¹It happened that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul, having passed through the upper country, came to Ephesus, and found certain disciples.

²«កាលបងប្អូនចាប់ផ្ដើមជឿនោះតើបងប្អូនទទួលព្រះវិញ្ញាណដ៏វិសុទ្ធ ហើយឬនៅ?»។ គេតបមកលោកវិញថា៖ «យើងខ្ញុំមិនដែលទាំងឮថា មានព្រះវិញ្ញាណដ៏វិសុទ្ធផង!»។

²He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” They said to him, “No, we haven’t even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.”

³លោកសួរគេទៀតថា៖ «ដូច្នេះ តើបងប្អូនបានទទួលពិធីជ្រមុជទឹក ណា?»។ គេតបថា៖ «ពិធីជ្រមុជទឹករបស់លោកយ៉ូហាន»។

³He said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.”

⁴លោកប៉ូលក៏មានប្រសាសន៍ថា៖ «លោកយ៉ូហានបានធ្វើពិធីជ្រមុជទឹកអោយអស់អ្នកដែលកែប្រែចិត្ដគំនិត ទាំងមានប្រសាសន៍ប្រាប់ប្រជាជនអោយជឿលើព្រះអង្គដែលយាងមកក្រោយលោក គឺព្រះយេស៊ូនេះហើយ»។

⁴Paul said, “John indeed baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe in the one who would come after him, that is, in Jesus.”

⁵ក្រោយបានឮលោកប៉ូលមានប្រសាសន៍ដូច្នោះ ពួកសិស្សក៏ទទួលពិធីជ្រមុជទឹកក្នុងព្រះនាមព្រះអម្ចាស់យេស៊ូ។

⁵When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.

⁶លោកប៉ូលបានដាក់ដៃលើគេ ព្រះវិញ្ញាណដ៏វិសុទ្ធក៏យាងមកសណ្ឋិតលើគេហើយគេនាំគ្នានិយាយភាសាចំឡែកអស្ចារ្យ និង ថ្លែងព្រះបន្ទូលផង។

⁶When Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they spoke with other languages and prophesied.

⁷អ្នកទាំងនោះមានគ្នាទាំងអស់ប្រមាណដប់ពីរនាក់។

⁷They were about twelve men in all.

⁸លោកប៉ូលបានចូលទៅសាលាប្រជុំ ហើយមានប្រសាសន៍ដោយចិត្ដអង់អាច ក្នុងអំឡុងពេលបីខែ។ លោកបានសន្ទនាជាមួយពួកគេអំពីព្រះរាជ្យ របស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ និង ខិតខំណែនាំពួកគេអោយជឿ។

⁸He entered into the synagogue, and spoke boldly for a period of three months, reasoning and persuading about the things concerning the Kingdom of God.

⁹ប៉ុន្ដែ ដោយអ្នកខ្លះនៅតែមានចិត្ដមានះមិនព្រមជឿ ថែមទាំងប្រមាថមាគ៌ារបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់នៅមុខប្រជុំជនផងនោះ លោកក៏ចាកចេញពីពួកគេ នាំសិស្សទៅដាច់ឡែកហើយបង្រៀនគេជារៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃនៅក្នុង សាលាទីរ៉ាណុស

⁹But when some were hardened and disobedient, speaking evil of the Way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, reasoning daily in the school of Tyrannus.

¹⁰លោកបានបង្រៀនគេអស់រយៈពេលពីរឆ្នាំ គឺរហូតទាល់តែអ្នកស្រុកអាស៊ីទាំងអស់ ទាំងសាសន៍យូដាទាំងសាសន៍ក្រិកបានឮព្រះបន្ទូលរបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់។

¹⁰This continued for two years, so that all those who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.

¹¹ពេលនោះ ព្រះអម្ចាស់បានធ្វើការអស្ចារ្យដ៏ធំៗជាច្រើនតាមរយៈលោកប៉ូល

¹¹God worked special miracles by the hands of Paul,

¹²គឺបើគេគ្រាន់តែយកក្រណាត់ ឬ កន្សែងដែលបានប៉ះលោកប៉ូល មកដាក់ពីលើអ្នកជំងឺអ្នកជំងឺនឹងបានជា ហើយវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់ក៏នឹងចេញពីគេទៅដែរ។

¹²so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were carried away from his body to the sick, and the evil spirits went out.

