1ഈ വചനങ്ങള്‍ ഒക്കെയും പറഞ്ഞു തീര്‍ന്നശേഷം യേശു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു
1It happened, when Jesus had finished all these words, that he said to his disciples,
2“രണ്ടു ദിവസം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു പെസഹ ആകുന്നു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ അറിയുന്നുവല്ലോ; അന്നു മനുഷ്യ പുത്രനെ ക്രൂശിപ്പാന്‍ ഏല്പിക്കും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
2 “You know that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Man will be delivered up to be crucified.”
3അന്നു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും കയ്യഫാമഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ മണ്ഡപത്തില്‍ വന്നു കൂടി.
3Then the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders of the people were gathered together in the court of the high priest, who was called Caiaphas.
4യേശുവിനെ ഉപായത്താല്‍ പിടിച്ചു കൊല്ലുവാന്‍ ആലോചിച്ചു;
4They took counsel together that they might take Jesus by deceit, and kill him.
5എങ്കിലും ജനത്തില്‍ കലഹമുണ്ടാകാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ പെരുനാളില്‍ അരുതു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
5But they said, “Not during the feast, lest a riot occur among the people.”
6യേശു ബേഥാന്യയില്‍ കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായിരുന്ന ശീമോന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍
6Now when Jesus was in Bethany, in the house of Simon the leper,
7ഒരു സ്ത്രീ വിലയേറിയ പരിമളതൈലം നിറഞ്ഞ ഒരു വെണ്കല്‍ഭരണി എടുത്തുംകൊണ്ടു അവന്റെ അടുക്കെ വന്നു, അവന്‍ പന്തിയില്‍ ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അതു അവന്റെ തലയില്‍ ഒഴിച്ചു.
7a woman came to him having an alabaster jar of very expensive ointment, and she poured it on his head as he sat at the table.
8ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ അതു കണ്ടിട്ടു മുഷിഞ്ഞുഈ വെറും ചെലവു എന്തിന്നു?
8But when his disciples saw this, they were indignant, saying, “Why this waste?
9ഇതു വളരെ വിലെക്കു വിറ്റു ദരിദ്രര്‍ക്കും കൊടുക്കാമായിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
9For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to the poor.”
10യേശു അതു അറിഞ്ഞു അവരോടു“സ്ത്രീയെ അസഹ്യപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതു എന്തു? അവള്‍ എങ്കല്‍ നല്ല പ്രവൃത്തിയല്ലോ ചെയ്തതു.
10However, knowing this, Jesus said to them, “Why do you trouble the woman? Because she has done a good work for me.
11ദരിദ്രര്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എല്ലായ്പോഴും അടുക്കെ ഉണ്ടു; ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എല്ലായ്പേഴും ഇല്ലതാനും.
11 For you always have the poor with you; but you don’t always have me.
12അവള്‍ ഈ തൈലം എന്റെ ദേഹത്തിന്മേല്‍ ഒഴിച്ചതു എന്റെ ശവസംസ്ക്കാരത്തിന്നായി ചെയ്തതാകുന്നു.
12 For in pouring this ointment on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial.
13ലോകത്തില്‍ എങ്ങും, ഈ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിക്കുന്നേടത്തെല്ലാം, അവള്‍ ചെയ്തതും അവളുടെ ഔര്‍മ്മെക്കായി പ്രസ്താവിക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
13 Most certainly I tell you, wherever this Good News is preached in the whole world, what this woman has done will also be spoken of as a memorial of her.”
14അന്നു പന്തിരുവരില്‍ ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദാ ഈസ്കര്‍യ്യോത്താവു മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നു
14Then one of the twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot, went to the chief priests,
15നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്തു തരും? ഞാന്‍ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുതരാം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞുഅവര്‍ അവന്നു മുപ്പതു വെള്ളിക്കാശു തൂക്കിക്കൊടുത്തു.
15and said, “What are you willing to give me, that I should deliver him to you?” They weighed out for him thirty pieces of silver.
