¹अहो मूर्ख गलतीकरांनो! ज्या तुमच्या डोळ्यांसमोर येशू ख्रिस्ताला वधस्तंभावर खिळलेले जाहीर रितीने तुम्हांला वर्णन करुन सांगितले होते त्या तुम्हांला कोणी भुरळ घातली आहे?

¹Foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you not to obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was openly set forth among you as crucified?

²मला तुमच्याकडून ही एक गोष्ट शिकायची आहे? आत्म्याची दाने तुम्हाला नियमशास्त्राचे पालन करण्याने मिळाली आहेत की सुवार्ता ऐकून तिच्यावर विश्वास ठेवल्याने मिळाली आहेत?

²I just want to learn this from you. Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

³तुम्ही इतके मूर्ख आहात का की, जे जीवन तुम्ही आत्म्यात सुरु केले ते आता देहाने पूर्ण करीत आहात?

³Are you so foolish? Having begun in the Spirit, are you now completed in the flesh?

⁴तुम्ही व्यर्थच इतकी दु:खे अनुभवली का? माझी आशा आहे की ती व्यर्थ नव्हती.

⁴Did you suffer so many things in vain, if it is indeed in vain?

⁵देव जो तुम्हांला आत्मा पुरवितो आणि तुम्हामध्ये चमत्कार करतो, तो तुम्ही नियमशास्त्राचे पालन करता म्हणून का सुवार्ता ऐकून तीवर विश्वास ठेवला म्हणून तो हे करतो.

⁵He therefore who supplies the Spirit to you, and works miracles among you, does he do it by the works of the law, or by hearing of faith?

⁶ते, अब्राहामाविषयी पवित्र शास्त्र सांगते तसे आहे: “त्याने देवावर विश्वास ठेवला, आणि ते त्याच्यासाठी देवाकडून नीतिमत्त्व असे गणण्यात आले.”

⁶Even as Abraham “believed God, and it was counted to him for righteousness.”

⁷मग तुम्हाला समजले पाहिजे की जे विश्वास ठेवतात, तेच अब्राहामाचे खरे वंशज आहेत.

⁷Know therefore that those who are of faith, the same are children of Abraham.

⁸पवित्र शास्त्राने आधीच सांगितले आहे की, देव विदेशी लोकांना त्यांच्या विश्वासाने नीतिमान ठरवील. त्याने अब्राहामाला पूर्वीच सुवार्ता सांगितली की, “तुझ्याद्वारे सर्व राष्ट्रे आशीर्वादित होतील.”

⁸The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the Good News beforehand to Abraham, saying, “In you all the nations will be blessed.” Genesis 12:3; 18:18; 22:18

⁹So then, those who are of faith are blessed with the faithful Abraham.

¹⁰For as many as are of the works of the law are under a curse. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who doesn’t continue in all things that are written in the book of the law, to do them.” Deuteronomy 27:26

¹¹नियमशास्त्रामुळे कोणीही मनुष्य देवासमोर नीतिमान ठरत नाही, हे उघड आहे. कारण शास्त्र सांगते की, “विश्वासामुळे नीतिमान मनुष्य जगेल.”

¹¹Now that no man is justified by the law before God is evident, for, “The righteous will live by faith.” Habakkuk 2:4

¹²नियमशास्त्र विश्वासाचे नाही. त्याऐवजी पवित्र शास्त्र असे सांगते की, “जो कोणी ते पाळतो तो त्यामुळे जगेल.”

¹²The law is not of faith, but, “The man who does them will live by them.” Leviticus 18:5

¹³Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. For it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree,” Deuteronomy 21:23

¹⁴ख्रिस्ताने आम्हाला मुक्त केले यासाठी की, अब्राहामाला मिळालेला आशीर्वाद ख्रिस्ताद्वारे विदेश्यांना मिळावा. यासाठी की विश्वासाद्वारे आम्हांला आत्म्याचे अभिवचन मिळावे.

¹⁴that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

¹⁵बंधूंनो, मी तुम्हांला रोजच्या जीवनातील उदाहरण देतो. ज्याप्रमाणे मनुष्यांनी केलेला करार कोणीही रद्द करत नाही किंवा त्यात भर घलीत नाही. याबाबतीतसुद्धा तसेच आहे.

¹⁵Brothers, speaking of human terms, though it is only a man’s covenant, yet when it has been confirmed, no one makes it void, or adds to it.

