1അവര്‍ യെരൂശലേമിനോടു സമീപിച്ചു ഒലീവ് മലയരികെ ബേത്ത്ഫാഗയിലും ബേഥാന്യയിലും എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരില്‍ രണ്ടുപേരെ അയച്ചു അവരോടു
1When they drew near to Jerusalem, to Bethsphage TR & NU read “Bethphage” instead of “Bethsphage” and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,
2നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എതിരെയുള്ള ഗ്രാമത്തില്‍ ചെല്ലുവിന്‍ ; അതില്‍ കടന്നാല്‍ ഉടനെ ആരും ഒരിക്കലും കയറീട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരു കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കാണും; അതിനെ അഴിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുവരുവില്‍.
2and said to them, “Go your way into the village that is opposite you. Immediately as you enter into it, you will find a young donkey tied, on which no one has sat. Untie him, and bring him.
3ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ആരെങ്കിലും നിങ്ങളോടു ചോദിച്ചാല്‍ കര്‍ത്താവിന്നു ഇതിനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു പറവിന്‍ ; അവന്‍ ക്ഷണത്തില്‍ അതിനെ ഇങ്ങോട്ടു അയക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
3 If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs him;’ and immediately he will send him back here.”
4അവര്‍ പോയി തെരുവില്‍ പുറത്തു വാതില്‍ക്കല്‍ കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ കെട്ടിയിരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു അതിനെ അഴിച്ചു.
4They went away, and found a young donkey tied at the door outside in the open street, and they untied him.
5അവിടെ നിന്നവരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ അഴിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
5Some of those who stood there asked them, “What are you doing, untying the young donkey?”
6യേശു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ അവര്‍ അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവര്‍ അവരെ വിട്ടയച്ചു.
6They said to them just as Jesus had said, and they let them go.
7അവര്‍ കഴുതകൂട്ടിയെ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം അതിന്മേല്‍ ഇട്ടു; അവന്‍ അതിന്മേല്‍ കയറി ഇരുന്നു.
7They brought the young donkey to Jesus, and threw their garments on it, and Jesus sat on it.
8അനേകര്‍ തങ്ങളുടെ വസ്ത്രം വഴിയില്‍ വിരിച്ചു; മറ്റു ചിലര്‍ പറമ്പുകളില്‍ നിന്നു ചില്ലിക്കൊമ്പു വെട്ടി വഴിയില്‍ വിതറി.
8Many spread their garments on the way, and others were cutting down branches from the trees, and spreading them on the road.
9മുമ്പും പിമ്പും നടക്കുന്നവര്‍ഹോശന്നാ, കര്‍ത്താവിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ വരുന്നവന്‍ വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെട്ടവന്‍
9Those who went in front, and those who followed, cried out, “Hosanna “Hosanna” means “save us” or “help us, we pray.” ! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Psalm 118:25-26
10വരുന്നതായ രാജ്യം, നമ്മുടെ പിതാവായ ദാവീദിന്റെ രാജ്യം വാഴ്ത്തപ്പെടുമാറാകട്ടെ; അത്യുന്നതങ്ങളില്‍ ഹോശന്നാ എന്നു ആര്‍ത്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
10Blessed is the kingdom of our father David that is coming in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
11അവന്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തിലേക്കു ചെന്നു സകലവും ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയ ശേഷം നേരം വൈകിയതുകൊണ്ടു പന്തിരുവരോടും കൂടെ ബേഥാന്യയിലേക്കു പോയി.
11Jesus entered into the temple in Jerusalem. When he had looked around at everything, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.
12പിറ്റെന്നാള്‍ അവര്‍ ബേഥാന്യ വിട്ടു പോരുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്നു വിശന്നു;
12The next day, when they had come out from Bethany, he was hungry.
13അവന്‍ ഇലയുള്ളോരു അത്തിവൃക്ഷം ദൂരത്തുനിന്നു കണ്ടു, അതില്‍ വല്ലതും കണ്ടുകിട്ടുമോ എന്നു വെച്ചു ചെന്നു, അതിന്നരികെ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ഇല അല്ലാതെ ഒന്നും കണ്ടില്ല; അതു അത്തിപ്പഴത്തിന്റെ കാലമല്ലാഞ്ഞു.
13Seeing a fig tree afar off having leaves, he came to see if perhaps he might find anything on it. When he came to it, he found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.
14അവന്‍ അതിനോടു; ഇനി നിങ്കല്‍നിന്നു എന്നേക്കും ആരും ഫലം തിന്നാതിരിക്കട്ടെ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അതു ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ കേട്ടു.
14Jesus told it, “May no one ever eat fruit from you again!” and his disciples heard it.
15അവര്‍ യെരൂശലേമില്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ കടന്നു, ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ വിലക്കുന്നവരെയും വാങ്ങുന്നവരെയും പുറത്താക്കിത്തുടങ്ങി; പൊന്‍ വാണിഭക്കാരുടെ മേശകളെയും പ്രാക്കളെ വിലക്കുന്നവരുടെ പീഠങ്ങളെയും മറിച്ചിട്ടു കളഞ്ഞു;
15They came to Jerusalem, and Jesus entered into the temple, and began to throw out those who sold and those who bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of those who sold the doves.
16ആരും ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍കൂടി ഒരു വസ്തുവും കൊണ്ടു പോകുവാന്‍ സമ്മതിച്ചില്ല.
