1“मानवपुत्रा, माझ्यावतीने इस्राएलमधील पर्वताशी बोल. त्यांना परमेश्वराचे म्हणणे लक्षपूर्वक ऐकायला सांग.
1And thou, son of man, prophesy unto mountains of Israel, and thou hast said, O mountains of Israel, hear a word of Jehovah.
2त्यांना सांग की परमेश्वर आणि प्रभू पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो. ‘शत्रू तुमच्याविषयी वाईट बोलताना सुखावले, ते म्हणाले की अरे वा! आता प्राचीत पर्वत आमचे होतील.’
2Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because the enemy said against you, Aha, and the high places of old for a possession have been to us,
3“म्हणून माझ्यावतीने इस्राएलमधील पर्वतांशी बोल. त्यांना सांग की परमेश्वर आणि प्रभू असे सांगतो ‘शत्रूने तुमची शहरे नष्ट केली, सर्व बाजूंनी तुमच्यावर हल्ला केला. तुम्ही दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रांचे व्हावे म्हणून त्याने असे केले. मग लोक तुमच्याबद्दल चर्चा करतील. तुमची निंदानालस्ती करतील.”
3therefore, prophesy, and thou hast said: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because, even because, of desolating, And of swallowing you up from round about, For your being a possession to the remnant of the nations, And ye are taken up on the tip of the tongue, And [are] an evil report of the people.
4म्हणून, इस्राएलच्या पर्वतांनो, परमेश्वराचे, प्रभूचे, म्हणणे ऐका. परमेश्वर व प्रभू पर्वत, टेकड्या, झरे, दऱ्या उजाड भग्नावशेष, आणि सोडून दिलेली शहरे यांना असे सांगतो की, तुमच्या सभोवतालच्या इतर राष्ट्रांकडून तुम्ही लुबाडले गेलात, त्यांनी तुमची टर उडविली.
4Therefore, O mountains of Israel, Hear a word of the Lord Jehovah: Thus said the Lord Jehovah, to mountains, and to hills, To streams, and to valleys, And to wastes that [are] desolate, And to cities that are forsaken, That have been for a prey, And for a scorn, to the remnant of the nations who [are] round about.
5“म्हणून मी वचन देतो की माझ्या बोलण्यात आवेश असेल. मी अदोम आणि इतर राष्ट्रांना माझा राग जाणवून देईन. माझी जमीन त्या लोकांनी स्वत:साठी घेतली, त्या वेळी त्यांना खूप आनंद झाला. त्यांनी ती फक्त लुटण्यासाठी आणि नाश करण्यासाठी घेतली.”
5Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: Have I not, in the fire of My jealousy, Spoken against the remnant of the nations, And against Edom — all of it, Who gave My land to themselves for a possession, With the joy of the whole heart — with despite of soul, For the sake of casting it out for a prey?
6“म्हणून, परमेश्वर माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: म्हणून माझ्यावतीने इस्राएल देशाशी बोल. पर्वत, टेकड्या, झरे आणि दऱ्या ह्यांच्याशी बोल. त्यांना सांग ‘परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू म्हणतो मी आवेशाने आणि रागाने बोलेन. का? कारण, इतर राष्ट्रांकडून तुम्हाला अपमान सहन करावा लागला.”
6Therefore, prophesy concerning the ground of Israel, And thou hast said to mountains, and to hills, To streams, and to valleys, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Lo, I, in My jealousy, and in My fury, I have spoken, Because the shame of nations ye have borne.
7म्हणून, परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: “मी वचन देतो की तुमच्या भोवतालच्या राष्ट्रांचीही अप्रतीष्ठा होईल.”
7Therefore, thus said the Lord Jehovah: I — I have lifted up My hand, Do not — the nations who [are] with you from round about — they their own shame bear?
8“पण इस्राएलच्या पर्वतांनो, माझ्या लोकांकरिता इस्राएल लोकांसाठी तुम्ही झाडे वाढवाल आणि ती फळांनी बहरतील. माझे लोक लवकरच परत येतील.
