¹मला मग परमेश्वराचे शब्द ऐकू आले. तो म्हणाला,

¹Again the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,

²“मानवपुत्रा, यरुशलेमच्या लोकांना त्यांनी केलेल्या भयंकर कृत्यांबद्दल सांग.

²Son of man, cause Jerusalem to know her abominations;

³‘परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, यरुशलेमला पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, असे तू त्याना सांगितले पाहिजे. तुझ्या इतिहासावर नजर टाक. कनानमध्ये तुझा जन्म झाला. तुझे वडील अमोरी व आई हित्ती होती.

³and say, Thus says the Lord Yahweh to Jerusalem: Your birth and your birth is of the land of the Canaanite; the Amorite was your father, and your mother was a Hittite.

⁴यरुशलेम, तू जन्मलीस तेव्हा तुझी नाळ कापायला कोणीही नव्हते. कोणीही मीठ टाकून तुला आंघोळ घातली नाही वा तुला दुपट्यात गुंडाळले नाही.

⁴As for your birth, in the day you were born your navel was not cut, neither were you washed in water to cleanse you; you weren’t salted at all, nor swaddled at all.

⁵यरुशलेम, तू अगदी एकटी होतीस. कोणाला तुझ्यासाठी वाईट वाटले नाही वा कोणीही तुझी काळजी घेतली नाही. तू जन्मताच, तुझ्या आईवडिलानी तुला शेतात टाकून दिले. त्यावेळी तू रक्ताने माखलेली होतीस, तुझ्या अंगावर वारही तशीच होती.

⁵No eye pitied you, to do any of these things to you, to have compassion on you; but you were cast out in the open field, for that your person was abhorred, in the day that you were born.

⁶“त्याच वेळी मी तुझ्याजवळून गेलो. मी तुला रक्तात लोळताना व हातपाय हालविताना पाहिले. तू रक्ताने माखली होतीस. पण मी तुला म्हणालो, “जिवंत राहा” खरेच, तू रक्ताने माखलेली असूनसुद्धा मी म्हणालो “जिवंत राहा.”

⁶When I passed by you, and saw you wallowing in your blood, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live; yes, I said to you, Though you are in your blood, live.

⁷शेतातल्या रोप्याला जगवावे, तसे तुला जगवायला मी मदत केली. तू वाढत गेलीस आणि तरुणी झालीस. तू वयात आलीस, तुझ्यात तारुण्याची लक्षणे दिसू लागली. तुझे केसही वाढू लागले, पण तरीसुद्धा तू विवस्त्रच होतीस, उघडीच होतीस.

⁷I caused you to multiply as that which grows in the field, and you increased and grew great, and you attained to excellent ornament; your breasts were fashioned, and your hair was grown; yet you were naked and bare.

⁸मी तुला पाखरले. तू प्रणयोत्सुक झाली होतीस. म्हणून माझे वस्त्र तुला लपेटून मी तुझी नग्नता झाकली. मी तुला लग्नाचे वचन दिले. मी तुझ्याबरोबर करार केला आणि तू माझी झालीस.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.

⁸Now when I passed by you, and looked at you, behold, your time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over you, and covered your nakedness: yes, I swore to you, and entered into a covenant with you, says the Lord Yahweh, and you became mine.

⁹“मी तुला आंघोळ घातली. तुझ्या अंगावरचे रक्त धुवून काढले. तुझ्या अंगाला तेल चोळले.

⁹Then washed I you with water; yes, I thoroughly washed away your blood from you, and I anointed you with oil.

¹⁰मी तुला उत्तम वस्त्रे व मऊ चामड्याचे जोडे दिले. तुझ्या डोक्याला तागाचा पट्टा गुंडाळला व तुला रेशमी ओढणी पांघरली.

¹⁰I clothed you also with embroidered work, and shod you with sealskin, and I dressed you about with fine linen, and covered you with silk.

¹¹मग मी तुला काही दागिने दिले. तुझ्या हातात बांगड्या व गळ्यात हार घातला.

¹¹I decked you with ornaments, and I put bracelets on your hands, and a chain on your neck.

¹²मी तुला नथ, कर्णभूषणे आणि सुंदर मुकुट देऊन सजविले.

