1जो विश्वासात दुर्बल आहे त्याचा स्वीकार करा. पण मतभेदावरुन भांडणाच्या हेतूने नव्हे.
1And him who is weak in the faith receive ye — not to determinations of reasonings;
2एखाद्याचा विश्वास असा असतो की, तो सर्व गोष्टी खाऊ शकतो, परंतु दुर्बल मनुष्य भाजीच खातो.
2one doth believe that he may eat all things — and he who is weak doth eat herbs;
3जो कोणत्याही प्रकारचे अन्र खातो त्याने जो काही विशिष्ट गोष्टी खात नाही, त्याला तुच्छ मानू नये. आणि जो काही विशिष्ट गोष्टी खातो त्याने त्याला दोष देऊ नये कारण देवाने त्याचा स्वीकार केला आहे.
3let not him who is eating despise him who is not eating: and let not him who is not eating judge him who is eating, for God did receive him.
4दुसऱ्याच्या नोकराला दोष लावणारा तू कोण आहेस? त्याच्या मालकाच्या दृष्टीने तो स्थिर राहील किंवा त्याचे पतन झाले असताही स्थिर राहील. कारण त्याला स्थिर करण्यास मालक समर्थ आहे.
4Thou — who art thou that art judging another`s domestic? to his own master he doth stand or fall; and he shall be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.
5एखादा मनुष्य एक दिवस दुसऱ्या दिवसापेक्षा अधिक मानतो परंतु दुसरा मनुष्य प्रत्येक दिवस सारखाच मानतो. प्रत्येकाने आपल्या मनाची पूर्ण खात्री करुन घ्यावी.
5One doth judge one day above another, and another doth judge every day [alike]; let each in his own mind be fully assured.
6जो विशेष दिवस पाळतो तो प्रभूचा मान राखण्यासाठी पाळतो आणि जो कोणत्याही प्रकारचे अन्र खातो तो प्रभूचा मान राखण्यासाठी खातो. विशिष्ट प्रकारचे अन्र खात नाही तो प्रभूचा मान ठेवण्यासाठी खात नाही. तो सुद्धा देवाचे आभार मानतो.
6He who is regarding the day, to the Lord he doth regard [it], and he who is not regarding the day, to the Lord he doth not regard [it]. He who is eating, to the Lord he doth eat, for he doth give thanks to God; and he who is not eating, to the Lord he doth not eat, and doth give thanks to God.
7कारण कोणीही स्वत:साठी जगत नाही, किंवा मरत नाही, जर आपण जगतो तर प्रभुचे लोक म्हणून जगतो आणि मरतो तर प्रभूचे लोक म्हणून मरतो.
7For none of us to himself doth live, and none to himself doth die;
8म्हणून जर आपण जगतो किंवा मरतो तर आपण प्रभूचे आहोत.
8for both, if we may live, to the Lord we live; if also we may die, to the Lord we die; both then if we may live, also if we may die, we are the Lord`s;
9ख्रिस्त मेला आणि जिवंत झाला यासाठी की त्याने जे आता मेलेले आहेत आणि जे अजूनही जिवंत आहेत त्या दोघांचा प्रभु व्हावे.
9for because of this Christ both died and rose again, and lived again, that both of dead and of living he may be Lord.
10तेव्हा तू आपल्या बलवान भावाला दोष का लावतो? किंवा जो अशक्त आहे त्या भावाला तुच्छ का मानतोस? कारण आपण सर्व जण देवाच्या न्यायासनासमोर उभे राहणार आहोत.
10And thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or again, thou, why dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand at the tribunal of the Christ;
11असे लिहिले आहे की, “प्रभु म्हणतो खात्रीने मी जिंवत आहे प्रत्येक गुडघा माझ्यासमोर टेकला जाईल आणि प्रत्येक जीभ देवाचे उपकार मानील.” यशया 45:23
11for it hath been written, `I live! saith the Lord — to Me bow shall every knee, and every tongue shall confess to God;`
12म्हणून प्रत्येक जण आपापल्यासंबंधी देवाला हिशेब देईल.
12so, then, each of us concerning himself shall give reckoning to God;
13म्हणून आपण एकमेकांचा न्याय करण्याचे थांबवू या. तुम्ही असा निश्चय करावा की, तुम्ही आपल्या भावाच्या मार्गात पाप करण्यासाठी मोह किंवा अडखळण ठेवणार नाही.
13no longer, therefore, may we judge one another, but this judge ye rather, not to put a stumbling-stone before the brother, or an offence.
14मला माहीत आहे आणि मी जो प्रभु येशूमध्ये आहे त्या माझी खात्री झाली आहे की, जो पदार्थ खाण्यास अशुद्ध आहे असे समजतो त्याशिवाय कोणताही पदार्थ मूळचा अशुद्ध नाही. त्याच्यासाठी ते अशुद्ध आहे.
14I have known, and am persuaded, in the Lord Jesus, that nothing [is] unclean of itself, except to him who is reckoning anything to be unclean — to that one [it is] unclean;
15जर खाण्यामुळे तुझा भाऊ दु:खी झाला आहे तर तू प्रीतीने वागत नाहीस. ज्याच्यासाठी ख्रिस्त मरण पावला त्याचा तुझ्या अन्राने नाश करु नकोस.
15and if through victuals thy brother is grieved, no more dost thou walk according to love; do not with thy victuals destroy that one for whom Christ died.
16म्हणून तुम्हांसाठी जे चांगले आहे त्याची निंदा होऊ नये.
16Let not, then, your good be evil spoken of,
17खाणे पिणे यात देवाचे राज्या नाही. परंतु नीतिमत्व, शांति आणि आनंद, जो पवित्र आत्म्यात आहे त्यामध्ये आहे.
17for the reign of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit;
18जो कोणी अशा प्रकारे जगून ख्रिस्ताची सेवा करतो तो देवाला आनंद देणारा आणि सर्व लोकांनी पसंत केलेला असा आहे.
18for he who in these things is serving the Christ, [is] acceptable to God and approved of men.
19तर मग आपण शांतीला आणि एकमेकांच्या वाढीला मदत करणाऱ्या गोष्टींच्या मागे लागावे.
19So, then, the things of peace may we pursue, and the things of building up one another;
20तुम्ही खाता त्या अन्रामुळे देवाच्या कार्याचा नाश करु नका. सर्व गोष्टी शुद्ध आहेत. असंतोषाने खाणे मनुष्यासाठी चुकीचे आहे.
20for the sake of victuals cast not down the work of God; all things, indeed, [are] pure, but evil [is] to the man who is eating through stumbling.
21मांस न खाणे, द्राक्षारस न पिणे, तुझा भाऊ न अडखळेल असे करणे चांगले आहे.
21Right [it is] not to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor to [do anything] in which thy brother doth stumble, or is made to fall, or is weak.
22तुझा जो विश्वास आहे तो देवासमोर तुझ्या ठायी असू दे. ज्याला योग्य आहे असे वाटते व त्यामुळे जो स्वत:चा द्वेष करीत नाही तो धन्य.
22Thou hast faith! to thyself have [it] before God; happy is he who is not judging himself in what he doth approve,
23जर तो पुढे जाऊन आपण हे टाळावे असा विश्वास ठेवूनखातो तो देवासमोर दोषी ठरतो. कारण त्याची कृति विश्वासावर आधारित नाही, ते पाप आहे.
23and he who is making a difference, if he may eat, hath been condemned, because [it is] not of faith; and all that [is] not of faith is sin.
