1मला पुन्हा परमेश्वराचे शब्द ऐकू आले. तो म्हणाला,
1And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying:
2“मानवपुत्रा, माझ्यावतीने बोल. ‘मी पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो’ असे सांग. “ओरडून सांग “तो भयंकर दिवस येत आहे.”
2`Son of man, prophesy, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Howl ye, ha! for the day!
3तो दिवस नजीक आहे. हो! परमेश्वराचा न्यायाचा दिवस जवळ आहे. तो ढगाळ दिवस असेल. ती राष्ट्रांची न्यायनिवाडा करण्याची वेळ असेल.
3For near [is] a day, near [is] a day to Jehovah! A day of clouds, the time of nations it is.
4मिसरविरुद्ध तलवार उठेल. मिसरच्या पतनाच्या वेळी कुश देशातील लोकांचा भीतीने थरकाप उडेल. बाबेलचे सैन्य मिसरच्या लोकांना कैदी करुन नेईल. मिसरचा पाया उखडला जाईल.
4And come in hath a sword to Egypt, And there hath been great pain in Cush, In the falling of the wounded in Egypt, And they have taken its store, And broken down have been its foundations.
5“खूप लोकांनी मिसरबरोबर शांतता करार केला. पण ते सर्व म्हणजे कुशी पूटी लूदी, अरेबिया येथील लोक, मिश्र जाती, कूबी आणि इस्राएल लोक यांचा नाश होईल.
5Cush, and Phut, and Lud, and all the mixture, and Chub, And the sons of the land of the covenant with them by sword do fall,
6परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: “मिसरला मदत करणारे आपटतील, त्यांच्या सत्तेचा तोरा उतरेल. मिग्दोलपासून सवेनेपर्यंतचे मिसरचे लोक युद्धात मारले जातील.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, म्हणाला,
6Thus said Jehovah: And — fallen have supporters of Egypt, And come down hath the arrogance of her strength, From Migdol to Syene, by sword they fall in her, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
7मिसर नाश झालेल्या देशांच्या मालिकेत जाऊन बसेल. मिसर त्या ओसाड देशांपैकी एक होईल.
7And they have been desolated in the midst of desolate lands, And its cities are in the midst of wasted cities.
8मी मिसरमध्ये आग लावीन आणि मिसरच्या सर्व सहाय्यकांचा नाश करीन. मगच त्यांना कळेल की मी परमेश्वर आहे.
8And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My giving fire against Egypt, And broken have been all her helpers.
9“त्याच वेळी, मी बाहेर दूत पाठवीन ते जहाजातून कूशला वाईट बातमी सांगण्यासाठी जातील. आता कूशला सुरक्षित वाटते. पण मिसरच्या शिक्षेच्या वेळी कूशमधील लोकांचा भीतीने थरकाप उडेल. ती वेळ येत आहे!
9In that day go forth do messengers from before Me in ships, To trouble confident Cush, And there hath been great pain among them, As the day of Egypt, for lo, it hath come.
10परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणतो की “मिसरच्या लोकांचा नाश करण्यासाठी मी बाबेलचा राजा नबुखद्नेस्सरचा उपयोग करीन.
10Thus said the Lord Jehovah: I have caused the multitude of Egypt to cease, By the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon,
11सर्व राष्ट्रामध्ये, नबुखद्नेस्सर व त्याचे लोक भयंकर आहेत आणि मिसरचा नाश करण्यासाठी मी त्यांना आणीन. ते मिसरविरुद्ध तलवारी उपसतील. ती भूमी प्रेतांनी भरुन टाकतील.
11He and his people with him — the terrible of nations, Are brought in to destroy the land, And they have drawn their swords against Egypt, And have filled the land [with] the wounded.
12मी नाईल नदीला कोरडी करीन आणि ती जागा दुष्टांना विकीन. मी, परमेश्वर, सांगतो की “परक्यांकरवी मी ती भूमी ओसाड करीन.”
12And I have made floods a dry place, And I have sold the land into the hand of evil doers, And I have made desolate the land, And its fulness, by the hand of strangers, I, Jehovah, have spoken.
13परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: “मी मिसरमधील मूर्तींचा सुध्दा नाश करीन. मी नोफातील पुतळे त्यापासून दूर करीन. ह्यापुढे मिसरमध्ये कोणीही नेता नसेल. मी मिसरमध्ये भीतीचे साम्राज्य निर्माण करीन.
