¹Now a certain man was sick, Lazarus from Bethany, of the village of Mary and her sister, Martha.

²នាងម៉ារីនេះ ជាស្ដ្រីម្នាក់ដែលបានចាក់ប្រេងក្រអូបលើព្រះបាទារបស់ព្រះអម្ចាស់ព្រមទាំងបានយកសក់របស់នាងមកជូតផង។ រីឯលោកឡាសារដែលឈឺនោះ ត្រូវជាប្អូនបង្កើតរបស់នាង។

²It was that Mary who had anointed the Lord with ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother, Lazarus, was sick.

³នាងទាំងពីរនាក់បានចាត់គេអោយទៅទូលព្រះយេស៊ូថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់អ្នកដែលលោកស្រឡាញ់ កំពុងតែមានជំងឺ»។

³The sisters therefore sent to him, saying, “Lord, behold, he for whom you have great affection is sick.”

⁴កាលព្រះយេស៊ូជ្រាបដំណឹងនេះ ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «ជំងឺនេះកើតឡើង មិនមែនអោយគាត់បាត់បង់ជីវិតទេ គឺដើម្បីលើកតម្កើងសិរីរុងរឿងរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ព្រមទាំងអោយព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះអង្គសំដែងសិរីរុងរឿងវិញ»។

⁴But when Jesus heard it, he said, “This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that God’s Son may be glorified by it.”

⁵ព្រះយេស៊ូស្រឡាញ់នាងម៉ាថា ប្អូនស្រីរបស់នាង និង លោកឡាសារណាស់។

⁵Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

⁶កាលព្រះអង្គជ្រាបដំណឹងថា លោកឡាសារមានជំងឺ ព្រះអង្គគង់នៅកន្លែងដដែលនោះពីរថ្ងៃទៀត

⁶When therefore he heard that he was sick, he stayed two days in the place where he was.

⁷បន្ទាប់មកព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅពួកសិស្ស ថា៖ «យើងនាំគ្នាត្រឡប់ទៅស្រុកយូដាវិញ»។

⁷Then after this he said to the disciples, “Let’s go into Judea again.”

⁸ពួកសិស្សទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «ព្រះគ្រូ ជនជាតិយូដា ទើបនឹងចង់យកដុំថ្មគប់ធ្វើគុតព្រះអង្គថ្មីៗនេះសោះ ហេតុដូចម្ដេចបានជាព្រះអង្គចង់វិលទៅស្រុកនោះវិញ!»។

⁸The disciples told him, “Rabbi, the Jews were just trying to stone you, and are you going there again?”

⁹ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលតបថា៖ «ក្នុងមួយថ្ងៃមានដប់ពីរម៉ោង អ្នកណាដើរនៅពេលថ្ងៃ អ្នកនោះមិនជំពប់ជើងដួលឡើយ ព្រោះគេឃើញពន្លឺរបស់ពិភពលោកនេះ។

⁹Jesus answered, “Aren’t there twelve hours of daylight? If a man walks in the day, he doesn’t stumble, because he sees the light of this world.

¹⁰ផ្ទុយទៅវិញ អ្នកណាដើរនៅពេលយប់ អ្នកនោះមុខតែជំពប់ជើងដួលជាមិនខានព្រោះគេគ្មានពន្លឺនៅក្នុងខ្លួនទេ»។

¹⁰ But if a man walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light isn’t in him.”

¹¹ក្រោយមក ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅគេថែមទៀតថា៖ «ឡាសារជាមិត្ដសំឡាញ់របស់យើងសំរាន្ដលក់ទៅ ហើយ ខ្ញុំត្រូវតែទៅដាស់គាត់ អោយភ្ញាក់ឡើងវិញ»។

¹¹He said these things, and after that, he said to them, “Our friend, Lazarus, has fallen asleep, but I am going so that I may awake him out of sleep.”

¹²ពួកសិស្សទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់ ប្រសិនបើគាត់សំរាន្ដលក់ដូច្នេះគាត់នឹងបានជាវិញមិនខាន»។

¹²The disciples therefore said, “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

¹³តាមពិតព្រះយេស៊ូចង់មានព្រះបន្ទូលថា លោកឡាសារស្លាប់បាត់ទៅហើយ ប៉ុន្ដែ ពួកសិស្សស្មានថាព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា គាត់សំរាន្ដលក់ធម្មតា។

¹³Now Jesus had spoken of his death, but they thought that he spoke of taking rest in sleep.

