1कोरेश पारसचा राजा होता कोरेश राजाच्या कारकिर्दोच्या तिसऱ्या वर्षो, दानीएलला पुढील गोष्टीविषयी कळले. (दानीएलचे दुसरे नाव बेल्टशस्सर असे होते.) ह्या गोष्टी सत्य होत्या परंत समजण्यास कठीण होत्या.पण दानीएलला त्या समजल्या. दृष्टान्तामध्ये त्याला त्या समजावून सांगितल्या गेल्या.
1In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed to Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing was true, even a great warfare: and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.
2दानीएल म्हणतो,”त्या वेळी मी, दानीएल, तीन आठवडे, खूप दुःखी होतो.
2In those days I, Daniel, was mourning three whole weeks.
3त्या तीन आठवड्यांमध्ये मी आवडते जेवण केले नाही मांस अजिबात खाल्ले नाही, मी मद्य प्यायलो नाही, स्वत:ला तेल लावले नाही तीन आठवडे मी असे केले.
3I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine into my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.
4वर्षाच्या पहिल्या महिन्याच्या 24 व्या दिवशी मी हिद्देकेल नदीकाठी उभा असताना.
4In the four and twentieth day of the first month, as I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel,
5मी वर पाहिले, तर माझ्यासमोर एक माणूस उभा होता. त्याने तागाचे कपडे घातले होते उफाजमधील सोन्याचा कमरपट्टा त्याने बांधला होता.
5I lifted up my eyes, and looked, and behold, a man clothed in linen, whose thighs were adorned with pure gold of Uphaz:
6त्याचा देह चकचकीत दगडासारखा होता. त्याचा चेहरा विद्युतलतेप्रमाणे चमकत होता त्याचे हात व पाय चमक दिलेल्या पितळाप्रमाणे होते. त्याचा आवाज लोकांच्या कोलहलाप्रमाणे मोठा होता.
6his body also was like the beryl, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as flaming torches, and his arms and his feet like burnished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.
7“दुष्टान्त पाहणारा मी, दानीएल, एकटाच होतो माझ्याबरोबरच्या लोकांना दृष्टान्त दिसला नाही. पण तरीही ते घाबरले. ते इतके घाबरल, की दूर पळून जाऊन लपून बसले.
7I, Daniel, alone saw the vision; for the men who were with me didn’t see the vision; but a great quaking fell on them, and they fled to hide themselves.
8मग मी एकटाच उरलो .मी दृष्टान्त पाहात होतो. त्या दृष्टान्ताने मी सुध्दा घाबरलो. माझा धीर खचला. मृत माणसाच्या चेहऱ्याप्रमाणे माझा चेहरा पांढराफटक पडला, मी असहाय झालो.
8So I was left alone, and saw this great vision, and there remained no strength in me; for my comeliness was turned in me into corruption, and I retained no strength.
9मग मी दृष्टान्तातील त्या माणसाला बोलताना ऐकले त्याचा आवाज ऐकताना, मला गाढ झोप लागली मी जमिनीवर पालथा पडलो होतो.
9Yet heard I the voice of his words; and when I heard the voice of his words, then was I fallen into a deep sleep on my face, with my face toward the ground.
10मग मला एका हाताचा स्पर्श जाणवला. तो स्पर्श होताच मी हात गुडघे ह्यावर भार टाकून ओणवा झालो मी इतका घाबरलो होतो की थरथर कापत होतो.
10Behold, a hand touched me, which set me on my knees and on the palms of my hands.
11दृष्टान्तातील माणस मला म्हणाला ‘दानीएला, देव तुझ्यावर खूप प्रेम करतो मी तुझ्याशी बोलेन त्यावर काळजीपूर्वक विचार कर. उभा राहा मला तुझ्याकडेच पाठविले आहे. तो असे म्हणताच मी उभा राहिलो भीतीमुळे अजूनही मी थरथर कापत होतो.
11He said to me, Daniel, you man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright; for am I now sent to you. When he had spoken this word to me, I stood trembling.
