¹ఆ రోజ్కినె బాప్తిసమ్ ఈథాని యోవాను యూథేయూతె మంథాని ఎడారితికి వాసి:

¹In those days, John the Baptizer came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, saying,

²మనుసు మార్సాటి థేమండు పలిసాని థేసమ్ దగ్గర వాసి మింథె ఇంజి బోథిసోరె మత్తో.

²“Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!”

³పెబునిసేంకా అర్రి తయ్యూర్ తుంగాటి, ఓనిసేంకా అర్రింగు సమానమ్ తుంగాటి ఇంజి ఎడారితె కూకవాటాని లేంగు కేంజకత్తె ఇంజి థేమండు-కెత్త-మాట కెత్త ఏసాయూ ఈనిగురించె కెత్తో.

³For this is he who was spoken of by Isaiah the prophet, saying, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness, make ready the way of the Lord. Make his paths straight.” Isaiah 40:3

⁴Now John himself wore clothing made of camel’s hair, with a leather belt around his waist. His food was locusts and wild honey.

⁵అస్కె యెరుసలేంతె మందనోరంథోరు, యూథేయూ థేసత్తోరంథోరు, యోం్దాను వాంగిని చుటుపక్క నాక్కినె మందనోరంథోరు ఓనగ్గ అంజి,

⁵Then people from Jerusalem, all of Judea, and all the region around the Jordan went out to him.

⁶They were baptized or, immersed by him in the Jordan, confessing their sins.

⁷But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming for his baptism, or, immersion he said to them, “You offspring of vipers, who warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

⁸Therefore bring forth fruit worthy of repentance!

¹¹I indeed baptize or, immerse you in water for repentance, but he who comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you in the Holy Spirit. TR and NU add “and with fire”

¹²ఓని కయుథె ఏతి మింథె; ఓండు ఓని కల్లమ్ చక్కంగ సుబ్బరమ్ తుంగి, ఓని గోదుమకిని గర్సెతె తొస్సి వాటితో. పొల్లుతిని పొత్తోరె మత్త కిస్దె పొడిసితో ఇంజోరె కెత్తొ.

¹²His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will thoroughly cleanse his threshing floor. He will gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn up with unquenchable fire.”

¹³అస్కె యోవానిన్ కయుథె బాప్తిసమ్ ఏందవాలె ఇంజి యేసు గలిలేయూతెనుంచి యోర్దాను వాంగింకి ఓనగ్గ వత్తో.

¹³Then Jesus came from Galilee to the Jordan to John, to be baptized by him.

¹⁴అస్కె యోవాను: నన్న నీ కయుథె బాప్తిసమ్ తీసుకుండవలసి మింథె; ఆలా మన్నంగా నిమ్మ నాయగ్గ వాసనీనే ఇంజోరె ఓనిని ఆప్తుంగనాంకి ఊడ్తో.

¹⁴But John would have hindered him, saying, “I need to be baptized by you, and you come to me?”

¹⁵గోని యేసు ఓనిని ఊడి: ఇంజెటికి ఈలా ఆదనిము; థేమండు కోరాని అన్ని నీతి పనుంగిని మనాడు తుంగాని అవసరమ్ మింథె ఇంజోరె ఓనితోటె కెత్తో. అస్కె యోవాను ఒప్పుకుట్టో.

¹⁵But Jesus, answering, said to him, “Allow it now, for this is the fitting way for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed him.

¹⁶Jesus, when he was baptized, went up directly from the water: and behold, the heavens were opened to him. He saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove, and coming on him.

¹⁷అస్కె ఆకాసతెనుంచి ఒరొ లేంగు వాసి ""నన్న బాగ పేమిసాని నా మర్రిని నిమ్మ, నీ పొం్రొ నాకు చాన సంతోసంగా మింథె'' ఇంజోరె కెత్తె.

¹⁷Behold, a voice out of the heavens said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
