1राजा शलमोनाने स्वत:साठी महालही बांधला. त्याला तेरा वर्षे लागली.
1Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished all his house.
2लबानोनचे वनातील घरही त्याने बांधले. ते 150 फूट लांब, 95 फूट रुंद आणि 45 फूट उंच होते. देवदाराच्या स्तंभांच्या त्याला चार रांगा असून प्रत्येक स्तंभावर नक्षीदार घुमटी होती.
2For he built the house of the forest of Lebanon; its length was one hundred cubits, and its breadth fifty cubits, and its height thirty cubits, on four rows of cedar pillars, with cedar beams on the pillars.
3या स्तंभांवरुन देवदाराच्या तुळ्या घातलेल्या असून त्यावर छत म्हणून देवदाराच्या लाकडाची पाटण होती. प्रत्येक ओळीत पंधरा खांब अशा पंचेचाळीस खांबांवर तुळ्या होत्या.
3It was covered with cedar above over the forty-five beams, that were on the pillars; fifteen in a row.
4भिंतींवर समोरासमोर येतील अशा खिडक्यांच्या तीन ओळी होत्या.
4There were beams in three rows, and window was over against window in three ranks.
5दोन्ही टोकांना तीन तीन दरवाजे होते. दाराची कवाडे आणि चौकटी काटकोन चौकोनात होत्या.
5All the doors and posts were made square with beams: and window was over against window in three ranks.
6शलमोनाने एक द्वारमंडपही उभारला होता. हा राजासनाचा मंडप 75फूट लांब आणि 45 फूट रुंद होता. दर्शनी बाजूला आधार देणाऱ्या स्तंभांची रांग होती.
6He made the porch of pillars; its length was fifty cubits, and its breadth thirty cubits; and a porch before them; and pillars and a threshold before them.
7न्यायनिवाडा करण्यासाठीही त्याने एक दालन बांधून घेतले. त्याला त्याने “न्यायासनाचा मंडप” असे नाव दिले होते. हे दालनही जमिनीपासून छतापर्यंत गंधसरुच्या लाकडाने आच्छादलेले होते.
7He made the porch of the throne where he was to judge, even the porch of judgment: and it was covered with cedar from floor to floor.
8याच्याच आतल्या बाजूला त्याचे घर होते. त्याची बांधणी न्यायासनाच्या मंडपासारखीच होती. मिसरच्या राजाची मुलगी म्हणजे शलमोनची बायको हिच्यासाठीही त्याने असाच महाल बांधून घेतला.
8His house where he was to dwell, the other court within the porch, was of the like work. He made also a house for Pharaoh’s daughter (whom Solomon had taken as wife), like this porch.
9या सर्व इमारतींच्या बांधकामात किंमती दगडी चिरे वापरले होते. पुढून मागून घासून ते करवतीने योग्य मापाने कातले होते. पायापासून वळचणीपर्यंत त्यांचाच वापर केला होता. अंगणाभोवताल्या भिंतीही याच बहुमूल्य दगडांनी बांधल्या होत्या.
9All these were of costly stones, even of cut stone, according to measure, sawed with saws, inside and outside, even from the foundation to the coping, and so on the outside to the great court.
10पायासाठी वापरलेले चिरेही असेच प्रशस्त व भारी होते. काहींची लांबी 15 फूट व इतरांची बारा फूट होती.
10The foundation was of costly stones, even great stones, stones of ten cubits, and stones of eight cubits.
11त्यांच्यावर आणखी चांगल्या प्रतीचे चिरे आणि गंधसरुचे वासे होते.
11Above were costly stones, even cut stone, according to measure, and cedar wood.
12महाल, मंदिर आणि द्वारमंडप यांच्या भोवताली भिंत होती. तिला दगडांच्या तीन ओळी आणि गंधसरुच्या लाकडाची एक ओळ होती.
12The great court around had three courses of cut stone, and a course of cedar beams; like as the inner court of the house of Yahweh, and the porch of the house.
13राजा शलमोनाने सोराहून (तायरहून) हिराम नावाच्या माणसाला निरोप पाठवून यरुशलेम येथे बोलावून घेतले.
13King Solomon sent and fetched Hiram out of Tyre.
14हिरामची आई नफताली वंशातील होती. त्याचे वडील सोराचे (तायरचे) होते. ते चांगले तांबट होते पण ते मरण पावले होते. हिराम हा एक अनुभवी आणि कसबी तांबट होता. म्हणून राजाने त्यालाच बोलावून घेतले. त्यानेही हे आमंत्रण स्वीकारले. राजाने हिरामला सर्व पितळी कारागिरीवरील प्रमुख म्हणून नेमले. हिरामने तितळेपासून बनवलेल्या सर्व वस्तू घडविल्या.
14He was the son of a widow of the tribe of Naphtali, and his father was a man of Tyre, a worker in brass; and he was filled with wisdom and understanding and skill, to work all works in brass. He came to king Solomon, and performed all his work.