16അന്നു മുതല്‍ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുപ്പാന്‍ അവന്‍ തക്കം അന്വേഷിച്ചു പോന്നു.
16From that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
17പുളിപ്പില്ലാത്ത അപ്പത്തിന്റെ ഒന്നാം നാളില്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നുനീ പെസഹ കഴിപ്പാന്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ ഒരുക്കേണ്ടതു എവിടെ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
17Now on the first day of unleavened bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying to him, “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”
18അതിന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞതു“നിങ്ങള്‍ നഗരത്തില്‍ ഇന്നവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ചെന്നുഎന്റെ സമയം അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ എന്റെ ശിഷ്യരുമായി നിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ പെസഹ കഴിക്കും എന്നു ഗുരു പറയുന്നു എന്നു പറവിന്‍.”
18He said, “Go into the city to a certain person, and tell him, ‘The Teacher says, “My time is at hand. I will keep the Passover at your house with my disciples.”’”
19ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ യേശു കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ചെയ്തു പെസഹ ഒരുക്കി.
19The disciples did as Jesus commanded them, and they prepared the Passover.
20സന്ധ്യയായപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുകൂടെ പന്തിയില്‍ ഇരുന്നു.
20Now when evening had come, he was reclining at the table with the twelve disciples.
21അവര്‍ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍“നിങ്ങളില്‍ ഒരുവന്‍ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
21As they were eating, he said, “Most certainly I tell you that one of you will betray me.”
22അപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അത്യന്തം ദുഃഖിച്ചുഞാനോ, ഞാനോ, കര്‍ത്താവേ, എന്നു ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ പറഞ്ഞുതുടങ്ങി.
22They were exceedingly sorrowful, and each began to ask him, “It isn’t me, is it, Lord?”
23അവന്‍ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞതു“എന്നോടുകൂടെ കൈ താലത്തില്‍ മുക്കുന്നവന്‍ തന്നേ എന്നെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കും.
23He answered, “He who dipped his hand with me in the dish, the same will betray me.
24തന്നെക്കുറിച്ചു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ മനുഷ്യ പുത്രന്‍ പോകുന്നു സത്യം; മനുഷ്യപുത്രനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യന്നോ ഹാ കഷ്ടം; ആ മനുഷ്യന്‍ ജനിക്കാതിരുന്നു എങ്കില്‍ അവന്നു കൊള്ളായിരുന്നു.”
24 The Son of Man goes, even as it is written of him, but woe to that man through whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would be better for that man if he had not been born.”
25എന്നാറെ അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്ന യൂദാഞാനോ, റബ്ബീ, എന്നു പറഞ്ഞതിന്നു“നീ തന്നേ” എന്നു അവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.
25Judas, who betrayed him, answered, “It isn’t me, is it, Rabbi?” He said to him, “You said it.”
26അവര്‍ ഭക്ഷിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ യേശു അപ്പം എടുത്തു വാഴ്ത്തി നുറുക്കി ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ക്കും കൊടുത്തു“വാങ്ങി ഭക്ഷിപ്പിന്‍; ഇതു എന്റെ ശരീരം” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
26As they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks for TR reads “blessed” instead of “gave thanks for” it, and broke it. He gave to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
27പിന്നെ പാനപാത്രം എടുത്തു സ്തോത്രം ചൊല്ലി അവര്‍ക്കും കൊടുത്തു“എല്ലാവരും ഇതില്‍ നിന്നു കുടിപ്പിന്‍.
27He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, “All of you drink it,
28ഇതു അനേകര്‍ക്കുംവേണ്ടി പാപമോചനത്തിന്നായി ചൊരിയുന്ന പുതിയ നിയമത്തിന്നുള്ള എന്റെ രക്തം; എന്റെ പിതാവിന്റെ രാജ്യത്തില്‍ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ പുതുതായി കുടിക്കുംനാള്‍വരെ ഞാന്‍ മുന്തിരിവള്ളിയുടെ ഈ അനുഭവത്തില്‍ നിന്നു ഇനി കുടിക്കയില്ല എന്നു ഞാന്‍ നിങ്ങളോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
28 for this is my blood of the new covenant, which is poured out for many for the remission of sins.
