1പിന്നെ അവന്‍ അവരോടുദൈവരാജ്യം ശക്തിയോടെ വരുന്നതു കാണുവോളം മരണം ആസ്വദിക്കാത്തവര്‍ ചിലര്‍ ഈ നിലക്കുന്നവരില്‍ ഉണ്ടു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
1He said to them, “Most certainly I tell you, there are some standing here who will in no way taste death until they see the Kingdom of God come with power.”
2ആറു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം യേശു പത്രൊസിനെയും യാക്കോബിനെയും യോഹന്നാനെയും കൂട്ടി ഒരു ഉയര്‍ന്ന മലയിലേക്കു തനിച്ചു കൊണ്ടുപോയി അവരുടെ മുമ്പാകെ രൂപാന്തരപ്പെട്ടു.
2After six days Jesus took with him Peter, James, and John, and brought them up onto a high mountain privately by themselves, and he was changed into another form in front of them.
3ഭൂമിയില്‍ ഒരു അലക്കുകാരന്നും വെളുപ്പിപ്പാന്‍ കഴിയാതെവണ്ണം അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അത്യന്തം വെളുപ്പായി തിളങ്ങി.
3His clothing became glistening, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth can whiten them.
4അപ്പോള്‍ ഏലീയാവും മോശെയും അവര്‍ക്കും പ്രത്യക്ഷമായി യേശുവിനോടു സംഭാഷിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരുന്നു.
4Elijah and Moses appeared to them, and they were talking with Jesus.
5പത്രൊസ് യേശുവിനോടുറബ്ബീ നാം ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നതു നല്ലതു; ഞങ്ങള്‍ മൂന്നു കുടില്‍ ഉണ്ടാക്കട്ടെ; ഒന്നു നിനക്കും ഒന്നു മോശെക്കും ഒന്നു ഏലീയാവിന്നും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5Peter answered Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good for us to be here. Let’s make three tents: one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.”
6താന്‍ എന്തു പറയേണ്ടു എന്നു അവന്‍ അറിഞ്ഞില്ല; അവര്‍ ഭയപരവശരായിരുന്നു.
6For he didn’t know what to say, for they were very afraid.
7പിന്നെ ഒരു മേഘം വന്നു അവരുടെ മേല്‍ നിഴലിട്ടുഇവന്‍ എന്റെ പ്രിയ പുത്രന്‍ ; ഇവന്നു ചെവികൊടുപ്പിന്‍ എന്നു മേഘത്തില്‍ നിന്നു ഒരു ശബ്ദവും ഉണ്ടായി.
7A cloud came, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son. Listen to him.”
8പെട്ടെന്നു അവര്‍ ചുറ്റും നോക്കിയാറെ തങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ യേശുവിനെ മാത്രം അല്ലാതെ ആരെയും കണ്ടില്ല.
8Suddenly looking around, they saw no one with them any more, except Jesus only.
9അവര്‍ മലയില്‍ നിന്നു ഇറങ്ങുമ്പോള്‍മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ മരിച്ചവരില്‍ നിന്നു എഴുന്നേറ്റിട്ടല്ലാതെ ഈ കണ്ടതു ആരോടും അറിയിക്കരുതു എന്നു അവന്‍ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചു.
9As they were coming down from the mountain, he commanded them that they should tell no one what things they had seen, until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
10മരിച്ചവരില്‍ നിന്നു എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്ക എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു തമ്മില്‍ തര്‍ക്കിച്ചുംകൊണ്ടു അവര്‍ ആ വാക്കു ഉള്ളില്‍ സംഗ്രഹിച്ചു;
10They kept this saying to themselves, questioning what the “rising from the dead” meant.
11ഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വരേണ്ടതു എന്നു ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്‍ വാദിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു അവര്‍ ചോദിച്ചു.
11They asked him, saying, “Why do the scribes say that Elijah must come first?”
12അതിന്നു യേശുഏന്നഏലീയാവു മുമ്പെ വന്നു സകലവും യഥാസ്ഥാനത്താക്കുന്നു സത്യം; എന്നാല്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെക്കുറിച്ചുഅവന്‍ വളരെ കഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും ധിക്കരിക്കപ്പെടുകയും ചെയ്യേണ്ടിവരും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതു എങ്ങനെ?
