¹To the Overseer. — `On the Dumb Dove far off.` — A secret treasure of David, in the Philistines` taking hold of him in Gath. Favour me, O God, for man swallowed me up, All the day fighting he oppresseth me,

²Misafoaka manenjika mandrakariva ny mpampahory ahy; maro tokoa no mirehareha miady amiko.

²Mine enemies have swallowed up all the day, For many [are] fighting against me, O most High,

³Amin'ny andro atahorako no itokiako Anao.

³The day I am afraid I am confident toward Thee.

⁴Andriamanitra no iderako ny teniny; Andriamanitra no itokiako, ka tsy mba hatahotra aho; inona no hataon'ny nofo amiko?

⁴In God I praise His word, in God I have trusted, I fear not what flesh doth to me.

⁵Manimba ny raharahako mandra-kariva ireny; ny heviny rehetra dia ny hanisy ratsy ahy ihany.[Na: Mamily ny teniko mandrakariva ireny]

⁵All the day they wrest my words, Concerning me all their thoughts [are] for evil,

⁶Miangona izy, miery izy, mitsongo-dia ahy izy, satria mikendry ny aiko.

⁶They assemble, they hide, they watch my heels, When they have expected my soul.

⁷Amin'izany faharatsiany izany moa hisy hahafahany va? Aripaho amin'ny fahatezeranao ny firenena. Andriamanitra ô.[Na: Ny faharatsiana no atao-ny ho famonjena azy]

⁷By iniquity they escape, In anger the peoples put down, O God.

⁸Manisa ny firenireneko Hianao; ataovy ao an-tavoahanginao ny ranomasoko; tsy eo amin'ny bokinao va ireny?

⁸My wandering Thou hast counted, Thou — place Thou my tear in Thy bottle, Are they not in Thy book?

⁹Amin'izay dia hiamboho ny fahavaloko amin'ny andro hiantsoako Anao; izao dia fantatro, fa momba ahy Andriamanitra.

⁹Then turn back do mine enemies in the day I call. This I have known, that God [is] for me.

¹⁰Andriamanitra no iderako ny teniny; Jehovah no iderako ny teniny.

¹⁰In God I praise the word, In Jehovah I praise the word.

¹¹Andriamanitra no itokiako; ka tsy mba hatahotra aho; inona no hataon'ny olona amiko?

¹¹In God I trusted, I fear not what man doth to me,

¹²Nivoady taminao aho, Andriamanitra ô, dia hanatitra fanati-pisaorana ho Anao.Fa efa nanafaka ny fanahiko tamin'ny fahafatesana Hianao; eny, nanafaka ny tongotro Hianao mba tsy ho solafaka. Handehanako eo anatrehan'Andriamanitra amin'ny fahazavan'ny velona.[Na: fahazavan'aina]
