1ആയാണ്ടില്, യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ സിദെക്കീയാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ ആരംഭത്തിങ്കല്, നാലാം ആണ്ടില് അഞ്ചാം മാസത്തില്, ഗിബെയോന്യനായ അസ്സൂരിന്റെ മകന് ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകന് യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് പുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെയും സര്വ്വജനത്തിന്റെയും മുമ്പില്വെച്ചു എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
1In the beginning of the reign of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, came this word to Jeremiah from Yahweh, saying,
2യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രാകരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളയുന്നു.
2Thus says Yahweh to me: Make bonds and bars, and put them on your neck;
3ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസര് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു എടുത്തു ബാബേലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയിരിക്കുന്ന യഹോവയുടെ ആലയംവക ഉപകരണങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും;
3and send them to the king of Edom, and to the king of Moab, and to the king of the children of Ammon, and to the king of Tyre, and to the king of Sidon, by the hand of the messengers who come to Jerusalem to Zedekiah king of Judah;
4യെഹോയാക്കീമിന്റെ മകനായി യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ നെഖൊന്യാവെയും ബാബേലിലേക്കു പോയ സകലയെഹൂദാബദ്ധന്മാരെയും ഞാന് ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തും; ഞാന് ബാബേല്രാജാവിന്റെ നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടു.
4and give them a command to their masters, saying, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, You shall tell your masters:
5അപ്പോള് യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് പുരോഹിതന്മാരും യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില് നിലക്കുന്ന സകല ജനവും കേള്ക്കെ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകനോടു പറഞ്ഞതു
5I have made the earth, the men and the animals that are on the surface of the earth, by my great power and by my outstretched arm; and I give it to whom it seems right to me.
6ആമേന് , യഹോവ അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്യുമാറാകട്ടെ; യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം വക ഉപകരണങ്ങളെയും സകലബദ്ധന്മാരെയും അവന് ബാബേലില്നിന്നു ഈ സ്ഥലത്തേക്കു മടക്കിവരുത്തുമെന്നു നീ പ്രവചിച്ചവാക്കുകളെ യഹോവ നിവര്ത്തിക്കുമാറാകട്ടെ!
6Now have I given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant; and the animals of the field also have I given him to serve him.
7എങ്കിലും ഞാന് നിന്നോടും സകലജനത്തോടും പറയുന്ന ഈ വചനം കേട്ടുകൊള്ക.
7All the nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son’s son, until the time of his own land come: and then many nations and great kings shall make him their bondservant.
8എനിക്കും നിനക്കും മുമ്പു പണ്ടേയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന പ്രവാചകന്മാര് അനേകം ദേശങ്ങള്ക്കും വലിയ രാജ്യങ്ങള്ക്കും വിരോധമായി യുദ്ധവും അനര്ത്ഥവും മഹാമാരിയും പ്രവചിച്ചു.
8It shall happen, that the nation and the kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, says Yahweh, with the sword, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand.
9സമാധാനം പ്രവചിക്കുന്ന പ്രവാചകനോ അവന്റെ വചനം നിവൃത്തിയാകുമ്പോള്, അവന് സത്യമായിട്ടു യഹോവ അയച്ച പ്രവാചകന് എന്നു തെളിയും എന്നു യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് പറഞ്ഞു;
9But as for you, don’t you listen to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreams, nor to your soothsayers, nor to your sorcerers, who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon:
10അപ്പോള് ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകന് യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ കഴുത്തില്നിന്നു ആ നുകം എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു,
10for they prophesy a lie to you, to remove you far from your land, and that I should drive you out, and you should perish.
11സകലജനവും കേള്ക്കെ; ഇങ്ങനെ ഞാന് രണ്ടു സംവത്സരത്തിന്നകം ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിന്റെ നുകം സകലജാതികളുടെയും കഴുത്തില്നിന്നു എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളയും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകനോ തന്റെ വഴിക്കു പോയി.
11But the nation that shall bring their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him, that nation will I let remain in their own land, says Yahweh; and they shall till it, and dwell therein.
12ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകന് യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന്റെ കഴുത്തില്നിന്നു നുകം എടുത്തു ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞശേഷം യിരെമ്യാവിന്നു യഹോവയുടെ അരുളപ്പാടുണ്ടായതെന്തെന്നാല്
12I spoke to Zedekiah king of Judah according to all these words, saying, Bring your necks under the yoke of the king of Babylon, and serve him and his people, and live.
13നീ ചെന്നു ഹനന്യാവോടു പറയേണ്ടതുയഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു നീ മരംകൊണ്ടുള്ള നുകം ഒടിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു; അതിന്നു പകരം നീ ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളൊരു നുകം ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
13Why will you die, you and your people, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as Yahweh has spoken concerning the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon?
14എങ്ങനെയെന്നാല് യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ ദൈവമായ സൈന്യങ്ങളുടെ യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു; ബാബേല്രാജാവായ നെബൂഖദ്നേസരിനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇരിമ്പുകൊണ്ടുള്ളോരു നുകം ഞാന് ഈ സകലജാതികളുടെയും കഴുത്തില് വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവര് അവനെ സേവിക്കേണ്ടിവരും; വയലിലെ മൃഗങ്ങളെയും ഞാന് അവന്നു കൊടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.
14Don’t listen to the words of the prophets who speak to you, saying, You shall not serve the king of Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.
15പിന്നെ യിരെമ്യാപ്രവാചകന് ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകനോടുഹനന്യാവേ, കേള്ക്ക! യഹോവ നിന്നെ അയച്ചിട്ടില്ല; നീ ഈ ജനത്തെ ഭോഷ്കില് ആശ്രയിക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.
15For I have not sent them, says Yahweh, but they prophesy falsely in my name; that I may drive you out, and that you may perish, you, and the prophets who prophesy to you.
16അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ ഇപ്രകാരം അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നുഞാന് നിന്നെ ഭൂതലത്തില്നിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളയും; ഈ ആണ്ടില് നീ മരിക്കും; നീ യഹോവേക്കു വിരോധമായി മത്സരം സംസാരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
16Also I spoke to the priests and to all this people, saying, Thus says Yahweh: Don’t listen to the words of your prophets who prophesy to you, saying, Behold, the vessels of Yahweh’s house shall now shortly be brought again from Babylon; for they prophesy a lie to you.
17അങ്ങനെ ഹനന്യാപ്രവാചകന് ആയാണ്ടില് തന്നേ ഏഴാംമാസത്തില് മരിച്ചു.
17Don’t listen to them; serve the king of Babylon, and live: why should this city become a desolation?
18But if they be prophets, and if the word of Yahweh be with them, let them now make intercession to Yahweh of Armies, that the vessels which are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem, don’t go to Babylon.
19For thus says Yahweh of Armies concerning the pillars, and concerning the sea, and concerning the bases, and concerning the residue of the vessels that are left in this city,
20which Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon didn’t take, when he carried away captive Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim, king of Judah, from Jerusalem to Babylon, and all the nobles of Judah and Jerusalem;
21yes, thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning the vessels that are left in the house of Yahweh, and in the house of the king of Judah, and at Jerusalem:
22They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I visit them, says Yahweh; then will I bring them up, and restore them to this place.