12He said to them, “Elijah indeed comes first, and restores all things. How is it written about the Son of Man, that he should suffer many things and be despised?
13ഏലീയാവു വന്നു; അവനെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ അവര്‍ തങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തോന്നിയതു എല്ലാം അവനോടു ചെയ്തു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
13 But I tell you that Elijah has come, and they have also done to him whatever they wanted to, even as it is written about him.”
14അവന്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കെ വന്നാറെ വലിയ പുരുഷാരം അവരെ ചുറ്റി നിലക്കുന്നതും ശാസ്ത്രിമാര്‍ അവരോടു തര്‍ക്കിക്കുന്നതും കണ്ടു.
14Coming to the disciples, he saw a great multitude around them, and scribes questioning them.
15പുരുഷാരം അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ഭ്രമിച്ചു ഔടിവന്നു അവനെ വന്ദിച്ചു.
15Immediately all the multitude, when they saw him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.
16അവന്‍ അവരോടുനിങ്ങള്‍ അവരുമായി തര്‍ക്കിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
16He asked the scribes, “What are you asking them?”
17അതിന്നു പുരുഷാരത്തില്‍ ഒരുത്തന്‍ ഗുരോ, ഊമനായ ആത്മാവുള്ള എന്റെ മകനെ ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
17One of the multitude answered, “Teacher, I brought to you my son, who has a mute spirit;
18അതു അവനെ എവിടെവെച്ചു പിടിച്ചാലും അവനെ തള്ളിയിടുന്നു; പിന്നെ അവന്‍ നുരെച്ചു പല്ലുകടിച്ചു വരണ്ടുപോകുന്നു. അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു പറഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവര്‍ക്കും കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
18and wherever it seizes him, it throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and grinds his teeth, and wastes away. I asked your disciples to cast it out, and they weren’t able.”
19അവന്‍ അവരോടുഅവിശ്വാസമുള്ള തലമുറയേ, എത്രത്തോളം ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു കൂടെ ഇരിക്കും? എത്രത്തോളം നിങ്ങളെ പൊറുക്കും? അവനെ എന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവരുവിന്‍ എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
19He answered him, “Unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him to me.”
20അവര്‍ അവനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു. അവനെ കണ്ട ഉടനെ ആത്മാവു അവനെ ഇഴെച്ചു; അവന്‍ നിലത്തു വീണു നുരെച്ചുരുണ്ടു.
20They brought him to him, and when he saw him, immediately the spirit convulsed him, and he fell on the ground, wallowing and foaming at the mouth.
21ഇതു അവന്നു സംഭവിച്ചിട്ടു എത്ര കാലമായി എന്നു അവന്റെ അപ്പനോടു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നു അവന്‍ ചെറുപ്പംമുതല്‍ തന്നേ.
21He asked his father, “How long has it been since this has come to him?” He said, “From childhood.
22അതു അവനെ നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു പലപ്പോഴും തീയിലും വെള്ളത്തിലും തള്ളിയിട്ടിട്ടുണ്ടു; നിന്നാല്‍ വല്ലതും കഴിയും എങ്കില്‍ മനസ്സല്ലിഞ്ഞു ഞങ്ങളെ സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല്‍ കഴിയും എങ്കില്‍ എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
22Often it has cast him both into the fire and into the water, to destroy him. But if you can do anything, have compassion on us, and help us.”
23യേശു അവനോടുനിന്നാല്‍ കഴിയും എങ്കില്‍ എന്നോ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവന്നു സകലവും കഴിയും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
23Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
24ബാലന്റെ അപ്പന്‍ ഉടനെ നിലവിളിച്ചുകര്‍ത്താവേ, ഞാന്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അവിശ്വാസത്തിനു സഹായിക്കേണമേ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
24Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”
25എന്നാറെ പുരുഷാരം ഔടിക്കൂടുന്നതു യേശു കണ്ടിട്ടു അശുദ്ധാത്മാവിനെ ശാസിച്ചുഊമനും ചെകിടനുമായ ആത്മാവേ, ഇവനെ വിട്ടു പോ; ഇനി അവനില്‍ കടക്കരുതു എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിന്നോടു കല്പിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
25When Jesus saw that a multitude came running together, he rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You mute and deaf spirit, I command you, come out of him, and never enter him again!”