29പിന്നെ അവര്‍ സ്തോത്രം പാടിയശേഷം ഒലീവ് മലെക്കു പുറപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.
29 But I tell you that I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on, until that day when I drink it anew with you in my Father’s Kingdom.”
30യേശു അവരോടു“ഈ രാത്രിയില്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാവരും എങ്കല്‍ ഇടറും; ഞാന്‍ ഇടയനെ വെട്ടും; കൂട്ടത്തിലെ ആടുകള്‍ ചിതറിപ്പോകും എന്നു എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.
30When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
31എന്നാല്‍ ഞാന്‍ ഉയിര്‍ത്തെഴുന്നേറ്റശേഷം നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു മുമ്പായി ഗലീലെക്കു പോകും.”
31Then Jesus said to them, “All of you will be made to stumble because of me tonight, for it is written, ‘I will strike the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.’ Zechariah 13:7
32അതിന്നു പത്രൊസ്; എല്ലാവരും നിങ്കല്‍ ഇടറിയാലും ഞാന്‍ ഒരുനാളും ഇടറുകയില്ല എന്നു ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
32 But after I am raised up, I will go before you into Galilee.”
33യേശു അവനോടു“ഈ രാത്രിയില്‍ കോഴി ക്കുകുംമുമ്പെ നീ മൂന്നുവട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ സത്യമായിട്ടു നിന്നോടു പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
33But Peter answered him, “Even if all will be made to stumble because of you, I will never be made to stumble.”
34നിന്നോടു കൂടെ മരിക്കേണ്ടിവന്നാലും ഞാന്‍ നിന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറകയില്ല എന്നു പത്രൊസ് അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു. അതുപോലെ തന്നേ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ എല്ലാവരും പറഞ്ഞു.
34Jesus said to him, “Most certainly I tell you that tonight, before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.”
35അനന്തരം യേശു അവരുമായി ഗെത്ത് ശെമന എന്ന തോട്ടത്തില്‍ വന്നു ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു“ഞാന്‍ അവിടെ പോയി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു വരുവോളം ഇവിടെ ഇരിപ്പിന്‍” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു,
35Peter said to him, “Even if I must die with you, I will not deny you.” All of the disciples also said likewise.
36പത്രൊസിനെയും സെബെദി പുത്രന്മാര്‍ ഇരുവരെയും കൂട്ടിക്കൊണ്ടു ചെന്നു ദുഃഖിച്ചും വ്യാകുലപ്പെട്ടും തുടങ്ങി
36Then Jesus came with them to a place called Gethsemane, and said to his disciples, “Sit here, while I go there and pray.”
37“എന്റെ ഉള്ളം മരണവേദനപോലെ അതിദുഃഖിതമായിരിക്കുന്നു; ഇവിടെ താമസിച്ചു എന്നോടുകൂടെ ഉണര്‍ന്നിരിപ്പിന്‍” എന്നു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞു.
37He took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and severely troubled.
38പിന്നെ അവന്‍ അല്പം മുമ്പോട്ടുചെന്നു കവിണ്ണുവീണു“പിതാവേ, കഴിയും എങ്കില്‍ ഈ പാനപാത്രം എങ്കല്‍ നിന്നു നീങ്ങിപ്പോകേണമേ; എങ്കിലും ഞാന്‍ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ അല്ല, നീ ഇച്ഛിക്കുംപോലെ ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
38Then he said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here, and watch with me.”
39പിന്നെ അവന്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു, അവര്‍ ഉറങ്ങുന്നതു കണ്ടു, പത്രൊസിനോടു“എന്നോടു കൂടെ ഒരു നാഴികപോലും ഉണര്‍ന്നിരിപ്പാന്‍ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു കഴിഞ്ഞില്ലയോ?
39He went forward a little, fell on his face, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I desire, but what you desire.”
