1വിഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ ഉണ്ടാക്കരുതു; ബിംബമോ സ്തംഭമോ നാട്ടരുതു; രൂപം കൊത്തിയ യാതൊരു കല്ലും നമസ്കരിപ്പാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തു നാട്ടുകയും അരുതു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
1“‘You shall make for yourselves no idols, neither shall you raise up an engraved image or a pillar, neither shall you place any figured stone in your land, to bow down to it: for I am Yahweh your God.
2നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള് ആചരിക്കയും എന്റെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരം ബഹുമാനിക്കയും വേണം; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
2“‘You shall keep my Sabbaths, and have reverence for my sanctuary. I am Yahweh.
3എന്റെ ചട്ടം ആചരിച്ചു എന്റെ കല്പന പ്രമാണിച്ചു അനുസരിച്ചാല്
3“‘If you walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;
4ഞാന് തക്കസമയത്തു നിങ്ങള്ക്കു മഴതരും; ഭൂമി വിളവു തരും; ഭൂമിയിലുള്ള വൃക്ഷവും ഫലം തരും.
4then I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
5നിങ്ങളുടെ മെതി മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിക്കുന്നതുവരെ നിലക്കും; മുന്തിരിപ്പഴം പറിക്കുന്നതു വിതകാലംവരെയും നിലക്കും; നിങ്ങള് തൃപ്തരായി അഹോവൃത്തികഴിച്ചു ദേശത്തു നിര്ഭയം വസിക്കും.
5Your threshing shall reach to the vintage, and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time; and you shall eat your bread to the full, and dwell in your land safely.
6ഞാന് ദേശത്തു സമാധാനം തരും; നിങ്ങള് കിടക്കും; ആരും നിങ്ങളെ ഭയപ്പെടുത്തുകയില്ല; ഞാന് ദേശത്തുനിന്നു ദുഷ്ടമൃഗങ്ങളെ നീക്കിക്കളയും; വാള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശത്തുകൂടി കടക്കയുമില്ല.
6“‘I will give peace in the land, and you shall lie down, and no one will make you afraid; and I will remove evil animals out of the land, neither shall the sword go through your land.
7നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കളെ നിങ്ങള് ഔടിക്കും; അവര് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വാളിനാല് വീഴും.
7You shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.
8നിങ്ങളില് അഞ്ചുപേര് നൂറുപേരെ ഔടിക്കും; നിങ്ങളില് നൂറുപേര് പതിനായിരംപേരെ ഔടിക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പില് വാളിനാല് വീഴും.
8Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall chase ten thousand; and your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.
9ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ കടാക്ഷിച്ചു സന്താനസമ്പന്നരാക്കി പെരുക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം സ്ഥിരമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
9“‘I will have respect for you, and make you fruitful, and multiply you, and will establish my covenant with you.
10നിങ്ങള് പഴയ ധാന്യം ഭക്ഷിക്കയും പുതിയതിന്റെ നിമിത്തം പഴയതു പുറത്തു ഇറക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
10You shall eat old store long kept, and you shall move out the old because of the new.
11ഞാന് എന്റെ നിവാസം നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് ആക്കും; എന്റെ ഉള്ളം നിങ്ങളെ വെറുക്കയില്ല.
11I will set my tent among you: and my soul won’t abhor you.
12ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് സഞ്ചരിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും; ഞാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ദൈവവും നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു ജനവും ആയിരിക്കും.
12I will walk among you, and will be your God, and you will be my people.
13നിങ്ങള് മിസ്രയീമ്യര്ക്കും അടിമകളാകാതിരിപ്പാന് അവരുടെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നിങ്ങളെ കൊണ്ടുവന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ഞാന് ആകുന്നു; ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ നുകക്കൈകളെ ഒടിച്ചു നിങ്ങളെ നിവിര്ന്നു നടക്കുമാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
13I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should not be their slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke, and made you go upright.
14നിങ്ങളുടെ ഉള്ളം എന്റെ വിധികളെ വെറുത്തു നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ കല്പനകളൊക്കെയും പ്രമാണിക്കാതെ എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിച്ചാല് ഞാനും ഇങ്ങനെ നിങ്ങളേൂടു ചെയ്യും
14“‘But if you will not listen to me, and will not do all these commandments;
15കണ്ണിനെ മങ്ങിക്കുന്നതും ജീവനെ ക്ഷയിപ്പിക്കുന്നതുമായ ഭീതി, ക്ഷയരോഗം, ജ്വരം എന്നിവ ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ മേല് വരുത്തും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വിത്തു നിങ്ങള് വെറുതെ വിതെക്കും; ശത്രുക്കള് അതു ഭക്ഷിക്കും.
15and if you shall reject my statutes, and if your soul abhors my ordinances, so that you will not do all my commandments, but break my covenant;
16ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ നേരെ ദൃഷ്ടിവേക്കും; നിങ്ങള് ശത്രുക്കളോടു തോറ്റുപോകും; നിങ്ങളെ ദ്വേഷിക്കുന്നവര് നിങ്ങളെ ഭരിക്കും; ഔടിക്കുന്നവര് ഇല്ലാതെ നിങ്ങള് ഔടും.