¹³មានគ្រូដេញវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់ជាតិយូដាខ្លះ តែងធ្វើដំណើរពីកន្លែងមួយទៅកន្លែងមួយ ចង់ដេញវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់ចេញពីមនុស្ស ដោយប្រើព្រះនាមព្រះអម្ចាស់យេស៊ូ គឺគេនិយាយទៅវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់ថា៖«យើងបញ្ជាពួកឯង ក្នុងព្រះនាមព្រះយេស៊ូដែលលោកប៉ូលប្រកាស ចូរចេញទៅ!»។

¹³But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, “We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches.”

¹⁴កូនប្រុសទាំងប្រាំពីររបស់លោកស្កេវ៉ា ដែលជានាយកបូជាចារ្យ របស់សាសន៍យូដា ក៏បានធ្វើដូច្នេះដែរ។

¹⁴There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this.

¹⁵វិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់បានតបមកអ្នកទាំងនោះវិញថា៖ «យើងស្គាល់ព្រះយេស៊ូហើយក៏ដឹងថាលោកប៉ូលជានរណាដែរ ចុះឯងរាល់គ្នាវិញឯងជានរណា?»។

¹⁵The evil spirit answered, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?”

¹⁶អ្នកដែលមានវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់ចូលបានស្ទុះមកសង្កត់ពួកគេជាប់ ហើយវិញ្ញាណអាក្រក់មានកម្លាំងជាង រហូតទាល់តែធ្វើអោយអ្នកទាំងនោះរត់ចេញពីផ្ទះរបូតខោ របូតអាវ និង ត្រូវរបួសទៀតផង។

¹⁶The man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overpowered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

¹⁷មនុស្សម្នានៅក្រុងអេភេសូ ទាំងសាសន៍យូដា ទាំងសាសន៍ក្រិក បានដឹងរឿងនេះ ហើយកោតខ្លាចគ្រប់ៗគ្នា។ ពេលនោះ គេលើកតម្កើងព្រះនាមរបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់យេស៊ូ។

¹⁷This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived at Ephesus. Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

¹⁸មានអ្នកជឿជាច្រើននាក់ បាននាំគ្នាមកទទួលសារភាពជាសាធារណៈ នូវអំពើដែលខ្លួនធ្លាប់ប្រព្រឹត្ដកាលពីមុន

¹⁸Many also of those who had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds.

¹⁹ហើយក៏មានអស់អ្នកដែលធ្លាប់ប្រព្រឹត្ដអំពើអាបធ្មប់ ក៏បានយកក្បួនតម្រារបស់ខ្លួនមកដុតចោល នៅមុខគេឯងទាំងអស់គ្នាផង។ គេបានគិតគូររបស់ទាំងនោះ ឃើញថាមានតម្លៃប្រាំម៉ឺនដួង ។

¹⁹Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted their price, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver. The 50,000 pieces of silver here probably referred to 50,000 drachmas. If so, the value of the burned books was equivalent to about 160 man-years of wages for agricultural laborers

²⁰មកពីព្រះអម្ចាស់បានសំដែងព្រះចេស្ដាដូច្នេះហើយបានជាព្រះបន្ទូលរីកចំរើន និង មានប្រសិទ្ធភាពកាន់តែខ្លាំងឡើងៗ។

²⁰So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty.

²¹ក្រោយពីព្រឹត្ដិការណ៍នោះមក ព្រះវិញ្ញាណណែនាំលោកប៉ូលអោយសំរេចចិត្ដទៅក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹម ដោយធ្វើដំណើរឆ្លងកាត់ស្រុកម៉ាសេដូន និង ស្រុកអាខៃ។ លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ថា៖«កាលណាទៅដល់ស្រុកនោះខ្ញុំត្រូវតែទៅក្រុងរ៉ូមទៀត»។

²¹Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, “After I have been there, I must also see Rome.”

²²លោកបានចាត់សហការីរបស់លោកពីររូប គឺលោកធីម៉ូថេ និង លោកអេរ៉ាស្ដុស អោយទៅស្រុកម៉ាសេដូនមុនរីឯលោកលោកស្នាក់នៅក្នុងស្រុកអាស៊ីមួយរយៈពេលសិន។

²²Having sent into Macedonia two of those who served him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

²³នៅគ្រានោះ មានកើតការបះបោរមួយយ៉ាងខ្លាំងព្រោះតែមាគ៌ារបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់។

²³About that time there arose no small stir concerning the Way.