40പരീക്ഷയില്‍ അകപ്പെടാതിരിപ്പാന്‍ ഉണര്‍ന്നിരുന്നു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിപ്പിന്‍ ; ആത്മാവു ഒരുക്കമുള്ളതു, ജഡമോ ബലഹീനമത്രേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
40He came to the disciples, and found them sleeping, and said to Peter, “What, couldn’t you watch with me for one hour?
41രണ്ടാമതും പോയി“പിതാവേ, ഞാന്‍ കുടിക്കാതെ അതു നീങ്ങിക്കൂടാ എങ്കില്‍, നിന്റെ ഇഷ്ടം ആകട്ടെ” എന്നു പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
41 Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.”
42അനന്തരം അവന്‍ വന്നു, അവര്‍ കണ്ണിന്നു ഭാരം ഏറുകയാല്‍ പിന്നെയും ഉറങ്ങുന്നതുകണ്ടു.
42Again, a second time he went away, and prayed, saying, “My Father, if this cup can’t pass away from me unless I drink it, your desire be done.”
43അവരെ വിട്ടു മൂന്നാമതും പോയി ആ വചനം തന്നേ ചൊല്ലി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു.
43He came again and found them sleeping, for their eyes were heavy.
44പിന്നെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു“ഇനി ഉറങ്ങി ആശ്വസിച്ചു കൊള്‍വിന്‍ ; നാഴിക അടുത്തു; മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ പാപികളുടെ കയ്യില്‍ ഏല്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു;
44He left them again, went away, and prayed a third time, saying the same words.
45എഴുന്നേല്പിന്‍ , നാം പോക; ഇതാ, എന്നെ കാണിച്ചു കൊടുക്കുന്നവന്‍ അടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
45Then he came to his disciples, and said to them, “Sleep on now, and take your rest. Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
46അവന്‍ സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ തന്നേ പന്തിരുവരില്‍ ഒരുത്തനായ യൂദയും അവനോടു കൂടെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ജനത്തിന്റെ മൂപ്പന്മാരും അയച്ച വലിയോരു പുരുഷാരവും വാളും വടികളുമായി വന്നു.
46 Arise, let’s be going. Behold, he who betrays me is at hand.”
47അവനെ കാണിച്ചുകൊടുക്കുന്നവന്‍ ; ഞാന്‍ ഏവനെ ചുംബിക്കുമോ അവന്‍ തന്നേ ആകുന്നു; അവനെ പിടിച്ചുകൊള്‍വിന്‍ എന്നു അവര്‍ക്കും ഒരു അടയാളം കൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
47While he was still speaking, behold, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and clubs, from the chief priest and elders of the people.
48ഉടനെ അവന്‍ യേശുവിന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നുറബ്ബീ, വന്ദനം എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു അവനെ ചുംബിച്ചു.
48Now he who betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, “Whoever I kiss, he is the one. Seize him.”
49യേശു അവനോടു“സ്നേഹിതാ, നീ വന്ന കാര്യം എന്തു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അടുത്തു യേശുവിന്മേല്‍ കൈ വെച്ചു അവനെ പിടിച്ചു.
49Immediately he came to Jesus, and said, “Hail, Rabbi!” and kissed him.
50അപ്പോള്‍ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെയുള്ളവരില്‍ ഒരുവന്‍ കൈ നീട്ടി വാള്‍ ഊരി, മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ ദാസനെ വെട്ടി അവന്റെ കാതു അറുത്തു.
50Jesus said to him, “Friend, why are you here?” Then they came and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.
51യേശു അവനോടു“വാള്‍ ഉറയില്‍ ഇടുക; വാള്‍ എടുക്കുന്നവര്‍ ഒക്കെയും വാളാല്‍ നശിച്ചുപോകും.
51Behold, one of those who were with Jesus stretched out his hand, and drew his sword, and struck the servant of the high priest, and struck off his ear.
52എന്റെ പിതാവിനോടു ഇപ്പോള്‍ തന്നേ പന്ത്രണ്ടു ലെഗ്യോനിലും അധികം ദൂതന്മാരെ എന്റെ അരികെ നിറുത്തേണ്ടതിന്നു എനിക്കു അപേക്ഷിച്ചുകൂടാ എന്നു തോന്നുന്നുവോ?
