¹परमेश्वराने पुढील गोष्टी सांगितल्या: “त्या वेळी मी इस्राएलमधील सर्व कुळांचा देव असेन आणि ती सर्व माझी माणसे असतील.”

¹At that time, an affirmation of Jehovah, I am for God to all families of Israel, And they — they are to Me for a people.

²परमेश्वर म्हणतो: “काही लोक शत्रूकडून मारले गेले नव्हते. ते लोक वाळवंटात आश्रय घेतील. इस्राएल विश्रांतीच्या उपेक्षेने तेथे जाईल.”

²Thus said Jehovah: Found grace in the wilderness Hath a people remaining from the sword Going to cause it to rest — Israel.

³खूप लांबून परमेश्वर लोकांना दर्शन देईल. परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “लोकांनो, मी तुमच्यावर प्रेम करतो आणि ते चिरंतर राहील. तुमची निष्ठ मी कायमची सांभाळीन.

³From afar Jehovah hath appeared to me, With love age-during I have loved thee, Therefore I have drawn thee [with] kindness.

⁴“इस्राएल, माझ्या वधू, मी तुझी पुन्हा निर्मिती करीन. तुझ्यातून देश निर्माण करीन. तू तुझी खंजिरी उचलशील आणि मौजमजा करणाऱ्या इतर लोकांबरोबर नृत्यात सामील होशील.

⁴Again do I build thee, And thou hast been built, O virgin of Israel, Again thou puttest on thy tabrets, And hast gone out in the chorus of the playful.

⁵इस्राएलमधील शेतकऱ्यांनो, तुम्ही पुन्हा द्राक्षाच्या बागा लावाल. शोमरोन शहराच्या भोवतालच्या टेकडीवर तुम्ही द्राक्षवेलींची लागवड कराल. त्या द्राक्षमळ्यातील पिकांचा तुम्ही आस्वाद घ्याल.

⁵Again thou dost plant vineyards In mountains of Samaria, Planters have planted, and made common.

⁶अशी एक वेळ येईल की पहारेकरी ओरडून पुढील आदेश देतील. ‘या, आपण परमेश्वर देवाची उपासना करण्यासाठी वर सियोनला जाऊ या.’ एफ्राईम या डोंगराळ प्रदेशातील पहारेकरीसुद्धा ओरडून हा संदेश देतील.”

⁶For there is a day, Cried have watchmen on mount Ephraim, `Rise, and we go up to Zion, unto Jehovah our God;

⁷परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “आनंदित व्हा आणि याकोबासाठी गा. सर्व राष्ट्रांत अग्रेसर असलेल्या इस्राएलचा जयघोष करा. स्तुतिस्तोत्रे गा व ‘परमेश्वराने त्याच्या लोकांना वाचविले असे जाहीर करा. इस्राएलच्या जिवंत राहिलेल्या लोकांचे देवाने रक्षण केले.’

⁷For thus said Jehovah: Sing, O ye to Jacob, [with] joy, And cry aloud at the head of the nations, Sound ye, praise ye, and say, Save, O Jehovah, thy people, the remnant of Israel.

⁸लक्षात ठेवा, मी त्या उत्तरेकडच्या देशातून इस्राएलला आणीन. जगातील दूरदूरच्या ठिकाणाहून मी इस्राएलच्या लोकांना एकत्र करीन. काही लोक आंधळे आणि पंगू असतील. काही बायका गर्भवती असतील आणि त्यांच्या प्रसूतींची वेळ आली असेल. पण खूप खूप लोक परत येतील.

⁸Lo, I am bringing them in from the north country, And have gathered them from the sides of the earth, Among them [are] blind and lame, Conceiving and travailing one — together, A great assembly — they turn back hither.

⁹With weeping they come in, And with supplications I bring them, I cause them to go unto streams of waters, In a right way — they stumble not in it, For I have been to Israel for a father, And Ephraim — My first-born [is] he.

¹⁰“राष्ट्रांनो, परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश ऐका! समुद्राकडील दूरच्या देशांत हा संदेश पोहोचवा. ‘देवाने इस्राएलच्या लोकांना पांगविले. पण देव त्यांना पुन्हा गोळा करील आणि तो आपल्या कळपावर (लोकांवर) मेंढपाळाप्रमाणे लक्ष ठेवील.’

¹⁰Hear a word of Jehovah, O nations, And declare ye among isles afar off, and say: He who is scattering Israel doth gather him, And hath kept him as a shepherd [doth] his flock,

¹¹परमेश्वर याकोबला परत आणील. परमेश्वराच्या लोकांपेक्षा बलवान असलेल्या लोकांपासून परमेश्वर त्याच्या लोकांचे रक्षण करील.

