1देवा, माझ्या प्रार्थनेला तुझे कान बंद करु नकोस.
1To the Overseer. — A Psalm of David. O God of my praise, be not silent,
2दुष्ट लोक माझ्याविषयी खोटंनांट सांगत आहेत. ते माझ्याबद्दल असत्य गोष्टी सांगत आहेत.
2For the mouth of wickedness, and the mouth of deceit, Against me they have opened, They have spoken with me — A tongue of falsehood, and words of hatred!
3लोक माझ्याबद्दल द्वेषयुक्त गोष्टी सांगत आहेत. ते कारण नसताना माझ्यावर हल्ला करत आहेत.
3They have compassed me about, And they fight me without cause.
4मी त्यांच्यावर प्रेम केले पण ते माझा द्वेष करतात म्हणून देवा, मी आता तुझी प्रार्थना करतो.
4For my love they oppose me, and I — prayer!
5मी त्या लोकांसाठी चांगल्या गोष्टी केल्या पण ते माझ्यासाठी वाईट गोष्टी करत आहेत. मी त्यांच्यावर प्रेम केले पण ते माझाद्धेष करत होते.
5And they set against me evil for good, And hatred for my love.
6माझ्या शत्रूंनी वाईट गोष्टी केल्या त्याबद्दल त्याला शिक्षा कर. तो चुकला आहे हे सिध्द करण्यासाठी एखादा माणूस शोध.
6Appoint Thou over him the wicked, And an adversary standeth at his right hand.
7माझा शत्रू चुकला आणि तो अपराधी आहे हे न्यायाधीशांना ठरवू दे. माझा शत्रू जे काही बोलतो त्यामुळे त्याची परिस्थिती अधिकच बिघडते.
7In his being judged, he goeth forth wicked, And his prayer is for sin.
8माझ्या शत्रूला लवकर मरु दे. त्याचा व्यवसाय दुसऱ्या माणसाला मिळू दे.
8His days are few, his oversight another taketh,
9माझ्या शत्रूच्या मुलांना अनाथ आणि त्याच्या बायकोला विधवा कर.
9His sons are fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10त्यांना त्यांचे घर गमावू दे आणि त्यांना भिकारी होऊ दे.
10And wander continually do his sons, Yea, they have begged, And have sought out of their dry places.
11माझ्या शत्रूंच्या धनकोंना त्याच्याकडचे सगळे घेऊ दे आणि परक्यांना त्याच्या सर्व श्रमांचे फळ घेऊ दे.
11An exactor layeth a snare for all that he hath, And strangers spoil his labour.
12माझ्या शत्रूंशी कुणीही दयाळू असू नये असे मला वाटते. त्याच्या मुलांना कुणी दया दाखवू नये असे मला वाटते.
12He hath none to extend kindness, Nor is there one showing favour to his orphans.
13माझ्या शत्रूचा संपूर्ण नाश कर. पुढच्या पिढीला त्याचे नाव सर्व गोष्टीवरुन काढून टाकू दे.
13His posterity is for cutting off, In another generation is their name blotted out.
14परमेश्वराला माझ्या शत्रूच्या वडिलांच्या पापांची आठवण करुन दिली जाईल असे मला वाटते, त्याच्या आईची पापे कधीही पुसली जाऊ नयेत असे मला वाटते.
14The iniquity of his fathers Is remembered unto Jehovah, And the sin of his mother is not blotted out.
15परमेश्वराला त्या पापांची सदैव आठवण राहील अशी मी आशा करतो आणि तो लोकांवर माझ्या शत्रूला पूर्णपणे विसरुन जायची शक्ती देईल अशी मी आशा करतो.
15They are before Jehovah continually, And He cutteth off from earth their memorial.
16का? कारण त्या दुष्ट माणसाने कधीही काहीही चांगले केले नाही, त्याने कधीच कुणावर प्रेम केले नाही. त्याने गरीब, असहाय्य लोकांचे आयुष्य कष्टी केले.
16Because that he hath not remembered to do kindness, And pursueth the poor man and needy, And the smitten of heart — to slay,
17त्या दुष्ट माणसाला दुसऱ्या लोकांचे वाईट कर असे सांगायला आवडायचे म्हणून त्या वाईट गोष्टी त्या माणसालाच होऊ दे. तो दुष्ट माणूस लोकांचे भले होवो असे कधीही म्हणाला नाही, म्हणून त्याचेही भले होऊ देऊ नकोस.
