1[Fivavahana ho an'ny Isiraely, voalobok'i Jehovah] Ho an'ny mpiventy hira. Al-shoshanim-edoth. Salamo nataon'i Asafa. Ry Mpiandry ny Isiraely ô, mihainoa, Hianao Izay mitondra an'i Josefa toy ny ondry; Hianao, Izay mipetraka amin'ny kerobima, mamirapiratra.
1To the Overseer. — `On the Lilies.` A testimony of Asaph. — A Psalm. Shepherd of Israel, give ear, Leading Joseph as a flock, Inhabiting the cherubs — shine forth,
2Fohazy ny herinao eo anoloan'i Efraima sy Benjamina ary Manase, ka avia hamonjy anay.
2Before Ephraim, and Benjamin, and Manasseh, Wake up Thy might, and come for our salvation.
3Andriamanitra ô, ampodio izahay, ka ampamirapirato ny Tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena izahay.
3O God, cause us to turn back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.
4Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, mandra-pahoviana no hanetroka amin'ny fivavaky ny olonao ny fahatezeranao?[Na: na dia mivavaka aza ny olonao]
4Jehovah, God of Hosts, till when? Thou hast burned against the prayer of Thy people.
5Mampihinana azy mofo len-dranomaso Hianao, ary mampisotro azy ranomaso tovozina.
5Thou hast caused them to eat bread of tears, And causest them to drink With tears a third time.
6Ataonao ho fifandirana amin'ny mifanila fonenana aminay izahay; ary ny fahavalonay mifaly handatsa.
6Thou makest us a strife to our neighbors, And our enemies mock at it.
7Andriamanitry ny maro ô, ampodio izahay, ka ampamirapirato ny tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena izahay.
7God of Hosts, turn us back, And cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved.
8Nisy voaloboka nafindranao avy tany Egypta; nandroaka ny jentilisa Hianao ka namboly azy kosa.
8A vine out of Egypt Thou dost bring, Thou dost cast out nations, and plantest it.
9Nitevy teo alohany Hianao, dia namaka lalina izy ka nameno ny tany.
9Thou hast looked before it, and dost root it, And it filleth the land,
10Nanaloka ny tendrombohitra ny alokalony, ary ny sampany nanaloka ny sedera andrian-kazo.[Heb: sederan'Andriamanitra]
10Covered have been hills [with] its shadow, And its boughs [are] cedars of God.
11Nampisandrahaka ny rantsany hatramin'ny ranomasina izy, ary ny sakeliny hatramin'ny Ony.[Eofrata]
11It sendeth forth its branches unto the sea, And unto the river its sucklings.
12Nahoana no noravànao ny fefiny ka anotazan'izay rehetra mandalo eny an-dalana izy?
12Why hast Thou broken down its hedges, And all passing by the way have plucked it?
13Ny lambo avy any an'ala mitrongy azy; ary izay bibi-dia any an-tsaha mandàny azy.
13A boar out of the forest doth waste it, And a wild beast of the fields consumeth it.
14Ry Andriamanitry ny maro ô, miverena, ka tsilovy any an-danitra, ary jereo, ka vangio ity voaloboka ity.
14God of Hosts, turn back, we beseech Thee, Look from heaven, and see, and inspect this vine,
15Arovy izay nambolen'ny tananao ankavanana sy ny zanaka izay nampaherezinao ho Anao.[Na: Dia]
15And the root that Thy right hand planted, And the branch Thou madest strong for Thee,
16Voadotry ny afo izy sady voakapa; fongotry ny fananaran'ny tavanao izy.
16Burnt with fire — cut down, From the rebuke of Thy face they perish.
17Aoka ny tananao ho amin'ny lehilahin'ny tananao ankavanana, dia amin'ny zanak'olombelona izay nampaherezinao ho Anao.
17Let Thy hand be on the man of Thy right hand, On the son of man Thou hast strengthened for Thyself.
18Dia tsy hihemotra hiala aminao izahay; velomy izahay, dia hiantso ny anaranao.Ry Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, ampodio izahay; ampamirapirato ny tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena Izahay.
18And we do not go back from Thee, Thou dost revive us, and in Thy name we call.
19Ry Jehovah, Andriamanitry ny maro ô, ampodio izahay; ampamirapirato ny tavanao, ary aoka hovonjena Izahay.
19O Jehovah, God of Hosts, turn us back, Cause Thy face to shine, and we are saved!