¹⁴ហេតុនេះហើយបានជាព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលបញ្ជាក់យ៉ាងច្បាស់ថា៖ «ឡាសារស្លាប់ទៅហើយ

¹⁴So Jesus said to them plainly then, “Lazarus is dead.

¹⁵បើគិតពីប្រយោជន៍អ្នករាល់គ្នា ខ្ញុំសប្បាយចិត្ដ ដោយខ្ញុំមិនបាននៅទីនោះ ដើម្បីអោយអ្នករាល់គ្នាបានជឿ។ ឥឡូវនេះយើងនាំគ្នាទៅផ្ទះគាត់»។

¹⁵ I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, so that you may believe. Nevertheless, let’s go to him.”

¹⁶ពេលនោះ សិស្សថូម៉ាស់ ហៅឌីឌីម ពោលទៅសិស្សឯទៀតថា៖ «មក! យើងនាំគ្នាទៅរួមស្លាប់ជាមួយព្រះអង្គដែរ!»។

¹⁶Thomas therefore, who is called Didymus, “Didymus” means “Twin” said to his fellow disciples, “Let’s go also, that we may die with him.”

¹⁷កាលព្រះយេស៊ូយាងទៅដល់ ព្រះអង្គក៏ជ្រាបថាគេបានដាក់សពលោកឡាសារក្នុងផ្នូរ បួនថ្ងៃហើយ។

¹⁷So when Jesus came, he found that he had been in the tomb four days already.

¹⁸ភូមិបេថានីមានចម្ងាយប្រមាណបីគីឡូម៉ែត្រពីក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹម។

¹⁸Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen stadia 15 stadia is about 2.8 kilometers or 1.7 miles away.

¹⁹មានជនជាតិយូដាជាច្រើននាំគ្នាមកជួយរំលែកទុក្ខនាងម៉ាថា និង នាងម៉ារីក្នុងពេលប្អូនស្លាប់។

¹⁹Many of the Jews had joined the women around Martha and Mary, to console them concerning their brother.

²⁰កាលនាងម៉ាថាបានដឹងថា ព្រះយេស៊ូយាងមកដល់ នាងក៏ចេញទៅទទួលព្រះអង្គ រីឯនាងម៉ារីវិញ នាងអង្គុយនៅក្នុងផ្ទះ។

²⁰Then when Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him, but Mary stayed in the house.

²¹នាងម៉ាថាទូលព្រះយេស៊ូថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់ ប្រសិនបើលោកបាននៅទីនេះប្អូននាងខ្ញុំមិនស្លាប់ទេ។

²¹Therefore Martha said to Jesus, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.

²²ប៉ុន្ដែ ឥឡូវនេះ នាងខ្ញុំដឹងថាបើលោកសុំអ្វីពីព្រះជាម្ចាស់ក៏ដោយ ព្រះអង្គមុខជានឹងប្រទានអោយមិនខាន»។

²²Even now I know that, whatever you ask of God, God will give you.”

²³ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖ «ប្អូននាងនឹងរស់ឡើងវិញ»។

²³Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.”

²⁴នាងទូលទៅព្រះអង្គវិញថា៖ «នាងខ្ញុំដឹងហើយ នៅថ្ងៃចុងក្រោយបំផុត កាលណាមនុស្សស្លាប់នឹងរស់ឡើងវិញ ប្អូននាងខ្ញុំក៏នឹងរស់ឡើងវិញដែរ»។

²⁴Martha said to him, “I know that he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day.”

²⁵ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖ «ខ្ញុំហ្នឹងហើយដែលប្រោសមនុស្សអោយរស់ឡើងវិញ ខ្ញុំនឹងផ្ដល់អោយគេមានជីវិត។ អ្នកណាជឿលើខ្ញុំ ទោះបីស្លាប់ទៅហើយក៏ដោយ ក៏នឹងបានរស់ជាមិនខាន។

²⁵Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will still live, even if he dies.

