1എന്റെ കണ്ണു ഇതൊക്കെയും കണ്ടു; എന്റെ ചെവി അതു കേട്ടു ഗ്രഹിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
1“Behold, my eye has seen all this. My ear has heard and understood it.
2നിങ്ങള് അറിയുന്നതു ഞാനും അറിയുന്നു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെക്കാള് അധമനല്ല.
2What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
3സര്വ്വശക്തനോടു ഞാന് സംസാരിപ്പാന് ഭാവിക്കുന്നു; ദൈവത്തോടു വാദിപ്പാന് ഞാന് ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
3“Surely I would speak to the Almighty. I desire to reason with God.
4നിങ്ങളോ ഭോഷകു കെട്ടിയുണ്ടാക്കുന്നവര്; നിങ്ങളെല്ലാവരും പൊട്ടുവൈദ്യന്മാര് തന്നേ.
4But you are forgers of lies. You are all physicians of no value.
5നിങ്ങള് അശേഷം മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നാല് കൊള്ളാം; അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ജ്ഞാനമായിരിക്കും.
5Oh that you would be completely silent! Then you would be wise.
6എന്റെ ന്യായവാദം കേട്ടുകൊള്വിന് ; എന്റെ അധരങ്ങളുടെ വ്യവഹാരം ശ്രദ്ധിപ്പിന് .
6Hear now my reasoning. Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
7നിങ്ങള് ദൈവത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി നീതികേടു സംസാരിക്കുന്നുവോ? അവന്നു വേണ്ടി വ്യാജം പറയുന്നുവോ?
7Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for him?
8അവന്റെ പക്ഷം പിടിക്കുന്നുവോ? ദൈവത്തിന്നു വേണ്ടി വാദിക്കുന്നുവോ?
8Will you show partiality to him? Will you contend for God?
9അവന് നിങ്ങളെ പരിശോധിച്ചാല് നന്നായി കാണുമോ? മര്ത്യനെ തോല്പിക്കുമ്പോലെ നിങ്ങള് അവനെ തോല്പിക്കുമോ?
9Is it good that he should search you out? Or as one deceives a man, will you deceive him?
10ഗൂഢമായി മുഖദാക്ഷിണ്യം കാണിച്ചാല് അവന് നിങ്ങളെ ശാസിക്കും നിശ്ചയം.
10He will surely reprove you if you secretly show partiality.
11അവന്റെ മഹിമ നിങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ലയോ? അവന്റെ ഭീതി നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് വീഴുകയില്ലയോ?
11Shall not his majesty make you afraid, And his dread fall on you?
12നിങ്ങളുടെ ജ്ഞാപകവാക്യങ്ങള് ഭസ്മവാക്യങ്ങളത്രേ; നിങ്ങളുടെ കോട്ടകള് മണ്കോട്ടകള് തന്നേ.
12Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes, Your defenses are defenses of clay.
13നിങ്ങള് മണ്ടാതിരിപ്പിന് ; ഞാന് പറഞ്ഞുകൊള്ളട്ടെ; പിന്നെ എനിക്കു വരുന്നതു വരട്ടെ.
13“Be silent, leave me alone, that I may speak. Let come on me what will.
14ഞാന് എന്റെ മാംസത്തെ പല്ലുകൊണ്ടു കടിച്ചുപിടിക്കുന്നതും എന്റെ ജീവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചുകളയുന്നതും എന്തിന്നു.
14Why should I take my flesh in my teeth, and put my life in my hand?
15അവന് എന്നെ കൊന്നാലും ഞാന് അവനെത്തന്നേ കാത്തിരിക്കും; ഞാന് എന്റെ നടപ്പു അവന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ തെളിയിക്കും.
15Behold, he will kill me. I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my ways before him.
16വഷളന് അവന്റെ സന്നിധിയില് വരികയില്ല എന്നുള്ളതു തന്നേ എനിക്കൊരു രക്ഷയാകും.
16This also shall be my salvation, that a godless man shall not come before him.
17എന്റെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ കേള്പ്പിന് ; ഞാന് പ്രസ്താവിക്കുന്നതു നിങ്ങളുടെ ചെവിയില് കടക്കട്ടെ;
17Hear diligently my speech. Let my declaration be in your ears.
18ഇതാ, ഞാന് എന്റെ ന്യായങ്ങളെ ഒരുക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ഞാന് നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന് അറിയുന്നു.
18See now, I have set my cause in order. I know that I am righteous.
19എന്നോടു വാദിപ്പാന് തുനിയുന്നതാര്? ഞാന് ഇപ്പോള് മണ്ടാതിരുന്നു എന്റെ പ്രാണന് വിട്ടുപോകും.
19Who is he who will contend with me? For then would I hold my peace and give up the spirit.
20രണ്ടു കാര്യം മാത്രം എന്നോടു ചെയ്യരുതേ; എന്നാല് ഞാന് നിന്റെ സന്നിധി വിട്ടു ഒളിക്കയില്ല.
20“Only don’t do two things to me; then I will not hide myself from your face:
21നിന്റെ കൈ എങ്കല്നിന്നു പിന് വലിക്കേണമേ; നിന്റെ ഘോരത്വം എന്നെ ഭ്രമിപ്പിക്കരുതേ.
21withdraw your hand far from me; and don’t let your terror make me afraid.
22പിന്നെ നീ വിളിച്ചാലും; ഞാന് ഉത്തരം പറയും; അല്ലെങ്കില് ഞാന് സംസാരിക്കാം; നീ ഉത്തരം അരുളേണമേ.
22Then call, and I will answer; or let me speak, and you answer me.
23എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളും പാപങ്ങളും എത്ര? എന്റെ അതിക്രമവും പാപവും എന്നെ ഗ്രഹിപ്പിക്കേണമേ.
23How many are my iniquities and sins? Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
24തിരുമുഖം മറെച്ചുകൊള്ളുന്നതും എന്നെ ശത്രുവായി വിചാരിക്കുന്നതും എന്തിന്നു?
24Why hide you your face, and hold me for your enemy?
25പാറിപ്പോകുന്ന ഇലയെ നീ പേടിപ്പിക്കുമോ? ഉണങ്ങിയ താളടിയെ പിന്തുടരുമോ?
25Will you harass a driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
26കൈപ്പായുള്ളതു നീ എനിക്കു എഴുതിവെച്ചു എന്റെ യൌവനത്തിലെ അകൃത്യങ്ങള് എന്നെ അനുഭവിക്കുമാറാക്കുന്നു.
26For you write bitter things against me, and make me inherit the iniquities of my youth:
27എന്റെ കാല് നീ ആമത്തില് ഇട്ടു; എന്റെ നടപ്പൊക്കെയും കുറിച്ചുവെക്കുന്നു. എന്റെ കാലടികളുടെ ചുറ്റും വര വരെക്കുന്നു.
27You also put my feet in the stocks, and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of my feet,
28ഇജ്ജനം ചീഞ്ഞഴുകിയ വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും പുഴു അരിച്ച വസ്ത്രംപോലെയും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
28though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a garment that is moth-eaten.
