1हा संदेश मवाब देशासाठी आहे सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर, इस्राएलच्या लोकांचा देव असे म्हणतो: “नबो पर्वताला वाईट काळ येईल. त्याचा नाश होईल किर्याथाईमचा गर्व उत्तरेल ते काबीज केले जाईल मजबूत ठिकाणे वाकतील त्यांचे शतश: तुकडे होतील.
1Concerning Moab: `Thus said Jehovah of Hosts, God of Israel: Wo unto Nebo, for it is spoiled, Put to shame, captured hath been Kiriathaim, Put to shame hath been the high tower, Yea, it hath been broken down.
2पुन्हा कधीही मवाबची स्तुती ऐकू येणार नाही. हेशबोनमधील लोक मवाबच्या पाडावाचा बेत आखतील ते म्हणतील, ‘या, आपण त्या देशाचा शेवट करु या.’ मदमेना, तू सुद्धा शांत होशील, तलवार तुझा पाठलाग करील.
2There is no more praise of Moab, In Heshbon they devised against it evil: Come, and we cut it off from [being] a nation, Also, O Madmen, thou art cut off, After thee goeth a sword.
3होरोनाईमचा आक्रोश ऐका. तो गोंधळाचा व प्रंचड नाशाचा आवाज आहे.
3A voice of a cry [is] from Horonaim, Spoiling and great destruction.
4मवाबचा नाश होईल. तिची लहान मुले मदतीसाठी आक्रोश करतील.
4Destroyed hath been Moab, Caused a cry to be heard have her little ones.
5मवाबचे लोक लूहीथच्या रस्त्याने वर जाताना मोठ्याने रडत आहेत. खाली, होरोनाईमच्या रस्त्यांवर यातनांचे व दु:खाचे विव्हळणे ऐकू येते.
5For the ascent of Luhith with weeping, Go up doth weeping, For in the descent of Horonaim Adversaries a cry of desolation have heard.
6पळा! जीव वाचविण्यासाठी पळा! वाळवंटातून उडणाऱ्या झुडुपाप्रमाणे पळा!
6Flee ye, deliver yourselves, Ye are as a naked thing in a wilderness.
7तुम्ही घडविलेल्या गोष्टी व तुमची संपत्ती यावर तुम्ही भिस्त ठेवता, म्हणून तुम्ही पकडले जाल. कमोश दैवत कैद केले जाईल आणि त्याच्याबरोबर त्याचे पुरोहित व अधिकारी यांनाही नेले जाईल.
7For, because of thy trusting in thy works, And in thy treasures, even thou art captured, And gone out hath Chemosh in a removal, His priests and his heads together.
8प्रत्येक गावावर विध्वंसक येईल. त्यातून एकही गाव सुटणार नाही. दरीचा नाश होईल. पठाराचाही नाश केला जाईल परमेश्वराने हे घडणार म्हणून सांगितले आहे, तेव्हा तसे घडणारच.
8And come in doth a spoiler unto every city, And no city doth escape, And perished hath the valley, And destroyed been the plain, as Jehovah said.
9मवाबच्या शेतांवर मीठ पसरा. देशाचे ओसाड वाळवंट होईल. मवाबची शहरे निर्जन होतील. तेथे कोणीही राहणार नाही.
9Give wings to Moab, for she utterly goeth out, And her cities are for a desolation, Without an inhabitant in them.
10जो कोणी ‘त्या’ लोकांना मारण्यासाठी आपल्या तलवारीचा उपयोग करीत नसेल, त्याचे वाईट होईल.
10Cursed [is] he who is doing the work of Jehovah slothfully, And cursed [is] he Who is withholding his sword from blood.
11मवाबला त्रास माहीत नाही मवाब मुरायला ठेवलेल्या मद्याप्राणे आहे. त्याला कधी एका रांजणातून दुसऱ्या रांजणात ओतलेले नाही. त्याला कधी कैद झालेली नाही. म्हणून त्याची चव कायम आहे आणि त्याच्या वासात फरक नाही.”
11Secure is Moab from his youth, And at rest [is] he for his preserved things, And he hath not been emptied out from vessel unto vessel, And into captivity he hath not gone, Therefore hath his taste remained in him, And his fragrance hath not been changed.
12देव असे म्हणतो, “तुझ्या रांजणातून तुला ओतून टाकण्यासाठी मी लवकरच माणसे पाठवीन. ते रांजण रिकामे करुन त्याचे तुकडे करतील.”
