1आता, बंधूनो, आध्यात्मिक दानांसबंधी तुम्ही अज्ञान असावे असे मला वाटत नाही.
1And concerning the spiritual things, brethren, I do not wish you to be ignorant;
2तुम्हाला माहीत आहे की जेव्हा तुम्ही यहूदीतर होता तेव्हा मूर्तिपूजेकडे तुमचा कल होता.
2ye have known that ye were nations, unto the dumb idols — as ye were led — being carried away;
3म्हणून मी तुम्हांला सांगत आहे की, देवाच्या आत्म्याने बोलणारा कोणीही मनुष्य असे म्हणत नाही की, “येशू शापित असो.” आणि पवित्र आत्म्याशिवाय कोणीही “येशू प्रभु आह,” असे म्हणू शकत नाही.
3wherefore, I give you to understand that no one, in the Spirit of God speaking, saith Jesus [is] anathema, and no one is able to say Jesus [is] Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.
4आध्यात्मिक दाने विभागलेली आहेत पण तोच आत्मा ही विभागणी करतो.
4And there are diversities of gifts, and the same Spirit;
5सेवेचे प्रकार आहेत, पंरतु ज्याची आम्ही सेवा करतो तो एकच आहे.
5and there are diversities of ministrations, and the same Lord;
6कार्य करण्याचे वेगवेगळे विभाग आहेत पण ह्या सेवा एकाच देवाकडून येतात.
6and there are diversities of workings, and it is the same God — who is working the all in all.
7कारण प्रत्येकाच्या फायद्यासाठी एकेकाला आत्म्याचे प्रकटीकरण दिले आहे.
7And to each hath been given the manifestation of the Spirit for profit;
8एका व्यक्तीला आत्म्याच्या द्वारे दैवी ज्ञानाचे वचन सांगण्याचे शहाणपण दिले जाते. आणि दुसऱ्या व्यक्तीला त्याच आत्म्याच्या द्वारे दैवी ज्ञानाने बोलण्याचे,
8for to one through the Spirit hath been given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit;
9कोणाला त्याच आत्म्याने विश्वास व दुसऱ्याला फक्त त्याचा एका आत्म्याद्वारे बरे करण्याचे दान दिले आहे.
9and to another faith in the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings in the same Spirit;
10दुसऱ्या कोणाला अद्भुत कार्ये करण्याची शक्ति व दुसऱ्याला भविष्य सांगण्याची शक्ति, तर दुसऱ्याला आत्म्या आत्म्यातील फरक ओळखण्याची, दुसऱ्या कोणाला वेगवेगळ्या भाषा बोलण्याची, दुसऱ्याला भाषांतर करुन अर्थ सांगण्याची शक्ति दिली आहे.
10and to another in-workings of mighty deeds; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; and to another [divers] kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues:
11परंतु तो एकच आत्मा जो त्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे एकेकाला वाटून देऊन ही सर्व कार्ये पूर्णत्वास नेतो.
11and all these doth work the one and the same Spirit, dividing to each severally as he intendeth.
12कारण ज्याप्रमाणे आपणातील प्रत्येकाला एकच शरीर आणि त्याला अनेक अवयव असतात, आणि तरीही सर्व अवयव जरी ते पुष्कळ असले तरी त्यांचे मिळून एक शरीर बनते. तसाच ख्रिस्तसुद्धा आहे.
12For, even as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of the one body, being many, are one body, so also [is] the Christ,
13जर आपण यहूदी किंवा ग्रीक, गुलाम किंवा स्वतंत्र असून आपणांला एकच आत्मा देह म्हणून दिला आहे. कारण एका आत्म्याने आपणाला एक शरीर होण्यासाठी बाप्तिस्मा दिलेला आहे.
13for also in one Spirit we all to one body were baptized, whether Jews or Greeks, whether servants or freemen, and all into one Spirit were made to drink,
14आता एका मानवी शरीरात एकच अवयव असत नाही, तर पुष्कळ असतात
14for also the body is not one member, but many;
15जर पाय म्हणतो, “मी हात नाही म्हणून मी शरीराचा नाही,” तर तो या कारणासाठी शरीराचा नाही असे होत नाही, होते का?
