¹[Ny amin'ny ho anjaran'ny mpisorona sy ny Levita] Ny Levita mpisorona, dia ny firenen'i Levy rehetra, tsy mba hanana anjara na lova eo amin'ny Isiraely; ny fanatitra atao amin'ny afo ho an'i Jehovah sy ny anjaran'i Jehovah no ho fihinany.

¹`There is not to the priests the Levites — all the tribe of Levi — a portion and inheritance with Israel; fire-offerings of Jehovah, even His inheritance, they eat,

²Fa tsy hanan-dova eo amin'ny rahalahiny izy; Jehovah no lovany, araka izay nolazainy taminy.

²and he hath no inheritance in the midst of his brethren; Jehovah Himself [is] his inheritance, as He hath spoken to him.

³Ary izao no ho anjaran'ny mpisorona avy amin'ny olona, dia avy amin'izay mamono zavatra hatao fanatitra, na omby, na ondry, na osy: dia homeny ho an'ny mpisorona ny sorony sy ny takolany roa ary ny vavoniny;

³`And this is the priest`s right from the people, from those sacrificing a sacrifice, whether ox or sheep, he hath even given to the priest the leg, and the two cheeks, and the stomach;

⁴ary ny voaloham-bokatry ny varinao koa sy ny ranom-boalobokao sy ny diloilonao ary ny voalohan'ny volon'ondrinao no homenao azy.

⁴the first of thy corn, of thy new wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the fleece of thy flock, thou dost give to him;

⁵Fa izy sy ny taranany no nofidin'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao tamin'ny firenenao rehetra hitsangana hanao fanompoam-pivavahana mandrakizay amin'ny anaran'i Jehovah.

⁵for on him hath Jehovah thy God fixed, out of all thy tribes, to stand to serve in the name of Jehovah, He and his sons continually.

⁶Ary raha misy Levita miala amin'ny tanànanao anankiray, izay nivahiniany, amin'ny Isiraely rehetra, ka mandeha araka ny fanirian'ny fony ho any amin'ny tany izay hofidin'i Jehovah,

⁶`And when the Levite cometh from one of thy cities out of all Israel, where he hath sojourned, and hath come with all the desire of his soul unto the place which Jehovah doth choose,

⁷ka manao fanompoam-pivavahana amin'ny anaran'i Jehovah Andriamaniny, tahaka ny Levita rahalahiny rehetra, izay mitsangana eo anatrehan'i Jehovah,

⁷then he hath ministered in the name of Jehovah his God, like all his brethren, the Levites, who are standing there before Jehovah,

⁸dia anjara mitovy amin'ny an'ireo ihany no ho fihinany, na dia misy aza izay vidin'ny azony tamin-drainy.

⁸portion as portion they do eat, apart from his sold things, with the fathers.

⁹[Ny amin'ny mpaminany] REHEFA tonga any amin'ny tany izay omen'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao anao ianao, dia aza mianatra hanao araka ny fahavetavetana ataon'ireo firenena ireo.

⁹`When thou art coming in unto the land which Jehovah thy God is giving to thee, thou dost not learn to do according to the abominations of those nations:

¹⁰Aoka tsy hisy eo aminao izay mampandeha ny zananilahy na ny zananivavy hamaky ny afo, na mpanao fankatovana, na mpanandro, na mpanao sikidy, na mpanana ody,

¹⁰there is not found in thee one causing his son and his daughter to pass over into fire, a user of divinations, an observer of clouds, and an enchanter, and a sorcerer,

¹¹na manao ho masim-bava, na mpanadina amin'ny manao azy ho tsindrian-javatra, na mpanao hatsarana, na mpanontany amin'ny maty.

¹¹and a charmer, and one asking at a familiar spirit, and a wizard, and one seeking unto the dead.

¹²Fa fahavetavetana eo imason'i Jehovah izay rehetra manao izany zavatra izany, ary izany fahavetavetana izany no androahan'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao azy eo anoloanao.

¹²`For the abomination of Jehovah [is] every one doing these, and because of these abominations is Jehovah thy God dispossessing them from thy presence.

¹³Aoka ho tanteraka amin'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ianao.

¹³Perfect thou art with Jehovah thy God,

¹⁴Fa ireo firenena izay efa horoahinao ireo dia mihaino ny mpanandro sy ny mpanao fankatovana; fa ianao kosa tsy navelan'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao hanao izany.

¹⁴for these nations whom thou art possessing, unto observers of clouds, and unto diviners, do hearken; and thou — not so hath Jehovah thy God suffered thee.

¹⁵Mpaminany avy eo aminao, dia avy amin'ny rahalahinao, tahaka ahy, no hatsangan'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao ho anao; izy no hohenoinareo;

¹⁵`A prophet out of thy midst, out of thy brethren, like to me, doth Jehovah thy God raise up to thee — unto him ye hearken;

¹⁶araka izay rehetra nangatahinao tamin'i Jehovah Andriamanitrao tao Horeba tamin'ny andro nivoriana hoe: Aoka tsy hihaino ny feon'i Jehovah Andriamanitro intsony aho, ary aoka tsy hahita izany afo lehibe izany intsony aho, fandrao maty.

¹⁶according to all that thou didst ask from Jehovah thy God, in Horeb, in the day of the assembly, saying, Let me not add to hear the voice of Jehovah my God, and this great fire let me not see any more, and I die not;

¹⁷Dia hoy Jehovah tamiko: Tsara ny teny izay nolazainy.

¹⁷and Jehovah saith unto me, They have done well that they have spoken;

¹⁸Mpaminany no hatsangako ho azy avy amin'ny rahalahiny, tahaka anao, ka hataoko ao am-bavany ny teniko, ary holazainy aminy izay rehetra handidiako azy.

¹⁸a prophet I raise up to them, out of the midst of their brethren, like to thee; and I have given my words in his mouth, and he hath spoken unto them all that which I command him;

¹⁹Ary izay rehetra tsy mihaino ny teniko, izay holazainy amin'ny anarako, dia Izaho no hitsara azy.

¹⁹and it hath been — the man who doth not hearken unto My words which he doth speak in My name, I require [it] of him.

²⁰Fa ny mpaminany izay sahy hilaza teny amin'ny anarako, nefa tsy nasaiko nolazainy, na izay miteny amin'ny anaran'andriamani-kafa, dia hatao maty.

²⁰`Only, the prophet who presumeth to speak a word in My name — that which I have not commanded him to speak — and who speaketh in the name of other gods — even that prophet hath died.

²¹Ary raha hoy ianao anakampo: Hataontsika ahoana no fahafantatra ny teny izay tsy nolazain'i Jehovah?Raha miteny amin'ny anaran'i Jehovah ny mpaminany, ka tsy efa ny zavatra, na tsy tanteraka, dia teny izay tsy nolazain'i Jehovah izany: tamin'ny fahasahisahiana no nilazan'ny mpaminany izany, koa aza matahotra azy.

²¹`And when thou sayest in thy heart, How do we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? —

²²Raha miteny amin'ny anaran'i Jehovah ny mpaminany, ka tsy efa ny zavatra, na tsy tanteraka, dia teny izay tsy nolazain'i Jehovah izany: tamin'ny fahasahisahiana no nilazan'ny mpaminany izany, koa aza matahotra azy.

²²that which the prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, and the thing is not, and cometh not — it [is] the word which Jehovah hath not spoken; in presumption hath the prophet spoken it; — thou art not afraid of him.
