1അങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് തനിക്കുതന്നേ നീതിമാനായ്തോന്നിയതുകൊണ്ടു ഈ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ അവനോടു വാദിക്കുന്നതു മതിയാക്കി.
1So these three men ceased to answer Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.
2അപ്പോള്‍ രാംവംശത്തില്‍ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകന്‍ എലീഹൂവിന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു; ദൈവത്തെക്കാള്‍ തന്നെത്താന്‍ നീതീകരിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ നേരെ അവന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
2Then the wrath of Elihu the son of Barachel, the Buzite, of the family of Ram, was kindled against Job. His wrath was kindled because he justified himself rather than God.
3അവന്റെ മൂന്നു സ്നേഹിതന്മാര്‍ ഇയ്യോബിന്റെ കുറ്റം തെളിയിപ്പാന്‍ തക്ക ഉത്തരം കാണായ്കകൊണ്ടു അവരുടെ നേരെയും അവന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
3Also his wrath was kindled against his three friends, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.
4എന്നാല്‍ അവര്‍ തന്നെക്കാള്‍ പ്രായമുള്ളവരാകകൊണ്ടു എലീഹൂ ഇയ്യോബിനോടു സംസാരിപ്പാന്‍ താമസിച്ചു.
4Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job, because they were elder than he.
5ആ മൂന്നു പുരുഷന്മാര്‍ക്കും ഉത്തരം മുട്ടിപ്പോയി എന്നു കണ്ടിട്ടു എലീഹൂവിന്റെ കോപം ജ്വലിച്ചു.
5When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was kindled.
6അങ്ങനെ ബൂസ്യനായ ബറഖേലിന്റെ മകന്‍ എലീഹൂ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍ഞാന്‍ പ്രായം കുറഞ്ഞവനും നിങ്ങള്‍ വൃദ്ധന്മാരും ആകുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ ശങ്കിച്ചു, അഭിപ്രായം പറവാന്‍ തുനിഞ്ഞില്ല.
6Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered, “I am young, and you are very old; Therefore I held back, and didn’t dare show you my opinion.
7പ്രായം സംസാരിക്കയും വയോധിക്യം ജ്ഞാനം ഉപദേശിക്കയും ചെയ്യട്ടെ എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഞാന്‍ വിചാരിച്ചു.
7I said, ‘Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.’
8എന്നാല്‍ മനുഷ്യരില്‍ ആത്മാവുണ്ടല്ലോ; സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്റെ ശ്വാസം അവര്‍ക്കും വിവേകം നലകുന്നു.
8But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
9പ്രായം ചെന്നവരത്രേ ജ്ഞാനികള്‍ എന്നില്ല; വൃദ്ധന്മാരത്രേ ന്യായബോധമുള്ളവര്‍ എന്നുമില്ല.
9It is not the great who are wise, nor the aged who understand justice.
10അതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ പറയുന്നതുഎന്റെ വാക്കു കേട്ടുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ ; ഞാനും എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം പ്രസ്താവിക്കാം.
10Therefore I said, ‘Listen to me; I also will show my opinion.’
11ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളുടെ വാക്കു ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു; നിങ്ങള്‍ തക്ക മൊഴികള്‍ ആരാഞ്ഞു കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉപദേശങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഞാന്‍ ചെവികൊടുത്തു.
11“Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.
12നിങ്ങള്‍ പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ ശ്രദ്ധകൊടുത്തു; ഇയ്യോബിന്നു ബോധം വരുത്തുവാനോ അവന്റെ മൊഴികള്‍ക്കുത്തരം പറവാനോ നിങ്ങളില്‍ ആരുമില്ല.
12Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.
13ഞങ്ങള്‍ ജ്ഞാനം കണ്ടുപിടിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നുമനുഷ്യനല്ല, ദൈവമത്രേ അവനെ ജയിക്കും എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ പറയരുതു.
13Beware lest you say, ‘We have found wisdom, God may refute him, not man;’
14എന്റെ നേരെയല്ലല്ലോ അവന്‍ തന്റെ മൊഴികളെ പ്രയോഗിച്ചതു; നിങ്ങളുടെ വചനങ്ങള്‍കൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ അവനോടു ഉത്തരം പറകയുമില്ല.
14for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.
15അവര്‍ പരിഭ്രമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ഉത്തരം പറയുന്നില്ല; അവര്‍ക്കും വാക്കു മുട്ടിപ്പോയി.
15“They are amazed. They answer no more. They don’t have a word to say.
16അവര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറയാതെ വെറുതെ നിലക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ സംസാരിക്കായ്കയാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ കാത്തിരിക്കേണമോ?
16Shall I wait, because they don’t speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?
17എനിക്കു പറവാനുള്ളതു ഞാനും പറയും; എന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം ഞാന്‍ പ്രസ്താവിക്കും.
17I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.
18ഞാന്‍ മൊഴികള്‍കൊണ്ടു തിങ്ങിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ഉള്ളിലെ ആത്മാവു എന്നെ നിര്‍ബ്ബന്ധിക്കുന്നു.
18For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.
19എന്റെ ഉള്ളം അടെച്ചുവെച്ച വീഞ്ഞുപോലെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അതു പുതിയ തുരുത്തികള്‍പോലെ പൊട്ടു മാറായിരിക്കുന്നു.
19Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.
20എന്റെ വിമ്മിഷ്ടം തീരേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ സംസാരിക്കും; എന്റെ അധരം തുറന്നു ഉത്തരം പറയും.
20I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.
21ഞാന്‍ ഒരുത്തന്റെയും പക്ഷം പിടിക്കയില്ല; ആരോടും മുഖസ്തുതി പറകയുമില്ല.
21Please don’t let me respect any man’s person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.
22മുഖസ്തുതി പറവാന്‍ എനിക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താല്‍ എന്റെ സ്രഷ്ടാവു ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ എന്നെ നീക്കിക്കളയും.
22For I don’t know how to give flattering titles; or else my Maker would soon take me away.
