¹[Ny amin'ny handringanana ny Isiraely] Ary tonga tamiko ny tenin'i Jehovah nanao hoe:

¹And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying, `And thou, son of man, Thus said the Lord Jehovah to the ground of Israel:

²Ary ianao, ry zanak'olona, dia izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo amin'ny tanin'ny Isiraely: Injao ny farany! Eny, mby akaiky ny farany ho amin'ny vazan-tany efatra.

²An end, come hath the end on the four corners of the land.

³Ankehitriny dia mby akaikinao ny farany, ary halefako aminao ny fahatezerako, dia hotsaraiko araka ny alehanao ianao, ka hatambesatro aminao ny fahavetavetanao rehetra.

³Now [is] the end unto thee, And I have sent Mine anger upon thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.

⁴Ary tsy hiantra anao ny masoko, sady tsy hamindra fo Aho; Fa hatambesatro aminao ny lalanao, ary ny fahavetavetanao dia ho eo aminao, ary dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho no Jehovah.

⁴And no pity on thee hath Mine eye, nor do I spare, For thy ways against thee I do set, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.

⁵Izao no lazain'i Jehovah Tompo: Injao! avy ny loza, dia loza izay tsy misy toa azy![Heb. loza iray]

⁵Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Evil, a single evil, lo, it hath come.

⁶Injao ny farany! Eny, mby akaiky ny farany; Mifoha hamely anao iny, indro, efa mby akaiky iny.

⁶An end hath come, come hath the end, It hath waked for thee, lo, it hath come.

⁷Mby akaiky ny anjaranao, ry mponina amin'ny tany; Mby akaiky ny fotoana, efa antomotra ny andro, dia akoran'ady, fa tsy fihobiana, eny an-tendrombohitra .

⁷Come hath the morning unto thee, O inhabitant of the land! Come hath the time, near [is] a day of trouble, And not the shouting of mountains.

⁸Ary vetivety foana dia hampidiniko aminao ny fahatezerako, Ary hotanterahiko aminao ny fahavinirako; ka hotsaraiko araka ny alehanao ianao, ary hatambesatro aminao ny fahavetavetanao.

⁸Now, shortly I pour out My fury on thee, And have completed Mine anger against thee, And judged thee according to thy ways, And set against thee all thine abominations.

⁹Ary tsy hiantra anao ny masoko, sady tsy hamindra fo Aho; Hatambesatro aminao ny lalanao, ary ny fahavetavetanao dia ho eo aminao, ka dia ho fantatrareo fa Izaho Jehovah no mamely.

⁹And not pity doth Mine eye, nor do I spare, According to thy ways unto thee I give, And thine abominations are in thy midst, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah the smiter.

¹⁰Indro ny andro, indro mby akaiky iny! Miseho ny anjaranao. Mamonjy ny tsorakazo, manorobona ny avonavona!

¹⁰Lo, the day, lo, it hath come, Gone forth hath the morning, Blossomed hath the rod, flourished the pride.

¹¹Ny fanaovana an-keriny dia mitsangana ho tsorakazo hamelezana ny faharatsiana; tsy hisy sisa intsony aminy, na ny hamaroany, na ny hareny, na ny zava-mendrika eo aminy.[Na: ny hamaroany mitabataba sy mireondreona]

¹¹The violence hath risen to a rod of wickedness, There is none of them, nor of their multitude, Nor of their noise, nor is there wailing for them.

¹²Mby akaiky ny fotoana, antomotra ny andro; aoka tsy hifaly ny mpividy, ary aoka halahelo ny mpivarotra; Fa iharan'ny fahatezerana mirehitra ny hamaroany rehetra.

¹²Come hath the time, arrived hath the day, The buyer doth not rejoice, And the seller doth not become a mourner, For wrath [is] unto all its multitude.

¹³Fa ny mpivarotra tsy hifodian'izay efa lafony, na dia mbola isan'ny velona aza izy; Fa ny fahitana ny amin'ny hanjo ny hamaroanay dia tsy hitsoaka, ary tsy hisy ampahery ny ainy amin'ny helony.

¹³For the seller to the sold thing turneth not, And yet among the living [is] their life, For the vision [is] unto all its multitude, It doth not turn back, And none by his iniquity doth strengthen his life.

¹⁴Efa nitsoka ny trompetra izy ka nahavonona ny zavatra rehetra, nefa tsy misy mankany amin'ny ady, satria iharan'ny fahatezerako mirehitra ny hamaroany rehetra.

¹⁴They have blown with a trumpet to prepare the whole, And none is going to battle, For My wrath [is] unto all its multitude.