17And he loveth reviling, and it meeteth him, And he hath not delighted in blessing, And it is far from him.
18शाप हेच त्याचे कपडे असू दे. शाप हेच त्याचे पिण्याचे पाणी असू दे. शाप हेच त्याच्या शरीरावरचे तेल असू दे.
18And he putteth on reviling as his robe, And it cometh in as water into his midst, And as oil into his bones.
19शाप त्या दुष्ट माणसांच्या शरीराभोवती गुंडाळण्याचे वस्त्र आणि शापच त्यांच्या कमरे भोवतीचा पट्टा असू दे.
19It is to him as apparel — he covereth himself, And for a continual girdle he girdeth it on.
20परमेश्वर या सगळ्या गोष्टी माझ्या शत्रूंच्याबाबतीत करील अशी मी आशा करतो. जे लोक मला ठार मारायचा प्रयत्न करीत आहेत त्या सर्वांना परमेश्वर या गोष्टी करेल अशी मी आशा करतो.
20This [is] the wage of mine accusers from Jehovah, And of those speaking evil against my soul.
21परमेश्वरा, तू माझा प्रभु आहेस. तुझ्या नावाला गौरव प्राप्त होईल अशा रीतीने मला वागव. माझ्यावर तुझे खूप प्रेम आहे म्हणून मला वाचव.
21And Thou, O Jehovah Lord, Deal with me for Thy name`s sake, Because Thy kindness [is] good, deliver me.
22मी फक्त एक गरीब, असहाय्य माणूस आहे. मी खरोखरच दु:खी आहे आणि माझे ह्दयविदीर्ण झाले आहे.
22For I [am] poor and needy, And my heart hath been pierced in my midst.
23दिवसाच्या शेवटी येणाऱ्या लांब सावल्यांप्रमाणे माझे आयुष्य संपले आहे असे मला वाटते. कुणीतरी झटकून टाकलेल्या किड्याप्राणे मी आहे असे मला वाटते.
23As a shadow when it is stretched out I have gone, I have been driven away as a locust.
24मी भुकेला असल्यामुळे माझ्या गुडघ्यातली शक्ती क्षीण झाली आहे. माझे वजन घटते आहे आणि मी बारीक होत आहे.
24My knees have been feeble from fasting, And my flesh hath failed of fatness.
25वाईट लोक माझा अपमान करतात. ते माझ्याकडे बघतात आणि त्यांच्या माना हलवतात.
25And I — I have been a reproach to them, They see me, they shake their head.
26परमेश्वरा, देवा, मला मदत कर. तुझे खरे प्रेम दाखव आणि माझा उध्दार कर.
26Help me, O Jehovah my God, Save me, according to Thy kindness.
27नंतर त्या लोकांना तू मला मदत केल्याचे कळेल. तुझ्या शक्तीनेच मला मदत केली हे त्यांना कळेल.
27And they know that this [is] Thy hand, Thou, O Jehovah, Thou hast done it.
28ते वाईट लोक मला शाप देतात. परंतु परमेश्वरा, तू मला आशीर्वाद देऊ शकतोस. त्यांनी माझ्यावर हल्ला केला म्हणून त्यांचा पराभव कर नंतर मी, तुझा सेवक आनंदी होईन.
28They revile, and Thou dost bless, They have risen, and are ashamed, And Thy servant doth rejoice.
29माझ्या शत्रूंना लाज आण. त्यांना त्यांची लाजच अंगरख्या प्रमाणे घालायला लाव.
29Mine accusers put on blushing, and are covered, As an upper robe [is] their shame.
30मी परमेश्वराला धन्यवाद दिले. खूप लोकांसमोर मी त्याची स्तुती केली.
30I thank Jehovah greatly with my mouth, And in the midst of many I praise Him,
31का? कारण परमेश्वर असहाय्य लोकांच्या मदतीसाठी उभा राहातो जे लोक त्यांना ठार मारायची शिक्षा देतात त्यांच्यापासून देव त्यांना वाचवतो.
31For He standeth at the right hand of the needy, To save from those judging his soul.