16I also will do this to you: I will appoint terror over you, even consumption and fever, that shall consume the eyes, and make the soul to pine away; and you will sow your seed in vain, for your enemies will eat it.
17ഇതെല്ലം ആയിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതിരുന്നാല് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള്നിമിത്തം ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ശിക്ഷിക്കും.
17I will set my face against you, and you will be struck before your enemies. Those who hate you will rule over you; and you will flee when no one pursues you.
18ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ബലത്തിന്റെ പ്രതാപം കൊടുക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ആകാശത്തെ ഇരിമ്പു പോലെയും ഭൂമിയെ ചെമ്പുപോലെയും ആക്കും.
18“‘If you in spite of these things will not listen to me, then I will chastise you seven times more for your sins.
19നിങ്ങളുടെ ശക്തി വെറുതെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം വിളവു തരാതെയും ദേശത്തിലെ വൃക്ഷം ഫലം കായ്ക്കാതെയും ഇരിക്കും.
19I will break the pride of your power, and I will make your sky like iron, and your soil like brass;
20നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നു എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതിരുന്നാല് ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള്ക്കു തക്കവണ്ണം ഏഴു മടങ്ങു ബാധ നിങ്ങളുടെമേല് വരുത്തും.
20and your strength will be spent in vain; for your land won’t yield its increase, neither will the trees of the land yield their fruit.
21ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില് കാട്ടു മൃഗങ്ങളെ അയക്കും; അവ നിങ്ങളെ മക്കളില്ലാത്തവരാക്കുകയും നിങ്ങളുടെ കന്നുകാലികളെ നശിപ്പിക്കയും നിങ്ങളെ എണ്ണത്തില് കുറെക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും; നിങ്ങളുടെ വഴികള് പാഴായി കിടക്കും.
21“‘If you walk contrary to me, and won’t listen to me, then I will bring seven times more plagues on you according to your sins.
22ഇവയാലും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു ബോധംവരാതെ നിങ്ങള് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നാല്
22I will send the wild animals among you, which will rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number; and your roads will become desolate.
23ഞാനും നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നു നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള് നിമിത്തം ഏഴുമടങ്ങു നിങ്ങളെ ദണ്ഡിപ്പിക്കും.
23“‘If by these things you won’t be reformed to me, but will walk contrary to me;
25ഇതെല്ലാമായിട്ടും നിങ്ങള് എന്റെ വാക്കു കേള്ക്കാതെ എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നാല്
24then I will also walk contrary to you; and I will strike you, even I, seven times for your sins.
26ഞാനും ക്രോധത്തോടെ നിങ്ങള്ക്കു വിരോധമായി നടക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പാപങ്ങള്നിമിത്തം നിങ്ങളെ ഏഴുമടങ്ങു ശിക്ഷിക്കും.
25I will bring a sword upon you, that will execute the vengeance of the covenant; and you will be gathered together within your cities: and I will send the pestilence among you; and you will be delivered into the hand of the enemy.
27നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രന്മാരുടെ മാംസം നിങ്ങള് തിന്നും; നിങ്ങളുടെ പുത്രിമാരുടെ മാംസവും തിന്നും.
26When I break your staff of bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver your bread again by weight: and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.
28ഞാന് നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങളെ പാഴ്നിലവും നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരങ്ങളെ ശൂന്യവും ആക്കും; നിങ്ങളുടെ സൌരഭ്യവാസന ഞാന് മണക്കുകയില്ല.
27“‘If you in spite of this won’t listen to me, but walk contrary to me;
29ഞാന് ദേശത്തെ ശൂന്യമാക്കും; അതില് വസിക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ ശത്രുക്കള് അതിങ്കല് ആശ്ചര്യപ്പെടും.
28then I will walk contrary to you in wrath; and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.
30ഞാന് നിങ്ങളെ ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് ചിതറിച്ചു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിന്നാലെ വാള് ഊരും നിങ്ങളുടെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായും നിങ്ങളുടെ പട്ടണങ്ങള് പാഴ്നിലമായും കിടക്കും.
29You will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.
31അങ്ങനെ ദേശം ശൂന്യമായി കിടക്കയും നിങ്ങള് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു ഇരിക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്ന നാളൊക്കെയും അതു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള് അനുഭവിക്കും; അപ്പോള് ദേശം സ്വസ്ഥമായിക്കിടന്നു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള് അനുഭവിക്കും.
30I will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and cast your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols; and my soul will abhor you.
32നിങ്ങള് അവിടെ പാര്ത്തിരുന്നപ്പോള് നിങ്ങളുടെ ശബ്ബത്തുകളില് അതിന്നു അനുഭവമാകാതിരുന്ന സ്വസ്ഥത അതു ശൂന്യമായി കിടക്കുന്ന നാളൊക്കെയും അനുഭവിക്കും.
