1മടുത്തുപോകാതെ എപ്പോഴും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ളതിന്നു അവന്‍ അവരോടു ഒരുപമ പറഞ്ഞതു
1He also spoke a parable to them that they must always pray, and not give up,
2ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ലാത്ത ഒരു ന്യായാധിപന്‍ ഒരു പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
2saying, “There was a judge in a certain city who didn’t fear God, and didn’t respect man.
3ആ പട്ടണത്തില്‍ ഒരു വിധവയും ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. അവള്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നുഎന്റെ പ്രതിയോഗിയോടു പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 A widow was in that city, and she often came to him, saying, ‘Defend me from my adversary!’
4അവന്നു കുറേ കാലത്തേക്കു മനസ്സില്ലായിരുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന്‍ എനിക്കു ദൈവത്തെ ഭയവും മനുഷ്യനെ ശങ്കയുമില്ല
4 He wouldn’t for a while, but afterward he said to himself, ‘Though I neither fear God, nor respect man,
5എങ്കിലും വിധവ എന്നെ അസഹ്യമാക്കുന്നതുകൊണ്ടു ഞാന്‍ അവളെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും; അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ അവള്‍ ഒടുവില്‍ വന്നു എന്നെ മുഖത്തടിക്കും എന്നു ഉള്ളുകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.
5 yet because this widow bothers me, I will defend her, or else she will wear me out by her continual coming.’”
6അനീതിയുള്ള ന്യായാധിപന്‍ പറയുന്നതു കേള്‍പ്പിന്‍ .
6The Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge says.
7ദൈവമോ രാപ്പകല്‍ തന്നോടു നിലവിളിക്കുന്ന തന്റെ വൃതന്മാരുടെ കാര്യത്തില്‍ ദീര്‍ഘ ക്ഷമയുള്ളവന്‍ ആയാലും അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കയില്ലയോ?
7 Won’t God avenge his chosen ones, who are crying out to him day and night, and yet he exercises patience with them?
8വേഗത്തില്‍ അവരെ പ്രതിക്രിയ നടത്തി രക്ഷിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ വരുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ഭൂമിയില്‍ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടെത്തുമോ എന്നു കര്‍ത്താവു പറഞ്ഞു.
8 I tell you that he will avenge them quickly. Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
9തങ്ങള്‍ നീതിമാന്മാര്‍ എന്നു ഉറെച്ചു മറ്റുള്ളവരെ ധിക്കരിക്കുന്ന ചിലരെക്കുറിച്ചു അവന്‍ ഒരു ഉപമ പറഞ്ഞതെന്തെന്നാല്‍
9He spoke also this parable to certain people who were convinced of their own righteousness, and who despised all others.
10രണ്ടു മനുഷ്യര്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിപ്പാന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ പോയി; ഒരുത്തന്‍ പരീശന്‍ , മറ്റവന്‍ ചുങ്കക്കാരന്‍ .
10 “Two men went up into the temple to pray; one was a Pharisee, and the other was a tax collector.
11പരീശന്‍ നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു തന്നോടു തന്നെദൈവമേ, പിടിച്ചു പറിക്കാര്‍, നീതി കെട്ടവര്‍, വ്യഭിചാരികള്‍ മുതലായ ശേഷം മനുഷ്യരെപ്പോലെയോ ഈ ചുങ്കക്കാരനെപ്പോലെയോ ഞാന്‍ അല്ലായ്കയാല്‍ നിന്നെ വാഴ്ത്തുന്നു.
11 The Pharisee stood and prayed to himself like this: ‘God, I thank you, that I am not like the rest of men, extortioners, unrighteous, adulterers, or even like this tax collector.
12ആഴ്ചയില്‍ രണ്ടുവട്ടം ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നേടുന്നതില്‍ ഒക്കെയും പതാരം കൊടുത്തുവരുന്നു; എന്നിങ്ങനെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
12 I fast twice a week. I give tithes of all that I get.’
13ചുങ്കക്കാരനോ ദൂരത്തു നിന്നുകൊണ്ടു സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തേക്കു നോക്കുവാമ്പോലും തുനിയാതെ മാറത്തടിച്ചുദൈവമേ, പാപിയായ എന്നോടു കരുണയുണ്ടാകേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 But the tax collector, standing far away, wouldn’t even lift up his eyes to heaven, but beat his breast, saying, ‘God, be merciful to me, a sinner!’