¹²I put a ring on your nose, and earrings in your ears, and a beautiful crown on your head.

¹³तू तुझ्या सोन्या-चांदीच्या अलंकारात व ताग, रेशीम यांच्या कशिदा काढलेल्या वस्त्रांत फारच सुंदर दिसत होतीस. तू चांगल्यातले चांगले अन्न खाल्लेस. तुझे सौंदर्य अप्रतिम होते. तू राणी झालीस!

¹³Thus you were decked with gold and silver; and your clothing was of fine linen, and silk, and embroidered work; you ate fine flour, and honey, and oil; and you were exceeding beautiful, and you prospered to royal estate.

¹⁴तुझ्या सौंदर्याने तुला प्रसिद्धी मिळाली. पण माझ्यामुळे तू सुंदर झालीस!” परमेश्वराने, माझ्या प्रभूने ह्या गोष्टी सांगितल्या.

¹⁴Your renown went forth among the nations for your beauty; for it was perfect, through my majesty which I had put on you, says the Lord Yahweh.

¹⁵देव म्हणाला, “पण तू आपल्या सौंदर्यावरच विश्वास ठेवायला सुरवात केलीस. तू तुझ्या चांगल्या नावाचा उपयोग करुन माझा विश्वासघात केलास. येणाऱ्या जाणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाबरोबर तू वेश्येप्रमाणे वागलीस. त्या सर्वांच्या तू स्वाधीन झालीस.

¹⁵But you trusted in your beauty, and played the prostitute because of your renown, and poured out your prostitution on everyone who passed by; his it was.

¹⁶तुझ्या सुंदर वस्त्रांचा उपयोग तू तुझी पूजास्थाने सजविण्यासाठी केलास. आणि तेथे तू वेश्येसारखे वर्तन केलेस. तुझ्याजवळ येणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाच्या तू स्वाधीन झालीस.

¹⁶You took of your garments, and made for yourselves high places decked with various colors, and played the prostitute on them: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so.

¹⁷मग मी तुला दिलेल्या सोन्या चांदीच्या अलंकाराचा उपयोग तू पुरुषांचे पुतळे बनविण्यासाठी केलास आणि त्या पुतळ्यांशीही व्यभिचार केलास.

¹⁷You also took your beautiful jewels of my gold and of my silver, which I had given you, and made for yourself images of men, and played the prostitute with them;

¹⁸सुंदर कापड आणून तू त्या मूर्तींना कपडे शिवलेस. मी तुला दिलेले अत्तर आणि धूप तू त्या मूर्तींपुढे ठेवलास.

¹⁸and you took your embroidered garments, and covered them, and set my oil and my incense before them.

¹⁹मी तुला भाकरी, मध व तेल दिले. तेही तू त्या मूर्तींना दिलेस. तू खोट्या देवांनी प्रसन्न व्हावे म्हणून सुगांधित द्रव्ये म्हणून ह्या सर्व गोष्टी त्यांना अर्पण केल्यास. त्या खोट्या देवांबरोबर तू वेश्येप्रमाणे वागलीस.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.

¹⁹My bread also which I gave you, fine flour, and oil, and honey, with which I fed you, you even set it before them for a pleasant aroma; and thus it was, says the Lord Yahweh.

²⁰देव म्हणाला, “आपल्याला मुले झाली. पण तू आपली मुले घेतलीस व त्यांना ठार करुन खोट्या देवांना अर्पण केलेस. मला फसवून त्या खोट्या देवांकडे जाताना तू जी दुष्कृत्ये केलीस त्यातील ही फक्त काहीच होत.

²⁰Moreover you have taken your sons and your daughters, whom you have borne to me, and you have sacrificed these to them to be devoured. Was your prostitution a small matter,

²¹“तू माझ्या मुलांचा वध केलास आणि अग्निद्वारा त्यांना त्या खोट्या देवापर्यंत पोहोचविलेस.

²¹that you have slain my children, and delivered them up, in causing them to pass through the fire to them?

²²तू माझा त्याग केलास आणि अशी दुष्कृत्ये केलीस. तुला तुझ्या बालपणाचे विस्मरण झाले. मला तू सापडलीस तेव्हा तू नग्नावस्थेत रक्तात लोळत होतीस हे तुला आठवले नाही.