12Therefore, lo, days are coming, An affirmation of Jehovah, And I have sent to him wanderers, And they have caused him to wander, And his vessels they empty out, And his bottles they dash in pieces.
13मग दैवत कमोश याची मवाबच्या लोकांना लाज वाटेल इस्राएलच्या लोकांनी बेथेल येथील दैवतांवर भिस्त ठेवली आणि त्याने त्यांना काहीच मदत केली नाही. म्हणून ते खजील झाले मवाबचेही तसेच होईल.
13And ashamed hath been Moab because of Chemosh, As the house of Israel have been ashamed Because of Beth-El their confidence.
14“आम्ही चांगले सैनिक व शूरवीर आहोत’ असे तुम्ही म्हणू शकत नाही.
14How do ye say, We [are] mighty, And men of strength for battle?
15शत्रू मवाबवर हल्ला करील. तो शहरात शिरुन त्यांचा नाश करील. कत्तलीत तिचे उत्तम तरुण मारले जातील.” हा राजाचा संदेश आहे, आणि राजाचे नाव आहे सर्वशक्तिमान परमेश्वर.
15Spoiled is Moab, and her cities hath one gone up, And the choice of its young men Have gone down to slaughter, An affirmation of the King, Jehovah of Hosts [is] His name.
16“मवाबचा शेवट जवळ आला आहे लवकरच तिचा नाश होईल.
16Near is the calamity of Moab to come, And his affliction hath hasted exceedingly.
17त्या देशाभोवती राहणाऱ्यांनी त्यासाठी शोक करावा. तुम्हाला मवाबची किर्ती माहीत आहे. म्हणून त्याच्यासाठी शोक करा. म्हणा, ‘राजाची सत्ता संपली मवाबचे सामर्थ्य व वैभव गेले’
17Bemoan for him, all ye round about him, And all knowing his name, say ye: How hath it been broken, the staff of strength, The rod of beauty.
18“दोबोनच्या रहिवाशांनो, आपापल्या मानाच्या जागा खाली करा. जमिनीवर धुळीत बसा. का? कारण मवाबचा विनाश करणारा येत आहे, आणि तो तुमची मजबूत शहेर नष्ट करील.
18Come down from honour, sit in thirst, O inhabitant, daughter of Dibon, For a spoiler of Moab hath come up to thee, He hath destroyed thy fenced places.
19“अरोएरच्या रहिवाशांनो, रस्त्याच्या कडेला उभे राहून पाहा! पाहा! माणसे पळून जात आहेत पाहा! स्त्रियाही पळून जात आहेत त्यांना काय झाले ते विचारा
19On the way stand, and watch, O inhabitant of Aroer, Ask the fugitive and escaped, Say, What hath happened?
20“मवाबचा नाश होईल त्याची फजिती होईल. मवाब आक्रोश करील. मवाबचा नाश झाला असे आर्णोन नदीकाठच्या प्रदेशात जाहीर करा.
20Put to shame hath been Moab, For it hath been broken down, Howl and cry, declare ye in Arnon, For spoiled is Moab,
21उंच पठारावरील लोकांना शिक्षा केली जाईल. होलोन, याहस व मेफाथ ह्या शहरांचा न्यायनिवाडा झाला आहे.
21And judgment hath come in unto the land of the plain — unto Holon, And unto Jahazah, and on Mephaath,
22दीबोन, नबे, बेथ-दिबलाथाईम ह्याही शहरांचा निवाडा झाला आहे.
22And on Dibon, and on Nebo, And on Beth-Diblathaim, and on Kirathaim,
23किर्याथाईम, बेथ-गामूल व बेथ मौन यांचा निकाल लागला आहे.
23And on Beth-Gamul, and on Beth-Meon,
24करीयोथ, बसरा व मवाबमधील दूरची व जवळची शहरे यांचा न्यायनिवाडा झाला आहे.
24And on Kerioth, and on Bozrah, And on all cities of the land of Moab, The far off and the near.
25मवाबची शक्ती तोडण्यात आली आहे. मवाबचे हात मोडले आहेत.” परमेश्वरानेच ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.
25Cut down hath been the horn of Moab, And his arm hath been broken, An affirmation of Jehovah.
26“मवाब परमेश्वरापेक्षा स्वत:ला श्रेष्ठ समजला म्हणून, तो, मद्यप्याप्रमाणे झोकांड्या खाईपर्यंत त्याला शिक्षा करा. तो स्वत:च्याच वांतीत पडून लोळेल. लोक त्याची टर उडवतील.