52Then Jesus said to him, “Put your sword back into its place, for all those who take the sword will die by the sword.
53എന്നാല്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ സംഭവിക്കേണം എന്നുള്ള തിരുവെഴുത്തുകള്‍ക്കു എങ്ങനെ നിവൃത്തിവരും” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
53 Or do you think that I couldn’t ask my Father, and he would even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
54ആ നാഴികയില്‍ യേശു പുരുഷാരത്തോടു“ഒരു കള്ളന്റെ നേരെ എന്നപോലെ നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ വാളും വടിയുമായി വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ദിവസേന ഉപദേശിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു ദൈവാലയത്തില്‍ ഇരുന്നിട്ടും നിങ്ങള്‍ എന്നെ പിടിച്ചില്ല.
54 How then would the Scriptures be fulfilled that it must be so?”
55എന്നാല്‍ ഇതു ഒക്കെയും പ്രവാചകന്മാരുടെ എഴുത്തുകള്‍ നിവൃത്തിയാകേണ്ടതിന്നു സംഭവിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു. അപ്പോള്‍ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ എല്ലാവരും അവനെ വിട്ടു ഔടിപ്പോയി.
55In that hour Jesus said to the multitudes, “Have you come out as against a robber with swords and clubs to seize me? I sat daily in the temple teaching, and you didn’t arrest me.
56യേശുവിനെ പിടിച്ചവരോ മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ കയ്യഫായുടെ അടുക്കല്‍ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരും മൂപ്പന്മാരും ഒന്നിച്ചുകൂടിയിരുന്നേടത്തു അവനെ കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
56 But all this has happened, that the Scriptures of the prophets might be fulfilled.” Then all the disciples left him, and fled.
57എന്നാല്‍ പത്രൊസ് ദൂരവെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്റെ അരമനയോളം പിന്‍ ചെന്നു, അകത്തു കടന്നു അവസാനം കാണ്മാന്‍ സേവകന്മാരോടുകൂടി ഇരുന്നു
57Those who had taken Jesus led him away to Caiaphas the high priest, where the scribes and the elders were gathered together.
58മഹാപുരോഹിതന്മാരും ന്യായാധിപസംഘം ഒക്കെയും യേശുവിനെ കൊല്ലേണ്ടതിന്നു അവന്റെ നേരെ കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷ്യം അന്വേഷിച്ചു;
58But Peter followed him from a distance, to the court of the high priest, and entered in and sat with the officers, to see the end.
59കള്ളസ്സാക്ഷികള്‍ പലരും വന്നിട്ടും പറ്റിയില്ല.
59Now the chief priests, the elders, and the whole council sought false testimony against Jesus, that they might put him to death;
60ഒടുവില്‍ രണ്ടുപേര്‍ വന്നുദൈവമന്ദിരം പൊളിച്ചു മൂന്നു ദിവസംകൊണ്ടു വീണ്ടും പണിവാന്‍ എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു ഇവന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു എന്നു ബോധിപ്പിച്ചു.
60and they found none. Even though many false witnesses came forward, they found none. But at last two false witnesses came forward,
61മഹാപുരോഹിതന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനോടുനീ ഒരു ഉത്തരവും പറയുന്നില്ലയോ? ഇവര്‍ നിന്റെ നേരെ സാക്ഷ്യം പറയുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.
61and said, “This man said, ‘I am able to destroy the temple of God, and to build it in three days.’”
62യേശുവോ മിണ്ടാതിരുന്നു. മഹാപുരോഹിതന്‍ പിന്നെയും അവനോടുനീ ദൈവപുത്രനായ ക്രിസ്തുതന്നേയോ? പറക എന്നു ഞാന്‍ ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെക്കൊണ്ടു നിന്നോടു ആണയിട്ടു ചോദിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
62The high priest stood up, and said to him, “Have you no answer? What is this that these testify against you?”