14അവന്‍ നീതീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ടവനായി വീട്ടിലേക്കു പോയി; മറ്റവന്‍ അങ്ങനെയല്ല. തന്നെത്താന്‍ ഉയര്‍ത്തുന്നവന്‍ എല്ലാം താഴ്ത്തപ്പെടും; തന്നെത്താന്‍ താഴ്ത്തുന്നവന്‍ എല്ലാം ഉയര്‍ത്തപ്പെടും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
14 I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
15അവന്‍ തൊടേണ്ടതിന്നു ചിലര്‍ ശിശുക്കളെയും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ അതുകണ്ടു അവരെ ശാസിച്ചു.
15They were also bringing their babies to him, that he might touch them. But when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them.
16യേശുവോ അവരെ അരികത്തു വിളിച്ചുപൈതങ്ങളെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വരുവാന്‍ വിടുവിന്‍ ; അവരെ തടുക്കരുതു; ദൈവരാജ്യം ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ളവരുടേതു ആകുന്നു.
16Jesus summoned them, saying, “Allow the little children to come to me, and don’t hinder them, for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
17ദൈവരാജ്യത്തെ ശിശുഎന്നപോലെ കൈക്കൊള്ളാത്തവന്‍ ആരും ഒരുനാളും അതില്‍ കടക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17 Most certainly, I tell you, whoever doesn’t receive the Kingdom of God like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
18ഒരു പ്രമാണി അവനോടുനല്ല ഗുരോ, ഞാന്‍ നിത്യജീവനെ അവകാശമാക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
18A certain ruler asked him, saying, “Good Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?”
19അതിന്നു യേശുഎന്നെ നല്ലവന്‍ എന്നു പറയുന്നതു എന്തു? ദൈവം ഒരുവനല്ലാതെ നല്ലവന്‍ ആരും ഇല്ല. വ്യഭിചാരം ചെയ്യരുതു
19Jesus asked him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good, except one—God.
20കുല ചെയ്യരുതു; മോഷ്ടിക്കരുതു; കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം പറയരുതു; നിന്റെ അപ്പനെയും അമ്മയെയും ബഹുമാനിക്ക എന്നീ കല്പനകളെ നീ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
20 You know the commandments: ‘Don’t commit adultery,’ ‘Don’t murder,’ ‘Don’t steal,’ ‘Don’t give false testimony,’ ‘Honor your father and your mother.’” Exodus 20:12-16; Deuteronomy 5:16-20
21ഇവ ഒക്കെയും ഞാന്‍ ചെറുപ്പം മുതല്‍ കാത്തു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതു കേട്ടിട്ടു
21He said, “I have observed all these things from my youth up.”
22യേശുഇനി ഒരു കുറവു നിനക്കുണ്ടു; നിനക്കുള്ളതൊക്കെയും വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രന്മാര്‍ക്കും പകുത്തുകൊടുക്ക; എന്നാല്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ നിനക്കു നിക്ഷേപം ഉണ്ടാകും; പിന്നെ വന്നു എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22When Jesus heard these things, he said to him, “You still lack one thing. Sell all that you have, and distribute it to the poor. You will have treasure in heaven. Come, follow me.”
23അവന്‍ എത്രയും ധനവാനാകകൊണ്ടു ഇതു കേട്ടിട്ടു അതിദുഃഖതിനായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു.
23But when he heard these things, he became very sad, for he was very rich.
24യേശു അവനെ കണ്ടിട്ടുസമ്പത്തുള്ളവര്‍ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില്‍ കടക്കുന്നതു എത്ര പ്രയാസം!
24Jesus, seeing that he became very sad, said, “How hard it is for those who have riches to enter into the Kingdom of God!
25ധനവാന്‍ ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില്‍ കടക്കുന്നതിനെക്കാള്‍ ഒട്ടകം സൂചിക്കുഴയൂടെ കടക്കുന്നതു എളുപ്പം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25 For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle’s eye, than for a rich man to enter into the Kingdom of God.”
26ഇതു കേട്ടവര്‍എന്നാല്‍ രക്ഷിക്കപ്പെടുവാന്‍ ആര്‍ക്കും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26Those who heard it said, “Then who can be saved?”