15हिरामने दोन पितळी स्तंभ घडवले. प्रत्येक स्तंभ सत्तावीस फूट उंचीचा आणि अठरा फूट परिघाचा होता. हे स्तंभ पोकळ असून पत्र्याची जाडी तीन इंच होती.
15For he fashioned the two pillars of brass, eighteen cubits high apiece: and a line of twelve cubits encircled either of them about.
16शिवाय त्याने साडेसात फूट उंचीचे दोन पितळी महिरपदार खांबही बांधले.
16He made two capitals of molten brass, to set on the tops of the pillars: the height of the one capital was five cubits, and the height of the other capital was five cubits.
17या खांबाच्या घुमट्यांना आच्छादायला म्हणून दोन जाळीदार, साखळीची आच्छादने केली.
17There were nets of checker work, and wreaths of chain work, for the capitals which were on the top of the pillars; seven for the one capital, and seven for the other capital.
18मग त्याने पितळेचे, डाळिबांच्या आकाराचे शोभिवंत कळस केले. घुमट्यांच्या जाळड्यांवर या कळसांच्या दोन रांगा बसवल्या.
18So he made the pillars; and there were two rows around on the one network, to cover the capitals that were on the top of the pillars: and he did so for the other capital.
19साडेसात फूट उंचीचे जे स्तंभ होते त्याच्या घुमट्या फुलाच्या आकाराच्या होत्या.
19The capitals that were on the top of the pillars in the porch were of lily work, four cubits.
20या घुमट्या स्तंभांवर बसवलेल्या होत्या. परडीच्या आकाराच्या जाळीवर त्या बसवलेल्या होत्या. या सगळ्या कळसांच्या भोवती रांगेने वीस डाळिंबे लावली होती.
20There were capitals above also on the two pillars, close by the belly which was beside the network: and the pomegranates were two hundred, in rows around on the other capital.
21हे दोन पितळी स्तंभ हिरामने द्वारमंडपाशी लावले. दाक्षिणेकडील खांबाला याखीन आणि उत्तरे कडील खांबाला बवाज असे नाव ठेवले.
21He set up the pillars at the porch of the temple: and he set up the right pillar, and called its name Jachin; and he set up the left pillar, and called its name Boaz.
22फुलाच्या आकाराचे कळस या खांबांवर चढवले आणि या दोन स्तंभांचे काम संपले.
22On the top of the pillars was lily work: so was the work of the pillars finished.
23यानंतर हिरामने पंच धातूचा एक गोल हौद केला. याला त्याने “समुद्र” असे नाव दिले. याचा परिघ पंचेचाळीस फूट होता. या काठापासून त्या काठापर्यंत त्याची लांबी पंधरा फूट होती आणि खोली साडेसात फूट.
23He made the molten sea of ten cubits from brim to brim, round in compass, and its height was five cubits; and a line of thirty cubits encircled it.
24या हौदाच्या कडेल्या बाहेरच्या बाजूला एक पट्टी बसवली होती. तिच्या खाली पितळी रानकाकड्यांच्या दोन रांगा होत्या. या काकड्या हौदाचाच एक भाग म्हणून एकसंधपणे करुन घेतल्या होत्या.
24Under its brim around there were buds which encircled it, for ten cubits, encircling the sea: the buds were in two rows, cast when it was cast.
25बारा पितळी बैलांच्या पाठीवर हा हौद विसावलेला होता. बैलांची तोंडे बाहेरच्या बाजूला होती. तिघांची तोंडे उत्तरेला, तिघांची दाक्षिणेला, तिघांची पूर्वेला आणि तिघांची पश्र्चिमेला होती.
25It stood on twelve oxen, three looking toward the north, and three looking toward the west, and three looking toward the south, and three looking toward the east; and the sea was set on them above, and all their hinder parts were inward.
26हौदाची जाडी तीन इंच रुंदीची होती. आणि वरची कड कटोऱ्याच्या कडेसारखी अथवा फुलासारखी उमललेली होती. यात अकरा हजार गंलन पाणी मावत असे.
26It was a handbreadth thick: and its brim was worked like the brim of a cup, like the flower of a lily: it held two thousand baths.
27मग हिरामने दहा पितळी पालख्या केल्या. प्रत्येक पालखी सहा फूट लांब, सहा फूट रुंद आणि साडे चार फूट उंच होती.
27He made the ten bases of brass; four cubits was the length of one base, and four cubits its breadth, and three cubits its height.
28चौकटीत बसवलेल्या चौकोनी पत्र्यांनी या पालख्या केल्या होत्या.
28The work of the bases was like this: they had panels; and there were panels between the ledges;
29पत्रे आणि चौकट यांच्यावर पितळी सिंह, बैल व करुब देवदूत यांचे कोरीव काम होते. सिंह आणि बैल व करुब देवदूत यांचे कोरीव काम होते. सिंह आणि बैल यांच्याखाली फुलांची वेलबुट्टी बसवलेली होती.