8And ye, O mountains of Israel, Your branch ye give out, and your fruits ye bear for My people Israel, For they have drawn near to come.
9मी तुमच्याबरोबर आहे. मी तुम्हाला मदत करीन. लोक तुमच्या जमिनीची मशागत करतील, बी पेरतील.
9For, lo, I [am] for you, and have turned to you, And ye have been tilled and sown.
10तुमच्यावर खूप लोक राहतील. सर्व इस्राएल लोक तेथे राहतील. शहरे लोकांनी गजबजील. नाश झालेली ठिकाणे पुन्हा नव्यासारखी उभारली जातील.
10And I have multiplied on you men, All the house of Israel — all of it, And the cities have been inhabited, And the wastes are built.
11मी तुम्हाला खूप लोक व प्राणी देईन. त्यांची संतती वाढेल पूर्वीप्रमाणे लोक राहू लागतील. मी तुम्हाला, आरंभी होता त्यापेक्षा चांगले करीन. मग तुम्हाला कळेल की मी परमेश्वर आहे.
11And I have multiplied on you man and beast, And they have multiplied and been fruitful, And I have caused you to dwell according to your former states, And I have done better than at your beginnings, And ye have known that I [am] Jehovah.
12हो! मी लोकांना माझ्या माणसांना, हे इस्राएल तुझ्यावरुन चालायला लावीन. ते तुला स्वीकारतील आणि तू त्यांचा होशील, तू पुन्हा त्यांना अपत्यहीन करणार नाहीस.”
12And I have caused man to walk over you, — My people Israel, And they possess thee, and thou hast been to them for an inheritance, And thou dost add no more to bereave them.
13परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: “इस्राएल देश, लोक तुझ्याविषयी वाईट बोलतात. ते म्हणतात की तू तुझ्या लोकांचा नाश केलास, तू मुले दूर नेलीस.
13Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Because they are saying to you: A devourer of men [art] thou, And a bereaver of thy nations thou hast been,
14ण यापुढे तू लोकांचा नाश करणार नाहीस, मुले दूर नेणार नाहीस.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.
14Therefore, man thou devourest no more, And thy nations thou causest not to stumble any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.
15“यापुढे इतर राष्ट्रांना मी अपमान करु देणार नाही. ते तुझी अप्रतिष्ठा करणार नाहीत. तू आणखी तुझी मुले गमावणार नाहीस.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, हे म्हणाला.
15And I proclaim not unto thee any more the shame of the nations, And the reproach of peoples thou bearest no more, And thy nations stumble not any more, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah.`
16मग परमेश्वराचे शब्द मला ऐकू आले, तो म्हणाला,
16And there is a word of Jehovah unto me, saying,
17“मानवपुत्रा, इस्राएलचे लोक त्यांच्या स्वत:च्या देशात राहिले. पण दुष्कृत्ये करुन त्यांनी तो देश गलिच्छ केला. रजस्वला स्त्रीप्रमाणे ते मला अशौच होते.
17`Son of man, The house of Israel are dwelling on their land, And they defile it by their way and by their doings, As the uncleanness of a separated one hath their way been before Me.
18देशात लोकांना ठार करुन त्यांनी त्या भूमीवर रक्त सांडले. त्यांच्या मूर्तीनी देश अमंगळ केला, म्हणून मी त्यांना माझा क्रोध किती आहे ते दाखविले.
18And I do pour out My fury upon them For the blood that they shed on the land, And with their idols they have defiled it.
19मी त्यांना राष्ट्रा-राष्ट्रांत पसरविले आणि सर्व जगात विखरुन टाकले. त्यांच्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल मी त्यांना अशीच शिक्षा केली.
19And I scatter them among nations, And they are spread through lands, According to their way, and according to their doings, I have judged them.