²⁶រីឯអស់អ្នកដែលកំពុងតែមានជីវិតនៅរស់ ហើយជឿលើខ្ញុំ មិនស្លាប់សោះឡើយ តើនាងជឿសេចក្ដីនេះឬទេ?»។

²⁶ Whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

²⁷នាងម៉ាថាទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់! ខ្ញុំម្ចាស់ជឿថា ព្រះអង្គពិតជាព្រះគ្រិស្ដ ជាព្រះបុត្រារបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ ហើយពិតជាព្រះអង្គដែលត្រូវយាងមកក្នុងពិភពលោកនេះមែន!»។

²⁷She said to him, “Yes, Lord. I have come to believe that you are the Christ, God’s Son, he who comes into the world.”

²⁸នាងម៉ាថានិយាយដូច្នេះហើយ ក៏ចេញទៅហៅនាងម៉ារីជាប្អូន ដោយស្ងាត់ៗថា៖ «ព្រះគ្រូយាងមកដល់ហើយព្រះអង្គហៅប្អូនឯង»។

²⁸When she had said this, she went away, and called Mary, her sister, secretly, saying, “The Teacher is here, and is calling you.”

²⁹នាងម៉ារីឮហើយក៏ស្ទុះក្រោកឡើង ទៅគាល់ព្រះយេស៊ូជាប្រញាប់។

²⁹When she heard this, she arose quickly, and went to him.

³⁰ពេលនោះ ព្រះអង្គពុំទាន់យាងចូលក្នុងភូមិនៅឡើយទេ គឺព្រះអង្គគង់នៅកន្លែងដែលនាងម៉ាថាទៅជួប។

³⁰Now Jesus had not yet come into the village, but was in the place where Martha met him.

³¹ជនជាតិយូដា ដែលមកជួយរំលែកទុក្ខក្នុងផ្ទះជាមួយនាងម៉ារី ឃើញនាងស្ទុះក្រោកឡើង ប្រញាប់ប្រញាល់ចេញទៅខាងក្រៅដូច្នេះ ក៏នាំគ្នាចេញទៅតាម ព្រោះគេស្មានថានាងទៅយំឯផ្នូរ។

³¹Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and were consoling her, when they saw Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”

³²លុះនាងម៉ារីទៅដល់កន្លែងព្រះយេស៊ូគង់នៅហើយ នាងឃើញព្រះអង្គក៏ក្រាបទៀបព្រះបាទាទូលថា៖ «លោកម្ចាស់! ប្រសិនបើលោកបាននៅទីនេះ ប្អូនប្រុសនាងខ្ញុំមិនស្លាប់ទេ»។

³²Therefore when Mary came to where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell down at his feet, saying to him, “Lord, if you would have been here, my brother wouldn’t have died.”

³³ពេលព្រះយេស៊ូឃើញនាងម៉ារី និង ជនជាតិយូដាដែលមកជាមួយនាងយំដូច្នេះ ព្រះអង្គរំជួលព្រះហឫទ័យ ហើយរន្ធត់ជាខ្លាំងផង។

³³When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned in the spirit, and was troubled,

³⁴ព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលសួរថា៖ «តើអ្នករាល់គ្នាយកសពទៅទុកនៅឯណា?»។ គេទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖ «សូមអញ្ជើញមកលោកនឹងឃើញ»។

³⁴and said, “Where have you laid him?” They told him, “Lord, come and see.”

³⁵ពេលនោះ ព្រះយេស៊ូទ្រង់ព្រះកន្សែង។

³⁵Jesus wept.

³⁶ជនជាតិយូដានាំគ្នាពោលថា៖ «មើល៍! លោកស្រឡាញ់ឡាសារខ្លាំងណាស់!»។

³⁶The Jews therefore said, “See how much affection he had for him!”

³⁷ប៉ុន្តែ នៅក្នុងចំណោមពួកគេ មានអ្នកខ្លះនិយាយថា៖ «លោកអាចធ្វើអោយមនុស្សខ្វាក់មើលឃើញ ម្ដេចក៏លោកមិនធ្វើអោយឡាសារគេចផុតពីស្លាប់ផងទៅ!»។

³⁷Some of them said, “Couldn’t this man, who opened the eyes of him who was blind, have also kept this man from dying?”

