¹[Ny amin'ireo mpaminany sandoka] Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin'i Jehovah nanao hoe:

¹And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,

²Ry zanak'olona, maminania ny hamelezana ny mpaminanin'ny Isiraely izay maminany, ka lazao amin'izay maminany araka ny fony hoe: Mihainoa ny tenin'i Jehovah ianareo.

²`Son of man, prophesy concerning the prophets of Israel who are prophesying, and thou hast said to those prophesying from their own heart: Hear ye a word of Jehovah:

³Izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Lozan'ny mpaminany adala, izay manaraka ny fanahiny sy ny zavatra tsy hitany.

³Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo unto the prophets who are foolish, Who are going after their own spirit, And they have seen nothing.

⁴Tahaka ny amboahaolo any an-tanàna haolo ny mpaminaninao, ry Isiraely.

⁴As foxes in the wastes, Thy prophets, O Israel, have been.

⁵Tsy niakatra ho eo amin'ny banga ianareo, sady tsy nanao manda hiarovana ny taranak'Isiraely mba hifaharany amin'ny ady amin'ny andron'i Jehovah.

⁵Ye have not gone up into breaches, Nor do ye make a fence for the house of Israel, To stand in battle in a day of Jehovah.

⁶Mahita zava-poana sy faminaniana lainga ireo izay manao hoe: Hoy Jehovah, nefa tsy nirahin'i Jehovah izy tsinona, hahazoany manantena ny hahatòvan'ny teny

⁶They have seen vanity, and lying divination, Who are saying: An affirmation of Jehovah, And Jehovah hath not sent them, And they have hoped to establish a word.

⁷Moa tsy fahitana tsy izy no hitanareo, ary faminaniana lainga no lazainareo, raha hoy ianareo: Jehovah no nilaza izany; kanefa tsy nilaza izany Aho tsinona ?

⁷A vain vision have ye not seen, And a lying divination spoken, When ye say: An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have not spoken?

⁸Koa izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Noho ny nilazanareo anoano foana sy ny nahitanareo lainga, dia, indro, hamely anareo Aho, hoy Jehovah Tompo.

⁸Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because ye have spoken vanity, and seen a lie, Therefore, lo, I [am] against you, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

⁹Ary ny tanako no hamely ny mpaminany izay mahita anoano foana sy maminany lainga; tsy ho isan'ny mpanolo-tsainan'ny oloko na ho voasoratra amin'ny bokin'ny taranak'Isiraely izy sady tsy hiditra ao amin'ny tanin'ny Isiraely; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah Tompo.

⁹And My hand hath been on the prophets, Who are seeing vanity, and who are divining a lie, In the assembly of My people they are not, And in the writing of the house of Israel they are not written, And unto the ground of Israel they come not, And ye have known that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁰Noho ny nampiviliany ny oloko tamin'ny nanaovany hoe: Fiadanana, kanjo tsy nisy fiadanana tsinona; ary raha manao ampiantany ny oloko, dia, indreo, izy no mandalotra azy amin'ny feta tsy madity,

¹⁰Because, even because, they did cause My people to err, Saying, Peace! and there is no peace, And that one is building a wall, And lo, they are daubing it with chalk.

¹¹koa lazao amin'izay mandalotra azy amin'ny feta tsy madity fa hirodana izy; hisy ranonorana mifafy; eny, milatsaha ianareo, ry havandra vaventy; ary mifofofofoa ianareo, ry tafiodrivotra.

¹¹Say to those daubing with chalk — It falleth, There hath been an overflowing shower, And ye, O hailstones, do fall, And a tempestuous wind doth rend,

¹²Indro, raha mirodana ny ampiantany, tsy holazaina aminareo hoe va: Aiza ny lalotra izay nandaloranareo azy?

¹²And lo, fallen hath the wall! Doth not one say unto you, Where [is] the daubing that ye daubed?

¹³Koa izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Hampifofofofo ny tafio-drivotra amin'ny fahatezerako Aho; ary hisy ranonorana mifafy amin'ny fahatezerako sy havandra vaventy amin'ny fahavinirako hahafongana azy.

¹³Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have rent with a tempestuous wind in My fury, And an overflowing shower is in Mine anger, And hailstones in My fury — to consume.