27അതിന്നു അവന്‍ മനുഷ്യരാല്‍ അസാദ്ധ്യമായതു ദൈവത്താല്‍ സാദ്ധ്യമാകുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
27But he said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.”
28ഇതാ ഞങ്ങള്‍ സ്വന്തമായതു വിട്ടു നിന്നെ അനുഗമിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പത്രൊസ് പറഞ്ഞു.
28Peter said, “Look, we have left everything, and followed you.”
29യേശു അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം നിമിത്തം വീടോ ഭാര്യയെയോ സഹോദരന്മാരെയോ അമ്മയപ്പന്മാരെയോ മക്കളെയോ വിട്ടുകളഞ്ഞിട്ടു
29He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there is no one who has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the Kingdom of God’s sake,
30ഈ കാലത്തില്‍ തന്നേ പല മടങ്ങായും വരുവാനുള്ള ലോകത്തില്‍ നിത്യജീവനെയും പ്രാപിക്കാത്തവന്‍ ആരും ഇല്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളാടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
30 who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the world to come, eternal life.”
31അനന്തരം അവന്‍ പന്തിരുവരെ കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു അവരോടുഇതാ നാം യെരൂശലേമിലേക്കു പോകുന്നു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചു പ്രവാചകന്മാര്‍ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എല്ലാം നിവൃത്തിയാകും.
31He took the twelve aside, and said to them, “Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and all the things that are written through the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be completed.
32അവനെ ജാതികള്‍ക്കു ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കയും അവര്‍ അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു അവമാനിച്ചു തുപ്പി തല്ലീട്ടു കൊല്ലുകയും
32 For he will be delivered up to the Gentiles, will be mocked, treated shamefully, and spit on.
33മൂന്നാം നാള്‍ അവന്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കയും ചെയ്യും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
33 They will scourge and kill him. On the third day, he will rise again.”
34അവരോ ഇതു ഒന്നും ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; ഈ വാക്കു അവര്‍ക്കും മറവായിരുന്നു; പറഞ്ഞതു അവര്‍ തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞതുമില്ല.
34They understood none of these things. This saying was hidden from them, and they didn’t understand the things that were said.
35അവന്‍ യെരീഹോവിന്നു അടുത്തപ്പോള്‍ ഒരു കുരുടന്‍ ഇരന്നുകൊണ്ടു വഴിയരികെ ഇരുന്നിരുന്നു.
35It happened, as he came near Jericho, a certain blind man sat by the road, begging.
36പുരുഷാരം കടന്നു പോകുന്നതു കേട്ടുഇതെന്തു എന്നു അവന്‍ ചോദിച്ചു.
36Hearing a multitude going by, he asked what this meant.
37നസറായനായ യേശു കടന്നുപോകുന്നു എന്നു അവര്‍ അവനോടു അറിയിച്ചു.
37They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by.
38അപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ യേശുവേ, ദാവീദുപുത്രാ, എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചു.
38He cried out, “Jesus, you son of David, have mercy on me!”
39മുന്‍ നടക്കുന്നവര്‍ അവനെ മിണ്ടാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ ശാസിച്ചു; അവനോദിവീദുപുത്രാ എന്നോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു ഏറ്റവും അധികം നിലവിളിച്ചു.
39Those who led the way rebuked him, that he should be quiet; but he cried out all the more, “You son of David, have mercy on me!”
40യേശു നിന്നു, അവനെ തന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരുവാന്‍ കല്പിച്ചു.
40Standing still, Jesus commanded him to be brought to him. When he had come near, he asked him,
41ഞാന്‍ നിനക്കു എന്തു ചെയ്യേണം എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു. കര്‍ത്താവേ, എനിക്കു കാഴ്ച കിട്ടേണം എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
41 “What do you want me to do?” He said, “Lord, that I may see again.”
42യേശു അവനോടുകാഴ്ച പ്രാപിക്ക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
42Jesus said to him, “Receive your sight. Your faith has healed you.”
43ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ അവന്‍ കാഴ്ച പ്രാപിച്ചു ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വീകരിച്ചും കൊണ്ടു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു; ജനം എല്ലാം കണ്ടിട്ടു ദൈവത്തിന്നു പുകഴ്ച കൊടുത്തു.
43Immediately he received his sight, and followed him, glorifying God. All the people, when they saw it, praised God.
