1ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു ആരോഹണഗീതം.
1I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!”
2യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു നമുക്കു പോകാം എന്നു അവര്‍ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ സന്തോഷിച്ചു.
2Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem;
3യെരൂശലേമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകള്‍ നിന്റെ വാതിലുകള്‍ക്കകത്തു നിലക്കുന്നു.
3Jerusalem, that is built as a city that is compact together;
4തമ്മില്‍ ഇണക്കിയ നഗരമായി പണിതിരിക്കുന്ന യെരൂശലേമേ!
4where the tribes go up, even Yah’s tribes, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.
5അവിടേക്കു ഗോത്രങ്ങള്‍, യഹോവയുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങള്‍ തന്നേ, യിസ്രായേലിന്നു സാക്ഷ്യത്തിന്നായി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിന്നു സ്തോത്രം ചെയ്‍വാന്‍ കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു.
5For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of David’s house.
6അവിടെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള്‍, ദാവീദ്ഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ ന്യായാസനങ്ങള്‍ തന്നേ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.
6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.
7യെരൂശലേമിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിന്നായി പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിപ്പിന്‍ ; നിന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവര്‍ സ്വൈരമായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
7Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.
8നിന്റെ കൊത്തളങ്ങളില്‍ സമാധാനവും നിന്റെ അരമനകളില്‍ സ്വൈരവും ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ.
8For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”
9എന്റെ സഹോദരന്മാരും കൂട്ടാളികളും നിമിത്തം നിന്നില്‍ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ എന്നു ഞാന്‍ പറയും.
9For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, I will seek your good.
10നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയം നിമിത്തം ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ നന്മ അന്വേഷിക്കും.
