1യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശെയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തതു
1Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them,
2നിങ്ങള് യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളോടു പറയേണ്ടതു എന്തെന്നാല്ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗങ്ങള് ഇവ
2“Speak to the children of Israel, saying, ‘These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.
3മൃഗങ്ങളില് കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നതും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതും അയവിറക്കുന്നതുമായതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.
3Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.
4എന്നാല് അയവിറക്കുന്നവയിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നിരിക്കുന്നവയിലും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതാത്തവ ഇവഒട്ടകം; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കകൊണ്ടു അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
4“‘Nevertheless these you shall not eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.
5കുഴിമുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
5The coney, because he chews the cud but doesn’t have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.
6മുയല്; അയവിറക്കുന്നു എങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു പിളന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
6The hare, because she chews the cud but doesn’t part the hoof, she is unclean to you.
7പന്നി കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതായി കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതു തന്നേ എങ്കിലും അയവിറക്കുന്നതല്ലായ്കയാല് അതു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
7The pig, because he has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn’t chew the cud, he is unclean to you.
8ഇവയുടെ മാംസം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; പിണം തൊടുകയും അരുതു; ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
8Of their flesh you shall not eat, and their carcasses you shall not touch; they are unclean to you.
9വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള എല്ലാറ്റിലുംവെച്ചു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്നവ ഇവകടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ഉള്ള വെള്ളത്തില് ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഉള്ളവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.
9“‘These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.
10എന്നാല് കടലുകളിലും നദികളിലും ള്ളള വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനംചെയ്യുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും വെള്ളത്തിലുള്ള സകലജന്തുക്കളിലും ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലുമില്ലാത്തതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.
10All that don’t have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you,
11അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായി തന്നേ ഇരിക്കേണം. അവയുടെ മാംസം തിന്നരുതു; അവയുടെ പിണം നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.
11and you detest them. You shall not eat of their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.
12ചിറകും ചെതുമ്പലും ഇല്ലാതെ വെള്ളത്തില് ഉള്ളതൊക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പു ആയിരിക്കേണം.
12Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination to you.
13പക്ഷികളില് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണ്ടുന്നവ ഇവഅവയെ തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പു ആകുന്നുകഴുകന് , ചെമ്പരുന്തു,
13“‘These you shall detest among the birds; they shall not be eaten, they are an abomination: the eagle, and the vulture, and the black vulture,
14കടല്റാഞ്ചന് , ഗൃദ്ധം, അതതു വിധം പരുന്തു,
14and the red kite, any kind of black kite,
15അതതു വിധം കാക്ക, ഒട്ടകപ്പക്ഷി,
15any kind of raven,
16പുള്ളു, കടല്കാക്ക, അതതു വിധം പ്രാപ്പിടിയന് ,
16the horned owl, the screech owl, and the gull, any kind of hawk,
17നത്തു, നീര്ക്കാക്ക, ക്കുമന് , മൂങ്ങ,
17the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl,
18വേഴാമ്പല്, കുടുമ്മച്ചാത്തന് , പെരിഞാറ,
18the white owl, the desert owl, the osprey,
19അതതതു വിധം കൊകൂ, കുളക്കോഴി, നരിച്ചീര് എന്നിവയും
19the stork, any kind of heron, the hoopoe, and the bat.
20ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതു ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.
20“‘All flying insects that walk on all fours are an abomination to you.
21എങ്കിലും ചിറകുള്ള ഇഴജാതിയില് നാലുകാല് കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന എല്ലാറ്റിലും നിലത്തു കുതിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു കാലിന്മേല് തുട ഉള്ളവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.
21Yet you may eat these: of all winged creeping things that go on all fours, which have legs above their feet, with which to hop on the earth.
22ഇവയില് അതതു വിധം വെട്ടുക്കിളി, അതതു വിധം വിട്ടില്, അതതു വിധം ചീവീടു, അതതു വിധം തുള്ളന് എന്നിവയെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാം.
22Even of these you may eat: any kind of locust, any kind of katydid, any kind of cricket, and any kind of grasshopper.
23ചിറകും നാലുകാലുമുള്ള ശേഷം ഇഴജാതി ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അറെപ്പായിരിക്കേണം.
23But all winged creeping things which have four feet, are an abomination to you.
24അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് അശുദ്ധരാകുംഅവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.
24“‘By these you will become unclean: whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
25അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനെല്ലാം വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.
25Whoever carries any part of their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
26കുളമ്പു പിളര്ന്നതെങ്കിലും കുളമ്പു രണ്ടായി പിരിയാതെയും അയവിറക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗവും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.
26“‘Every animal which parts the hoof, and is not cloven-footed, nor chews the cud, is unclean to you. Everyone who touches them shall be unclean.
27നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്ന സകലമൃഗങ്ങളിലും ഉള്ളങ്കാല് പതിച്ചു നടക്കുന്നവ ഒക്കെയും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവയുടെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.
27Whatever goes on its paws, among all animals that go on all fours, they are unclean to you. Whoever touches their carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
28അവയുടെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം.
28He who carries their carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. They are unclean to you.
29നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയില്നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധമായവ ഇവ
29“‘These are they which are unclean to you among the creeping things that creep on the earth: the weasel, the rat, any kind of great lizard,
30പെരിച്ചാഴി, എലി, അതതു വിധം ഉടുമ്പു, അളുങ്കു, ഔന്തു, പല്ലി, അരണ, തുരവന് .
30the gecko, and the monitor lizard, the wall lizard, the skink, and the chameleon.
31എല്ലാ ഇഴജാതിയിലുംവെച്ചു ഇവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം; അവ ചത്തശേഷം അവയെ തൊടുന്നവനെല്ലാം സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.
31These are they which are unclean to you among all that creep. Whoever touches them when they are dead, shall be unclean until the evening.
32ചത്തശേഷം അവയില് ഒന്നു ഏതിന്മേല് എങ്കിലും വീണാല് അതൊക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; അതു മരപ്പാത്രമോ വസ്ത്രമോ തോലോ ചാകൂശീലയോ വേലെക്കു ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന പാത്രമോ എന്തായാലും വെള്ളത്തില് ഇടേണം; അതു സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കേണം; പിന്നെ ശുദ്ധമാകും.
32On whatever any of them falls when they are dead, it shall be unclean; whether it is any vessel of wood, or clothing, or skin, or sack, whatever vessel it is, with which any work is done, it must be put into water, and it shall be unclean until the evening; then it will be clean.
33അവയില് യാതൊന്നെങ്കിലും ഒരു മണ്പാത്രത്തിന്നകത്തു വീണാല് അതിന്നകത്തുള്ളതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകും; നിങ്ങള് അതു ഉടെച്ചുകളയേണം.
33Every earthen vessel, into which any of them falls, all that is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break it.
34തിന്നുന്ന വല്ല സാധനത്തിന്മേലും ആ വെള്ളം വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും; കുടിക്കുന്ന വല്ല പാനീയവും ആ വക പാത്രത്തില് ഉണ്ടെങ്കില് അതു അശുദ്ധമാകും;
34All food which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.
35അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വല്ലതിന്മേലും വീണാല് അതു ഒക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമാകുംഅടുപ്പോ തീച്ചട്ടിയോ ഇങ്ങനെ എന്തായാലും അതു തകര്ത്തുകളയേണം; അവ അശുദ്ധം ആകുന്നു; അവ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു അശുദ്ധം ആയിരിക്കേണം.
35Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.
36എന്നാല് നീരുറവും വെള്ളമുള്ള കിണറും ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും; പിണം തൊടുന്നവനോ അശുദ്ധനാകും.
36Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is a gathered shall be clean: but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
37വിതെക്കുന്ന വിത്തായ വല്ല ധാന്യത്തിന്മേലും അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം വീണാലും അതു ശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും.
37If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.
38എന്നാല് വിത്തില് വെള്ളം ഒഴിച്ചിട്ടു അവയില് ഒന്നിന്റെ പിണം അതിന്മേല് വീണാല് അതു അശുദ്ധം.
38But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.
39നിങ്ങള്ക്കു തിന്നാകുന്ന ഒരു മൃഗം ചത്താല് അതിന്റെ പിണം തൊടുന്നവന് സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധന് ആയിരിക്കേണം.
39“‘If any animal, of which you may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.
40അതിന്റെ പിണം തിന്നുന്നവന് വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം; അതിന്റെ പിണം വഹിക്കുന്നവനും വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കേണം.
40He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.
41നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ഇഴജാതിയെല്ലാം അറെപ്പാകുന്നു; അതിനെ തിന്നരുതു.
41“‘Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.
42ഉരസ്സുകൊണ്ടു ചരിക്കുന്നതും നാലുകാല്കൊണ്ടു നടക്കുന്നതും അല്ലെങ്കില് അനേകം കാലുള്ളതായി നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്നതുമായ യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെയും നിങ്ങള് തിന്നരുതു; അവ അറെപ്പാകുന്നു.
42Whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, them you shall not eat; for they are an abomination.
43യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയെക്കൊണ്ടും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അറെപ്പാക്കരുതു; അവയാല് നിങ്ങള് മലിനപ്പെടുമാറു നിങ്ങളെത്തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കുകയും അരുതു.
43You shall not make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby.
44ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങള് നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചു വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം; ഭൂമിയില് ഇഴയുന്ന യാതൊരു ഇഴജാതിയാലും നിങ്ങളെ തന്നേ അശുദ്ധമാക്കരുതു.
44For I am Yahweh your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.
45ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു പുറപ്പെടുവിച്ച യഹോവ ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് വിശുദ്ധനാകയാല് നിങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധന്മാരായിരിക്കേണം.
45For I am Yahweh who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.
46ശുദ്ധവും അശുദ്ധവും തമ്മിലും തിന്നാകുന്ന മൃഗത്തെയും തിന്നരുതാത്ത മൃഗത്തെയും തമ്മിലും
46“‘This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth,
47വകതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഇതു മൃഗങ്ങളെയും പക്ഷികളെയും വെള്ളത്തില് ചലനം ചെയ്യുന്ന സകല ജന്തുക്കളെയും നിലത്തു ഇഴയുന്ന ജന്തുക്കളെയും പറ്റിയുള്ള പ്രമാണം ആകുന്നു.
47to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.’”
