1അതിന്നു ശൂഹ്യനായ ബില്ദാദ് ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്
1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,
2എത്രത്തോളം നീ ഇങ്ങനെ സംസാരിക്കും? നിന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകള് വങ്കാറ്റുപോലെ ഇരിക്കും?
2“How long will you speak these things? Shall the words of your mouth be a mighty wind?
3ദൈവം ന്യായം മറിച്ചുകളയുമോ? സര്വ്വശക്തന് നീതിയെ മറിച്ചുകളയുമോ?
3Does God pervert justice? Or does the Almighty pervert righteousness?
4നിന്റെ മക്കള് അവനോടു പാപം ചെയ്തെങ്കില് അവന് അവരെ അവരുടെ അതിക്രമങ്ങള്ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകളഞ്ഞു.
4If your children have sinned against him, He has delivered them into the hand of their disobedience.
5നീ ദൈവത്തെ ശ്രദ്ധയോടെ അന്വേഷിക്കയും സര്വ്വശക്തനോടപേക്ഷിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്,
5If you want to seek God diligently, make your supplication to the Almighty.
6നീ നിര്മ്മലനും നേരുള്ളവനുമെങ്കില് അവന് ഇപ്പോള് നിനക്കു വേണ്ടി ഉണര്ന്നുവരും; നിന്റെ നീതിയുള്ള വാസസ്ഥലത്തെ യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കും.
6If you were pure and upright, surely now he would awaken for you, and make the habitation of your righteousness prosperous.
7നിന്റെ പൂര്വ്വസ്ഥിതി അല്പമായ്തോന്നും; നിന്റെ അന്ത്യസ്ഥിതി അതിമഹത്തായിരിക്കും.
7Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would greatly increase.
8നീ പണ്ടത്തെ തലമുറയോടു ചോദിക്ക; അവരുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അന്വേഷണ ഫലം ഗ്രഹിച്ചുകൊള്ക.
8“Please inquire of past generations. Find out about the learning of their fathers.
9നാം ഇന്നലെ ഉണ്ടായവരും ഒന്നുമറിയാത്തവരുമല്ലോ; ഭൂമിയില് നമ്മുടെ ജീവകാലം ഒരു നിഴലത്രെ.
9(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days on earth are a shadow.)
10അവര് നിനക്കു ഉപദേശിച്ചുപറഞ്ഞുതരും; തങ്ങളുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില്നിന്നു വാക്കുകളെ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കും.
10Shall they not teach you, tell you, and utter words out of their heart?
11ചെളിയില്ലാതെ ഞാങ്ങണ വളരുമോ? വെള്ളമില്ലാതെ പോട്ടപ്പുല്ലു വളരുമോ?
11“Can the papyrus grow up without mire? Can the rushes grow without water?
12അതു അരിയാതെ പച്ചയായിരിക്കുമ്പോള് തന്നേ മറ്റു എല്ലാ പുല്ലിന്നും മുമ്പെ വാടിപ്പോകുന്നു.
12While it is yet in its greenness, not cut down, it withers before any other reed.
13ദൈവത്തെ മറക്കുന്ന എല്ലാവരുടെയും പാത അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ; വഷളന്റെ ആശ നശിച്ചുപോകും;
13So are the paths of all who forget God. The hope of the godless man shall perish,
14അവന്റെ ആശ്രയം അറ്റുപോകും; അവന്റെ ശരണം ചിലന്തിവലയത്രെ.
14Whose confidence shall break apart, Whose trust is a spider’s web.
15അവന് തന്റെ വീട്ടിനെ ആശ്രയിക്കും; അതോ നില്ക്കയില്ല; അവന് അതിനെ മുറുകെ പിടിക്കും; അതോ നിലനില്ക്കയില്ല.
15He shall lean on his house, but it shall not stand. He shall cling to it, but it shall not endure.
16വെയിലത്തു അവന് പച്ചയായിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ ചില്ലികള് അവന്റെ തോട്ടത്തില് പടരുന്നു.
16He is green before the sun. His shoots go forth over his garden.
17അവന്റെ വേര് കല്ക്കുന്നില് പിണയുന്നു; അതു കല്ലടുക്കില് ചെന്നു പിടിക്കുന്നു.
17His roots are wrapped around the rock pile. He sees the place of stones.
18അവന്റെ സ്ഥലത്തുനിന്നു അവനെ നശിപ്പിച്ചാല് ഞാന് നിന്നെ കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു അതു അവനെ നിഷേധിക്കും.
18If he is destroyed from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, ‘I have not seen you.’
19ഇതാ, ഇതു അവന്റെ വഴിയുടെ സന്തോഷം; പൊടിയില്നിന്നു മറ്റൊന്നു മുളെച്ചുവരും.
19Behold, this is the joy of his way: out of the earth, others shall spring.
20ദൈവം നിഷ്കളങ്കനെ നിരസിക്കയില്ല; ദുഷ്പ്രവൃത്തിക്കാരെ താങ്ങുകയുമില്ല.
20“Behold, God will not cast away a blameless man, neither will he uphold the evildoers.
21അവന് ഇനിയും നിന്റെ വായില് ചിരിയും നിന്റെ അധരങ്ങളില് ഉല്ലാസഘോഷവും നിറെക്കും.
21He will still fill your mouth with laughter, your lips with shouting.
22നിന്നെ പകക്കുന്നവര് ലജ്ജ ധരിക്കും; ദുഷ്ടന്മാരുടെ കൂടാരം ഇല്ലാതെയാകും.
22Those who hate you shall be clothed with shame. The tent of the wicked shall be no more.”