20ते त्या दुसऱ्या राष्ट्रांत गेले. तेथेही त्यांनी माझे पवित्र नाव धुळीला मिळवले, राष्ट्रे त्यांच्याबद्दल बोलली. ती म्हणाली, ‘हा परमेश्वर आहे तरी कसा? हे परमेश्वराचे लोक आहेत, पण त्यांनी त्याची भूमी सोडली.’
20And one goeth in unto the nations whither they have gone, And they pollute My holy name by saying to them, The people of Jehovah [are] these, And from His land they have gone forth.
21“इस्राएलच्या लोकांनी माझे पवित्र नाव बदनाम केले. त्याबद्दल मला खेद वाटला.
21And I have pity on My holy name, That the house of Israel have polluted among nations whither they have gone in.
22म्हणून इस्राएलच्या लोकांना सांग की परमेश्वर, प्रभू पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो ‘इस्राएल लोकानो, तुम्ही जेथे जेथे गेलात, तेथे तेथे तुम्ही माझे पवित्र नाव बदनाम केलेत. हे थांबविण्यासाठी मी काहीतरी करीन. ते मी तुमच्यासाठी म्हणून करणार नाही, तर माझ्या पवित्र नावासाठी करीन.
22Therefore, say to the house of Israel, Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Not for your sake am I working, O house of Israel, But — for My holy name, That ye have polluted among nations whither ye have gone in.
23मी त्या मोठ्या राष्ट्रांना दाखवून देईन की माझे नाव खरोखरच पवित्र आहे. तुम्ही त्या राष्ट्रांत माझ्या पवित्र नावाला कलंक लावलात. पण मी पवित्र आहे. हे मी तुम्हाला दाखवून देईन. मग त्या राष्ट्रांना, मी परमेश्वर असल्याचे, समजेल.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.
23And I have sanctified My great name, That is profaned among nations, That ye have polluted in your midst, And known have the nations that I [am] Jehovah, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, In My being sanctified in you before your eyes.
24देव म्हणाला, “मी तुम्हाला त्या राष्ट्रांतून बाहेर काढून एकत्र करीन आणि तुमच्या देशात तुम्हाला परत आणीन.
24And I have taken you out of the nations, And have gathered you out of all the lands, And I have brought you in unto your land,
25मग तुमच्यावर शुद्ध पाणी शिंपडून मी तुम्हाला शुद्ध करीन. तुमची घाण मी धुवून काढीन. त्या ओंगळ मूर्तीचीही घाण मी धुवून काढीन आणि तुम्हाला शुद्ध करीन.”
25And I have sprinkled over you clean water, And ye have been clean; From all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, I do cleanse you.
26देव म्हणाला, “मी तुमच्यात नवीन आत्मा घालून नवे ह्दय बसवीन तुमचे दगडाचे ह्दय बदलून त्या जागी माणसाचे कोमल ह्दय बसवीन.
26And I have given to you a new heart, And a new spirit I give in your midst, And I have turned aside the heart of stone out of your flesh, And I have given to you a heart of flesh.
27मी माझा आत्मा तुम्हाला देईन. मग तुम्ही बदलाल व माझे नियम पाळाल. काळजीपूर्वक माझ्या आज्ञा पाळाल.
27And My Spirit I give in your midst, And I have done this, so that in My statutes ye walk, And My judgments ye keep, and have done them.
28मग तुम्ही, मी तुमच्या पूर्वजांना दिलेल्या, देशात राहाल. तुम्ही माझे व्हाल व मी तुमचा देव होईल.”
28And ye have dwelt in the land that I have given to your fathers, And ye have been to Me for a people, And I — I am to you for God.
29देव पुढे म्हणाला, “तसेच, मी तुमचे रक्षण करीन व तुम्हाला अपवित्र होऊ देणार नाही. मी पिकांना वाढायची आज्ञा देईन व तुमच्यावर उपासमारीची वेळ येऊ देणार नाही.
29And I have saved you from all your uncleannesses, And I have called unto the corn, and multiplied it, And I have put no famine upon you.
30मी तुमच्या फळबागाचे आणि शेतांचे उत्पादन वाढवीन मग तुम्हाला कधीही परक्या देशात भुकेने व्याकूळ होऊन लज्जित व्हावे लागणार नाही.
