1എലീഹൂ പിന്നെയും പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
1Moreover Elihu answered,
2ജ്ഞാനികളേ, എന്റെ വചനം കേള്‍പ്പിന്‍ ; വിദ്വാന്മാരേ, എനിക്കു ചെവിതരുവിന്‍ .
2“Hear my words, you wise men. Give ear to me, you who have knowledge.
3അണ്ണാകൂ ആഹാരത്തെ രുചിനോക്കുന്നു; ചെവിയോ വചനങ്ങളെ ശോധന ചെയ്യുന്നു;
3For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.
4ന്യായമായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കാം; നന്മയായുള്ളതു നമുക്കു തന്നേ ആലോചിച്ചറിയാം.
4Let us choose for us that which is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.
5ഞാന്‍ നീതിമാന്‍ , ദൈവം എന്റെ ന്യായം തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞു; എന്റെ ന്യായത്തിന്നെതിരെ ഞാന്‍ ഭോഷകു പറയേണമോ?
5For Job has said, ‘I am righteous, God has taken away my right:
6ലംഘനം ഇല്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും എന്റെ മുറിവു പൊറുക്കുന്നില്ല എന്നിങ്ങനെ ഇയ്യോബ് പറഞ്ഞുവല്ലോ.
6Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.’
7ഇയ്യോബിനെപ്പോലെ ഒരാളുണ്ടോ? അവന്‍ പരിഹാസത്തെ വെള്ളംപോലെ കുടിക്കുന്നു;
7What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water,
8അവന്‍ ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരോടു കൂട്ടുകൂടുന്നു; ദുര്‍ജ്ജനങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
8Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?
9ദൈവത്തോടു രഞ്ജനയായിരിക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു മനുഷ്യന്നു പ്രയോജനമില്ലെന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
9For he has said, ‘It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.’
10അതുകൊണ്ടു വിവേകികളേ, കേട്ടുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ ; ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടതയോ സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്‍ നീതികേടോ ഒരിക്കലും ചെയ്കയില്ല.
10“Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.
11അവന്‍ മനുഷ്യന്നു അവന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തിക്കു പകരം ചെയ്യും; ഔരോരുത്തന്നു അവനവന്റെ നടപ്പിന്നു തക്കവണ്ണം കൊടുക്കും.
11For the work of a man he will render to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.
12ദൈവം ദുഷ്ടത പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കയില്ല നിശ്ചയം; സര്‍വ്വശക്തന്‍ ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളകയുമില്ല.
12Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.
13ഭൂമിയെ അവങ്കല്‍ ഭരമേല്പിച്ചതാര്‍? ഭൂമണ്ഡലമാകെ സ്ഥാപിച്ചതാര്‍?
13Who put him in charge of the earth? or who has appointed him over the whole world?
14അവന്‍ തന്റെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ മാത്രം ദൃഷ്ടിവെച്ചെങ്കില്‍ തന്റെ ആത്മാവിനെയും ശ്വാസത്തെയും മടക്കി എടുത്തെങ്കില്‍
14If he set his heart on himself, If he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath,
15സകലജഡവും ഒരുപോലെ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോകും; മനുഷ്യന്‍ പൊടിയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങിച്ചേരും.
15all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.
16നിനക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ഇതു കേട്ടുകൊള്‍ക; എന്റെ വചനങ്ങളെ ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക;
16“If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.
17ന്യായത്തെ പകെക്കുന്നവന്‍ ഭരിക്കുമോ? നീതിമാനും ബലവാനുമായവനെ നീ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കുമോ?
17Shall even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty?—
18രാജാവിനോടുനീ വഷളന്‍ എന്നും പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ എന്നും പറയുമോ?
18Who says to a king, ‘Vile!’ or to nobles, ‘Wicked!’?
19അവന്‍ പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരുടെ പക്ഷം എടുക്കുന്നില്ല; ദരിദ്രനെക്കാള്‍ ധനവാനെ ആദരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല; അവരെല്ലാവരും തൃക്കൈയുടെ പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ.
19Who doesn’t respect the persons of princes, nor respects the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.
20പെട്ടെന്നു അര്‍ദ്ധരാത്രിയില്‍ തന്നേ അവര്‍ മരിക്കുന്നു; ജനം കുലുങ്ങി ഒഴിഞ്ഞു പോകുന്നു; കൈ തൊടാതെ ബലശാലികള്‍ നീങ്ങിപ്പോകുന്നു.