63യേശു അവനോടു“ഞാന്‍ ആകുന്നു; ഇനി മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്‍ സര്‍വശക്തന്റെ വലത്തുഭാഗത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതും ആകാശമേഘങ്ങളെ വാഹനമാക്കി വരുന്നതും നിങ്ങള്‍ കാണും എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറയുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
63But Jesus held his peace. The high priest answered him, “I adjure you by the living God, that you tell us whether you are the Christ, the Son of God.”
64ഉടനെ മഹാപുരോഹിതന്‍ വസ്ത്രം കീറിഇവന്‍ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറഞ്ഞു; ഇനി സാക്ഷികളെക്കൊണ്ടു നമുക്കു എന്തു ആവശ്യം? നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ ദൈവദൂഷണം കേട്ടുവല്ലോ
64Jesus said to him, “You have said it. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
65നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു എന്തു തോന്നുന്നു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഅവന്‍ മരണയോഗ്യന്‍ എന്നു അവര്‍ ഉത്തരം പറഞ്ഞു.
65Then the high priest tore his clothing, saying, “He has spoken blasphemy! Why do we need any more witnesses? Behold, now you have heard his blasphemy.
66അപ്പോള്‍ അവര്‍ അവന്റെ മുഖത്തു തുപ്പി, അവനെ മുഷ്ടിചുരുട്ടി കുത്തി, ചിലര്‍ അവനെ കന്നത്തടിച്ചു
66What do you think?” They answered, “He is worthy of death!”
67ഹേ, ക്രിസ്തുവേ, നിന്നെ തല്ലിയതു ആര്‍ എന്നു ഞങ്ങളോടു പ്രവചിക്ക എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
67Then they spit in his face and beat him with their fists, and some slapped him,
68എന്നാല്‍ പത്രൊസ് പുറത്തു നടുമുറ്റത്തു ഇരുന്നു. അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ ഒരു വേലക്കാരത്തി വന്നുനീയും ഗലീലക്കാരനായ യേശുവിനോടുകൂടെ ആയിരുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
68saying, “Prophesy to us, you Christ! Who hit you?”
69അതിന്നു അവന്‍ നീ പറയുന്നതു എനിക്കു തിരിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു എല്ലാവരും കേള്‍ക്കെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.
69Now Peter was sitting outside in the court, and a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus, the Galilean!”
70പിന്നെ അവന്‍ പടിപ്പുരയിലേക്കു പുറപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ മറ്റൊരുത്തി അവനെ കണ്ടു അവിടെയുള്ളവരോടുഇവനും നസറായനായ യേശുവിനോടു കൂടെയായിരുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു
70But he denied it before them all, saying, “I don’t know what you are talking about.”
71ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ രണ്ടാമതും ആണയോടെ തള്ളിപ്പറഞ്ഞു.
71When he had gone out onto the porch, someone else saw him, and said to those who were there, “This man also was with Jesus of Nazareth.”
72അല്പനേരം കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടു അവിടെ നിന്നവര്‍ അടുത്തുവന്നു പത്രൊസിനോടുനീയും അവരുടെ കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ ഉള്ളവന്‍ സത്യം; നിന്റെ ഉച്ചാരണവും നിന്നെ വെളിവാക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.
72Again he denied it with an oath, “I don’t know the man.”
73അപ്പോള്‍ അവന്‍ ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ഞാന്‍ അറിയുന്നില്ല എന്നു പ്രാകുവാനും ആണയിടുവാനും തുടങ്ങി; ഉടനെ കോഴി ക്കുകി.
73After a little while those who stood by came and said to Peter, “Surely you are also one of them, for your speech makes you known.”
74എന്നാറെ“കോഴി ക്കുകുമുമ്പേ നീ മൂന്നു വട്ടം എന്നെ തള്ളിപ്പറയും” എന്നു യേശു പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കു പത്രൊസ് ഔര്‍ത്തു പുറത്തു പോയി അതി ദുഃഖത്തോടെ കരഞ്ഞു.
74Then he began to curse and to swear, “I don’t know the man!” Immediately the rooster crowed.
75Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said to him, “Before the rooster crows, you will deny me three times.” He went out and wept bitterly.