¹⁴Dia harodako ny ampiantany izay nolalorinareo tamin'ny feta tsy madity, ka ho fongotra hatramin'ny tany izy, ary hiseho ny fanambaniny; eny, hirodana izy, ka haringana ao anatiny ianareo; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.

¹⁴And I have broken down the wall that ye daubed with chalk, And have caused it to come unto the earth, And revealed hath been its foundation, And it hath fallen, And ye have been consumed in its midst, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.

¹⁵Dia hotanterahiko amin'ny ampiantany sy izay mandalotra azy amin'ny feta tsy madity ny fahatezerako, ary holazaiko aminareo hoe: Tsy misy intsony ny manda sy izay mpandalotra azy,

¹⁵And I have completed My wrath on the wall, And on those daubing it with chalk, And I say to you: The wall is not, And those daubing it are not;

¹⁶dia ny mpaminanin'ny Isiraely izay maminany ny amin'i Jerosalema sy izay mahita fahitana fiadanana ho azy, kanjo tsy misy fiadanarla tsinona, hoy Jehovah Tompo.

¹⁶The prophets of Israel who are prophesying concerning Jerusalem, And who are seeing for her a vision of peace, And there is no peace, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁷Koa ianao, ry zanak'olona, handrino mafy ny zanakavavin'ny firenenao, izay manao faminaniana araka ny fony, ary maminania ny hamelezana azy,

¹⁷And thou, son of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, who are prophesying out of their own heart, and prophesy concerning them,

¹⁸ka ataovy hoe: Izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Lozan'ny vehivavy rehetra izay manjaitra fono ho ao amin'ny famavanin'ny tanana rehetra, ary manao fisaronana antonona amin'ny loha samy hafa rehetra mba hihaza fanahy! Ny fanahin'ny oloko dia hazainareo, nefa ny fanahinareo kosa velominareo![Na: tanako]

¹⁸And thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Wo to those sowing pillows for all joints of the arm, And to those making the kerchiefs For the head of every stature — to hunt souls, The souls do ye hunt of My people? And the souls ye have do ye keep alive?

¹⁹Ary manamavo Ahy ao amin'ny oloko ianareo noho ny vary hordea eran-tànan-ila sy ny sombi-mofo, mba hahafaty ny fanahy izay tsy tokony ho faty ary hahavelona ny fanahy izay tsy tokony hovelomina, amin'ny andainganareo amin'ny oloko izay mihaino ny lainganareo.

¹⁹Yea, ye pierce Me concerning My people, For handfuls of barley, And for pieces of bread, to put to death Souls that should not die, And to keep alive souls that should not live, By your lying to My people — hearkening to lies.

²⁰Koa izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Indro, hosimbako ny fononareo, izay entinareo hihaza ny fanahy any, mba hahafahan'ireny hanidina, eny, hotriariko hiala amin'ny sandrinareo izy, ka halefako hanidina ny fanahy izay nohazainareo.

²⁰Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against your pillows, With which ye are hunting there the souls of the flourishing, And I have rent them from off your arms, And have sent away the souls that ye are hunting, The souls of the flourishing.

²¹Hotriariko koa ny fisaronanareo, ka hovonjeko ho afaka amin'ny tananareo ny oloko, dia tsy ho azon'ny tananareo ho haza intsony izy; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.

²¹And I have torn your kerchiefs, And delivered My people out of your hand, And they are no more in your hand for a prey, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.

²²Satria lainga no entinareo mampalahelo ny fon'ny marina, izay tsy nampalaheloviko, sady entinareo manatanjaka ny tanan'ny ratsy fanahy, tsy hialany amin'ny lalan-dratsiny mba hamelomana azy,dia tsy hahita anoano foana na hanao faminaniana intsony ianareo; fa hovonjeko ho afaka amin'ny tananareo ny oloko; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.

²²Because of paining the heart of the righteous with falsehood, And I have not pained it, And strengthening the hands of the wicked, So as not to turn back from his evil way, To keep him alive,

²³dia tsy hahita anoano foana na hanao faminaniana intsony ianareo; fa hovonjeko ho afaka amin'ny tananareo ny oloko; ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.

²³Therefore, vanity ye do not see, And divination ye do not divine again, And I have delivered My people out of your hand, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah!`