¹⁶अब्राहामाला व त्याच्या वंशजांना अभिवचने दिलेली होती. लक्षात घ्या की, ते “आणि त्याच्या वंशजांना” असे अनेकजणांसांबंधी म्हणत नाही, तर जसे काय ते एका व्यक्तीला म्हणते, “आणि तुइया संतानाला” (आणि तो वंशज) ख्रिस्त आहे.

¹⁶Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his seed. He doesn’t say, “To seeds,” as of many, but as of one, “To your seed,” Genesis 12:7; 13:15; 24:7 which is Christ.

¹⁷माझ्या म्हणण्याचा अर्थ असा की, देवाने अगोदर निश्चित केलेला करार चारशे तीस वर्षे उशिरा आलेल्या नियमशास्त्राने अभिवचन रद्द करण्यास केला नव्हता.

¹⁷Now I say this. A covenant confirmed beforehand by God in Christ, the law, which came four hundred thirty years after, does not annul, so as to make the promise of no effect.

¹⁸कारण वतन जर नियम शास्त्रावर अवलंबून होते, तर येथून पुढे ते अभिवचनावर अवलंबून असणार नाही. परंतु देवाने अभिवचनामुळे ब्राहामाला मुक्तपणे हे वतन दिले.

¹⁸For if the inheritance is of the law, it is no more of promise; but God has granted it to Abraham by promise.

¹⁹तर मग, नियमशास्त्राचा उद्देश काय होता? ज्या संतानाला वचन दिले होते त्याच्या येण्यापर्यंत पापामुळे ते अभिवचनाला जोडण्यात आले होते. नियमशास्त्र हे देवदूताकरवी मोशे या मध्यस्थाच्या होती देण्यात आले.

¹⁹What then is the law? It was added because of transgressions, until the seed should come to whom the promise has been made. It was ordained through angels by the hand of a mediator.

²⁰आता मध्यस्थ हा फक्तएकाच पक्षाचा नसतो. पण देव एकच आहे आणि त्याची अभिवचने दुसऱ्या पक्षावर अवलंबून नाहीत.

²⁰Now a mediator is not between one, but God is one.

²¹नियमशास्त्र हे देवाच्या अभिवचनाविरुद्ध आहे, असा याचा अर्थ होतो का? अर्थातच नाही! कारण लोकांना जीवन आणण्यासाठी जर नियमशास्त्र देण्यात आले असेल, तर मग नीतिमत्त्व त्याच नियमशास्त्राद्वारे येईल.

²¹Is the law then against the promises of God? Certainly not! For if there had been a law given which could make alive, most certainly righteousness would have been of the law.

²²पण पवित्र शास्त्राने स्पष्ट केले आहे की, संपूर्ण जग ह पापाच्या सामर्थ्याने जखडून टाकले होते, यासाठी की, जे अभिवचन देण्यात आले होते ते जे येशू ख्रिस्तावर विश्वास ठेवतात, त्यांना देण्यात यावे.

²²But the Scriptures imprisoned all things under sin, that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

²³हा विश्वास येण्याअगोदर नियमशास्त्राने आपणांस कैद्याप्रमाणे पहाऱ्यात ठेवले होते. आणि हा येणारा विश्वास आम्हांला प्रगट होईपर्यंत आम्हांला कैदी म्हणून ठेवण्यात आले होते.

²³But before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, confined for the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

²⁴त्यामुळे आपल्या विश्वासाच्या आधारे आपण नीतिमान ठरविले जावे म्हणून नियमशास्त्र जे आपणांला ख्रिस्ताकडे घेऊन येणारे होते, ते आपले पालक होते.

²⁴So that the law has become our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

²⁵पण आता हा विश्वास आलाच आहे, तर यापुढे आम्ही या कडक पालकाच्या अधीन नाही.

²⁵But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor.

²⁶कारण तुम्ही सर्व सुवार्तेवर विश्वास ठेवल्यामुळे येशू ख्रिस्ताद्वारे देवाचे पुत्र आहात.

²⁶For you are all children of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁷कारण तुम्ही जितक्यांनी ख्रिस्तात बाप्तिस्मा घेतला तितक्यांनी ख्रिस्ताला परिधान केले आहे.

²⁷For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

²⁸तेथे यहूदी किंवा ग्रीक, गुलाम किंवा स्वतंत्र, पुरुष किंवा स्त्री हा भेदच नाही. कारण तुम्ही सर्व ख्रिस्त येशूमध्ये एक आहात.

²⁸There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

²⁹आणि जर तुम्ही ख्रिस्ताचे आहात तर तुम्ही अब्राहामाचे संतान आणि देवाने अब्राहामाला

²⁹If you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed and heirs according to promise.
