¹അവന്‍ പടകില്‍ കയറി ഇക്കരെക്കു കടന്നു സ്വന്തപട്ടണത്തില്‍ എത്തി.

¹He entered into a boat, and crossed over, and came into his own city.

²അവിടെ ചിലര്‍ കിടക്കമേല്‍ കിടക്കുന്ന ഒരു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു; യേശു അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസം കണ്ടു പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോടു“മകനേ, ധൈര്യമായിരിക്ക; നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ മോചിച്ചു തന്നിരിക്കുന്നു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

²Behold, they brought to him a man who was paralyzed, lying on a bed. Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven you.”

³എന്നാല്‍ ശാസ്ത്രിമാരില്‍ ചിലര്‍ഇവന്‍ ദൈവദൂഷണം പറയുന്നു എന്നു ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു.

³Behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, “This man blasphemes.”

⁴യേശുവോ അവരുടെ നിരൂപണം ഗ്രഹിച്ചു“നിങ്ങള്‍ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ ദോഷം നിരൂപിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു? നിന്റെ പാപങ്ങള്‍ മോചിച്ചുതന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

⁴Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?

⁵എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, എഴുന്നേറ്റു നടക്ക എന്നു പറയുന്നതോ, ഏതാകുന്നു എളുപ്പം” എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

⁵ For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Get up, and walk?’

⁶എങ്കിലും ഭൂമിയില്‍ പാപങ്ങളെ മോചിപ്പാന്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്നു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു എന്നു നിങ്ങള്‍ അറിയേണ്ടതിന്നു-അവന്‍ പക്ഷവാതക്കാരനോടു“എഴുന്നേറ്റു, കിടക്ക എടുത്തു വീട്ടില്‍ പോക” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

⁶ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...” (then he said to the paralytic), “Get up, and take up your mat, and go up to your house.”

⁷അവന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു വീട്ടില്‍ പോയി.

⁷He arose and departed to his house.

⁸പുരുഷാരം അതു കണ്ടു ഭയപ്പെട്ടു മനുഷ്യര്‍ക്കും ഇങ്ങനെയുള്ള അധികാരം കൊടുത്ത ദൈവത്തെ മഹത്വപ്പെടുത്തി.

⁸But when the multitudes saw it, they marveled and glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

⁹യേശു അവിടെനിന്നു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ മത്തായി എന്നു പേരുള്ള ഒരു മനുഷ്യന്‍ ചുങ്കസ്ഥലത്തു ഇരിക്കുന്നതു കണ്ടു“എന്നെ അനുഗമിക്ക” എന്നു അവനോടു പറഞ്ഞു; അവന്‍ എഴുന്നേറ്റു അവനെ അനുഗമിച്ചു.

⁹As Jesus passed by from there, he saw a man called Matthew sitting at the tax collection office. He said to him, “Follow me.” He got up and followed him.

¹⁰അവന്‍ വീട്ടില്‍ ഭക്ഷണത്തിന്നു ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ വളരെ ചുങ്കക്കാരും പാപികളും വന്നു യേശുവിനോടും അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടും കൂടെ പന്തിയില്‍ ഇരുന്നു.

¹⁰It happened as he sat in the house, behold, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat down with Jesus and his disciples.

¹¹പരീശന്മാര്‍ അതു കണ്ടു അവന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടുനിങ്ങളുടെ ഗുരു ചുങ്കക്കാരോടും പാപികളോടും കൂടെ ഭക്ഷിക്കുന്നതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹¹When the Pharisees saw it, they said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?”

¹²യേശു അതു കേട്ടാറെ“ദീനക്കാര്‍ക്കല്ലാതെ സൌഖ്യമുള്ളവര്‍ക്കും വൈദ്യനെക്കൊണ്ടു ആവശ്യമില്ല.

¹²When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick do.

¹³യാഗത്തിലല്ല കരുണയില്‍ അത്രേ ഞാന്‍ പ്രസാദിക്കുന്നു എന്നുള്ളതു എന്തു എന്നു പോയി പഠിപ്പിന്‍ . ഞാന്‍ നീതിമാന്മാരെ അല്ല പാപികളെ അത്രേ വിളിപ്പാന്‍ വന്നതു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹³ But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ Hosea 6:6 for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. NU omits “to repentance”. ”

¹⁴യോഹന്നാന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നുഞങ്ങളും പരീശന്മാരും വളരെ ഉപവസിക്കുന്നു; നിന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാര്‍ ഉപവസിക്കാത്തതു എന്തു എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

¹⁴Then John’s disciples came to him, saying, “Why do we and the Pharisees fast often, but your disciples don’t fast?”

