1യഹോവേ, രക്ഷിക്കേണമേ; ഭക്തന്മാര്‍ ഇല്ലാതെപോകുന്നു; വിശ്വസ്തന്മാര്‍ മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരില്‍ കുറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നു;
1Help, Yahweh; for the godly man ceases. For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2ഔരോരുത്തന്‍ താന്താന്റെ കൂട്ടുകാരനോടു വ്യാജം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു; കപടമുള്ള അധരത്തോടും ഇരുമനസ്സോടും കൂടെ അവര്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നു.
2Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.
3കപടമുള്ള അധരങ്ങളെ ഒക്കെയും വമ്പു പറയുന്ന നാവിനെയും യഹോവ ഛേദിച്ചുകളയും.
3May Yahweh cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,
4ഞങ്ങളുടെ നാവുകൊണ്ടു ഞങ്ങള്‍ ജയിക്കും; ഞങ്ങളുടെ അധരങ്ങള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു തുണ; ഞങ്ങള്‍ക്കു യജമാനന്‍ ആര്‍ എന്നു അവര്‍ പറയുന്നു.
4who have said, “With our tongue we will prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?”
5എളിയവരുടെ പീഡയും ദരിദ്രന്മാരുടെ ദീര്‍ഘ ശ്വാസവുംനിമിത്തം ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ എഴുന്നേലക്കും; രക്ഷെക്കായി കാംക്ഷിക്കുന്നവനെ ഞാന്‍ അതിലാക്കും എന്നു യഹോവ അരുളിച്ചെയ്യുന്നു.
5“Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise,” says Yahweh; “I will set him in safety from those who malign him.”
6യഹോവയുടെ വചനങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍മ്മല വചനങ്ങള്‍ ആകുന്നു; നിലത്തു ഉലയില്‍ ഉരുക്കി ഏഴുപ്രാവശ്യം ശുദ്ധിചെയ്ത വെള്ളിപോലെ തന്നേ.
6The words of Yahweh are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.
7യഹോവേ, നീ അവരെ കാത്തുകൊള്ളും; ഈ തലമുറയില്‍നിന്നു നീ അവരെ എന്നും സൂക്ഷിക്കും. മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരുടെ ഇടയില്‍ വഷളത്വം പ്രബലപ്പെടുമ്പോള്‍ ദുഷ്ടന്മാര്‍ എല്ലാടവും സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു.
7You will keep them, Yahweh. You will preserve them from this generation forever.
8The wicked walk on every side, when what is vile is exalted among the sons of men.
