¹And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `See, I have given thee a god to Pharaoh, and Aaron thy brother is thy prophet;

²Hianao hilaza izay rehetra nandidiako anao, ary Arona rahalahinao kosa hilaza amin'i Farao, mba handefasany ny Zanak'Isiraely hiala amin'ny taniny,

²thou — thou dost speak all that I command thee, and Aaron thy brother doth speak unto Pharaoh, and he hath sent the sons of Israel out of his land.

³Ary Izaho hanamafy ny fon'i Farao sy hanamaro ny famantarana sy ny fahagagana izay hataoko eto amin'ny tany Egypta.

³`And I harden the heart of Pharaoh, and have multiplied My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt,

⁴Fa tsy hihaino anareo Farao, ka dia hamely an'i Egypta ny tanako, ary fitsarana lehibe no hitondrako ny antokon'ny Zanak'Isiraely oloko hiala amin'ny tany Egypta.

⁴and Pharaoh doth not hearken, and I have put My hand on Egypt, and have brought out My hosts, My people, the sons of Israel, from the land of Egypt by great judgments;

⁵Dia ho fantatry ny Egyptiana fa Izaho no Jehovah, rehefa maninjitra ny tanako amin'i Egypta Aho ka mitondra ny Zanak'Isiraely hivoaka avy any.

⁵and the Egyptians have known that I [am] Jehovah, in My stretching out My hand against Egypt; and I have brought out the sons of Israel from their midst.`

⁶Dia nataon'i Mosesy sy Arona izany: araka izay nandidian'i Jehovah azy no natao­ny.

⁶And Moses doth — Aaron also — as Jehovah commanded them; so have they done;

⁷Ary efa valo-polo taona Mosesy, ary efa telo amby valo-polo taona kosa Arona, raha niteny tamin'i Farao izy mirahalahy.

⁷and Moses [is] a son of eighty years, and Aaron [is] a son of eighty and three years, in their speaking unto Pharaoh.

⁸Ary hoy Jehovah tamin'i Mosesy sy Arona:

⁸And Jehovah speaketh unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,

⁹Raha miteny aminareo Farao ka manao hoe: Manaova fahagagana hanambara anareo, dia lazao amin'i Arona hoe: Raiso ny tehinao, ka atsipazo eo anatrehan'i Farao, dia ho tonga menarana iny.

⁹`When Pharaoh speaketh unto you, saying, Give for yourselves a wonder; then thou hast said unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast before Pharaoh — it becometh a monster.`

¹⁰Ary Mosesy sy Arona nankao amin'i Farao ka nanao araka izay efa nandidian'i Jehovah; dia natsipin'i Arona teo anatrehan'i Farao sy teo anatrehan'ny mpanompony ny tehiny, ka tonga menarana iny.

¹⁰And Moses goeth in — Aaron also — unto Pharaoh, and they do so as Jehovah hath commanded; and Aaron casteth his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it becometh a monster.

¹¹Dia nampanalain'i Farao ny olon-kendry sy ny mpanana ody; ary ireo ombiasy teo Egypta ireo dia nanao toy izany tamin'ny fankatovany.

¹¹And Pharaoh also calleth for wise men, and for sorcerers; and the scribes of Egypt, they also, with their flashings, do so,

¹²and they cast down each his rod, and they become monsters, and the rod of Aaron swalloweth their rods;

¹³Dia nihamafy ny fon'i Farao, ka tsy nihaino azy mirahalahy izy, araka izay efa nolazain'i Jehovah.

¹³and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken.

¹⁴And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `The heart of Pharaoh hath been hard, he hath refused to send the people away;

¹⁵Mankanesa ao aminy ianao rahampitso; indro, hivoaka ho any amin'ny rano izy; dia mijanona eo amoron'i Neily ianao ambara-pihaviny (ary ny tehina, ilay novàna ho menarana, ho entinao eny an-tananao),

¹⁵go unto Pharaoh in the morning, lo, he is going out to the water, and thou hast stood to meet him by the edge of the River, and the rod which was turned to a serpent thou dost take in thy hand,

¹⁶dia lazao aminy hoe: Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny Hebreo, no naniraka ahy nankaty aminao hanao hoe: Alefaso ny oloko mba hanompoany Ahy any an-efitra; fa, indro, tsy nihaino ianao mandraka ankehitriny.