¹⁵Ny sabatra no eny ivelany, ary ny areti-mandringana sy ny mosary kosa no ao anatiny; Izay any an-tsaha dia ho fatin-tsabatra, ary izay any an-tanàna kosa dia ho levon'ny mosary sy ny areti-mandringana.

¹⁵The sword [is] without, And the pestilence and the famine within, He who is in a field by sword dieth, And he who is in a city, Famine and pestilence devour him.

¹⁶Ary na dia misy afa-mandositra aza, dia ho any an-tendrombohitra izy ka ho toy ny voromailala an-dohasaha: Izy rehetra dia samy hitoloko avokoa noho ny helony.

¹⁶And escaped away have their fugitives, And they have been on the mountains As doves of the valleys, All of them make a noising — each for his iniquity.

¹⁷Hiraviravy ny tanana rehetra, ary ho rano ny lohalika rehetra;

¹⁷All the hands are feeble, and all knees go — waters.

¹⁸Hisikina lamba fisaonana koa izy, ka ho menatra ny tava rehetra.[Heb. lamba malailay]

¹⁸And they have girded on sackcloth, And covered them hath trembling, And unto all faces [is] shame, And on all their heads — baldness.

¹⁹Ny volafotsiny dia harianay eny an-dalambe, ary ny volamenany hataony ho maharikoriko, ny volafotsiny sy ny volamenany tsy hahavonjy azy amin'ny andro fahatezeran'ny Jehovah Tsy hahavoky ny fanahiny na hahafeno ny kibony izany, fa tonga fahatafintohinana mahameloka azy.

¹⁹Their silver into out-places they cast, And their gold impurity becometh. Their silver and their gold is not able to deliver them, In a day of the wrath of Jehovah, Their soul they do not satisfy, And their bowels they do not fill, For the stumbling-block of their iniquity it hath been.

²⁰Fa ny firàvany tsara tarehy dia nataony ho rehareha sady nentiny nanao ireo sary fahavetavetany, dia ireo zava-dratsiny, koa izany no efa nanaovako ireny ho zava-maharikoriko azy.

²⁰As to the beauty of his ornament, For excellency He set it, And the images of their abominations, Their detestable things — they made in it, Therefore I have given it to them for impurity,

²¹Ary hatolotro ho babo eny an-tànan'ny hafa firenena izy, Eny, ho babo ho an'ny ratsy fanahy amin'ny tany, ka holotoin'ireny izy.

²¹And I have given it into the hand of the strangers for a prey, And to the wicked of the land for a spoil, And they have polluted it.

²²Dia hiamboho azy koa Aho, ka holotoiny ny rakitro; Fa hiditra ao aminy ny mpandroba ka handoto azy.

²²And I have turned My face from them, And they have polluted My hidden place, Yea, come into it have destroyers, and polluted it.

²³Manefa gadra, fa efa feno fitsarana ny amin'ny fandatsahan-drà ny tany, ary feno fampahoriana ny tanàna.

²³Make the chain; for the land Hath been full of bloody judgments, And the city hath been full of violence.

²⁴Ka dia hitondra izay jentilisa ratsy indrindra Aho, ary ho lasan'ireny ny tranony; dia hatsahatro ny avonavon'ny mahery, ary ho lotoina ny fitoerany masina.

²⁴And I have brought in the wicked of the nations, And they have possessed their houses, And I have caused to cease the excellency of the strong, And polluted have been those sanctifying them.

²⁵Ho avy ny fandringanana; ary hitady fiadanana izy, fa tsy hisy.[Na: fampangovitana]

²⁵Destruction hath come, And they have sought peace, and there is none.

²⁶Mifanontona ny fandravana, ary mifanindry ny filazan-doza; Dia manontany fahitana amin'ny mpaminany izy, fa tsy misy lalàna intsony amin'ny mpisorona, na fahendrena amin'ny anti-panahy.Hitomany ny mpanjaka, eny, hitafy fahatalanjonana ny andriana, ary hangovitra ny tanan'ny vahoaka; Araka ny alehany no hataoko aminy, ary hotsaroiko araka ny fitsarana nataony izy, ka dia fantany fa Izaho no Jehovah.

²⁶Mischief on mischief cometh, and report is on report, And they have sought a vision from a prophet, And law doth perish from the priest, And counsel from the elders,

²⁷Hitomany ny mpanjaka, eny, hitafy fahatalanjonana ny andriana, ary hangovitra ny tanan'ny vahoaka; Araka ny alehany no hataoko aminy, ary hotsaroiko araka ny fitsarana nataony izy, ka dia fantany fa Izaho no Jehovah.

²⁷The king doth become a mourner, And a prince putteth on desolation, And the hands of the people of the land are troubled, From their own way I deal with them, And with their own judgments I judge them, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!`