29and on the panels that were between the ledges were lions, oxen, and cherubim; and on the ledges there was a pedestal above; and beneath the lions and oxen were wreaths of hanging work.
30प्रत्येक पालखीला पितळी धुऱ्यांवर पितळेची चार चार चाके लावलेली होती आणि चारही कोपऱ्यातून प्रशस्त घंगाळासाठी पितळी आधार दिलेले होते. त्यांनाही फुलांचे सुबक काम केलेले होते.
30Every base had four bronze wheels, and axles of brass; and the four feet of it had supports: beneath the basin were the supports molten, with wreaths at the side of each.
31बैठकीला वरच्या बाजूला चौकट होती. बैठकीपासून ती अठरा इंच वर होती. घंगाळाचे वाटोळे तोंड सत्तावीस इंच व्यासाचे होते. चौकटीवरही पुन्हा पितळेत कोरीवकामाची नक्षी होती. चौकटीवरही पुन्हा पितळेत कोरीवकामाची नक्षी होती. चौकट मात्र गोल नसून चौकोनी होती.
31The mouth of it within the capital and above was a cubit: and its mouth was round after the work of a pedestal, a cubit and a half; and also on its mouth were engravings, and their panels were foursquare, not round.
32सांगाड्याच्या खालची चार चाके सत्तावीस इंच व्यासाची होती. आणि चाकांच्या धुऱ्या पालखीबरोबरच घडलेल्या, एकसंध होत्या.
32The four wheels were underneath the panels; and the axles of the wheels were in the base: and the height of a wheel was a cubit and half a cubit.
33रथाच्या चाकांसारखी ही चाके होती. आणि त्याच्या धुऱ्या धावा, आरे आणि तुंबे असे सर्व काही ओतीव पितळेचे होते.
33The work of the wheels was like the work of a chariot wheel: their axles, and their rims, and their spokes, and their naves, were all molten.
34प्रत्येक पालखीच्या चारही कोपऱ्यांना आधार दिलेले होते. तेही एकसंध होते.
34There were four supports at the four corners of each base: its supports were of the base itself.
35प्रत्येक पालखीला वरुन एक पितळेची पट्टी होती. तीही अंगचीच होती.
35In the top of the base was there a round compass half a cubit high; and on the top of the base its stays and its panels were of the same.
36पालखीची बाहेरची बाजू आणि चौकट यांच्यावर करुब देवदूत, सिंह, खजूरीची झाडे यांचे कोरीवकाम पितळेत केलेले होते. ही नक्षी अगदी भरगच्च असून त्यात कुठेही मोकळी जागा नव्हती. शिवाय भोवताली फुलांची नक्षी होती.
36On the plates of its stays, and on its panels, he engraved cherubim, lions, and palm trees, according to the space of each, with wreaths all around.
37हिरामने अशाप्रकारे अगदी एकसारख्या एक अशा दहा पितळी पालख्या घडवल्या. हे सर्व ओतीव काम होते त्यामुळे त्या तंतोतंत एकसारख्या होत्या.
37In this way, he made the ten bases: all of them had one casting, one measure, and one form.
38हिरामने अशीच दहा गंगाळी केली. ती या दहा पालख्यांसाठी प्रत्येकी एक याप्रमाणे होती. प्रत्येक गंगाळ सहाफुटी होते. त्यात दोनशेतीस गलन पाणी मावू शकत असे.
38He made ten basins of brass: one basin contained forty baths; and every basin was four cubits; and on every one of the ten bases one basin.
39मंदिराच्या उत्तरेला आणि दक्षिणपूर्व कोपऱ्यात म्हणजेच आग्नेय दिशेला हौदाची योजना केली.
39He set the bases, five on the right side of the house, and five on the left side of the house: and he set the sea on the right side of the house eastward, toward the south.

40Hiram made the basins, and the shovels, and the basins. So Hiram made an end of doing all the work that he worked for king Solomon in the house of Yahweh:

49and the lampstands, five on the right side, and five on the left, before the oracle, of pure gold; and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs, of gold;

50and the cups, and the snuffers, and the basins, and the spoons, and the fire pans, of pure gold; and the hinges, both for the doors of the inner house, the most holy place, and for the doors of the house, of the temple, of gold.
51परमेश्वाच्या मंदिराचे हे काम शलमोनाने स्वत:च्या पसंतीप्रमाणे करवून घेतले. मग आपले वडील दावीद यांनी या हेतून राखून ठेवलेल्या सर्व वस्तू बाहेर काढल्या. त्या सर्व मंदिरात आणल्या. परमेश्वराच्या मंदिराच्या खजिन्यात ही सोन्यारुप्याची चीजवस्तू जमा केली.
51Thus all the work that king Solomon worked in the house of Yahweh was finished. Solomon brought in the things which David his father had dedicated, the silver, and the gold, and the vessels, and put them in the treasuries of the house of Yahweh.