¹⁵യേശു അവരോടു പറഞ്ഞതു“മണവാളന്‍ കൂടെയുള്ളപ്പോള്‍ തോഴ്മക്കാര്‍ക്കും ദുഃഖിപ്പാന്‍ കഴികയില്ല; മണവാളന്‍ പിരിഞ്ഞുപോകേണ്ടുന്ന നാള്‍ വരും; അന്നു അവര്‍ ഉപവസിക്കും.

¹⁵Jesus said to them, “Can the friends of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

¹⁶കോടിത്തുണിക്കണ്ടം ആരും പഴയ വസ്ത്രത്തില്‍ ചേര്‍ത്തു തുന്നുമാറില്ല; തുന്നിച്ചേര്‍ത്താല്‍ അതു കൊണ്ടു വസ്ത്രം കീറും; ചീന്തല്‍ ഏറ്റവും വല്ലാതെയായി തീരും.

¹⁶ No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch would tear away from the garment, and a worse hole is made.

¹⁷പുതു വീഞ്ഞു പഴയ തുരുത്തിയില്‍ പകരുമാറുമില്ല; പകര്‍ന്നാല്‍ തുരുത്തി പൊളിഞ്ഞു വീഞ്ഞു ഒഴുകിപ്പോകും; തുരുത്തിയും നശിച്ചുപോകും. പുതുവീഞ്ഞു പുതിയ തുരുത്തിയിലേ പകര്‍ന്നു വെക്കയുള്ളു; അങ്ങനെ രണ്ടും ഭദ്രമായിരിക്കും.”

¹⁷ Neither do people put new wine into old wineskins, or else the skins would burst, and the wine be spilled, and the skins ruined. No, they put new wine into fresh wineskins, and both are preserved.”

¹⁸അവന്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ അവരോടു സംസാരിച്ചു കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഒരു പ്രമാണി വന്നു അവനെ നമസ്കരിച്ചുഎന്റെ മകള്‍ ഇപ്പോള്‍ തന്നേ കഴിഞ്ഞുപോയി; എങ്കിലും നീ വന്നു അവളുടെമേല്‍ കൈ വെച്ചാല്‍ അവള്‍ ജീവിക്കും എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

¹⁸While he told these things to them, behold, a ruler came and worshiped him, saying, “My daughter has just died, but come and lay your hand on her, and she will live.”

¹⁹യേശു എഴുന്നേറ്റു ശിഷ്യന്മാരുമായി അവന്റെ കൂടെ ചെന്നു.

¹⁹Jesus got up and followed him, as did his disciples.

²⁰അന്നു പന്ത്രണ്ടു സംവത്സരമായിട്ടു രക്തസ്രവമുള്ളോരു സ്ത്രീ

²⁰Behold, a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years came behind him, and touched the fringe or, tassel of his garment;

²¹അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രം മാത്രം ഒന്നു തൊട്ടാല്‍ എനിക്കു സൌഖ്യം വരും എന്നു ഉള്ളംകൊണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു, പിറകില്‍ വന്നു അവന്റെ വസ്ത്രത്തിന്റെ തൊങ്ങല്‍ തൊട്ടു.

²¹for she said within herself, “If I just touch his garment, I will be made well.”

²²യേശു തിരിഞ്ഞു അവളെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍“മകളെ, ധൈര്യപ്പെടുക; നിന്റെ വിശ്വാസം നിന്നെ രക്ഷിച്ചു” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ആ നാഴികമുതല്‍ സ്ത്രീക്കു സൌഖ്യം വന്നു.

²²But Jesus, turning around and seeing her, said, “Daughter, cheer up! Your faith has made you well.” And the woman was made well from that hour.

²³പിന്നെ യേശു പ്രമാണിയുടെ വീട്ടില്‍ കടന്നു, കുഴലൂതുന്നവരെയും ആരവാരക്കൂട്ടത്തെയും കണ്ടിട്ടു

²³When Jesus came into the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players, and the crowd in noisy disorder,

²⁴“മാറിപ്പോകുവിന്‍ ; ബാല മരിച്ചില്ലല്ലോ ഉറങ്ങുന്നത്രേ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; അവരോ അവനെ പരിഹസിച്ചു.