²²In all your abominations and your prostitution you have not remembered the days of your youth, when you were naked and bare, and were wallowing in your blood.

²³“ह्या सर्व दुष्कृत्यानंतर हे यरुशलेम, तुझे भले होणार नाही.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणतो.

²³It has happened after all your wickedness, (woe, woe to you! says the Lord Yahweh),

²⁴“ह्या सर्व गोष्टीनंतर, तू त्या खोट्या देवांना पूजण्यासाठी मातीचा ढिगारा रचलास. प्रत्येक रस्त्याच्या कोपऱ्यावर तू अशी पूजास्थाने बांधलीस.

²⁴that you have built for yourselves a vaulted place, and have made yourselves a lofty place in every street.

²⁵प्रत्येक रस्त्याच्या सुरवातीला तू मातीचे ढिगारे रचलेस. तू तुझ्या सौंदर्याला कमीपणा आणलास, तुझ्या सौंदर्याचा उपयोग तू तुझ्या जवळून जाणाऱ्या प्रत्येकाला पकडण्यासाठी केलास. त्यांना तुझे पाय दिसावे म्हणून तू तुझी वस्त्रे वर उचललीस आणि त्यांच्याबरोबर वेश्येसारखी वागलीस.

²⁵You have built your lofty place at the head of every way, and have made your beauty an abomination, and have opened your feet to everyone who passed by, and multiplied your prostitution.

²⁶मग मोठे लिंग असलेल्या शेजाऱ्याकडे, मिसरकडे तू गेलीस व मला संतापविण्यासाठी त्याच्याबरोबर अनेकदा व्यभिचार केलास.

²⁶You have also committed sexual immorality with the Egyptians, your neighbors, great of flesh; and have multiplied your prostitution, to provoke me to anger.

²⁷म्हणून मी तुला शिक्षा केली. तुझ्या भत्तयातील काही भाग (जमीन) मी काढून घेतला. तुझ्या शत्रूंना म्हणजेच पलिष्ट्यांच्या मुलींना (शहरांना) त्यांना पाहिजे तसे तुझ्याशी वागू दिले. तुझी दुष्कृत्ये पाहून त्यांनासुध्दा धक्काबसला.

²⁷See therefore, I have stretched out my hand over you, and have diminished your ordinary food, and delivered you to the will of those who hate you, the daughters of the Philistines, who are ashamed of your lewd way.

²⁸मग तू अश्शूरकडे व्यभिचार करण्यासाठी गेलीस. पण तुझे समाधान होऊ शकले नाही. तुझी कधीच तृप्ती झाली नाही.

²⁸You have played the prostitute also with the Assyrians, because you were insatiable; yes, you have played the prostitute with them, and yet you weren’t satisfied.

²⁹म्हणून मग तू कनानकडे वळलीस व तेथून खास्द्यांकडे गेलीस. पण अजूनही तू तृप्त नाहीस.

²⁹You have moreover multiplied your prostitution to the land of merchants, to Chaldea; and yet you weren’t satisfied with this.

³⁰तू खूपच दुर्बल आहेस. म्हणूनच सर्व पुरुषांनी (देशांनी) तुला पापे करायला लावले. तू निर्दयपणे हुकमत चालवणाऱ्या वेश्येप्रमाणे वागलीस.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.

³⁰How weak is your heart, says the Lord Yahweh, since you do all these things, the work of an impudent prostitute;

³¹देव म्हणाला, “पण तू पूर्णपणे वेश्यावृत्ती पत्करली नाहीस. तू प्रत्येक रस्त्याच्या टोकाला मातीचे ढिगारे रचलेस व प्रत्येक रस्त्याच्या कोपऱ्यावर पूजास्थाने बांधलीस. तू सर्व पुरुषांबरोबर व्यभिचार केलास. पण तू, वेश्येप्रमाणे, त्यांच्याजवळ मोबदला मागितला नाहीस.

³¹in that you build your vaulted place at the head of every way, and make your lofty place in every street, and have not been as a prostitute, in that you scorn pay.

³²“व्यभिचारिणी, तुला स्वत:च्या पतीऐवजी परक्यांबरोबर व्यभिचार करायला आवडतो.