26അപ്പോള്‍ അതു നിലവിളിച്ചു അവനെ വളരെ ഇഴെച്ചു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി. മരിച്ചുപോയി എന്നു പലരും പറവാന്‍ തക്കവണ്ണം അവന്‍ മരിച്ച പോലെ ആയി.
26Having cried out, and convulsed greatly, it came out of him. The boy became like one dead; so much that most of them said, “He is dead.”
27യേശു അവനെ കൈകൂ പിടിച്ചു നിവര്‍ത്തി, അവന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു.
27But Jesus took him by the hand, and raised him up; and he arose.
28വീട്ടില്‍ വന്നശേഷം ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ സ്വകാര്യമായി അവനോടുഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു അതിനെ പുറത്താക്കുവാന്‍ കഴിയാഞ്ഞതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
28When he had come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, “Why couldn’t we cast it out?”
29പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥനയാല്‍ അല്ലാതെ ഈ ജാതി ഒന്നിനാലും പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോകയില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
29He said to them, “This kind can come out by nothing, except by prayer and fasting.”
30അവിടെ നിന്നു അവര്‍ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ഗലീലയില്‍ കൂടി സഞ്ചരിച്ചു; അതു ആരും അറിയരുതെന്നു അവന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചു.
30They went out from there, and passed through Galilee. He didn’t want anyone to know it.
31അവന്‍ തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരെ പഠിപ്പിച്ചു അവരോടുമനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ മനുഷ്യരുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടും; അവര്‍ അവനെ കൊല്ലും; കൊന്നിട്ടു മൂന്നു നാള്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞ ശേഷം അവന്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേലക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
31For he was teaching his disciples, and said to them, “The Son of Man is being handed over to the hands of men, and they will kill him; and when he is killed, on the third day he will rise again.”
32ആ വാക്കു അവര്‍ ഗ്രഹിച്ചില്ല; അവനോടു ചോദിപ്പാനോ ഭയപ്പെട്ടു.
32But they didn’t understand the saying, and were afraid to ask him.
33അവന്‍ കഫര്‍ന്നഹൂമില്‍ വന്നു വീട്ടില്‍ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍നിങ്ങള്‍ വഴിയില്‍വെച്ചു തമ്മില്‍ വാദിച്ചതു എന്തു എന്നു അവരോടു ചോദിച്ചു.
33He came to Capernaum, and when he was in the house he asked them, “What were you arguing among yourselves on the way?”
34അവരോ തങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ വലിയവന്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നു വഴിയില്‍വെച്ചു വാദിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു.
34But they were silent, for they had disputed one with another on the way about who was the greatest.
35അവന്‍ ഇരുന്നു പന്തിരുവരെയും വിളിച്ചുഒരുവന്‍ മുമ്പന്‍ ആകുവാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിച്ചാല്‍ അവന്‍ എല്ലാവരിലും ഒടുക്കത്തവനും എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ശുശ്രൂഷകനും ആകേണം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
35He sat down, and called the twelve; and he said to them, “If any man wants to be first, he shall be last of all, and servant of all.”
36ഒരു ശിശുവിനെ എടുത്തു അവരുടെ നടുവില്‍ നിറുത്തി അണെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അവരോടു
36He took a little child, and set him in their midst. Taking him in his arms, he said to them,
37ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള ശിശുക്കളില്‍ ഒന്നിനെ എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവന്‍ എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു; എന്നെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നവനോ എന്നെയല്ല എന്നെ അയച്ചവനെ കൈക്കൊള്ളുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
37 “Whoever receives one such little child in my name, receives me, and whoever receives me, doesn’t receive me, but him who sent me.”