30And I have multiplied the fruit of the tree, And the increase of the field, So that ye receive not any more a reproach of famine among nations.
31तुम्ही केलेल्या वाईट गोष्टी तुम्हाला आठवतील. त्या गोष्टी चांगल्या नव्हत्या, हे तुम्हाला स्मरेल. मग तुम्ही केलेल्या पापाबद्दल आणि भयानक कृत्यांबद्दल स्वत:चाच तिरस्कार कराल.”
31And ye have remembered your ways that [are] evil, And your doings that [are] not good, And have been loathsome in your own faces, For your iniquities, and for your abominations.
32परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, म्हणतो, “तुम्ही पुढील गोष्टी लक्षात ठेवाव्या असे मला वाटते. तुमच्या भल्याकरिता मी ह्या गोष्टी करीत नाही. मी माझ्या नावाकरिता त्या करीत आहे म्हणून इस्राएल लोकांनो, तुम्ही ज्या तऱ्हेने जगलात, त्याची तुम्हाला लाज वाटली पाहिजे, तुम्ही ओशाळे झाले पाहिजे.”
32Not for your sake am I working, An affirmation of the Lord Jehovah, Be it known to you, Be ashamed and confounded, because of your ways, O house of Israel.
33परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, “ज्या दिवशी मी तुमची पापे धूवून काढीन, त्या दिवशी मी लोकांना गावांत परत आणीन. विद्ध्वंस झालेली गावे पुन्हा वसविली जातील.
33Thus said the Lord Jehovah: In the day of My cleansing you from all your iniquities, I have caused the cities to be inhabited, And the wastes have been built,
34जी भूमी, तिच्या जवळून जाणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला, भग्नावशेषांच्या ढिगाप्रमाणे दिसत होती, तीच मशागत केल्याप्रमाणे दिसेल.
34And the desolate land is tilled, Instead of which it was a desolation before the eyes of every passer by,
35वाटसरु म्हणतील, ‘पूर्वी, ह्या प्रदेशाचा विद्ध्वंस झाला. पण आता तोच एदेनच्या बागेप्रमाणे झाला आहे. शहरांचा नाश झाला. ती उद्ध्वस्त व ओसाड झाली. पण आता ती सुरक्षित आहेत आणि त्यांत लोकांनी वस्ती केली आहे.”
35And they have said: This land, that was desolated, Hath been as the garden of Eden, And the cities — the wasted, And the desolated, and the broken down, Fenced places have remained.
36देव म्हणाला, “मग तुमच्या सभोवतालच्या राष्ट्रांना कळेल की मीच परमेश्वर आहे आणि मीच नष्ट झालेली ठिकाणे पुन्हा उभारली. ओसाड जमिनीत मी पेरणी केली. मी परमेश्वर आहे. मी हे बोललो, ते मी घडवून आणीन.”
36And known have the nations who are left round about you, That I Jehovah have built the thrown down, I have planted the desolated: I Jehovah have spoken, and I have done [it].
37परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, “इस्राएलचे लोक मला त्यांच्याकरिता पुढील गोष्टी करण्यास सांगतील: त्यांची संख्या मी पुष्कळ मोठी करावी. त्यांना मेंढ्यांच्या कळपाप्रमाणे करावे.
37Thus said the Lord Jehovah: Yet this I am required, By the house of Israel to do to them, I multiply them as a flock of men,
38यरुशलेमच्या खास सणांमध्ये असतात त्याप्रमाणे पवित्र मेंढ्या व बोकडांच्या पुष्कळ कळपांप्रमाणे पुष्कळ लोक तेथे राहतील. गावे व नष्ट झालेल्या जागा लोकांनी गजबजून जातील. मग त्यांना, मी देव आहे हे कळेल.”
38As a flock of holy ones, as a flock of Jerusalem, In her appointed seasons, So are the waste cities full of flocks of men, And they have known that I [am] Jehovah!`
