1परमेश्वराला धन्यावाद द्या. कारण तो चांगला आहे. त्याचे प्रेम कायम राहाणार आहे.
1`Give ye thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age [is] His kindness:`
2परमेश्वराने ज्याचा उध्दार केला आहे अशा प्रत्येक माणसाने हे शब्द म्हटले पाहिजेत. परमेश्वराने त्यांना त्यांच्या शत्रूपासून वाचवले.
2Let the redeemed of Jehovah say, Whom He redeemed from the hand of an adversary.
3परमेश्वराने त्याच्या माणसांना वेगवेगळ्या देशातून गोळा करुन आणले. त्याने त्याना पूर्व - पश्चिम, उत्तर - दक्षिण या दिशांतून आणले.
3And from the lands hath gathered them, From east and from west, From north, and from the sea.
4त्यांतले काही वाळवंटात फिरले. ते राहाण्यासाठी जागा शोधत होते पण त्यांना शहर सापडले नाही.
4They wandered in a wilderness, in a desert by the way, A city of habitation they have not found.
5ते खूप भुकेले आणि तान्हेले होते आणि अशक्त होत होते.
5Hungry — yea — thirsty, Their soul in them becometh feeble,
6नंतर त्यांनी परमेश्वराला मदती साठी हाक मारली आणि त्याने त्यांना त्यांच्या संकटातून वाचवले.
6And they cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distress He delivereth them,
7देव त्यांना सरळ जेथे त्यांना राहायचे होते त्या शहरात घेऊन गेला.
7And causeth them to tread in a right way, To go unto a city of habitation.
8परमेश्वराला त्याच्या प्रेमाबद्दल आणि तो ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी लोकांसाठी करतो त्याबद्दल धन्यवाद द्या.
8They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men.
9देव तान्हेल्या आत्म्याचे समाधान करतो. देव भुकेल्या आत्म्याला चांगल्या वस्तूंनी भरतो.
9For He hath satisfied a longing soul, And a hungry soul hath filled [with] goodness.
10देवाची काही माणसे कैदी होती आणि काळ्याकुटृ तुंरुंगात गजांच्या आडबंद होती.
10Inhabitants of dark places and death-shade, Prisoners of affliction and of iron,
11का? कारण ते देवाने सांगितलेल्या गोष्टीं विरुध्द भांडले. त्यांनी परात्पर देवाचा उपदेश ऐकायला नकार दिला.
11Because they changed the saying of God, And the counsel of the Most High despised.
12त्या लोकांनी केलेल्या गोष्टींबद्दल देवाने त्यांचे आयुष्य कठीण केले. ते अडखळले आणि पडले. त्यांना मदत करायला तेथे कुणीही नव्हते.
12And He humbleth with labour their heart, They have been feeble, and there is no helper.
13ते लोक संकटात होते म्हणून त्यांनी परमेश्वराला मदतीसाठी हाक मारली आणि त्याने त्यांना त्यांच्या संकटापासून वाचवले.
13And they cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distresses He saveth them.
14देवाने त्यांना त्यांच्या अंधार कोठडीतूनबाहेर काढले, ज्या दोराने त्यांना बांधले होते तो दोर देवाने तोडला.
14He bringeth them out from the dark place, And death-shade, And their bands He draweth away.
15त्याच्या प्रेमाबद्दल आणि तो लोकांसाठी ज्याअद्भुत गोष्टी करतो त्याबद्दल परमेश्वराला धन्यवाद द्या.
15They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men.
16देव आपल्याला आपल्या शत्रूंचा पराभव कायला मदत करतो. देव त्यांचे तांब्याचे दरवाजे मोडू शकतो. देव त्यांच्या दरवाज्यावरचे लोखंडीगज तोडू शकतो.
16For He hath broken doors of brass, And bars of iron He hath cut.
17पापयुक्त जीवन पध्दतीमुळे काही लोक मूर्ख बनतात आणि अपराधी भावनेमुळे त्यांना पीडा होते.
17Fools, by means of their transgression, And by their iniquities, afflict themselves.
18त्या लोकांनी खायचे नाकारले आणि ते जवळ जवळ मेले.
18All food doth their soul abominate, And they come nigh unto the gates of death,
19ते संकटात होते म्हणून त्यांनी परमेश्वराला मदतीसाठी हाक मारली आणि त्याने त्यांना संकटातून वाचवले.
19And cry unto Jehovah in their adversity, From their distresses He saveth them,
20देवाने आज्ञा केली आणि त्यांना बरे केले, म्हणून ते लोक थडग्यात जाण्यापासून बचावले.
20He sendeth His word and healeth them, And delivereth from their destructions.
21परमेश्वराला त्याच्या प्रेमाबद्दल व तो लोकांसाठी करत असलेल्या अद्भुत गोष्टींबद्दल धन्यवाद द्या.
21They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men,
22परमेश्वराने जे काही केले त्याबद्दल त्याला धन्यवाद म्हणून बळी अर्पण करा. परमेश्वराने केलेल्या गोष्टी आनंदाने सांगा.
22And they sacrifice sacrifices of thanksgiving, And recount His works with singing.