³⁸ព្រះយេស៊ូរំជួលព្រះហឫទ័យម្ដងទៀត រួចយាងទៅផ្នូរ។ ផ្នូរនោះជារូងភ្នំមានថ្មបាំងនៅមាត់រូង។

³⁸Jesus therefore, again groaning in himself, came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

³⁹ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖«សុំយកថ្មនេះចេញ!»។ នាងម៉ាថាជាបងរបស់សពទូលព្រះអង្គថា៖«បពិត្រព្រះអម្ចាស់ សពធំក្លិនហើយ ព្រោះគេបានយកមកដាក់ តាំងពីបួនថ្ងៃម៉្លេះ»។

³⁹Jesus said, “Take away the stone.” Martha, the sister of him who was dead, said to him, “Lord, by this time there is a stench, for he has been dead four days.”

⁴⁰ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅនាងថា៖«ខ្ញុំបានប្រាប់នាងរួចមកហើយថាបើនាងជឿ នាងនឹងឃើញសិរីរុងរឿងរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់»។

⁴⁰Jesus said to her, “Didn’t I tell you that if you believed, you would see God’s glory?”

⁴¹គេក៏យកថ្មចេញពីមាត់ផ្នូរ។ ព្រះយេស៊ូងើបព្រះភ័ក្ដ្រទតទៅលើ មានព្រះបន្ទូលថា៖ «បពិត្រព្រះបិតា ទូលបង្គំសូមអរព្រះគុណព្រះអង្គ ដែលទ្រង់ព្រះសណ្ដាប់ទូលបង្គំ។

⁴¹So they took away the stone from the place where the dead man was lying. NU omits “from the place where the dead man was lying.” Jesus lifted up his eyes, and said, “Father, I thank you that you listened to me.

⁴²ចំពោះទូលបង្គំ ទូលបង្គំដឹងថា ព្រះអង្គទ្រង់ព្រះសណ្ដាប់ទូលបង្គំជានិច្ច ប៉ុន្ដែ ទូលបង្គំទូលព្រះអង្គដូច្នេះ ដើម្បីអោយបណ្ដាជនដែលនៅជុំវិញទូលបង្គំជឿថា ព្រះអង្គពិតជាបានចាត់ទូលបង្គំអោយមកមែន»។

⁴² I know that you always listen to me, but because of the multitude that stands around I said this, that they may believe that you sent me.”

⁴³លុះព្រះអង្គមានព្រះបន្ទូលដូច្នេះហើយ ទ្រង់បន្លឺព្រះសូរសៀងខ្លាំងៗថា៖ «ឡាសារអើយ!ចេញមក!»។

⁴³When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

⁴⁴ពេលនោះ លោកឡាសារដែលបានស្លាប់ ក៏ចេញពីផ្នូរមក មានទាំងក្រណាត់រុំដៃជើង និង កន្សែងគ្របមុខផង។ ព្រះយេស៊ូមានព្រះបន្ទូលទៅពួកគេថា៖ «សុំស្រាយក្រណាត់ចេញពីគាត់ ហើយអោយគាត់ទៅចុះ»។

⁴⁴He who was dead came out, bound hand and foot with wrappings, and his face was wrapped around with a cloth. Jesus said to them, “Free him, and let him go.”

⁴⁵ជនជាតិយូដាជាច្រើននាក់ ដែលមកផ្ទះនាងម៉ារីបានឃើញព្រះយេស៊ូធ្វើកិច្ចការទាំងនោះ ក៏ជឿលើព្រះអង្គ។

⁴⁵Therefore many of the Jews, who came to Mary and saw what Jesus did, believed in him.

⁴⁶ប៉ុន្ដែ មានគ្នាគេខ្លះទៅជួបពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី រៀបរាប់នូវកិច្ចការដែលព្រះយេស៊ូបានធ្វើ។

⁴⁶But some of them went away to the Pharisees, and told them the things which Jesus had done.

⁴⁷ពេលនោះ ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី បានកោះហៅក្រុមប្រឹក្សាជាន់ខ្ពស់ មកប្រជុំហើយពោលថា៖ «អ្នកនោះបានធ្វើទីសំគាល់ជាច្រើនតើយើងគិតធ្វើដូចម្ដេច?។

⁴⁷The chief priests therefore and the Pharisees gathered a council, and said, “What are we doing? For this man does many signs.

