¹`Give ear, O heavens, and I speak; And thou dost hear, O earth, sayings of my mouth!

²Ho avy tahaka ny ranonorana ny fampianarako, Ary hilatsaka tahaka ny ando ny teniko, Sy tahaka ny erika amin'ny ahi-maitso Ary ny ranonorana amin'ny anana.

²Drop as rain doth My doctrine; Flow as dew doth My sayings; As storms on the tender grass, And as showers on the herb,

³Fa ny anaran'i Jehovah no hotoriko; Maneke ny fahalehibiazan'Andriamanitsika.

³For the Name of Jehovah I proclaim, Ascribe ye greatness to our God!

⁴Ny amin'ny Vatolampy, tanteraka ny asany; Fa ny lalany rehetra dia amin'ny rariny avokoa. Andriamanitra mahatoky Izy, ka tsy misy ratsy ao aminy; Marina sy mahitsy Izy.

⁴The Rock! — perfect [is] His work, For all His ways [are] just; God of stedfastness, and without iniquity: Righteous and upright [is] He.

⁵Efa nasian-dratsy Izy; Tsy zanany ireny, tsininy izany; Taranaka miolakolaka sady efa nivadika izy.

⁵It hath done corruptly to Him; Their blemish is not His sons`, A generation perverse and crooked!

⁶Moa Jehovah hovalianareo toy izany va, Ry firenena adala ka tsy hendry? Tsy Izy va no Rainao, Izay nanavotra anao? Tsy Izy va no nanao anao sy nanorina anao?

⁶To Jehovah do ye act thus, O people foolish and not wise? Is not He thy father — thy possessor? He made thee, and doth establish thee.

⁷Remember days of old — Understand the years of many generations — Ask thy father, and he doth tell thee; Thine elders, and they say to thee:

⁸Fony nomen'ny Avo Indrindra zara-tany ny jentilisa, Ka samy natokantokany ny zanak'olombelona, Dia notendreny ny fari-tanin'ireo firenena Araka ny isan'ny Zanak'Isiraely.

⁸In the Most High causing nations to inherit, In His separating sons of Adam — He setteth up the borders of the peoples By the number of the sons of Israel.

⁹Fa anjaran'i Jehovah ny olony: Jakoba no natokany ho lovany.

⁹For Jehovah`s portion [is] His people, Jacob [is] the line of His inheritance.

¹⁰Nahita azy tany an-efitra Izy, Dia tany amin'ny tany foana be nampierona, Ka dia nanodidina sy niahy azy Ary notandremany tahaka ny anakandriamasony.

¹⁰He findeth him in a land — a desert, And in a void — a howling wilderness, He turneth him round — He causeth him to understand — He keepeth him as the apple of His eye.

¹¹Toy ny voromahery manaitra ny ao amin'ny akaniny Ka manidintsidina eo ambonin'ny zanany, Dia toy izany no namelarany ny elany sy nandraisany azy Ary nitondrany azy teo ambonin'ny elany,

¹¹As an eagle waketh up its nest, Over its young ones fluttereth, Spreadeth its wings — taketh them, Beareth them on its pinions; —

¹²Jehovah irery no nitondra azy, Ary tsy nisy andriamani-kafa teo aminy.

¹²Jehovah alone doth lead him, And there is no strange god with him.

¹³Nampandeha azy teny ambonin'ny havoana amin'ny tany Izy, Ka nohaniny ny vokatry ny saha. Nampitsentsitra azy tantely avy teo amin'ny vatolampy Izy Sy diloilo avy teo amin'ny vatolampy afovato

¹³He maketh him ride on high places of earth, And he eateth increase of the fields, And He maketh him suck honey from a rock, And oil out of the flint of a rock;

¹⁴Sy rononomandrin'omby sy rononon'ondry aman'osy Mbamin'ny tavin'ny zanak'ondry Sy ondrilahin'i Basana sy osilahy Ary vary izay vokatra indrindra; Ary nisotro divay mahery avy tamin'ny ran'ny voaloboka ianao.

¹⁴Butter of the herd, and milk of the flock, With fat of lambs, and rams, sons of Bashan, And he-goats, with fat of kidneys of wheat; And of the blood of the grape thou dost drink wine!