26Declare ye him drunk, For against Jehovah he made himself great And Moab hath stricken in his vomit, And he hath been for a derision — even he.
27“मवाब, तू इस्राएलची चेष्टा केलीस इस्राएल चोरांमध्ये पकडला गेला का? इस्राएलबद्दल बोलताना, प्रत्येक वेळी, तू मान हलवून, स्वत: इस्राएलपेक्षा चांगला असल्याचा अभिनय केलास.
27And was not Israel the derision to thee? Among thieves was he found? For since thy words concerning him, Thou dost bemoan thyself.
28मवाबवासीयांनो, तुमची गावे सोडा, जाऊन कडेकपारीत राहा गुहेच्या तोंडाशी घरटे करणाऱ्या पारव्यांप्रमाणे व्हा.”
28Forsake cities, and dwell in a rock, Ye inhabitants of Moab, And be as a dove making a nest in the passages of a pit`s mouth.
29“आम्ही मवाबच्या गर्वाविषयी ऐकले आहे. तो फारच गर्विष्ठ होता. तो स्वत:ला विशेष समजे. तो नेहमी बढाया मारीत असे. तो फारच दुराभिमानी होता.”
29We have heard of the arrogance of Moab, Exceeding proud! His haughtiness, and his arrogance, And his pride, and the height of his heart,
30परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “मवाबला अकारण राग येतो आणि तो स्वत:बद्दल बढाया मारतो हे मला ठाऊक आहे. पण त्याच्या फुशारक्या खोट्या आहेत. तो बोलल्याप्रमाणे करु शकत नाही.
30I — I have known, an affirmation of Jehovah, His wrath, and [it is] not right, His devices — not right they have done.
31म्हणून मला मवाबसाठी रडू येते. मला त्या देशातील प्रत्येकाबद्दल वाईट वाटते. कीर हरेसमधील लोकांबद्दल मला वाईट वाटते.
31Therefore for Moab I howl, even for Moab — all of it, I cry for men of Kir-Heres, it doth mourn,
32याजेरसाठी मी तेथील लोकांबरोबर शोक करतो. सिबा, पूर्वी तुझ्या द्राक्षवेली पार समुद्रापर्यंत पसरल्या होत्या त्या पार याजेरपर्यंत पोहोचल्या होत्या; पण विनाशकाने तुझी फळे व द्राक्षे नेली आहेत.
32With the weeping of Jazer, I weep for thee, O vine of Sibmah, Thy branches have passed over a sea, Unto the sea of Jazer they have come, On thy summer fruits, and on thy harvest, A spoiler hath fallen.
33मवाबच्या विस्तीर्ण द्राक्षमळ्यातून आनंद व सुख निघून गेले. द्राक्षकुंडातील द्राक्षरसाचा प्रवाह मी अडविला आहे. द्राक्षरस काढण्यासाठी द्राक्षे तुडविताना लोक गात वा नाचत नाहीत. तेथे हर्षकल्लोळ नाहीत.
33And removed hath been joy and gladness From the fruitful field, Even from the land of Moab, And wine from wine-presses I have caused to cease, Shouting doth not proceed, The shouting [is] no shouting!
34“हेशबोन एलाले येथील लोक रडत आहेत. त्यांचे रडणे पार याहसपर्यंत, सोअरपासून होरानाईम व एग्लाथशलिशीयापर्यंत ऐकू येते. एवढेच नव्हे तर, निर्मीमचे पाणी सुद्धा आटले आहे.
34Because of the cry of Heshbon unto Elealeh, Unto Jahaz they have given their voice, From Zoar unto Horonaim, A heifer of the third [year], For even waters of Nimrim become desolations.
35मी मवाबला उच्चासनी त्याच्या दैवताला अर्पण करु देणार नाही.” परमेश्वराने असे सांगितले.
35And I have caused to cease to Moab, An affirmation of Jehovah, Him who is offering in a high place, And him who is making perfume to his god.
36“मला मवाबचे फार वाईट वाटते. बासरीतून शोकसंगीताचे सूर बाहेर पडावेत, त्याप्रमाणे माझे मन रडते. मला कीर हरेसच्या लोकांबद्दल दु:ख वाटते. त्यांचा पैसा, संपत्ती सर्व काही हिरावून घेतले गेले.
