1യഹോവേ, നീ ദൂരത്തു നില്‍ക്കുന്നതെന്തു? കഷ്ടകാലത്തു നീ മറഞ്ഞുകളയുന്നതുമെന്തു?
1Why do you stand far off, Yahweh? Why do you hide yourself in times of trouble?
2ദുഷ്ടന്റെ അഹങ്കാരത്താല്‍ എളിയവന്‍ തപിക്കുന്നു; അവര്‍ നിരൂപിച്ച ഉപായങ്ങളില്‍ അവര്‍ തന്നേ പിടിപെടട്ടെ.
2In arrogance, the wicked hunt down the weak. They are caught in the schemes that they devise.
3ദുഷ്ടന്‍ തന്റെ മനോരഥത്തില്‍ പ്രശംസിക്കുന്നു; ദുരാഗ്രഹി യഹോവയെ ത്യജിച്ചു നിന്ദിക്കുന്നു.
3For the wicked boasts of his heart’s cravings. He blesses the greedy, and condemns Yahweh.
4ദുഷ്ടന്‍ ഉന്നതഭാവത്തോടെഅവന്‍ ചോദിക്കയില്ല എന്നു പറയുന്നു; ദൈവം ഇല്ല എന്നാകുന്നു അവന്റെ നിരൂപണം ഒക്കെയും.
4The wicked, in the pride of his face, has no room in his thoughts for God.
5അവന്റെ വഴികള്‍ എല്ലായ്പോഴും സഫലമാകുന്നു; നിന്റെ ന്യായവിധികള്‍ അവന്‍ കാണാതവണ്ണം ഉയരമുള്ളവ; തന്റെ സകലശത്രുക്കളോടും അവന്‍ ചീറുന്നു.
5His ways are prosperous at all times. He is haughty, and your laws are far from his sight. As for all his adversaries, he sneers at them.
6ഞാന്‍ കുലുങ്ങുകയില്ല, ഒരുനാളും അനര്‍ത്ഥത്തില്‍ വീഴുകയുമില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
6He says in his heart, “I shall not be shaken. For generations I shall have no trouble.”
7അവന്റെ വായില്‍ ശാപവും വ്യാജവും സാഹസവും നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്റെ നാവിന്‍ കീഴില്‍ ദോഷവും അതിക്രമവും ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
7His mouth is full of cursing, deceit, and oppression. Under his tongue is mischief and iniquity.
8അവന്‍ ഗ്രാമങ്ങളുടെ ഒളിവുകളില്‍ പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; മറവിടങ്ങളില്‍വെച്ചു അവന്‍ കുറ്റമില്ലാത്തവനെ കൊല്ലുന്നു; അവന്‍ രഹസ്യമായി അഗതിയുടെമേല്‍ കണ്ണു വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.
8He lies in wait near the villages. From ambushes, he murders the innocent. His eyes are secretly set against the helpless.
9സിംഹം മുറ്റുകാട്ടില്‍ എന്നപോലെ അവന്‍ മറവിടത്തില്‍ പതുങ്ങുന്നു; എളിയവനെ പിടിപ്പാന്‍ അവന്‍ പതിയിരിക്കുന്നു; എളിയവനെ തന്റെ വലയില്‍ ചാടിച്ചു പിടിക്കുന്നു.
9He lurks in secret as a lion in his ambush. He lies in wait to catch the helpless. He catches the helpless, when he draws him in his net.
10അവന്‍ കുനിഞ്ഞു പതുങ്ങിക്കിടക്കുന്നു; അഗതികള്‍ അവന്റെ ബലത്താല്‍ വീണു പോകുന്നു.
10The helpless are crushed. They collapse. They fall under his strength.
11ദൈവം മറന്നിരിക്കുന്നു, അവന്‍ തന്റെ മുഖം മറെച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; അവന്‍ ഒരുനാളും കാണുകയില്ല എന്നു അവന്‍ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു.
11He says in his heart, “God has forgotten. He hides his face. He will never see it.”
12യഹോവേ, എഴുന്നേല്‍ക്കേണമേ, ദൈവമേ, തൃക്കൈ ഉയര്‍ത്തേണമേ; എളിയവരെ മറക്കരുതേ.
12Arise, Yahweh! God, lift up your hand! Don’t forget the helpless.
13ദുഷ്ടന്‍ ദൈവത്തെ നിന്ദിക്കുന്നതും നീ ചോദിക്കയില്ല എന്നു തന്റെ ഉള്ളില്‍ പറയുന്നതും എന്തിന്നു?
13Why does the wicked person condemn God, and say in his heart, “God won’t call me into account?”
14നീ അതു കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു, തൃക്കൈകൊണ്ടു പകരം ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ ദോഷത്തെയും പകയെയും നീ നോക്കിക്കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അഗതി തന്നെത്താന്‍ നിങ്കല്‍ ഏല്പിക്കുന്നു; അനാഥന്നു നീ സഹായി ആകുന്നു.
14But you do see trouble and grief. You consider it to take it into your hand. You help the victim and the fatherless.
15ദുഷ്ടന്റെ ഭുജത്തെ നീ ഒടിക്കേണമേ; ദോഷിയുടെ ദുഷ്ടത ഇല്ലാതെയാകുവോളം അതിന്നു പ്രതികാരം ചെയ്യേണമേ.
15Break the arm of the wicked. As for the evil man, seek out his wickedness until you find none.
16യഹോവ എന്നെന്നേക്കും രാജാവാകുന്നു; ജാതികള്‍ അവന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്നു നശിച്ചു പോയിരിക്കുന്നു.
16Yahweh is King forever and ever! The nations will perish out of his land.
17ഭൂമിയില്‍നിന്നുള്ള മര്‍ത്യന്‍ ഇനി ഭയപ്പെടുത്താതിരിപ്പാന്‍ നീ അനാഥന്നും പീഡിതന്നും ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യേണ്ടതിന്നു
17Yahweh, you have heard the desire of the humble. You will prepare their heart. You will cause your ear to hear,
18യഹോവേ, നീ സാധുക്കളുടെ അപേക്ഷ കേട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; അവരുടെ ഹൃദയത്തെ നീ ഉറപ്പിക്കയും നിന്റെ ചെവി ചായിച്ചു കേള്‍ക്കയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
18to judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that man who is of the earth may terrify no more.