²⁴he said to them, “Make room, because the girl isn’t dead, but sleeping.” They were ridiculing him.

²⁵അവന്‍ പുരുഷാരത്തെ പുറത്താക്കി അകത്തു കടന്നു ബാലയുടെ കൈപിടിച്ചു, ബാല എഴുന്നേറ്റു.

²⁵But when the crowd was put out, he entered in, took her by the hand, and the girl arose.

²⁶ഈ വര്‍ത്തമാനം ആ ദേശത്തു ഒക്കെയും പരന്നു.

²⁶The report of this went out into all that land.

²⁷യേശു അവിടെനിന്നു പോകുമ്പോള്‍ രണ്ടു കുരുടന്മാര്‍ദാവീദ് പുത്രാ, ഞങ്ങളോടു കരുണ തോന്നേണമേ എന്നു നിലവിളിച്ചുകൊണ്ടു പിന്തുടര്‍ന്നു.

²⁷As Jesus passed by from there, two blind men followed him, calling out and saying, “Have mercy on us, son of David!”

²⁸അവന്‍ വീട്ടില്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ കുരുടന്മാര്‍ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ വന്നു. “ഇതു ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ എനിക്കു കഴിയും എന്നു വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നുവോ” എന്നു യേശു ചോദിച്ചതിന്നുഉവ്വു, കര്‍ത്താവേ എന്നു അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

²⁸When he had come into the house, the blind men came to him. Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They told him, “Yes, Lord.”

²⁹അവന്‍ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തൊട്ടു“നിങ്ങളുടെ വിശ്വാസം പോലെ നിങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ഭവിക്കട്ടെ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു; ഉടനെ അവരുടെ കണ്ണു തുറന്നു.

²⁹Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.”

³⁰പിന്നെ യേശു“നോക്കുവിന്‍ ; ആരും അറിയരുതു എന്നു അമര്‍ച്ചയായി കല്പിച്ചു.”

³⁰Their eyes were opened. Jesus strictly commanded them, saying, “See that no one knows about this.”

³¹അവരോ പുറപ്പെട്ടു ആ ദേശത്തിലൊക്കെയും അവന്റെ ശ്രുതിയെ പരത്തി.

³¹But they went out and spread abroad his fame in all that land.

³²അവര്‍ പോകുമ്പോള്‍ ചിലര്‍ ഭൂതഗ്രസ്തനായോരു ഊമനെ അവന്റെ അടുക്കല്‍ കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.

³²As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

³³അവന്‍ ഭൂതത്തെ പുറത്താക്കിയ ശേഷം ഊമന്‍ സംസാരിച്ചുയിസ്രായേലില്‍ ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരുനാളും കണ്ടിട്ടില്ല എന്നു പുരുഷാരം അതിശയിച്ചു.

³³When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, “Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!”

³⁴പരീശന്മാരോഇവന്‍ ഭൂതങ്ങളുടെ തലവനെക്കൊണ്ടു ഭൂതങ്ങളെ പുറത്താക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³⁴But the Pharisees said, “By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons.”

³⁵യേശു പട്ടണംതോറും ഗ്രാമംതോറും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു അവരുടെ പള്ളികളില്‍ ഉപദേശിച്ചു രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ സുവിശേഷം പ്രസംഗിക്കയും സകലവിധദീനവും വ്യാധിയും സൌഖ്യമാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

³⁵Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

³⁶അവന്‍ പുരുഷാരത്തെ ഇടയനില്ലാത്ത ആടുകളെപ്പോലെ കുഴഞ്ഞവരും ചിന്നിയവരുമായി കണ്ടിട്ടു അവരെക്കുറിച്ചു മനസ്സലിഞ്ഞു, തന്റെ ശിഷ്യന്മാരോടു

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them, because they were harassed TR reads “weary” instead of “harassed” and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁷“കൊയ്ത്തു വളരെ ഉണ്ടു സത്യം, വേലക്കാരോ ചുരുക്കം;

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

³⁸ആകയാല്‍ കൊയ്ത്തിന്റെ യജമാനനോടു കൊയ്ത്തിലേക്കു വേലക്കാരെ അയക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യാചിപ്പിന്‍ ” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

³⁸ Pray therefore that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest.”
