1जर मग ख्रिस्तात तुमच्यामध्ये काही उत्तेजन आहे, जर तुमच्यामध्ये तुमच्या प्रीतितून वाढणारे सांत्वन आहे, जर तुमच्यामध्ये आत्म्यात काही भाग आहे, जर तुमच्यामध्ये जिव्हाळा व कळवळा आहे,
1If, then, any exhortation [is] in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any bowels and mercies,
2तर मला पूर्णपणे आनंदी करा. मी सांगतो की, तुम्ही त्याच गोष्टीचा विचार करता, एकमेकांविषयी सारखेच प्रेम आहे तर आत्म्यात एक व्हा, आणि एकच उद्देश असू द्या.
2fulfil ye my joy, that ye may mind the same thing — having the same love — of one soul — minding the one thing,
3हेवा किंवा पोकळ व्यर्थ अभिमानाने काहीही करु नका. उलट नम्रतेने एकमेकांना स्वत:पेक्षा चांगले माना.
3nothing in rivalry or vain-glory, but in humility of mind one another counting more excellent than yourselves —
4प्रत्येक व्यक्तीने केवळ आपलेच हित पाहू नये, तर प्रत्येकाने दुसऱ्यांचे हितसुद्धा पाहावे.
4each not to your own look ye, but each also to the things of others.
5ख्रिस्त येशूच्या ठायी जे विचार होते तसेच तुमचेही असू द्या.
5For, let this mind be in you that [is] also in Christ Jesus,
6जरी तो देवाच्या स्वरुपाचा होता तरी देवासारखे असणे हे संपत्ती राखून ठेवण्यासारखे मानले नाही.
6who, being in the form of God, thought [it] not robbery to be equal to God,
7उलट त्याने सर्व काही सोडून दोल, आणि त्याने गुलामाचे स्वरुप धारण केले आणि मनुष्याचे रुप धारण केले व तो आपल्या दिसण्यात मनुष्यासारखा झाला.
7but did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made,
8त्याने स्वत:ला नम्र केले. आणि मरेपर्यंत तो आज्ञाधारक राहिला. होय, वधस्तंभावरच्या मरणापर्यंत तो नम्र झाला.
8and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death — death even of a cross,
9म्हणून देवाने सुद्धा त्याला अत्युच्च केले, व सर्व नावाहून जे नाव श्रष्ठ आहे ते त्याला दिले.
9wherefore, also, God did highly exalt him, and gave to him a name that [is] above every name,
10यासाठी की, स्वर्गात, पृथ्वीवर व पृथ्वीखाली जे आहेत त्या सर्वांनी येशूच्या नावाच्या महिम्यासाठी गुडघे टेकावेत.
10that in the name of Jesus every knee may bow — of heavenlies, and earthlies, and what are under the earth —
11व प्रत्येक जिभेने जाहीर करावे की, “येशू खिस्त हा देव पिता आहे.”
11and every tongue may confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
12म्हणून माझ्या प्रियांनो, जसे तुम्ही मी प्रत्यक्ष असतानाच नव्हे तर आता दूर असतानासुद्धा आज्ञा पाळता तसे भीतीने कापत तुमचे तारण पूर्ण होण्यासाठी कार्य करीत राहा.
12So that, my beloved, as ye always obey, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, with fear and trembling your own salvation work out,
13कारण देवच असा एक आहे जो तुमच्यामध्ये कार्य करण्याची इच्छा निर्माण करतो व तो संतुष्ट होईल अशा रीतीने कार्य पूर्णत्वास नेतो.
13for God it is who is working in you both to will and to work for His good pleasure.
14प्रत्येक गोष्ट तक्रार किंवा भांडण न करता करा, यासाठी की,
14All things do without murmurings and reasonings,
15तुम्ही निर्दोष व शुद्ध असे या कुटिल व विपरीत पिढीतील लोकांमध्ये असावे. आणि त्यांच्यामध्ये अंधाऱ्या जगातील प्रकाशासारखे चमकावे.
15that ye may become blameless and harmless, children of God, unblemished in the midst of a generation crooked and perverse, among whom ye do appear as luminaries in the world,
16तुम्ही त्यांना जीवनाचे वजन सांगत असता, माझे शर्यतीत धावणे व्यर्थ झाले नाही असे मला दिसते, यासाठी की ख्रिस्ताच्या परत येण्याच्या दिवशी मला तुमचा अभिमान वाटावा.
16the word of life holding forth, for rejoicing to me in regard to a day of Christ, that not in vain did I run, nor in vain did I labour;
17तुमच्या यज्ञार्पणासमवेत तसेच तुमच्या विश्वासाच्या सेवेसमवेत जरी मी अर्पिला गेलो तरी ते आनंदाने करतो आणि तुमच्या समवेत आनंदी बनतो.