²⁴មានជាងចម្លាក់ម្នាក់ឈ្មោះដេមេទ្រាស ដែលបានធ្វើរូបវិហាររបស់ព្រះនាងឌីអានពីប្រាក់ ហើយគាត់បានផ្ដល់កំរៃជាច្រើនដល់ពួកកូនជាង។

²⁴For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen,

²⁵គាត់បានប្រមូលកូនជាងរបស់គាត់ និង អស់អ្នកដែលមានមុខរបរដូចគ្នាមក រួចពោលថា៖«បងប្អូនអើយ បងប្អូនជ្រាបស្រាប់ហើយថា យើងបានរស់ស្រួល ក៏ដោយសារតែមុខរបរនេះ

²⁵whom he gathered together, with the workmen of like occupation, and said, “Sirs, you know that by this business we have our wealth.

²⁶ហើយបងប្អូនក៏បានឃើញបានឮដែរថា ឈ្មោះប៉ូលនោះបញ្ចុះបញ្ចូលនាំ មហាជនអោយទៅតាមគាត់ មិនត្រឹមតែនៅក្រុងអេភេសូនេះប៉ុណ្ណោះទេគឺសឹងតែពេញស្រុកអាស៊ីទាំងមូលថែមទៀតផង ដោយពោលថា រូបព្រះដែលធ្វើដោយដៃមនុស្ស មិនមែនជាព្រះឡើយ។

²⁶You see and hear, that not at Ephesus alone, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods, that are made with hands.

²⁷ការនេះមិនត្រឹមតែបន្ថោកបន្ទាបមុខរបររបស់យើងប៉ុណ្ណោះទេ គឺថែមទាំងធ្វើអោយព្រះវិហារនៃព្រះនាងឌីអានដ៏ប្រសើរឧត្ដមរបស់យើងត្រូវរលាយហើយកិត្ដិនាមរបស់ព្រះនាង ដែលអ្នកស្រុកអាស៊ី និង សកលលោកទាំងមូលធ្លាប់ថ្វាយបង្គំ មុខជាត្រូវធ្លាក់ចុះអន់ថយទៀតផង»។

²⁷Not only is there danger that this our trade come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing, and her majesty destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships.”

²⁸កាលបានឮពាក្យនេះហើយ គេខឹងយ៉ាងខ្លាំងក៏នាំគ្នាស្រែកឡើងថា៖ «ព្រះនាងឌីអានជាព្រះរបស់អ្នកក្រុងអេភេសូ ទ្រង់ប្រសើរឧត្ដម!»។

²⁸When they heard this they were filled with anger, and cried out, saying, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

²⁹ពេលនោះ មានកើតវឹកវរពាសពេញទីក្រុង គេលើកគ្នាដើរតំរង់ទៅលានមហោស្រព ទាំងអូសទាញលោកកៃយុស និង លោកអើរីស្ដាកជាអ្នកស្រុកម៉ាសេដូនដែលរួមដំណើរជាមួយលោកប៉ូលទៅផង។

²⁹The whole city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul’s companions in travel.

³⁰លោកប៉ូលមានបំណងទៅជួបប្រជាជនប៉ុន្ដែ ពួកសិស្ស បានឃាត់លោកមិនអោយទៅទេ

³⁰When Paul wanted to enter in to the people, the disciples didn’t allow him.

³¹សូម្បីតែមន្ដ្រីក្រុងខ្លះដែលជាមិត្ដភក្ដិរបស់លោក ក៏បានចាត់គេអោយទៅជំរាបលោកមិនអោយទៅលានមហោស្រពដែរ។

³¹Certain also of the Asiarchs, being his friends, sent to him and begged him not to venture into the theater.

³²នៅពេលនោះ អ្នកខ្លះស្រែកយ៉ាងនេះ អ្នកខ្លះស្រែកយ៉ាងនោះ ដ្បិតមានកើតច្របូក ច្របល់ពេញអង្គប្រជុំទាំងមូល ហើយមានអ្នកខ្លះមិនទាំងដឹងថាគេមកប្រជុំគ្នារឿងអ្វីផង។

³²Some therefore cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most of them didn’t know why they had come together.