³²A wife who commits adultery! who takes strangers instead of her husband!

³³बहुतेक वेश्या पुरुषांना पैसे देण्यास भाग पाडतात. पण तूच सर्व प्रियकरांना पैसे दिलेस. तू व्यभिचारासाठी तुझ्याकडे बोलविलेल्या सर्व पुरुषांना पैसे दिलेस.

³³They give gifts to all prostitutes; but you give your gifts to all your lovers, and bribe them, that they may come to you on every side for your prostitution.

³⁴तू बहुतेक वेश्यांच्या अगदी उलट वागलीस. त्या पुरुषांकडून सक्तीने पैसे घेतात, तर तू तुझ्याबरोबर व्यभिचार करण्यासाठी उलट पुरुषांनाच पैसे देतेस.”

³⁴You are different from other women in your prostitution, in that no one follows you to play the prostitute; and whereas you give hire, and no hire is given to you, therefore you are different.

³⁵वारांगने, परमेश्वराकडून आलेला संदेश ऐक.

³⁵Therefore, prostitute, hear the word of Yahweh:

³⁶परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणतो, “तू पैसा खर्च केलास आणि तुझ्या प्रियकरांना आणि घाणेरड्या देवांना तुझे नग्न शरीर पाहू दिलेस, तुझ्याबरोबर व्याभिचार करु दिलास. तुझ्या मुलाना ठार मारुन त्यांचे रक्त खोट्या देवांना भेट म्हणून दिलेस.

³⁶Thus says the Lord Yahweh, Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your abominations, and for the blood of your children, that you gave to them;

³⁷म्हणून मी तू ज्यांच्यावर प्रेम केलेस, त्या तुझ्या सर्व प्रियकरांना आणि ज्यांचा तू तिरस्कार करतेस त्यांना, एकत्र आणीन आणि तुझे नग्न शरीर पाहू देईन. तुझे संपूर्ण नग्न शरीर ते पाहतील.

³⁷therefore see, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those who you have loved, with all those who you have hated; I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.

³⁸मग मी तुला शिक्षा करीन. खुनी व व्यभिचाराचे पाप केलेल्या स्त्रीप्रमाणे मी तुला शिक्षा करीन. क्रोधाविष्ट व मत्सरी पतीकडून व्हावी, तशी शिक्षा तुला होईल.

³⁸I will judge you, as women who break wedlock and shed blood are judged; and I will bring on you the blood of wrath and jealousy.

³⁹मी त्या तुझ्या प्रियकरांच्या हाती तुला देईन. ते तुझे मातीचे ढिगारे उद्ध्वस्त करतील. तुझी पूजास्थाने जाळतील. तुझी वस्त्रे फाडतील आणि तुझे सुंदर अलंकार घेतील. मला तू ज्या अवस्थेत सापडलीस, त्याच अवस्थेत (उघडी व नग्न) तुला ते सोडतील.

³⁹I will also give you into their hand, and they shall throw down your vaulted place, and break down your lofty places; and they shall strip you of your clothes, and take your beautiful jewels; and they shall leave you naked and bare.

⁴⁰तुला ठार करण्यासाठी लोकांना जमवून ते तुझ्यावर दगड फेकतील. मग तलवारीने तुझे तुकडे तुकडे करतील.

⁴⁰They shall also bring up a company against you, and they shall stone you with stones, and thrust you through with their swords.

⁴¹ते तुझे घर (मंदिर) जाळतील. इतर स्त्रियांना कळावे म्हणून ते तुला शिक्षा करतील. मी तुला वेश्येप्रमाणे वागू देणार नाही. तुझ्या प्रियकरांना पैसे देऊ देणार नाही.

⁴¹They shall burn your houses with fire, and execute judgments on you in the sight of many women; and I will cause you to cease from playing the prostitute, and you shall also give no hire any more.

⁴²मग माझा राग व मत्सर निवळेल मी शांत होईन. पुन्हा कधीही रागावणार नाही.

⁴²So will I cause my wrath toward you to rest, and my jealousy shall depart from you, and I will be quiet, and will be no more angry.

