1മോശെ യിസ്രായേല്മക്കളുടെ ഗോത്രപ്രധാനികളോടു പറഞ്ഞതുയഹോവ കല്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കാര്യം എന്തെന്നാല്
1Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the children of Israel, saying, “This is the thing which Yahweh has commanded.
2ആരെങ്കിലും യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു നേര്ച്ച നേരുകയോ ഒരു പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതം ദീക്ഷിപ്പാന് ശപഥംചെയ്കയോ ചെയ്താല് അവന് വാക്കിന്നു ഭംഗം വരുത്താതെ തന്റെ വായില്നിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ടതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും നിവര്ത്തിക്കേണം.
2When a man vows a vow to Yahweh, or swears an oath to bind his soul with a bond, he shall not break his word; he shall do according to all that proceeds out of his mouth.
3ഒരു സ്ത്രീ ബാല്യപ്രായത്തില് അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില് ഇരിക്കുമ്പോള് യഹോവേക്കു ഒരു നേര്ച്ചനേര്ന്നു ഒരു പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതം നിശ്ചയിക്കയും
3“Also when a woman vows a vow to Yahweh, and binds herself by a bond, being in her father’s house, in her youth,
4അവളുടെ അപ്പന് അവളുടെ നേര്ച്ചയെയും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു കേട്ടിട്ടു മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവളുടെ എല്ലാനേര്ച്ചകളും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതമൊക്കെയും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.
4and her father hears her vow, and her bond with which she has bound her soul, and her father holds his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond with which she has bound her soul shall stand.
5എന്നാല് അവളുടെ അപ്പന് അവളുടെ എല്ലാനേര്ച്ചയെയും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതത്തെയും കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്ന നാളില് അവളോടു വിലക്കിയാല് അവ സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കയില്ല; അവളുടെ അപ്പന് അവളോടു വിലക്കുകകൊണ്ടു യഹോവ അവളോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.
5But if her father disallow her in the day that he hears, none of her vows, or of her bonds with which she has bound her soul, shall stand: and Yahweh will forgive her, because her father disallowed her.
6അവള്ക്കു ഒരു നേര്ച്ചയോ വിചാരിക്കാതെ നിശ്ചയിച്ചുപോയ പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതമോ ഉള്ളപ്പോള്
6“If she has a husband, while her vows are on her, or the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul,
7അവള് ഒരുത്തന്നു ഭാര്യയാകയും ഭര്ത്താവു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുന്ന നാളില് മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കയും ചെയ്താല് അവളുടെ നേര്ച്ചകളും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതവും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.
7and her husband hears it, and hold his peace at her in the day that he hears it; then her vows shall stand, and her bonds with which she has bound her soul shall stand.
8എന്നാല് ഭര്ത്താവു അതു കേട്ട നാളില് അവളോടു വിലക്കിയാല് അവളുടെ നേര്ച്ചയും അവള് വിചാരിക്കാതെ നിശ്ചയിച്ചുപോയ പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതവും അവന് ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു; യഹോവ അവളോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.
8But if her husband forbids her in the day that he hears it, then he shall make void her vow which is on her, and the rash utterance of her lips, with which she has bound her soul: and Yahweh will forgive her.
9വിധവയോ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ടവളോ ചെയ്യുന്ന നേര്ച്ചയും പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതവും എല്ലാം അവളുടെ മേല് സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.
9“But the vow of a widow, or of her who is divorced, everything with which she has bound her soul, shall stand against her.
10അവള് ഭര്ത്താവിന്റെ വീട്ടില്വെച്ചു നേരുകയോ ഒരു പരിവര്ജ്ജനശപഥം ചെയ്കയോ ചെയ്തിട്ടു
10“If she vowed in her husband’s house, or bound her soul by a bond with an oath,
11ഭര്ത്താവു അതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു കേള്ക്കുമ്പോള് മിണ്ടാതെയും അവളോടു വിലക്കാതെയും ഇരുന്നാല് അവളുടെ നേര്ച്ചകള് ഒക്കെയും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതവും എല്ലാം സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കും.
11and her husband heard it, and held his peace at her, and didn’t disallow her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond with which she bound her soul shall stand.
12എന്നാല് ഭര്ത്താവു കേട്ട നാളില് അവയെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തി എങ്കില് നേര്ച്ചകളോ പരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതമോ സംബന്ധിച്ചു അവളുടെ നാവിന്മേല് നിന്നു വീണതൊന്നും സ്ഥിരമായിരിക്കയില്ല; അവളുടെ ഭര്ത്താവു അതിനെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവ അവളോടു ക്ഷമിക്കും.
12But if her husband made them null and void in the day that he heard them, then whatever proceeded out of her lips concerning her vows, or concerning the bond of her soul, shall not stand: her husband has made them void; and Yahweh will forgive her.
13ആത്മതപനം ചെയ്വാനുള്ള ഏതു നേര്ച്ചയും പരിവര്ജ്ജനശപഥവും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുവാനോ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തുവാനോ ഭര്ത്താവിന്നു അധികാരം ഉണ്ടു.
13Every vow, and every binding oath to afflict the soul, her husband may establish it, or her husband may make it void.
14എന്നാല് ഭര്ത്താവു ഒരിക്കലും ഒന്നും മിണ്ടിയില്ല എങ്കില് അവന് അവളുടെ എല്ലാനേര്ച്ചയും അവള് നിശ്ചയിച്ച സകലപരിവര്ജ്ജനവ്രതവും സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. കേട്ട നാളില് മിണ്ടാതിരിക്കകൊണ്ടു അവന് അവയെ സ്ഥിരപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു.
14But if her husband altogether hold his peace at her from day to day, then he establishes all her vows, or all her bonds, which are on her: he has established them, because he held his peace at her in the day that he heard them.
15എന്നാല് കേട്ടിട്ടു കുറെ കഴിഞ്ഞശേഷം അവയെ ദുര്ബ്ബലപ്പെടുത്തിയാല് അവന് അവളുടെ കുറ്റം വഹിക്കും.
15But if he shall make them null and void after that he has heard them, then he shall bear her iniquity.”
16ഭാര്യാഭര്ത്താക്കന്മാര് തമ്മിലും അപ്പന്റെ വീട്ടില് കന്യകയായി പാര്ക്കുംന്ന മകളും അപ്പനും തമ്മിലും പ്രമാണിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു യഹോവ മോശെയോടു കല്പിച്ച ചട്ടങ്ങള് ഇവ തന്നേ.
16These are the statutes, which Yahweh commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between a father and his daughter, being in her youth, in her father’s house.