¹⁶and thou hast said unto him: Jehovah, God of the Hebrews, hath sent me unto thee, saying, Send My people away, and they serve Me in the wilderness; and lo, thou hast not hearkened hitherto.

¹⁷Koa izao no lazain'i Jehovah: Izao no hahafantaranao fa Izaho no Jehovah: indro, ny tehiko etỳ an-tanako no hikapohako ny rano ao Neily, ka ho tonga rà izy.

¹⁷`Thus said Jehovah: By this thou knowest that I [am] Jehovah; lo, I am smiting with the rod which [is] in my hand, on the waters which [are] in the River, and they have been turned to blood,

¹⁸Dia ho faty ny hazandrano ao Neily, ka ho maimbo Neily, ary tsy ho tian'ny Egyptiana intsony ny hisotro ny rano ao.

¹⁸and the fish that [are] in the River die, and the River hath stank, and the Egyptians have been wearied of drinking waters from the River.`

¹⁹Ary hoy Jehovah tamin'i Mosesy: Lazao amin'i Arona hoe: Raiso ny tehinao, ka ahinjiro ambonin'ny ranon'i Egypta ny tananao, dia ambonin'ny sampan-dranony sy ambonin'ny lahin-dranony, sy ambonin'ny heniheniny, ary ambonin'ny kamoriny rehetra, mba ho tonga rà ireny; ary hisy rà eran'ny tany Egypta rehetra, na amin'ny fitoeran-drano hazo na amin'ny fitoeran-drano vato.

¹⁹And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thy hand against the waters of Egypt, against their streams, against their rivers, and against their ponds, and against all their collections of waters; and they are blood — and there hath been blood in all the land of Egypt, both in [vessels of] wood, and in [those of] stone.`

²⁰And Moses and Aaron do so, as Jehovah hath commanded, and he lifteth up [his hand] with the rod, and smiteth the waters which [are] in the River, before the eyes of Pharaoh, and before the eyes of his servants, and all the waters which [are] in the River are turned to blood,

²¹koa maty ny hazandrano izay tao Neily, dia maimbo Neily, ka tsy azon'ny Egyptiana nosotroina ny rano avy ao; ary ny rà dia nanerana ny tany Egypta rehetra.

²¹and the fish which [is] in the River hath died, and the River stinketh, and the Egyptians have not been able to drink water from the River; and the blood is in all the land of Egypt.

²²Ary ny ombiasy teo Egypta, dia mba nanao toy izany koa tamin'ny fankatovany; ka dia nihamafy ny fon'i Farao, ka tsy nihaino azy mirahalahy izy, araka izay efa nolazain'i Jehovah.

²²And the scribes of Egypt do so with their flashings, and the heart of Pharaoh is strong, and he hath not hearkened unto them, as Jehovah hath spoken,

²³Dia niverina Farao ka nankao an-tranony, kanefa tsy mba nahoany akory, na dia izany aza.

²³and Pharaoh turneth and goeth in unto his house, and hath not set his heart even to this;

²⁴Dia nihady rano hosotroiny teo amoron'i Neily ny Egyptiana rehetra; fa tsy azony nisotroana ny rano tao Neily.

²⁴and all the Egyptians seek water round about the river to drink, for they have not been able to drink of the waters of the River.

²⁵Ary nisy hafitoana taorian'ny namelezan'i Jehovah an'i Neily.

²⁵And seven days are completed after Jehovah`s smiting the River,

²⁶[Faharoa: ny sahona] Dia hoy Jehovah tamin'i Mosesy: Mankanesa ao amin'i Farao, ka lazao aminy hoe: Izao no lazain'i Jehovah: Alefaso ny oloko hanompo Ahy.

²⁷Fa raha mandà ka tsy mandefa azy ianao, indro, Izaho hamely ny taninao rehetra amin'ny sahona;

²⁸dia hisy sahona betsaka any Neily, ary hiakatra ireny ka hankao amin'ny tranonao sy ny trano fandrianao sy eny ambonin'ny farafaranao sy any amin'ny tranon'ny mpanomponao sy amin'ny vahoakanao ary eny amin'ny fanendasa-mofonao sy eny amin'ny vilia fanaova-mofonao.Dia ho aminao sy ny vahoakanao ary ny mpanomponao rehetra no hiakaran'ny sahona.