¹¹For Jehovah hath ransomed Jacob, And redeemed him from a hand stronger than he.

¹²इस्राएलचे लोक सियोनच्या शिखरावर येतील आणि आनंदाने आरोळ्या ठोकतील. परमेश्वराने दिलेल्या चांगल्या गोष्टींमुळे त्यांचे चेहरे आनंदाने उजळतील. परमेश्वर त्यांना धान्य, ताजा द्राक्षरस, ताजे तेल, कोकरे आणि गाई देईल. भरपूर पाणी मिळालेल्या बागेप्रमाणे त्यांची स्थिती होईल. इस्राएलच्या लोकांना पुन्हा कधीही त्रास होणार नाही.

¹²And they have come in, And have sung in the high place of Zion, And flowed unto the goodness of Jehovah, For wheat, and for new wine, and for oil, And for the young of the flock and herd, And their soul hath been as a watered garden, And they add not to grieve any more.

¹³मग इस्राएलमधील तरुणी आनंदित होऊन नाचतील आणि तरुण व वृद्ध त्यांच्या नाचात सामील होतील. मी त्यांचे दु:खाचे सुखात रुपांतर करीन. मी इस्राएलच्या लोकांना समाधानात ठेवीन. मी त्यांच्या दु:खाचे सुखात रुपांतर करीन.

¹³Then rejoice doth a virgin in a chorus, Both young men and old men — together, And I have turned their mourning to joy, And have comforted them, And gladdened them above their sorrow,

¹⁴मी याजकांना भरपूर अन्न देईन. मी दिलेल्या चांगल्याचुंगल्या गोष्टींमुळे माझ्या लोकांचे समाधान होईल.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.

¹⁴And satisfied the soul of the priests [with] fatness, And My people with My goodness are satisfied, An affirmation of Jehovah.

¹⁵परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “रामामधून आवाज ऐकू येईल. तो भयंकर आकांत असेल खूप शोक असेल. राहेल आपल्या मुलांसाठी रडेल तिची मुले मेल्यामुळे ती कोणाकडूनही सांत्वन करुन घेणार नाही.”

¹⁵Thus said Jehovah, A voice in Ramah is heard, wailing, weeping most bitter, Rachel is weeping for her sons, She hath refused to be comforted for her sons, because they are not.

¹⁶पण परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “रडू नकोस! तुझे डोळे आसवांनी भरु नकोस तुझ्या कामाबद्दल तुला बक्षीस मिळेल” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे. “इस्राएलचे लोक त्यांच्या शत्रूंच्या देशातून परत येतील.

¹⁶Thus said Jehovah: Withhold thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears, For there is a reward for thy work, An affirmation of Jehovah, And they have turned back from the land of the enemy.

¹⁷इस्राएल, तुला आशा आहे.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे. “तुझी मुले त्यांच्या स्वत:च्या देशात परत येतील.

¹⁷And there is hope for thy latter end, An affirmation of Jehovah, And the sons have turned back [to] their border.

¹⁸एफ्राईमला रडताना मी ऐकले आहे. एफ्राईमला मी पुढील गोष्टी बोलताना ऐकले आहे. ‘परमेश्वर तू खरोखरच मला शिक्षा केलीस आणि मी धडा शिकलो. मी बेबंद वासराप्रमाणे होतो. कृपा करुन मला शिक्षा करण्याचे थांबव. मी तुझ्याकडे परत येईन. तू खरोखरच, परमेश्वर, माझा देव आहेस.

¹⁸I have surely heard Ephraim bemoaning himself, `Thou hast chastised me, And I am chastised, as a heifer not taught, Turn me back, and I turn back, For thou [art] Jehovah my God.

¹⁹परमेश्वरा, मी तुझ्यापासून भटकले होते. पण मी केलेली पापे मला कळली, म्हणून मी माझे मन आणि जीवन बदलले. मी तरुण असताना केलेल्या मूर्खपणाच्या गोष्टींची मला लाज वाटते. त्यामुळे मला ओशाळे वाटते.”

¹⁹For after my turning back I repented, And after my being instructed I struck on the thigh, I have been ashamed, I have also blushed, For I have borne the reproach of my youth.

²⁰देव म्हणतो, “एफ्राईम माझा लाडका मुलगा आहे, हे तुम्हांला माहीतच आहे मी त्याच्यावर प्रेम करतो. हो! मी नेहमीच एफ्राईमवर टीका केली. पण तरीही मला त्याची आठवण येते. तो मला अतिशय प्रिय आहे आणि मी खरोखरच त्यांच्यावर दया करतो.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.

²⁰A precious son is Ephraim to Me? A child of delights? For since My speaking against him, I do thoroughly remember him still, Therefore have My bowels been moved for him, I do greatly love him, An affirmation of Jehovah.

