1യഹോവ എന്റെ വെളിച്ചവും എന്റെ രക്ഷയും ആകുന്നു; ഞാന്‍ ആരെ ഭയപ്പെടും? യഹോവ എന്റെ ജീവന്റെ ബലം; ഞാന്‍ ആരെ പേടിക്കും?
1Yahweh is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?
2എന്റെ വൈരികളും ശത്രുക്കളുമായ ദുഷ്കര്‍മ്മികള്‍ എന്റെ മാംസം തിന്നുവാന്‍ എന്നോടു അടുക്കുമ്പോള്‍ ഇടറിവീഴും.
2When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
3ഒരു സൈന്യം എന്റെ നേരെ പാളയമിറങ്ങിയാലും എന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഭയപ്പെടുകയില്ല; എനിക്കു യുദ്ധം നേരിട്ടാലും ഞാന്‍ നിര്‍ഭയമായിരിക്കും.
3Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.
4ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയോടു ഒരു കാര്യം അപേക്ഷിച്ചു; അതു തന്നേ ഞാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു; യഹോവയുടെ മനോഹരത്വം കാണ്മാനും അവന്റെ മന്ദിരത്തില്‍ ധ്യാനിപ്പാനും എന്റെ ആയുഷ്കാലമൊക്കെയും ഞാന്‍ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തില്‍ പാര്‍ക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു തന്നേ.
4One thing I have asked of Yahweh, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of Yahweh all the days of my life, to see Yahweh’s beauty, and to inquire in his temple.
5അനര്‍ത്ഥദിവസത്തില്‍ അവന്‍ തന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില്‍ എന്നെ ഒളിപ്പിക്കും; തിരുനിവാസത്തിന്റെ മറവില്‍ എന്നെ മറെക്കും; പാറമേല്‍ എന്നെ ഉയര്‍ത്തും.
5For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.
6ഇപ്പോള്‍ എന്റെ ചുറ്റുമുള്ള ശത്രുക്കളുടെ മേല്‍ എന്റെ തല ഉയരും; ഞാന്‍ അവന്റെ കൂടാരത്തില്‍ ജയഘോഷയാഗങ്ങളെ അര്‍പ്പിക്കും; ഞാന്‍ യഹോവേക്കു പാടി കീര്‍ത്തനം ചെയ്യും.
6Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to Yahweh.
7യഹോവേ, ഞാന്‍ ഉറക്കെ, വിളിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കേള്‍ക്കേണമേ; എന്നോടു കൃപചെയ്തു എനിക്കുത്തരമരുളേണമേ.
7Hear, Yahweh, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me.
8“എന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിപ്പിന്” എന്നു നിങ്കല്‍നിന്നു കല്പന വന്നു എന്നു എന്റെ ഹൃദയം പറയുന്നു; യഹോവേ, ഞാന്‍ നിന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നു.
8When you said, “Seek my face,” my heart said to you, “I will seek your face, Yahweh.”
9നിന്റെ മുഖം എനിക്കു മറെക്കരുതേ; അടിയനെകോപത്തോടെ നീക്കിക്കളയരുതേ; നീ എനിക്കു തുണയായിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ രക്ഷയുടെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നെ തള്ളിക്കളയരുതേ; ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയുമരുതേ.
9Don’t hide your face from me. Don’t put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don’t abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.
10എന്റെ അപ്പനും അമ്മയും എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എങ്കിലും യഹോവ എന്നെ ചേര്‍ത്തുകൊള്ളും.
10When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.
11യഹോവേ, നിന്റെ വഴി എന്നെ കാണിക്കേണമേ; എന്റെ ശത്രുക്കള്‍നിമിത്തം നേരെയുള്ള പാതയില്‍ എന്നെ നടത്തേണമേ.
11Teach me your way, Yahweh. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.
12എന്റെ വൈരികളുടെ ഇഷ്ടത്തിന്നു എന്നെ ഏല്പിച്ചുകൊടുക്കരുതേ; കള്ളസാക്ഷികളും ക്രൂരത്വം നിശ്വസിക്കുന്നവരും എന്നോടു എതിര്‍ത്തുനിലക്കുന്നു.
12Don’t deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, such as breathe out cruelty.
13ഞാന്‍ ജീവനുള്ളവരുടെ ദേശത്തു യഹോവയുടെ നന്മ കാണുമെന്നു വിശ്വസിച്ചില്ലെങ്കില്‍ കഷ്ടം!
13I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living.
14യഹോവയിങ്കല്‍ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക; ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്ക; നിന്റെ ഹൃദയം ഉറെച്ചിരിക്കട്ടെ; അതേ, യഹോവയിങ്കല്‍ പ്രത്യാശവെക്കുക.
14Wait for Yahweh. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for Yahweh.
