1ദൈവം ഇല്ല എന്നു മൂഢന്‍ തന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ പറയുന്നു; അവര്‍ വഷളന്മാരായി മ്ളേച്ഛത പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നു; നന്മചെയ്യുന്നവന്‍ ആരുമില്ല.
1The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt. They have done abominable works. There is none who does good.
2ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്ന ബുദ്ധിമാനുണ്ടോ എന്നു കാണ്മാന്‍ യഹോവ സ്വര്‍ഗ്ഗത്തില്‍നിന്നു മനുഷ്യപുത്രന്മാരെ നോക്കുന്നു.
2Yahweh looked down from heaven on the children of men, to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.
3എല്ലാവരും വഴിതെറ്റി ഒരുപോലെ കൊള്ളരുതാത്തവരായിത്തീര്‍ന്നു; നന്മ ചെയ്യുന്നവനില്ല; ഒരുത്തന്‍ പോലുമില്ല.
3They have all gone aside. They have together become corrupt. There is none who does good, no, not one.
4നീതികേടു പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നവര്‍ ആരും അറിയുന്നില്ലയോ? അപ്പം തിന്നുന്നതുപോലെ അവര്‍ എന്റെ ജനത്തെ തിന്നുകളയുന്നു; യഹോവയോടു അവര്‍ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്നില്ല.
4Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and don’t call on Yahweh?
5അവര്‍ അവിടെ അത്യന്തം ഭയപ്പെട്ടു; യഹോവ നീതിമാന്മാരുടെ തലമുറയില്‍ ഉണ്ടല്ലോ.
5There they were in great fear, for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6നിങ്ങള്‍ ദരിദ്രന്റെ ആലോചനെക്കു ഭംഗം വരുത്തുന്നു; എന്നാല്‍ യഹോവ അവന്റെ സങ്കേതമാകുന്നു.
6You frustrate the plan of the poor, because Yahweh is his refuge.
7സീയോനില്‍നിന്നു യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ രക്ഷവന്നെങ്കില്‍! യഹോവ തന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ സ്ഥിതി മാറ്റുമ്പോള്‍ യാക്കോബ് സന്തോഷിക്കയും യിസ്രായേല്‍ ആനന്ദിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.
7Oh that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When Yahweh restores the fortunes of his people, then Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