12मग दृष्टान्तातील माणस पुन्हा बोलू लागला तो म्हणाला, ‘दानीएला, घाबरू नकोस ज्या दिवसापासून तू ज्ञान मिळविण्याचे व देवापुढे नम्र होण्याचे ठरविलेस, त्या दिवसापासून तो तुझी प्रार्थना ऐकत आहे. तू प्रार्थना करीत असल्यामुळेच मी तुझ्याकडे आलो.
12Then he said to me, Don’t be afraid, Daniel; for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard: and I have come for your words’ sake.
13पण पारसचा राजपुत्र (देवदूत) 21 दिवस माझ्याशी लढत होता व मला त्रास देत होता. पण महत्वाच्या राजपुत्रांपैकी (देवदूतांपैकी) एक मिखाएल माझ्या मदतीला आला. कारण मी तेथे अडकुन पडलो होतो
13But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; but, behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me: and I remained there with the kings of Persia.
14भविष्यात तुझ्या लोकांच्या बाबतीत काय घडणार आहे, हे तुला समजावून सांगायला मी येथे आलो आहे. दानीएला, हा दृष्टान्त भविष्यकाळासंबंधी आहे.’
14Now I have come to make you understand what shall happen to your people in the latter days; for the vision is yet for many days:
15तो माणूस माझ्याशी बोलत असताना, मी खाली वाकून जमिनीवर डोके टेकविले. मी बोलू शकत नव्हतो.
15and when he had spoken to me according to these words, I set my face toward the ground, and was mute.
16मग माणसाप्रमाणे दिसणाऱ्या एकाने माझ्या ओठांना स्पर्श केला मग मी तोंड उघडले व बोलू लागलो. माझ्यासमोर उभ्या असणाऱ्याला मी म्हणालो,”महाराज दृष्टान्तात मी जे काही पाहिले, त्याने मी अस्वस्थ झालो आहे आणि घाबरलो आहे मी असहाय आहे.
16Behold, one in the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spoke and said to him who stood before me, my lord, by reason of the vision my sorrows are turned on me, and I retain no strength.
17“महाराज, मी दानीएल तुमचा सेवक.मी तुमच्याशी कसा बोलू शकेन? माझा धीर खचला आहे व वास घेणेही मला कठीण आहे.”
17For how can the servant of this my lord talk with this my lord? for as for me, immediately there remained no strength in me, neither was there breath left in me.
18माणसाप्रमाणे दिसणाऱ्याने मला पुन्हा स्पर्श केला त्या स्पर्शाने मला शक्ती आली.
18Then there touched me again one like the appearance of a man, and he strengthened me.
19मग तो म्हणाला, ‘दानीएला घाबरू नकोस, देवाचे तुझ्यावर खूप प्रेम आहे, तुला शांती लाभो! धीर धर! धीर धर!’ “त्याच्या बोलण्याने मला धीर आला मग मी म्हणालो, महाराज तुम्ही मला धीर दिलात आता तुम्ही बोलू शकता. 2
19He said, “Greatly beloved man, don’t be afraid: peace be to you, be strong, yes, be strong.” When he spoke to me, I was strengthened, and said, “Let my lord speak; for you have strengthened me.”
20मग तो म्हणाला, “दानीएला, मी तुझ्याकडे का आलो, तुला माहीत आहे का? लवकरच पारसच्या राजपुत्राशी (देवदूताशी) लढायला मला परत गेले पाहिजे. मी जाईल तेव्हा ग्रीसचा राजपुत्र (देवदूत) येईल.
20Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? Now I will return to fight with the prince of Persia. When I go forth, behold, the prince of Greece shall come.
21पण दानीएल, जाण्याआधी. प्रथम सत्याच्या ग्रंथात काय लिहिले आहे ते मी तुला सांगितले पाहिजे, त्या दुष्ट देवदूतांच्या विरोधात माझ्या बाजूने मीखाएलशिवाय कोणीही उभा राहणार नाही. मीखाएल तुझ्या लोकांवर राज्य करणारा राजपुत्र (देवदूत) आहे.
21But I will tell you that which is inscribed in the writing of truth: and there is none who holds with me against these, but Michael your prince.”