20In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.
21അവന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടി മനുഷ്യന്റെ വഴികളിന്മേല്‍ ഇരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നടപ്പു ഒക്കെയും അവന്‍ കാണുന്നു.
21“For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.
22ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാര്‍ക്കും ഒളിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണ്ടതിന്നു അവിടെ ഇരുട്ടുമില്ല അന്ധതമസ്സുമില്ല.
22There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.
23മനുഷ്യന്‍ ദൈവസന്നിധിയില്‍ ന്യായവിസ്താരത്തിന്നു ചെല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്‍ അവനില്‍ അധികം ദൃഷ്ടിവെപ്പാന്‍ ആവശ്യമില്ല.
23For he doesn’t need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.
24വിചാരണ ചെയ്യാതെ അവന്‍ ബലശാലികളെ തകര്‍ത്തുകളയുന്നു; അവര്‍ക്കും പകരം വേറെ ആളുകളെ നിയമിക്കുന്നു.
24He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.
25അങ്ങനെ അവന്‍ അവരുടെ പ്രവൃത്തികളെ അറിയുന്നു; രാത്രിയില്‍ അവരെ മറിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര്‍ തകര്‍ന്നുപോകുന്നു.
25Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.
26കാണികള്‍ കൂടുന്ന സ്ഥലത്തുവെച്ചു അവന്‍ അവരെ ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.
26He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others;
27അവര്‍, എളിയവരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ എത്തുവാനും പീഡിതന്മാരുടെ നിലവിളി അവന്‍ കേള്‍പ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം
27because they turned aside from following him, and wouldn’t pay attention to any of his ways,
28അവനെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു പിന്മാറിക്കളകയും അവന്റെ വഴികളെ ഗണ്യമാക്കാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്തുവല്ലോ.
28so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.
29വഷളനായ മനുഷ്യന്‍ വാഴാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും ജനത്തെ കുടുക്കുവാന്‍ ആരും ഇല്ലാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നും
29When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man,
30അവന്‍ സ്വസ്ഥത നല്കിയാല്‍ ആര്‍ കുറ്റം വിധിക്കും? ഒരു ജാതിക്കായാലും ഒരാള്‍ക്കായാലും അവന്‍ മുഖം മറെച്ചുകളഞ്ഞാല്‍ ആര്‍ അവനെ കാണും?
30that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.
31ഞാന്‍ ശിക്ഷ സഹിച്ചു; ഞാന്‍ ഇനി കുറ്റം ചെയ്കയില്ല;
31“For has any said to God, ‘I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.
32ഞാന്‍ കാണാത്തതു എന്നെ പഠിപ്പിക്കേണമേ; ഞാന്‍ അന്യായം ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ഇനി ചെയ്കയില്ല എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും ദൈവത്തോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ടോ?
32Teach me that which I don’t see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more’?
33നീ മുഷിഞ്ഞതുകൊണ്ടു അവന്‍ നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടംപോലെ പകരം ചെയ്യേണമോ? ഞാനല്ല, നീ തന്നേ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കേണ്ടതല്ലോ; ആകയാല്‍ നീ അറിയുന്നതു പ്രസ്താവിച്ചുകൊള്‍ക.
33Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.
34ഇയ്യോബ് അറിവില്ലാതെ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ വാക്കുകളിലും ജ്ഞാനമില്ല എന്നു വിവേകമുള്ള പുരുഷന്മാരും
34Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me:
35എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്‍ക്കുന്ന ഏതു ജ്ഞാനിയും എന്നോടു പറയും.
35‘Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.’
36ഇയ്യോബ് ദുഷ്ടന്മാരെപ്പോലെ പ്രതിവാദിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവനെ ആദിയോടന്തം പരിശോധിച്ചാല്‍ കൊള്ളാം.
36I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.
37അവന്‍ തന്റെ പാപത്തോടു ദ്രോഹം ചേര്‍ക്കുംന്നു; അവന്‍ നമ്മുടെ മദ്ധ്യേ കൈ കൊട്ടുന്നു; ദൈവത്തിന്നു വിരോധമായി വാക്കു വര്‍ദ്ധിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
37For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God.”