13Thus said the Lord Jehovah: And — I have destroyed idols, And caused vain things to cease from Noph, And a prince of the land of Egypt there is no more, And I give fear in the land of Egypt.
14मी पथ्रोसला ओसाड करीन. सोअनास आग लावीन मी नोला शिक्षा करीन.
14And I have made Pathros desolate, And I have given fire against Zoan, And I have done judgments in No,
15मिसरचा गड जो सीन त्यावर मी माझा संपूर्ण राग काढीन. मी नोच्या लोकांचा नाश करीन.
15And I have poured out My fury on Sin, the stronghold of Egypt, And I have cut off the multitude of No.
16मी मिसरला आग लावीन. सीनला खूप वेदना होतील. सैनिक नो शहरात घुसतील आणि नोफाला रोज नव्या नव्या अडचणी येतील.
16And I have given fire against Egypt, Greatly pained is Sin, and No is to be rent, And Noph hath daily distresses.
17आवेन व पी बेसेथ येथील तरुण युद्धात मारले जातील आणि स्त्रियांना धरुन नेतील.
17The youths of Aven and Pi-Beseth by sword do fall, And these into captivity do go.
18ज्या दिवशी मी मिसरचे नियंत्रण मोडीन, तो दिवस तहपन्हेसचा काळा दिवस असेल. मिसरच्या उन्मत्त सत्तेचा अंत होईल. मिसरला ढग झाकेल आणि त्याच्या मुलींना कैद करुन नेले जाईल.
18And in Tehaphnehes hath the day been dark, In My breaking there the yokes of Egypt, And ceased in her hath the excellency of her strength, She — a cloud doth cover her, And her daughters into captivity do go.
19अशा रीतीने, मी मिसरला शिक्षा केल्यावर, त्यांना मी परमेश्वर आहे, हे पटेल.”
19And I have done judgments in Egypt, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah.`
20परागंदा काळातील अकराव्या वर्षांच्यां पहिल्या महिन्याच्या (एप्रिलच्या) सातव्या दिवशी, मला परमेश्वराचा संदेश मिळाला. तो म्हणाला,
20And it cometh to pass, in the eleventh year, in the first [month], in the seventh of the month, hath a word of Jehovah been unto me, saying: `Son of man,
21“मानवपुत्रा, मिसरच्या राजाचा फारोचा हात (सत्ता) मी मोडला आहे. त्याला कोणीही मलमपट्टी करणार नाही व औषधही लावणार नाही. तो बरा होणार नाही. त्यांच्या हाताला तलवार धरण्याची शक्ती येणार नाही.”
21The arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, I have broken, And lo, it hath not been bound up to give healing, To put a bandage to bind it, To strengthen it — to lay hold on the sword.
22परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, “मी मिसरचा राजा फारो याच्याविरुद्ध आहे. मी त्याचे दोन्ही हात एक चांगला असलेला व दुसरा मोडलेला, मोडीन. मी त्याला त्याच्या हातातून तलवार टाकायला भाग पाडीन.
22Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I [am] against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And I have broken his arms, The strong one and the broken one, And have caused the sword to fall out of his hand,
23मी मिसरच्या लोकांना राष्ट्रां-राष्ट्रांत विखरुन टाकीन.
23And scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have spread them through lands,
24मी बाबेलच्या राजाचे हात बळकट करीन. मी माझी तलवार त्याच्या हाती देईन. पण मी फारोचे हात तोडीन. मग तो मरणयातना भोगणाऱ्या माणसाप्रमाणे आक्रोश करील.
24And strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And I have given My sword into his hand, And I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, And he hath groaned the groans of a pierced one — before him.
25मी बाबेलच्या राजाचे हात बळकट करीन, पण फारोचे हात तोडून टाकीन. मग त्यांना समजेल की मी परमेश्वर आहे. “मी माझी तलवार बाबेलच्या राजाला देईन. तो ती मिसरवर उपसेल.
25And I have strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And the arms of Pharaoh do fall down, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah, In My giving My sword into the hand of the king of Babylon, And he hath stretched it out toward the land of Egypt.
26मी मिसरी लोकांना इतर राष्ट्रांत विखरुन टाकेल म्हणजे त्यांना मीच परमेश्वर आहे हे कळेल.”
26And I have scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have spread them through lands, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!`