⁴⁸ប្រសិនបើយើងបណ្ដោយអោយគាត់ធ្វើដូច្នេះតទៅទៀត ប្រជាជនមុខតែជឿទៅលើគាត់ទាំងអស់គ្នា ហើយជនជាតិរ៉ូមុំាងនឹងមកបំផ្លាញព្រះវិហារ និង បំបាត់ជាតិសាសន៍របស់យើងជាមិនខាន»។

⁴⁸If we leave him alone like this, everyone will believe in him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.”

⁴⁹នៅក្នុងចំណោមពួកគេមានលោកម្នាក់ឈ្មោះ កៃផា ដែលជាមហាបូជាចារ្យនៅឆ្នាំនោះ លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ទៅគេថា៖ «អស់លោកពុំយល់អ្វីសោះ!

⁴⁹But a certain one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all,

⁵⁰តើអស់លោកគិតមិនឃើញទេឬថា បើមនុស្សតែម្នាក់ស្លាប់ ជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់ប្រជារាស្ដ្រនោះ ប្រសើរជាងទុកអោយជាតិទាំងមូលត្រូវវិនាស!»។

⁵⁰nor do you consider that it is advantageous for us that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation not perish.”

⁵¹លោកមានប្រសាសន៍ដូច្នេះ មិនមែនផុសចេញពីគំនិតខ្លួនឯងផ្ទាល់ឡើយ គឺក្នុងឋានៈជាមហាបូជាចារ្យនៅឆ្នាំនោះ លោកបានទាយថាព្រះយេស៊ូត្រូវសោយទិវង្គត ដើម្បីជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់សាសន៍យូដា

⁵¹Now he didn’t say this of himself, but being high priest that year, he prophesied that Jesus would die for the nation,

⁵²មិនគ្រាន់តែជាប្រយោជន៍ដល់សាសន៍នេះប៉ុណ្ណោះទេគឺដើម្បីអោយកូនចៅរបស់ព្រះជាម្ចាស់ដែលបែកខ្ញែកគ្នា មករួបរួមជាប្រជាជនតែមួយ។

⁵²and not for the nation only, but that he might also gather together into one the children of God who are scattered abroad.

⁵³តាំងពីថ្ងៃនោះមក ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ី បានសំរេចធ្វើគុតព្រះយេស៊ូ។

⁵³So from that day forward they took counsel that they might put him to death.

⁵⁴ហេតុដូច្នេះហើយបានជាព្រះអង្គមិនយាងទៅមក ដោយចេញមុខអោយជនជាតិយូដាឃើញទៀតឡើយ គឺព្រះអង្គចាកចេញពីទីនោះ ឆ្ពោះទៅតំបន់ជិតវាលរហោស្ថាន ត្រង់ភូមិមួយឈ្មោះអេប្រាអ៊ីមហើយទ្រង់ស្នាក់នៅ ក្នុងភូមិនោះជាមួយពួកសិស្ស ។

⁵⁴Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews, but departed from there into the country near the wilderness, to a city called Ephraim. He stayed there with his disciples.

⁵⁵ពេលនោះ ជិតដល់ថ្ងៃបុណ្យចម្លង របស់ជនជាតិយូដាហើយ។ អ្នកស្រុកជាច្រើន នាំគ្នាឡើងទៅក្រុងយេរូសាឡឹម មុនថ្ងៃបុណ្យ ដើម្បីធ្វើពិធីជំរះកាយអោយបានបរិសុទ្ធ ។

⁵⁵Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

⁵⁶គេរកព្រះយេស៊ូ ហើយនិយាយគ្នាទៅវិញទៅមកក្នុងព្រះវិហារ ថា៖ «អ្នកគិតដូចម្ដេច? លោកមិនហ៊ានមកចូលរួមក្នុងពិធីបុណ្យទេមើលទៅ!»។

⁵⁶Then they sought for Jesus and spoke one with another, as they stood in the temple, “What do you think—that he isn’t coming to the feast at all?”

⁵⁷ពួកនាយកបូជាចារ្យ និង ពួកខាងគណៈផារីស៊ីបានចេញបញ្ជាថា បើអ្នកណាដឹងព្រះអង្គគង់នៅឯណា ត្រូវប្រាប់ពួកគេ ដើម្បីអោយគេចាប់ព្រះអង្គ។

⁵⁷Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had commanded that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might seize him.