38യോഹന്നാന്‍ അവനോടുഗുരോ, ഒരുവന്‍ നിന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നതു ഞങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടു; അവന്‍ നമ്മെ അനുഗമിക്കായ്കയാല്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ അവനെ വിരോധിച്ചു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
38John said to him, “Teacher, we saw someone who doesn’t follow us casting out demons in your name; and we forbade him, because he doesn’t follow us.”
39അതിന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞതുഅവനെ വിരോധിക്കരുതു; എന്റെ നാമത്തില്‍ ഒരു വീര്യപ്രവൃത്തി ചെയ്തിട്ടു വേഗത്തില്‍ എന്നെ ദുഷിച്ചുപറവാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നവന്‍ ആരും ഇല്ല.
39But Jesus said, “Don’t forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
40നമുക്കു പ്രതിക്കുലമല്ലാത്തവന്‍ നമുക്കു അനുകൂലമല്ലോ.
40 For whoever is not against us is on our side.
41നിങ്ങള്‍ ക്രിസ്തുവിന്നുള്ളവര്‍ എന്നീ നാമത്തില്‍ ആരെങ്കിലും ഒരു പാനപാത്രം വെള്ളം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കുടിപ്പാന്‍ തന്നാല്‍ അവന്നു പ്രതിഫലം കിട്ടാതിരിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു.
41 For whoever will give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because you are Christ’s, most certainly I tell you, he will in no way lose his reward.
42എങ്കല്‍ വിശ്വസിക്കുന്ന ഈ ചെറിയവരില്‍ ഒരുത്തന്നു ഇടര്‍ച്ചവരുത്തുന്നവന്റെ കഴുത്തില്‍ വലിയോരു തിരികല്ലു കെട്ടി അവനെ കടലില്‍ ഇട്ടുകളയുന്നതു അവന്നു ഏറെ നല്ലു.
42 Whoever will cause one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him if he were thrown into the sea with a millstone hung around his neck.
43നിന്റെ കൈ നിനക്കു ഇടര്‍ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല്‍ അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക
43 If your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into Gehenna, or, Hell into the unquenchable fire,
44മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില്‍ കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കയ്യുമുള്ളവന്‍ ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില്‍ പോകുന്നതിനെക്കാള്‍ നിനക്കു നല്ലു.
44 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
45നിന്റെ കാല്‍ നിനക്കു ഇടര്‍ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല്‍ അതിനെ വെട്ടിക്കളക
45 If your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life lame, rather than having your two feet to be cast into Gehenna, or, Hell into the fire that will never be quenched—
46മുടന്തനായി ജീവനില്‍ കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടു കാലുമുള്ളവന്‍ ആയി കെടാത്ത തീയായ നരകത്തില്‍ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള്‍ നിനക്കു നല്ലു.
46 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’
47നിന്റെ കണ്ണു നിനക്കു ഇടര്‍ച്ച വരുത്തിയാല്‍ അതിനെ ചൂന്നുകളക; ഒറ്റക്കണ്ണനായി ദൈവരാജ്യത്തില്‍ കടക്കുന്നതു രണ്ടുകണ്ണുള്ളവനായി അഗ്നിനരകത്തില്‍ വീഴുന്നതിനെക്കാള്‍ നിനക്കു നല്ലു.
47 If your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out. It is better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into the Gehenna or, Hell of fire,
48അവിടെ അവരുടെ പുഴു ചാകുന്നില്ല. തീ കെടുന്നതുമില്ല.
48 ‘where their worm doesn’t die, and the fire is not quenched.’ Isaiah 66:24
49എല്ലാവന്നും തീകൊണ്ടു ഉപ്പിടും.
49 For everyone will be salted with fire, and every sacrifice will be seasoned with salt.
50ഉപ്പു നല്ലതു തന്നേ; ഉപ്പു കാരമില്ലാതെ പോയാലോ എന്തൊന്നിനാല്‍ അതിന്നു രസം വരുത്തും? നിങ്ങളില്‍ തന്നേ ഉപ്പുള്ളവരും അന്യോന്യം സമാധാനമുള്ളവരും ആയിരിപ്പിന്‍ .
50 Salt is good, but if the salt has lost its saltiness, with what will you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace with one another.”