²¹“इस्राएलच्या लोकानो, रस्त्यांवर खुणांचे फलक लावा. घराकडे जाणाऱ्या वाटेवर खूण करा. वाटेवर लक्ष ठेवा. तुम्ही ज्या रस्त्यावरुन जात आहात. त्याचे स्मरण ठेवा. इस्राएल माझ्या पत्नी, घरी ये. तुझ्या गावांना परत ये.

²¹Set up for thee signs, make for thee heaps, Set thy heart to the highway, the way thou wentest, Turn back, O virgin of Israel, Turn back unto these thy cities.

²²तू विश्वासघातकी मुलगी होतीस. पण तू बदलशील. तू घरी येण्याआधी किती वेळ वाट बघशील?” “परमेश्वराने अघटित निर्माण केले आहे. स्त्रीला पुरुषाभोवती फिरु दिले. “

²²Till when dost thou withdraw thyself, O backsliding daughter? For Jehovah hath prepared a new thing in the land, Woman doth compass man.

²³“सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, इस्राएलचा देव म्हणतो, “यहूदाच्या लोकांसाठी मी पुन्हा चांगल्या गोष्टी करीन. कैदी म्हणून नेलेल्या लोकांना परत आणीन. त्या वेळी, यहूदाच्या शहरांत व गावांत राहणारे सर्व लोक म्हणतील, ‘सदगृह, पवित्र पर्वतावर, परमेश्वर तुझे कल्याण करो! “

²³Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel, Still they say this word in the land of Judah, And in its cities, In My turning back [to] their captivity, Jehovah doth bless thee, habitation of righteousness, Mountain of holiness.

²⁴“यहूदातील सर्व गावांतील लोक एकत्र येतील व तेथे शांतता नांदेल. यहुदामधील शेतकरी आणि (मेंढ्यांचे) कळप घेऊन फिरणारे सर्वजण शांतीने राहतील.

²⁴And dwelt in Judah have husbandmen, and in all its cities together, And they have journeyed in order.

²⁵दुबळ्या आणि थकलेल्या लोकांना मी आराम आणि शक्ती देईन. मी दु:खितांच्या इच्छा पुऱ्या करीन.”

²⁵For I have satiated the weary soul, And every grieved soul I have filled.`

²⁶हे ऐकल्यानंतर, मी (यिर्मया) उठलो, आणि आजूबाजूला पाहिले. ती खरोखरच फार सुखद निद्रा होती.

²⁶On this I have awaked, and I behold, and my sleep hath been sweet to me.

²⁷“असे दिवस येतील,” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे. “की तेव्हा मी यहूदाच्या व इस्राएलच्या घराण्यांची वृद्धी होण्यास मदत करीन. मी त्यांच्या मुलांची व गुराढोरांचीही वृद्धी होण्यास मदत करीन. हे सर्व जणू काही झाडे लावून त्याची निगा राखण्यासारखे असेल.

²⁷Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have sown the house of Israel, And the house of Judah, With seed of man, and seed of beast.

²⁸पूर्वी मी यहूदा आणि इस्राएल यांच्यावर लक्ष ठेवले. व त्यांना उपटून काढण्यासाठी योग्य वेळ येण्याची वाट पाहिली मी त्यांना फाडून काढले. मी त्यांचा नाश केला. मी त्यांच्यावर खूप संकटे आणली. पण आता, त्यांनी पुन्हा उभे राहावे व सामर्थ्यवान व्हावे म्हणून लक्ष ठेवीन.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे.

²⁸And it hath been, as I watched over them to pluck up, And to break down, and to throw down, And to destroy, and to afflict; So do I watch over them to build, and to plant, An affirmation of Jehovah.

²⁹“आई-वडिलांनी आंबट द्राक्षे खाल्ली, पण त्याची चव मात्र मुलांना चाखावी लागली. ही म्हण लोक पुन्हा कधीही वापरणार नाहीत.

²⁹In those days they do not say any more: Fathers have eaten unripe fruit, And the sons` teeth are blunted.

³⁰प्रत्येकजण आपल्या पापाने मरेल. जो आंबट द्राक्षे खाईल, तोच त्याची चव चाखील.”

³⁰But — each for his own iniquity doth die, Every man who is eating the unripe fruit, Blunted are his teeth.

³¹परमेश्वराने पुढील गोष्टी सांगितल्या: “मी इस्राएलच्या व यहूदाच्या घराण्याशी नवा करार करण्याची वेळ येत आहे.

³¹Lo, days are coming, an affirmation of Jehovah, And I have made with the house of Israel And with the house of Judah a new covenant,

³²मी त्यांच्या पूर्वजांशी केलेल्या कराराप्रमाणे तो असणार नाही. जेव्हा मी त्यांना हाताला धरुन मिसरच्या बाहेर आणले होते, तेव्हा तो करार केला होता. तेव्हा मी त्यांचा स्वामी होतो. पण त्यांनी त्या कराराचा भंग केला.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे.