⁴³हे सर्व का घडलं? कारण बालपणी काय घडले ह्याचे तुला विस्मरण झाले. तू वाईट गोष्टीबद्दल मला तुला शिक्षा करावी लागली. पण तू त्याहून भयंकर गोष्टी करण्याचा बेत केलास.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.

⁴³Because you have not remembered the days of your youth, but have raged against me in all these things; therefore, behold, I also will bring your way on your head, says the Lord Yahweh: and you shall not commit this lewdness with all your abominations.

⁴⁴“तुझ्याबद्दल बोलणाऱ्या सर्व लोकांना आता आणखी एक गोष्ट सांगायला मिळेल. ‘ती म्हणजे, खाण तशी माती (जशी आई, तशी लेक)’

⁴⁴Behold, everyone who uses proverbs shall use this proverb against you, saying, As is the mother, so is her daughter.

⁴⁵तू तुझ्या आईची मुलगी शोभतेस खरी! पतीची किंवा मुलांची तुला पर्वा नाही. तू अगदी तुझ्या बहिणीप्रमाणे आहेस. तुम्ही दोघीनी ही तुमच्या पतींचा व मुलांचा तिरस्कार केला. तू तुझ्या आईवडिलांसारखी आहेस. तुझी आई हित्ती तर वडील अमोरी होते.

⁴⁵You are the daughter of your mother, who loathes her husband and her children; and you are the sister of your sisters, who loathed their husbands and their children: your mother was a Hittite, and your father an Amorite.

⁴⁶तुझी मोठी बहीण शोमरोन होय. ती तुझ्या उत्तरेला तिच्या मुलींबरोबर (गावांसह) राहत होती. तुझी धाकटी बहीण सदोम ही तुझ्या दक्षिणेला तिच्या मुलींसह (गावांसह) राहत होती.

⁴⁶Your elder sister is Samaria, who dwells at your left hand, she and her daughters; and your younger sister, who dwells at your right hand, is Sodom and her daughters.

⁴⁷त्यांनी केलेली भयंकर कृत्ये तू केलीसच पण त्यांच्यापेक्षाही वाईट कृत्ये केलीस.

⁴⁷Yet have you not walked in their ways, nor done after their abominations; but, as if that were a very little thing , you were more corrupt than they in all your ways.

⁴⁸मी परमेश्वर व प्रभू आहे. मी जिवंत आहे. माझ्या प्रतिज्ञेवर सांगतो की सदोम व तिच्या मुलींनी, तुझ्याइतकी व तुझ्या मुलींइतकी दुष्कृत्ये कधीच केली नाहीत.”

⁴⁸As I live, says the Lord Yahweh, Sodom your sister has not done, she nor her daughters, as you have done, you and your daughters.

⁴⁹देव म्हणाला, “तुझी बहीण सदोम आणि तिच्या मुली गर्विष्ठ होत्या. त्यांना अन्नधान्याची विपुलता होती आणि त्यांच्याजवळ भरपूर वेळ होता. पण त्यांनी गरिबांना असहाय्य लोकांना मदत केली नाही.

⁴⁹Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom: pride, fullness of bread, and prosperous ease was in her and in her daughters; neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

⁵⁰सदोम व तिच्या मुली अती गर्विष्ट झाल्या, आणि त्यांनी माझ्या समोर भयानक गोष्टी करण्यास सुरवात केली. मी ते पाहताच त्यांना शिक्षा केली.”

⁵⁰They were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good.

⁵¹देव म्हणाला, “शोमरोनने तुझ्याहून अर्धीसुद्धा दुष्कृत्ये केली नाहीत. तू तिच्यापेक्षा खूपच जास्त भयानक कृत्ये केलीस. तू तुझ्या बहिणीपेक्षा खूपच जास्त पाप केलेस. तुझ्या तुलनेत सदोम व शोमरोन बऱ्याच म्हणायच्या.

⁵¹Neither has Samaria committed half of your sins; but you have multiplied your abominations more than they, and have justified your sisters by all your abominations which you have done.

⁵²“तेव्हा आता तुला अपमान सहन केलाच पाहिजे. तुझ्या बहिणींना तुझ्या तुलनेत, तूच चांगले ठरविले आहेस. तू भयंकर गोष्टी केल्या आहेस, तेव्हा तुला लज्जित व्हावेच लागेल.”