³³ពេលនោះ ជនជាតិយូដាបានរុញបុរសម្នាក់ ឈ្មោះអលេក្សានត្រុសអោយចេញពីក្នុងចំណោមបណ្ដាជន ឡើងទៅឈរនៅខាងមុខ។ អលេក្សានត្រុសក៏លើកដៃធ្វើសញ្ញា ព្រោះគាត់ចង់ឆ្លើយដោះសានៅមុខប្រជាជន។

³³They brought Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. Alexander beckoned with his hand, and would have made a defense to the people.

³⁴ប៉ុន្ដែ កាលប្រជាជនឃើញថាគាត់ជាជនជាតិយូដា គេក៏ស្រែកឡើងព្រមគ្នាអស់រយៈពេលជិតពីរម៉ោងថា៖ «ព្រះនាងឌីអានជាព្រះរបស់អ្នកក្រុងអេភេសូទ្រង់ប្រសើរឧត្ដម!»។

³⁴But when they perceived that he was a Jew, all with one voice for a time of about two hours cried out, “Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!”

³⁵នៅទីបំផុត លោកលេខាធិការក្រុងបានឃាត់បណ្ដាជនអោយនៅស្ងៀម ដោយពោលថា៖«បងប្អូនជាអ្នកក្រុងអេភេសូអើយ! តើនរណាមិនដឹងថា ក្រុងអេភេសូ ជាក្រុងរបស់ព្រះនាងឌីអាន ដែលជាព្រះដ៏ប្រសើរឧត្ដម និង ជាក្រុងដែលមានរូបសំណាកធ្លាក់ចុះពីស្ថានសួគ៌មកនោះ!។

³⁵When the town clerk had quieted the multitude, he said, “You men of Ephesus, what man is there who doesn’t know that the city of the Ephesians is temple keeper of the great goddess Artemis, and of the image which fell down from Zeus?

³⁶ត្រង់នេះគ្មាននរណាអាចជំទាស់បានទេ សូមបងប្អូននៅស្ងៀមទៅ កុំប្រព្រឹត្ដដោយឥតពិចារណាដូច្នេះ។

³⁶Seeing then that these things can’t be denied, you ought to be quiet, and to do nothing rash.

³⁷បងប្អូនបាននាំអ្នកទាំងនេះមក ប៉ុន្ដែ គេមិនបានប្លន់ព្រះវិហារ ឬ ក៏ពោលពាក្យអ្វីប្រមាថព្រះនាងរបស់យើងទេ។

³⁷For you have brought these men here, who are neither robbers of temples nor blasphemers of your goddess.

³⁸ប្រសិនបើលោកដេមេទ្រាស និង ពួកជាងដែលនៅជាមួយគាត់មានរឿងអ្វីទាស់នឹងនរណា ត្រូវនាំពាក្យបណ្ដឹងមកជូនអស់លោកជារាជប្រតិភូ រកយុត្ដិធម៌អោយនៅថ្ងៃជំនុំជំរះទៅ!។

³⁸If therefore Demetrius and the craftsmen who are with him have a matter against anyone, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls. Let them press charges against one another.

³⁹ប្រសិនបើបងប្អូនចង់តវ៉ាអំពីរឿងអ្វីទៀតនោះ ចាំដល់ពេលមានអង្គប្រជុំពេញច្បាប់ គេនឹងដោះស្រាយជូន។

³⁹But if you seek anything about other matters, it will be settled in the regular assembly.

⁴⁰បើមិនដូច្នោះទេ សុំប្រយ័ត្ន ក្រែងយើងត្រូវជាប់ចោទថាជាអ្នកបះបោរ ព្រោះតែរឿងរ៉ាវដែលកើតមានឡើងនៅថ្ងៃនេះ ដ្បិតយើងគ្មានមូលហេតុអ្វី ដើម្បីដោះសាអំពីការប្រជុំគ្នានេះបានឡើយ»។

⁴⁰For indeed we are in danger of being accused concerning this day’s riot, there being no cause. Concerning it, we wouldn’t be able to give an account of this commotion.”

⁴¹គាត់មានប្រសាសន៍ដូច្នេះរួចហើយ ក៏ប្រាប់អង្គប្រជុំអោយបែកខ្ញែកគ្នាទៅ។

⁴¹When he had thus spoken, he dismissed the assembly.