³²Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, In the day of My laying hold on their hand, To bring them out of the land of Egypt, In that they made void My covenant, And I ruled over them — an affirmation of Jehovah.

³³“भविष्यात, मी इस्राएलच्या लोकांबरोबर पुढीलप्रमाणे करार करीन.” हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे. “मी माझी शिकवण त्यांच्या मनावर बिंबवीन आणि त्यांच्या हृदयावर कोरीन. मी त्यांचा देव असेन व ते माझे लोक असतील.

³³For this [is] the covenant that I make, With the house of Israel, after those days, An affirmation of Jehovah, I have given My law in their inward part, And on their heart I do write it, And I have been to them for God, And they are to me for a people.

³⁴लोकांना, त्यांच्या शेजाऱ्यांना आणि नातेवाईकांना परमेश्वराची ओळख करुन द्यावी लागणार नाही. का? कारण सर्वजण, लहानापासून थोरापर्यंत राजापासून रंकापर्यंत, मला ओळखत असतील.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे. “त्यांनी केलेल्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल मी त्यांना क्षमा करीन. मी त्यांच्या पापांचे स्मरण ठेवणार नाही.”

³⁴And they do not teach any more Each his neighbour, and each his brother, Saying, Know ye Jehovah, For they all know Me, from their least unto their greatest, An affirmation of Jehovah; For I pardon their iniquity, And of their sin I make mention no more.

³⁵परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “परमेश्वर दिवसा सूर्याला प्रकाशित करतो आणि रात्री चंद्र व तारे यांना प्रकाशित करतो. परमेश्वर समुद्र घुसळतो म्हणून समुद्राच्या लाटा किनाऱ्यावर आदळतात. सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर असे त्याला म्हणतात.”

³⁵Thus said Jehovah, Who is giving the sun for a light by day, The statutes of moon and stars for a light by night, Quieting the sea when its billows roar, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name:

³⁶परमेश्वर पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, “इस्राएलचे वंशज कधीही राष्ट्र बनल्याखेरीज राहणार नाहीत. सूर्य, चंद्र, तारे व समुद्र ह्यांच्यावरील माझे नियंत्रण ढळले, तरच असे होणे शक्य आहे.”

³⁶If these statutes depart from before Me, An affirmation of Jehovah, Even the seed of Israel doth cease From being a nation before Me all the days.

³⁷परमेश्वरा म्हणतो, “मी इस्राएलच्या वंशजांना कधीही नाकारणार नाही. लोक जर आकाशाचे मोजमाप करु शकले किवा पृथ्वीच्या पोटातील सर्व रहस्ये जाणू शकले, तरच हे घडणे शक्य आहे. तरच मी इस्राएलच्या वंशजाना नाकारीन. त्यानी केलेल्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल मगच मी त्यांना दूर करीन.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश आहे.

³⁷Thus said Jehovah: If the heavens above be measured, And the foundations of earth below searched, Even I kick against all the seed of Israel, For all that they have done, An affirmation of Jehovah.

³⁸“असे दिवस येत आहेत की, हा परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश आहे परमेश्वरासाठी यरुशलेम नगरी पुन्हा उभारली जाईल. हानानेलच्या बुरुजापासून कोपऱ्याच्या दारापर्यंत सगळी नगरी पुन्हा उभारली जाईल.

³⁸Lo, days [are coming], an affirmation of Jehovah, And the city hath been built to Jehovah, From the tower of Hananeel to the gate of the corner.

³⁹ओळंबा कोपऱ्याच्या दारापासून थेट गारेबच्या टेकडीपर्यंत जाईल आणि तेथून गवाथकडे वळेल.

³⁹And gone out again hath the measuring line Over-against it, unto the height of Gareb, And it hath compassed to Goah.

⁴⁰ज्या दरीत प्रेते व राख टाकली जाते, ती परमेश्वराला पवित्र वाटेल. ह्यात पूर्वेकडच्या किद्रोन दरीपासून घोडे दाराच्या कोपऱ्यापर्यंतच्या पठाराचा समावेश असेल. हा सर्व प्रदेश परमेश्वराला पवित्र वाटेल. यरुशलेमचा पुन्हा कधीही विध्वंस केला जाणार नाही वा तिचा नाश होणार नाही.”

⁴⁰And all the valley of the carcases and of the ashes, And all the fields unto the brook Kidron, Unto the corner of the horse-gate eastward, [Are] holy to Jehovah, it is not plucked up, Nor is it thrown down any more to the age!