31I will lay your cities waste, and will bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not take delight in the sweet fragrance of your offerings.
33ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തില് ഞാന് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു ഭീരുത്വം വരുത്തും; ഇല പറക്കുന്ന ശബ്ദം കേട്ടിട്ടു അവര് ഔടും; വാളിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു ഔടുന്നതുപോലെ അവര് ഔടും; ആരും ഔടിക്കാതെ അവര് ഔടിവീഴും.
32I will bring the land into desolation; and your enemies that dwell therein will be astonished at it.
34ആരും ഔടിക്കാതെ അവര് വാളിന്റെ മുമ്പില്നിന്നു എന്നപോലെ ഔടി ഒരുത്തന്റെ മേല് ഒരുത്തന് വീഴും; ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മുമ്പില് നില്പാന് നിങ്ങള്ക്കു കഴികയുമില്ല.
33I will scatter you among the nations, and I will draw out the sword after you: and your land will be a desolation, and your cities shall be a waste.
35നിങ്ങള് ജാതികളുടെ ഇടയില് നശിക്കും; ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശം നിങ്ങളെ തിന്നുകളയും.
34Then the land will enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land. Even then the land will rest and enjoy its sabbaths.
36നിങ്ങളില് ശേഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നവര് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തുവെച്ചു തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാല് ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും; തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യങ്ങളാലും അവര് അവരോടുകൂടെ ക്ഷയിച്ചുപോകും.
35As long as it lies desolate it shall have rest, even the rest which it didn’t have in your sabbaths, when you lived on it.
37അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യവും തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അകൃത്യവും അവര് എന്നോടു ദ്രോഹിച്ച ദ്രോഹവും അവര് എനിക്കു വിരോധമായി നടന്നതുകൊണ്ടു
36“‘As for those of you who are left, I will send a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies: and the sound of a driven leaf will put them to flight; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they will fall when no one pursues.
38ഞാനും അവര്ക്കും വിരോധമായി നടന്നു അവരെ ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു വരുത്തിയതും ഏറ്റുപറകയും അവരുടെ പരിച്ഛേദനയില്ലാത്ത ഹൃദയം അപ്പോള് താഴുകയും അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കയും ചെയ്താല്
37They will stumble over one another, as it were before the sword, when no one pursues: and you will have no power to stand before your enemies.
39ഞാന് യാക്കോബിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ഔര്ക്കും; യിസ്ഹാക്കിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും അബ്രാഹാമിനോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമവും ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും; ദേശത്തെയും ഞാന് ഔര്ക്കും.
38You will perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies will eat you up.
40അവര് ദേശം വിട്ടുപോയിട്ടു അവരില്ലാതെ അതു ശൂന്യമായി കിടന്നു തന്റെ ശബ്ബത്തുകള് അനുഭവിക്കും. അവര് എന്റെ വിധികളെ ധിക്കരിക്കയും അവര്ക്കും എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളോടു വെറുപ്പുതോന്നുകയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടു അവര് തങ്ങളുടെ അകൃത്യത്തിന്നുള്ള ശിക്ഷ അനുഭവിക്കും.
39Those of you who are left will pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; and also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away with them.
41എങ്കിലും അവര് ശത്രുക്കളുടെ ദേശത്തു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് അവരെ നിര്മ്മൂലമാക്കുവാനും അവരോടുള്ള എന്റെ നിയമം ലംഘിപ്പാനും തക്കവണ്ണം ഞാന് അവരെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയില്ല, അവരെ വെറുക്കയുമില്ല; ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
40“‘If they confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass which they trespassed against me, and also that, because they walked contrary to me,
42ഞാന് അവരുടെ ദൈവമായിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ജാതികള് കാണ്കെ മിസ്രയീംദേശത്തുനിന്നു ഞാന് കൊണ്ടുവന്ന അവരുടെ പൂര്വ്വന്മാരോടു ചെയ്ത നിയമം ഞാന് അവര്ക്കും വേണ്ടി ഔര്ക്കും; ഞാന് യഹോവ ആകുന്നു.
41I also walked contrary to them, and brought them into the land of their enemies: if then their uncircumcised heart is humbled, and they then accept the punishment of their iniquity;
43യഹോവ സീനായി പര്വ്വതത്തില്വെച്ചു തനിക്കും യിസ്രായേല്മക്കള്ക്കും തമ്മില് മോശെമുഖാന്തരം വെച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണങ്ങളും ഇവതന്നേ.
42then I will remember my covenant with Jacob; and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham; and I will remember the land.
43The land also will be left by them, and will enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them: and they will accept the punishment of their iniquity; because, even because they rejected my ordinances, and their soul abhorred my statutes.
44Yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, neither will I abhor them, to destroy them utterly, and to break my covenant with them; for I am Yahweh their God;
45but I will for their sake remember the covenant of their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am Yahweh.’”
46These are the statutes, ordinances and laws, which Yahweh made between him and the children of Israel in Mount Sinai by Moses.