23काही लोक बोटीतून समुद्रापार जातात. त्यांचे व्यवसाय त्यांना महासागरापार घेऊन गेले.
23Those going down [to] the sea in ships, Doing business in many waters,
24त्या लोकांनी परमेश्वर काय करु शकतो ते पाहिले. त्याने समुद्रावर ज्या अद्भुत गोष्टी केल्या त्या त्यांनी पाहिल्या.
24They have seen the works of Jehovah, And His wonders in the deep.
25देवाने आज्ञा केली आणि जोराचा वारा वाहायला लागला, लाटा उंच उंच जायला लागल्या.
25And He saith, and appointeth a tempest, And it lifteth up its billows,
26लाटांनी त्यांना खूप उंच आकाशापर्यंत उंच नेले आणि खोल समुद्रात खाली टाकले. वादळ इतके भयंकर होते की लोकांचे धैर्य नाहीसे झाले.
26They go up [to] the heavens, they go down [to] the depths, Their soul in evil is melted.
27ते अडखळत होते आणि प्यायलेल्या माणसासारखे पडत होते. खलाशी म्हणून असलेले त्यांचे कसब निरुपयोगी होते.
27They reel to and fro, and move as a drunkard, And all their wisdom is swallowed up.
28ते संकटात सापडले म्हणून त्यांनी परमेश्वराला मदतीसाठी हाक मारली आणि त्याने त्यांना संकटापासून वाचवले.
28And they cry to Jehovah in their adversity, And from their distresses He bringeth them out.
29देवाने वादळ थांबवले. त्याने लाटांना शांत केले.
29He establisheth a whirlwind to a calm, And hushed are their billows.
30समुद्र शांत झाला म्हणून खलाशी आंनदित झाले. देवाने त्यांना सुरक्षितपणे त्यांच्या इच्छित स्थळी आणून पोहोचवले.
30And they rejoice because they are quiet, And He leadeth them to the haven of their desire.
31परमेश्वराला त्याच्या प्रेमाबद्दल आणि तो लोकांसाठी करीत असलेल्या अद्भुत गोष्टींबद्दल धन्यवाद द्या.
31They confess to Jehovah His kindness, And His wonders to the sons of men,
32देवाची मोठ्या सभेत स्तुती करा. वयोवृध्द प्रमुख एकत्र येतात तेव्हा त्याची स्तुती करा.
32And they exalt Him in the assembly of the people, And in the seat of the elders praise Him.
33देवाने नदीचे वाळवंटात रुपांतर केले. देवाने झऱ्यांचे वाहाणे बंद केले.
33He maketh rivers become a wilderness, And fountains of waters become dry land.
34देवाने सुपीक जमिनीचे क्षारयुक्त ओसाड जमिनीत रुपांतर केले. का? कारण त्या ठिकाणी वाईट लोक राहात होते.
34A fruitful land becometh a barren place, For the wickedness of its inhabitants.
35देवाने वाळवंटाचे पाण्याची तळी असलेल्या जमिनीत रुपांतर केले. देवाने कोरड्या जमिनीतून पाण्याचे झरे वाहायला लावले.
35He maketh a wilderness become a pool of water, And a dry land become fountains of waters.
36देवाने भुकेल्या लोकांना चांगल्या प्रदेशातून नेले आणि त्यांनी तिथे राहाण्यासाठी शहर वसवले.
36And He causeth the hungry to dwell there, And they prepare a city of habitation.
37त्या लोकांनी त्यांच्या शेतात बी पेरले त्यांनी त्यांच्या शेतात द्राक्षं पेरली आणि त्यांना चांगले उत्पन्न आले.
37And they sow fields, and plant vineyards, And they make fruits of increase.
38देवाने त्या लोकांना आशीर्वाद दिला. त्यांचे कुटुंब वाढले. त्यांच्या जवळ खूप जनावरे होती.
38And He blesseth them, and they multiply exceedingly, And their cattle He doth not diminish.
39अरिष्टे आणि संकटे यांमुळे त्यांची कुटुंब लहान आणि अशक्त राहिली.
39And they are diminished, and bow down, By restraint, evil, and sorrow.
40देवाने त्यांच्या प्रमुखाला लज्जित केले आणि ओशाळवाणे वाटायला लावले आणि त्याला खाली पाहायला लावले. देवाने त्यांना रस्ते नसलेल्या वाळवंटातून हिंडायला लावले.
40He is pouring contempt upon nobles, And causeth them to wander in vacancy — no way.
41पण नंतर देवाने त्या गरीब लोकांची संकटातून मुक्तता केली आणि आता त्यांची कुटुंब मेंढ्यांच्या कळपासारखी मोठी आहेत.
41And setteth on high the needy from affliction, And placeth families as a flock.
42चांगले लोक हे बघतात आणि आनंदी होतात. पण दुष्ट लोक ते बघतात आणि काय बोलावे ते त्यांना सुचत नाही.
42The upright do see and rejoice, And all perversity hath shut her mouth.
43जर एखादा माणूस शहाणा असला तर त्याला या गोष्टी आठवतील नंतर त्याला देवाचे प्रेम म्हणजे खरोखर काय ते कळून येईल.
43Who [is] wise, and observeth these? They understand the kind acts of Jehovah!