⁵²You also, bear you your own shame, in that you have given judgment for your sisters; through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous that you: yes, be also confounded, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.

⁵³देव म्हणाला, “मी सदोम आणि तिच्या भोवतीच्या गावांचा नाश केला. मी शोमरोनचा आणि त्याच्या भोवतालच्या गावांचाही नाश केला, आणि आता, यरुशलेम, मी तुझा नाश करीन. मी ती शहरे पुन्हा वसवीन. यरुशलेम, तुलासुध्दा मी पुन्हा वसवीन.

⁵³I will turn again their captivity, the captivity of Sodom and her daughters, and the captivity of Samaria and her daughters, and the captivity of your captives in their midst;

⁵⁴मी तुझे सांत्वन करीन. मग तू स्वत: केलेली दुष्कृत्ये आठवून लज्जित होशील.

⁵⁴that you may bear your own shame, and may be ashamed because of all that you have done, in that you are a comfort to them.

⁵⁵तेव्हा तुझी आणि तुझ्या बहिणींची पुन्हा उभारणी होईल. सदोम व तिच्याभोवतालची गावे, शोमरोन व तिच्या आजुबाजूची गावे आणि तू व तुझ्या सभोवतीची गावेही पुन्हा वसविली जातील.”

⁵⁵Your sisters, Sodom and her daughters, shall return to their former estate; and Samaria and her daughters shall return to their former estate; and you and your daughters shall return to your former estate.

⁵⁶देव म्हणाला, “पूर्वी तू गर्विष्ठ होतीस. तेव्हा तू आपल्या बहिणीची सदोमची, चेष्टा केलीस. पण आता तू पुन्हा तसे करणार नाहीस.

⁵⁶For your sister Sodom was not mentioned by your mouth in the day of your pride,

⁵⁷तुला शिक्षा होण्याआधी, तुझे शेजारी तुझी थट्टा करण्याआधी, तू अशी वागलीस. अरामच्या आणि पलिष्ट्यांच्या मुली आता तुझी चेष्टा करीत आहेत.

⁵⁷before your wickedness was uncovered, as at the time of the reproach of the daughters of Syria, and of all who are around her, the daughters of the Philistines, who do despite to you all around.

⁵⁸तू केलेल्या दुष्कृत्यांबद्दल तुला दु:ख भोगलेच पाहिजे.” परमेश्वर असे म्हणाला.

⁵⁸You have borne your lewdness and your abominations, says Yahweh.

⁵⁹परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, पुढील गोष्टी सांगतो, “तू मला जसे वागवलेस, तसेच मी तुला वागवीन. तू आपल्या लग्नाचे वचन मोडलेस. आपल्यातील कराराचा मान राखला नाहीस.

⁵⁹For thus says the Lord Yahweh: I will also deal with you as you have done, who have despised the oath in breaking the covenant.

⁶⁰पण आपण केलेल्या कराराची मला आठवण असेल. मी तुझ्याबरोबर करार केला होता. आणि तो कायम चालू राहणार आहे.

⁶⁰Nevertheless I will remember my covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish to you an everlasting covenant.

⁶¹मी तुझ्या बहिणींना तुझ्याकडे आणीन आणि त्यांना तुझ्या मुली करीन. हे आपल्या करारात नव्हते, पण मी हे तुझ्यासाठी करीन. मग तुला तुझ्या दुष्कृत्यांचे स्मरण होऊन लाज वाटेल.

⁶¹Then you shall remember your ways, and be ashamed, when you shall receive your sisters, your elder sisters and your younger; and I will give them to you for daughters, but not by your covenant.

⁶²मग मी तुझ्याबरोबर माझा करार करीन. मग तुला कळेल की मीच परमेश्वर आहे.

⁶²I will establish my covenant with you; and you shall know that I am Yahweh;

⁶³मी तुझ्याशी चांगले वागीन. मग तू माझे स्मरण ठेवशील आणि तू केलेल्या वाईट कृत्यांची तुला लाज वाटेल. तू जे काय केलेस, त्याबद्दल मी तुला क्षमा करीन. मग तुला पुन्हा लज्जित व्हावे लागणार नाही.” परमेश्वर, माझा प्रभू, असे म्हणाला.