16He would not allow anyone to carry a container through the temple.
17പിന്നെ അവരെ ഉപദേശിച്ചുഎന്റെ ആലയം സകല ജാതികള്‍ക്കും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനാലയം എന്നു വിളിക്കപ്പെടും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നില്ലയൊ? നിങ്ങളോ അതിനെ കള്ളന്മാരുടെ ഗുഹയാക്കിത്തീര്‍ത്തു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
17He taught, saying to them, “Isn’t it written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer for all the nations?’ Isaiah 56:7 But you have made it a den of robbers!” Jeremiah 7:11
18അതു കേട്ടിട്ടു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതു എങ്ങനെ എന്നു അന്വേഷിച്ചു. പുരുഷാരം എല്ലാം അവന്റെ ഉപദേശത്തില്‍ അതിശയിക്കയാല്‍ അവര്‍ അവനെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
18The chief priests and the scribes heard it, and sought how they might destroy him. For they feared him, because all the multitude was astonished at his teaching.
19സന്ധ്യായാകുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ നഗരം വിട്ടു പോകും.
19When evening came, he went out of the city.
20രാവിലെ അവര്‍ കടന്നുപോരുമ്പോള്‍ അത്തിവൃക്ഷം വേരോടെ ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയതു കണ്ടു.
20As they passed by in the morning, they saw the fig tree withered away from the roots.
21അപ്പോള്‍ പത്രൊസിന്നു ഔര്‍മ്മവന്നുറബ്ബീ, നീ ശപിച്ച അത്തി ഉണങ്ങിപ്പോയല്ലോ എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
21Peter, remembering, said to him, “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which you cursed has withered away.”
22യേശു അവരോടു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതുദൈവത്തില്‍ വിശ്വാസമുള്ളവര്‍ ആയിരിപ്പിന്‍ .
22Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God.
23ആരെങ്കിലും തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ സംശയിക്കാതെ താന്‍ പറയുന്നതു സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു ഈ മലയോടുനീ നീങ്ങി കടലില്‍ ചാടിപ്പോക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ സംഭവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
23 For most certainly I tell you, whoever may tell this mountain, ‘Be taken up and cast into the sea,’ and doesn’t doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says is happening; he shall have whatever he says.
24അതുകൊണ്ടു നിങ്ങള്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ യാചിക്കുന്നതൊക്കെയും ലഭിച്ചു എന്നു വിശ്വസിപ്പിന്‍ ; എന്നാല്‍ അതു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഉണ്ടാകും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
24 Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.
25നിങ്ങള്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിപ്പാന്‍ നിലക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിഴകളെയും ക്ഷമിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ആരോടെങ്കിലും വല്ലതും ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അവനോടു ക്ഷമിപ്പിന്‍ .
25 Whenever you stand praying, forgive, if you have anything against anyone; so that your Father, who is in heaven, may also forgive you your transgressions.
26നിങ്ങള്‍ ക്ഷമിക്കാഞ്ഞാലോ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗസ്ഥനായ നിങ്ങളുടെ പിതാവു നിങ്ങളുടെ പിഴകളെയും ക്ഷമിക്കയില്ല.
26 But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your transgressions.”
27അവര്‍ പിന്നെയും യെരൂശലേമില്‍ ചെന്നു. അവന്‍ ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ചുറ്റി നടക്കുമ്പോള്‍ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു; 28 നീ എന്തു അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നും ഇതു ചെയ്‍വാനുള്ള അധികാരം നിനക്കു തന്നതു ആര്‍ എന്നും അവനോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
27They came again to Jerusalem, and as he was walking in the temple, the chief priests, and the scribes, and the elders came to him,
28യേശു അവരോടുഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു ഒരു വാക്കു ചോദിക്കും; അതിന്നു ഉത്തരം പറവിന്‍ ; എന്നാല്‍ ഇന്ന അധികാരംകൊണ്ടു ഇതു ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു ഞാനും നിങ്ങളോടു പറയും.
28and they began saying to him, “By what authority do you do these things? Or who gave you this authority to do these things?”
29യോഹന്നാന്റെ സ്നാനം സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നോ മനുഷ്യരില്‍നിന്നോ ഉണ്ടായതു? എന്നോടു ഉത്തരം പറവിന്‍ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
29Jesus said to them, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things.
30അവര്‍ തമ്മില്‍ ആലോചിച്ചുസ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ പിന്നെ നിങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ വിശ്വസിക്കാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു അവന്‍ പറയും.
30 The baptism of John—was it from heaven, or from men? Answer me.”
31മനുഷ്യരില്‍ നിന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞാലോ-എല്ലാവരും യോഹന്നാനെ സാക്ഷാല്‍ പ്രവാചകന്‍ എന്നു എണ്ണുകകൊണ്ടു അവര്‍ ജനത്തെ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
31They reasoned with themselves, saying, “If we should say, ‘From heaven;’ he will say, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’
32അങ്ങനെ അവര്‍ യേശുവിനോടുഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അറിഞ്ഞുകൂടാ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു. എന്നാല്‍ ഞാനും ഇതു ഇന്ന അധികാരം കൊണ്ടു ചെയ്യുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നില്ല എന്നു യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
32If we should say, ‘From men’”—they feared the people, for all held John to really be a prophet.
33They answered Jesus, “We don’t know.” Jesus said to them, “Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things.”