15if the foot may say, `Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body;` it is not, because of this, not of the body;
16आणि जर कान म्हणेल, “मी डोळा नाही म्हणून मी शरीराचा नाही,” तर तो या कारणासाठी शरीराचा नाही असे होत नाही. होते का?
16and if the ear may say, `Because I am not an eye, I am not of the body;` it is not, because of this, not of the body?
17संबंध शरीरच जर डोळा असते तर आपल्याला ऐकता कसे आले असते?
17If the whole body [were] an eye, where the hearing? if the whole hearing, where the smelling?
18परंतु प्रत्यक्षात शरीरातील प्रत्येक अवयव देवाने त्याच्या इच्छेप्रमाणे ठेवला आहे.
18and now, God did set the members each one of them in the body, according as He willed,
19आणि सर्व अवयव जर एकच अवयव असते तर शरीर कोठे असते?
19and if all were one member, where the body?
20पण असे आहे की, अवयव अनेक आहेत, शरीर मात्र एकच आहे.
20and now, indeed, [are] many members, and one body;
21डोळा हाताला म्हणू शकत नाही की, “मला तुझी गरज नाही.” किंवा दुसरे उदाहरण द्यायचे तर डोक पायांना म्हणू शकत नाही, “मला तुमची गरज नाही.”
21and an eye is not able to say to the hand, `I have no need of thee;` nor again the head to the feet, `I have no need of you.`
22याच्या उलट जे अवयव आपण कमी महत्त्वाचे समजतो, त्यांची आपण अधिक काळजी घेतो.
22But much more the members of the body which seem to be more infirm are necessary,
23आणि जे न दाखवण्याजोगे अवयव त्यांना मोठ्या सभ्यतेने वागवतो.
23and those that we think to be less honourable of the body, around these we put more abundant honour, and our unseemly things have seemliness more abundant,
24पण आपल्या दाखविता येण्याजोग्या अवयवांना तशी गरज नसते. त्याऐवजी जे अवयव उणे आहेत त्यांना मोठा मान देण्यासाठी देवाने असे शरीर जुळविले आहे,
24and our seemly things have no need; but God did temper the body together, to the lacking part having given more abundant honour,
25यासाठी की शरीरात कोणतेही मतभेद नसावेत तर उलट अवयवांनी एकमेकांची काळजी घ्यावी.
25that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same anxiety for one another,
26जर शरीराचा एक अवयव दुखत असेल तर सर्व अवयव त्याच्याबरोबर दु:ख सोसतात, एका अवयवाचा सन्मान झाला तर सर्व अवयव त्याच्याबरोबर आनंदीत होतात.
26and whether one member doth suffer, suffer with [it] do all the members, or one member is glorified, rejoice with [it] do all the members;
27म्हणून तुम्ही ख्रिस्ताचे शरीर आहात आणि वैयक्तिकरीत्या अवयव आहात
27and ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
28शिवाय देवाने मंडळीत प्रथम प्रेषित, दुसरे संदेष्टे, तिसरे शिक्षक, जे चमत्कार करतात ते, ज्यांना आरोग्य देण्याचे दान आहे ते,
28And some, indeed, did God set in the assembly, first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, afterwards powers, afterwards gifts of healings, helpings, governings, divers kinds of tongues;
29जे लोक मदत करतात, जे पुढारीपण करतात व ज्या लोकांना भिन्न भिन्न भाषा बोलण्याचे दान आहे, असे लोक ठेवले आहेत. म्हणजे सर्वच प्रेषित नाहीत, सर्वच संदेष्टे नाहीत, सर्वच शिक्षक नाहीत, सर्वांनाच चमत्कार करण्याची शक्ति नाही.
29[are] all apostles? [are] all prophets? [are] all teachers? [are] all powers?
30सर्वांनाच आरोग्य देण्याची दाने नाहीत, सर्वच अन्य भाषेत बोलत नाहीत, सर्वांनाच भाषांचा अर्थ सांगण्याची शक्ति नाही. 31तथापि आत्म्याच्या अधिक मोठ्या दानांसाठी प्रयत्न करा. आणि आता मी तुम्हांस ह्याहूनही उत्तम मार्ग दाखवितो.
30have all gifts of healings? do all speak with tongues? do all interpret?

31and desire earnestly the better gifts; and yet a far excelling way do I shew to you:
