1परमेश्वरा, दावीदाला किती त्रास झाला त्याची आठवण ठेव.
1A Song of the Ascents. Remember, Jehovah, for David, all his afflictions.
2दावीदाने परमेश्वराला वचन दिले. दावीदाने याकोबाच्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवाला खास वचन दिले.
2Who hath sworn to Jehovah. He hath vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob:
3दावीद म्हणाला “मी माझ्या घरात जाणार नाही. मी माझ्या अंथरुणावर झोपणार नाही. मी झोपणार नाही.
3`If I enter into the tent of my house, If I go up on the couch of my bed,
4माझ्या डोळ्यांना विश्रांती घेऊ देणार नाही.
4If I give sleep to mine eyes, To mine eyelids — slumber,
5मी या पैकी कुठलीही गोष्टी, जो पर्यंत परमेश्वरासाठी, याकोबाच्या सर्वशक्तिमान देवासाठी, घर सापडत नाही तो पर्यंत करणार नाही.”
5Till I do find a place for Jehovah, Tabernacles for the Mighty One of Jacob.
6आम्ही याबद्दल एफ्राथात ऐकले. आम्हाला कराराची पेटी किरिआथ येआरिम मध्ये सापडली.
6`Lo, we have heard it in Ephratah, We have found it in the fields of the forest.
7आपण पवित्र तंबूत जाऊ. या देव ज्या पादासनावर आपले पाय विसाव्यासाठी ठेवतो त्या पादासनाजवळ आपण प्रार्थना करु या.
7We come in to His tabernacles, We bow ourselves at His footstool.
8परमेश्वरा, तुझ्या विश्रांतीस्थानावरुन तुझ्या शक्तिमान कोशासह उठ.
8Arise, O Jehovah, to Thy rest, Thou, and the ark of Thy strength,
9परमेश्वरा, तुझे याजक चांगुलपणा ल्याले आहेत. तुझे भक्त खूप आनंदी आहेत.
9Thy priests do put on righteousness, And Thy pious ones cry aloud.
10तुझा सेवक दावीद याच्या भल्यासाठी, निवडलेल्या राजाला नकार देऊ नकोस.
10For the sake of David Thy servant, Turn not back the face of Thine anointed.
11परमेश्वराने दावीदाला वचन दिले. परमेश्वराने दावीदाशी प्रामाणिक राहाण्याचे वचन दिले. राजे दावीदाच्या कुटुंबातूनच येतील असे वचन परमेश्वराने दिले.
11Jehovah hath sworn truth to David, He turneth not back from it: Of the fruit of thy body, I set on the throne for thee.
12परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “दावीद, जर तुझ्या मुलांनी माझा करार पाळला आणि मी त्यांना शिकवलेले नियम पाळले तर तुझ्या कुटुंबातील कुणीतरी नेहमी राजा होईल.”
12If thy sons keep My covenant, And My testimonies that I teach them, Their sons also for ever and ever, Do sit on the throne for thee.
13परमेश्वराने त्याच्या मंदिरासाठी सियोनपर्वत निवडला. त्याच्या वस्ती साठी त्याला ती जागा पाहिजे होती.
13For Jehovah hath fixed on Zion, He hath desired [it] for a seat to Himself,
14परमेश्वर म्हणाला, “ही जागा सदैव माझी राहील, मी माझ्यासाठी ही जागा निवडली. मी नेहमी इथे राहीन.
14This [is] My rest for ever and ever, Here do I sit, for I have desired it.
15मी या शहराला भरपून अन्न मिळो असा आशीर्वाद देईन. गरीब लोकांना देखील भरपूर खायला मिळेल.
15Her provision I greatly bless, Her needy ones I satisfy [with] bread,
16मी याजकांना तारणाचे वस्त्र लेववीन आणि माझे भक्त इथे खूप आनंदी होतील.
16And her priests I clothe [with] salvation, And her pious ones do sing aloud.
17मी या जागेवर दावीदाला बलवान बनवीन. मी माझ्या निवडलेल्या राजाला दिवा देईन.
17There I cause to spring up a horn for David, I have arranged a lamp for Mine anointed.
18मी दावीदाच्या शत्रूंना लाजेने झाकून टाकीन परंतु मी दावीदाचे राज्य वाढेल असे करीन.”
18His enemies I do clothe [with] shame, And upon him doth his crown flourish!