¹⁵Nihanatavy Jesorona ka namely daka, Efa matavy ianao sady vory nofo no vaventibe, Dia nahafoy an'Andriamanitra Izay nanao azy izy, Ary nanamavo ny Vatolampy famonjena azy.

¹⁵And Jeshurun waxeth fat, and doth kick: Thou hast been fat — thou hast been thick, Thou hast been covered. And he leaveth God who made him, And dishonoureth the Rock of his salvation.

¹⁶Nampahasaro-piaro Azy tamin'ny hafa Izy; Ary tamin'ny zava-betaveta no nampahasosorany Azy;

¹⁶They make Him zealous with strangers, With abominations they make Him angry.

¹⁷Namono zavatra ho fanatitra ho an'ny demonia izay tsy Andriamanitra izy, Dia andriamanitra tsy fantany, Fa andriamanitra vao niseho, Izay tsy natahoran'ny razanareo.

¹⁷They sacrifice to demons — no god! Gods they have not known — New ones — from the vicinity they came; Not feared them have your fathers!

¹⁸Ny Vatolampy Izay niteraka anao dia tsy tsaroanao, Ary hadinoinao Andriamanitra Izay nahary anao.

¹⁸The Rock that begat thee thou forgettest, And neglectest God who formeth thee.

¹⁹Ary Jehovah nahita izany ka nandà Noho ny fahasosorany tamin'ny zananilahy sy ny zananivavy.

¹⁹And Jehovah seeth and despiseth — For the provocation of His sons and His daughters.

²⁰Dia hoy Izy: Hafeniko azy ny tavako; Ho hitako izay hiafarany; Fa firenena tena mpivadibadika izy, Dia zaza tsy mahatoky.

²⁰And He saith: I hide My face from them, I see what [is] their latter end; For a froward generation [are] they, Sons in whom is no stedfastness.

²¹Izy efa nampahasaro-piaro Ahy tamin'izay tsy Andriamanitra Sy nampahasosotra Ahy tamin'ny zava-poanany; Ary Izaho kosa hampahasaro-piaro azy amin'izay tsy olona, Sy hampahasosotra azy amin'izay firenena adala.

²¹They have made Me zealous by `no-god,` They made Me angry by their vanities; And I make them zealous by `no-people,` By a foolish nation I make them angry.

²²Fa arehitra ny afon'ny fahatezerako, Ka mandoro hatrany amin'ny fiainan-tsi-hita any ambany indrindra, Sady mandevona ny tany mbamin'ny vokatra ao aminy Ary mampirehitra ny fanambanin'ny tendrombohitra aza.

²²For a fire hath been kindled in Mine anger, And it burneth unto Sheol — the lowest, And consumeth earth and its increase, And setteth on fire foundations of mountains.

²³Havangongoko aminy ny loza betsaka; Ary holaniko aminy ny zana-tsi-pikako:

²³I gather upon them evils, Mine arrows I consume upon them.

²⁴Hofezahin'ny mosary izy sady holanin'ny areti-mandripaka Sy ny fandringanana mangidy; Ary nifim-biby no hampandehaniko aminy Jesorona dia anaran'ny Isiraely. Mbamin'ny poizin'ny biby mpikisaka amin'ny vovoka.

²⁴Exhausted by famine, And consumed by heat, and bitter destruction. And the teeth of beasts I send upon them, With poison of fearful things of the dust.

²⁵Eny ivelany dia ny sabatra no hahafaty ny zanany, Ary ao amin'ny efi-trano dia ny fampahatahorana Na ny zatovolahy na ny zatovovavy, Na ny zaza minono na ny fotsy volo.

²⁵Without bereave doth the sword, And at the inner-chambers — fear, Both youth and virgin, Suckling with man of grey hair.

²⁶Fa efa nolazaiko hoe: Hotsofiko hihahaka izy; Hatsahatro ny fahatsiarovana azy tsy ho eo amin'ny zanak'olombelona,

²⁶I have said: I blow them away, I cause their remembrance to cease from man;

²⁷Raha tsy ny fireharehan'ny fahavalo no natahorako, Andrao diso hevitra ireny mpandrafy azy ireny Ka hanao hoe: Ny tananay no avo; Fa tsy Jehovah tsy akory no nanao izany rehetra izany.