17but if also I am poured forth upon the sacrifice and service of your faith, I rejoice and joy with you all,
18त्याच प्रकारे, तुम्हीसुद्धा आनंदी असावे, आणि तुमच्या आनंदात मला सहभागी करावे.
18because of this do ye also rejoice and joy with me.
19पण मला आशा आहे, प्रभु येशूच्या साहाय्यने मी लवकरच तीमथ्यीला तुमच्याकडे पाठवीन यासाठी की, तुमच्याविषयीच्या बातमीने मला उत्तेजन मिळावे.
19And I hope, in the Lord Jesus, Timotheus to send quickly to you, that I also may be of good spirit, having known the things concerning you,
20तोच एक आहे ज्याला पाठविण्याची माझी इच्छा आहे कारण माझ्यासारख्याच भावना असणारा दुसरा कोणी माझ्याजवळ नाही आणि त्याला तुमच्या कल्याणाची मनापासून कळकळ आहे.
20for I have no one like-minded, who sincerely for the things concerning you will care,
21सर्व जण त्यांच्या हिताकडेच लक्ष देतात व ख्रिस्ताच्या हिताकडे लक्ष देत नाहीत.
21for the whole seek their own things, not the things of the Christ Jesus,
22आणि तुम्हांला त्याचा स्वभाव माहीत आहे, सुवार्ता वाढविण्यासाठी जसे मुलगा पित्याची सेवा करतो तशी त्याने त्याच्या योग्यतेने माझ्याबरोबर सेवा केली आहे.
22and the proof of him ye know, that as a child [serveth] a father, with me he did serve in regard to the good news;
23त्याला तुमच्याकडे पाठविण्याविषयी मी आशा करीत आहे. माझ्याबाबतीत काय होते ते कळताच त्याला तुमच्याकडे पाठविन.
23him, indeed, therefore, I hope to send, when I may see through the things concerning me — immediately;
24आणि माझा असा विश्वास आहे की, देवाच्या साहाय्याने मला स्वत:लासुद्धा तुमच्याकडे येणे लवकरच शक्य होईल.
24and I trust in the Lord that I myself also shall quickly come.
25एपफ्रदीत, जो माझा बंधु आहे. सहकारी व सहशिपाई आहे, त्याला तुमच्याकडे पाठविण्याची आवश्यकता आहे, असे मला वाटले, तसेच तो तुमचा प्रतिनिधी आहे जो माझ्या गरजेच्या वेळी मला साहाय्य करतो. मी असे करण्याचे ठरविले आहे कारण तो तुम्हा सर्वांना भेटण्यास आतुर झाला आहे.
25And I thought [it] necessary Epaphroditus — my brother, and fellow-workman, and fellow-soldier, and your apostle and servant to my need — to send unto you,
26मी त्याला पाठवितो कारण त्याला तुम्हांला फार भेटावेसे वाटते. तुम्ही तो आजरी असल्याचे जे ऐकले त्यामुळे त्याला काळजी वाटत आहे.
26seeing he was longing after you all, and in heaviness, because ye heard that he ailed,
27तो खरोखरच आजारी होता, अगदी मरणाला टेकला होता, पण देवाने त्याच्यावर करुणा केली; त्याच्यावरच केली असे नाही, तर माझ्यावरही केली; यासाठी की, मला आणखी दु:ख होऊ नये.
27for he also ailed nigh to death, but God did deal kindly with him, and not with him only, but also with me, that sorrow upon sorrow I might not have.
28म्हणून, अधिक अधीरतेने, मी त्याला पाठवित आहे. यासाठी की जेव्हा तुम्ही त्याला पाहाल तेव्हा पुन्हा एकदा तुम्ही आनंदी व्हाल आणि मी निश्रिंत असेन.
28The more eagerly, therefore, I did send him, that having seen him again ye may rejoice, and I may be the less sorrowful;
29म्हणून, प्रभूमध्ये त्याचे स्वागत करा आणि अशा लोकांचा सन्मान करा, कारण ख्रिस्ताच्या कामासाठी तो जवळजवळ मेला होता.
29receive him, therefore, in the Lord, with all joy, and hold such in honour,
30त्याने त्याचे जीवन धोक्यात घातले, यासाठी की, माझी सेवा करण्यात तुमच्या जी उणीव होती ती भरुन काढावी.
30because on account of the work of the Christ he drew near to death, having hazarded the life that he might fill up your deficiency of service unto me.