36Therefore my heart for Moab as pipes doth sound, And my heart for men of Kir-Heres As pipes doth sound, Therefore the abundance he made did perish.
37प्रत्येकाने मुंडन व दाढी केली आहे. प्रत्येकाचा हात कापला आहे व त्यातून रक्त वाहत आहे. प्रत्येकजण शोकप्रवर्तक वस्त्रे कमरे भोवती गुंडाळत आहे.
37For every head [is] bald, and every beard diminished, On all hands cuttings, and on the loins — sackcloth.
38मवाबमध्ये प्रत्येक घराच्या धाब्यावर आणि प्रत्येक सार्वजनिक स्थानी, लोक मृतांसाठी शोक करीत आहेत. मी रिकामा रांजण फोडावा त्याप्रमाणे मवाबला फोडले, म्हणून सर्वत्र दु:ख झाले आहे.” परमेश्वराने ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.
38On all roofs of Moab, and in her broad-places, All of it — [is] lamentation, For I have broken Moab as a vessel in which there is no pleasure, An affirmation of Jehovah.
39“मवाबचे तुकडे केले गेले. लोक रडत आहेत. मवाब शरण आला. आता तो खजील झाला आहे. लोक त्याची खिल्ली उडवितात खरे, पण घडलेल्या गोष्टीमुळे ते भयभीतही होतात.”
39How hath it been broken down! they have howled, How hath Moab turned the neck ashamed, And Moab hath been for a derision. And for a terror to all round about her.
40परमेश्वर म्हणतो, “पाहा! शत्रू गरुडाप्रमाणे खाली झेपावत आहे. तो त्याचे पंख मवाबवर पसरवीत आहे.
40For thus said Jehovah: Lo, as an eagle he doth flee, And hath spread his wings unto Moab.
41मवाबची शहरे काबीज केली जातील. लपण्याच्या भक्कम जागांचा पाडाव होईल. त्या वेळी, मवाबचे सैनिक, प्रसूत होणाऱ्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे भयभीत होतील.
41Captured have been the cities, And the strongholds are caught, And the heart of the mighty of Moab Hath been in that day as the heart of a distressed woman.
42मवाब या राष्ट्राचा नाश होईल. का? कारण त्याने स्वत:ला परमेश्वरापेक्षा श्रेष्ठ मानले.”
42And Moab hath been destroyed from [being] a people, For against Jehovah he exerted himself.
43परमेश्वर पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो: “मवाबवासीयांनो, भीती, गर्ता आणि सापळे तुमची वाट पाहात आहेत.
43Fear, and a snare, and a gin, [are] for thee, O inhabitant of Moab — an affirmation of Jehovah,
44लोक घाबरुन पळतील ते गर्तेत पडतील एखादा त्यातून वर आलाच, तर तो सापळ्यात सापडेल मी मवाबवर शिक्षेचे वर्ष आणीन.” परमेश्वराने असे सांगितले.
44Whoso is fleeing because of the fear falleth into the snare, And whoso is coming up from the snare is captured by the gin, For I bring in unto her — unto Moab — The year of their inspection, An affirmation of Jehovah.
45“लोक शक्तिशाली शत्रूपासून पळाले आहेत ते सुरक्षेतेसाठी हेशबोनला पळाले पण तेथे सुरक्षा नव्हती. हेशबोनमध्ये आग लागली सीहोनच्या गावात आग लागली आणि ती मवाबच्या नेत्यांचा नाश करीत आहे. ती त्या गर्विष्ठ लोकांचा नाश करीत आहे.
45In the shadow of Heshbon stood powerless have fugitives, For fire hath gone forth from Heshbon, And a flame from within Sihon, And it consumeth the corner of Moab, And the crown of the sons of Shaon.
46मवाब, तुझे वाईट होणार. कमोशच्या लोकांचा नाश होत आहे. तुझी मुलेमुली बंदिवान म्हणून वा कैदी म्हणून नेली जात आहेत.
46Wo to thee, O Moab, Perished hath the people of Chemosh, For thy sons were taken with the captives, And thy daughters with the captivity.
47“मवाबचे लोक कैदी म्हणून नेले जातील पण पुढील दिवसांत मी त्यांना परत आणीन.” हा परमेश्वराचा संदेश होता. येथे मवाबचा न्यायनिवाडा संपतो
47And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Moab, In the latter end of the days, An affirmation of Jehovah! Hitherto [is] the judgment of Moab.