²⁷If not — the anger of an enemy I fear, Lest their adversaries know — Lest they say, Our hand is high, And Jehovah hath not wrought all this.

²⁸Fa firenena tsy manan-tsaina izy Sady tsy manam-pahalalana.

²⁸For a nation lost to counsels [are] they, And there is no understanding in them.

²⁹Enga anie ka hendry izy mba hahalala izao Ka hahafantatra izay ho farany.

²⁹If they were wise — They deal wisely [with] this; They attend to their latter end:

³⁰Hataon'ny irery ahoana no fanenjika ny arivo, Ary hataon'ny roa lahy ahoana no fampandositra ny iray alina, Raha tsy ny Vatolampiny no efa nivarotra azy, Ary Jehovah no efa nanolotra azy?

³⁰How doth one pursue a thousand, And two cause a myriad to flee! If not — that their rock hath sold them, And Jehovah hath shut them up?

³¹Fa tsy mba mitovy amin'ny Vatolampintsika ny vatolampin'ireny, Na dia izy fahavalontsika aza no hitsara.

³¹For not as our Rock [is] their rock, (And our enemies [are] judges!)

³²Ny tahom-boalobony dia tahom-boalobok'i Sodoma Ary avy ao amin'ny sahan'i Gomora; Ny voalobony dia voaloboka mahafaty, Sady mangidy koa ny sampahony.

³²For of the vine of Sodom their vine [is], And of the fields of Gomorrah; Their grapes [are] grapes of gall — They have bitter clusters;

³³Ny divainy dia zava-mahafaty avy amin'ny dragona, Ary poizina loza avy amin'ny bibilava.

³³The poison of dragons [is] their wine And the fierce venom of asps.

³⁴Moa tsy voatahiry ato amiko va izany Ka voaisy kase ato an-trano firaketako?

³⁴Is it not laid up with Me? Sealed among My treasures?

³⁵Ahy ny famaliana sy ny fampanodiavana, Raha avy izay hahasolafaka ny tongony; Fa antomotra ny andro hahitany loza, Ary ho avy faingana ny zava-boatendry hanjo azy.

³⁵Mine [are] vengeance and recompense, At the due time — doth their foot slide; For near is a day of their calamity, And haste do things prepared for them.

³⁶Fa Jehovah hanome rariny ny olony Ary hanenina ny amin'ny mpanompony, Raha hitany fa lany ny heriny, Ka lasa avokoa na ny voahazona, na ny afaka.

³⁶For Jehovah doth judge His people, And for His servants doth repent Himself. For He seeth — the going away of power, And none is restrained and left.

³⁷Ary hiteny hoe Izy: Aiza ireo andriamaniny, Dia ny vatolampy izay nialofany,

³⁷And He hath said, Where [are] their gods — The rock in which they trusted;

³⁸Izay nihinana ny saboran'ny fanatiny Ary nisotro ny divain'ny fanatitra aidiny? Aoka ireny no hitsangana ka hamonjy anareo Ary ho fierena ho anareo.

³⁸Which the fat of their sacrifices do eat, They drink the wine of their libation! Let them arise and help you, Let it be for you a hiding-place!

³⁹Fantaro ankehitriny fa Izaho dia Izaho no Izy, Ka tsy misy andriamanitra eto amiko. Izaho no mahafaty sy mahavelona, Ary Izaho no maharatra sy mahasitrana, Ka tsy misy mahafaka amin'ny tanako.

³⁹See ye, now, that I — I [am] He, And there is no god with Me: I put to death, and I keep alive; I have smitten, and I heal; And there is not from My hand a deliverer,

⁴⁰Fa manangana ny tanako amin'ny lanitra Aho Ka manao hoe: Raha velona koa Aho mandrakizay:

⁴⁰For I lift up unto the heavens My hand, And have said, I live — to the age!

⁴¹Raha manasa ny sabatro manelatselatra Aho, Ka voarain'ny tanako ny fitsarana, Dia hampanodiaviko ny mpandrafy Ahy ny ataony, Ary hovaliako ny mankahala Ahy.

⁴¹If I have sharpened the brightness of My sword, And My hand doth lay hold on judgment, I turn back vengeance to Mine adversaries, And to those hating Me — I repay!

⁴²Hataoko mamon-drà ny zana-tsipikako, Ary ny sabatro hihina-nofo, Dia ny ran'ny voavono sy ny babo Mbamin'ny lohan'izay lehibe amin'ny fahavalo.

⁴²I make drunk Mine arrows with blood, And My sword devoureth flesh, From the blood of the pierced and captive, From the head of the freemen of the enemy.

⁴³Mihobia, ry jentilisa mbamin'ny olony; Fa ny ran'ny mpanompony no hovaliany. Hamaly ny mpandrafy Azy Izy, Ary hanao fanavotana kosa ho an'ny taniny sy ny olony.

⁴³Sing ye nations — [with] his people, For the blood of His servants He avengeth, And vengeance He turneth back on His adversaries, And hath pardoned His land — His people.`

⁴⁴Dia nandeha Mosesy ka nilaza ny teny rehetra amin'izany fihirana izany teo anatrehan'ny olona, dia izy sy Hosea, zanak'i Nona.

⁴⁴And Moses cometh and speaketh all the words of this song in the ears of the people, he and Hoshea son of Nun;

⁴⁵Ary nony efa tapitra voalazan'i Mosesy tamin'ny Isiraely rehetra izany teny rehetra izany,

⁴⁵and Moses finisheth to speak all these words unto all Israel,

⁴⁶dia hoy izy taminy: Alatsaho ao am-ponareo ny teny rehetra izay ambarako aminareo anio, izay handidianareo ny zanakareo hotandremany sy hankatoaviny, dia ny teny rehetra amin'ity lalàna ity.

⁴⁶and saith unto them, `Set your heart to all the words which I am testifying against you to-day, that ye command your sons to observe to do all the words of this law,

⁴⁷Fa tsy zava-poana ho anareo izany, fa izany no fiainanareo; ary izany zavatra izany no hahamaro andro anareo eo amin'ny tany izay efa hidiranareo holovana, rehefa tafita an'i Jordana ianareo.

⁴⁷for it [is] not a vain thing for you, for it [is] your life, and by this thing ye prolong days on the ground whither ye are passing over the Jordan to possess it.`

⁴⁸Ary Jehovah niteny tamin'i Mosesy androtrizay indrindra ka nanao hoe:

⁴⁸And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses, in this self-same day, saying,

⁴⁹Miakara amin'ity tendrombohitra Abarima ity, dia ny tendrombohitra Nebo, izay eo amin'ny tany Moaba tandrifin'i Jeriko; ary tazano ny tany Kanana, izay omeko ny Zanak'Isiraely ho lovany.

⁴⁹`Go up unto this mount Abarim, mount Nebo, which [is] in the land of Moab, which [is] on the front of Jericho, and see the land of Canaan which I am giving to the sons of Israel for a possession;

⁵⁰Dia aoka ho faty ao amin'ny tendrombohitra izay iakaranao ianao, ka ho voangona any amin'ny razanao, tahaka ny nahafatesan'i Arona rahalahinao tao an-tendrombohitra Hora sy ny nanangonana azy any amin'ny razany,

⁵⁰and die in the mount whither thou art going up, and be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother hath died in the mount Hor, and is gathered unto his people:

⁵¹satria nivadika tamiko teo amin'ny Zanak'Isiraely ianareo tao amin'ny ranon'i Meriba any Kadesy, tany an-efitra Zina; fa tsy nahamasina Ahy teo amin'ny Zanak'Isiraely ianareo.Fa hahatazana ny tany eo anoloanao ihany ianao, kanefa tsy hiditra any amin'ny tany izay omeko ny Zanak'Isiraely.

⁵¹`Because ye trespassed against me in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribath-Kadesh, the wilderness of Zin — because ye sanctified Me not in the midst of the sons of Israel;

⁵²Fa hahatazana ny tany eo anoloanao ihany ianao, kanefa tsy hiditra any amin'ny tany izay omeko ny Zanak'Isiraely.

⁵²but over-against thou seest the land, and thither thou dost not go in, unto the land which I am giving to the sons of Israel.`
