¹आमोजचा मुलगा यशया याला यहुदा व यरूशलेम यांच्या बद्दल दृष्टान्त झाला.

¹This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

²शेवटच्या दिवसात, परमेश्वराचे मंदिर असलेला डोंगर सर्व डोंगरांपेक्षा उंच होईल. तो टेकड्यांपेक्षा उंच उचलला जाईल. सर्व देशांतील लोक तेथे जातील.

²It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

³पुष्कळ लोक तेथे जातील. ते म्हणतील, “आपण परमेश्वराच्या डोंगरावर जाऊ या. आपण याकोबच्या देवाच्या मंदिरात जाऊ या. मग देव, त्याचा जगण्याचा मार्ग आपल्याला दाखवील. आणि आपण त्या मार्गाने जाऊ.” देवाच्या शिकवणुकीची सुरूवात, परमेश्वराच्या संदेशाचा आरंभ यरूशलेममधील सीयोनच्या डोंगरात होईल. व तो सर्व जगात पोहोचेल.

³Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

⁴नंतर सर्व देशांतील लोकांचा न्याय देवच करील. देव माणसा-माणसांतील वाद मिटवील. लोक लढण्यासाठी शस्त्र वापरणार नाहीत. लोक भाल्यांचे कोयते करतील. लोक एकमेकांविरूध्द लढणार नाहीत. इत:पर युध्दाचे शिक्षण दिले जाणार नाही.

⁴He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁵याकोबच्या वंशजांनो, या आपण परमेश्वराच्या प्रकाशातून चालू या.

⁶तुम्हाला हे सांगायचे कारण तुम्ही तुमच्या लोकांपासून दूर गेलात. तुमचे लोक पूर्वेकडील चुकीच्या कल्पनांनी भारावून गेले आहेत. पलिष्ट्यांप्रमाणे ते भविष्य सांगण्याचा प्रयत्न करत आहेत. त्यांनी परकीयांच्या कल्पनांचा स्वीकार केला आहे.

⁶For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.

⁷दुसरीकडून आणलेल्या सोन्याचांदीने तुमचा देश भरलेला आहे. तुमच्याकडे खूप खजिने आहेत. असंख्य घोडे व रथ आहेत.

⁷Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

⁸तुमचा देश लोक पूजत असलेल्या मूर्तीनी भरून गेला आहे. लोकच त्या मूर्ती घडवितात आणि त्यांची पूजा करतात.

⁸Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

⁹दिवसेंदिवस लोक वाईट होत चालले आहेत. ते नीच पातळीवर पोहोचले आहेत. देवा, तू नक्कीच त्यांना क्षमा करणार नाहीस. हो ना?

⁹Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.

¹⁰येथून चालते व्हा. कडेकपारीमागे धुळीत लपून बसा. तुम्ही परमेश्वराची भीती बाळगली पाहिजे आणि त्याच्या महान सामर्थ्यापासून लपून राहिले पाहिजे.

¹⁰Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹¹गर्विष्ठांचा गर्व गळून पडेल आणि ते शरमिंदे होऊन माना खाली घालतील. अशा वेळी फक्त परमेश्वरच ताठ मानेने उभा असेल.

¹¹The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

¹²परमेश्वराने एक दिवस निश्चित केला आहे. त्या दिवशी परमेश्वर गर्विष्ठ व फुशारक्या मारणाऱ्या लोकांना शिक्षा करील. मग त्या लोकांचे महत्व कमी होईल.

¹²For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:

¹³जरी हे लोक लबानोनामधील उंच गंधसरूप्रमाणे वा बाशानमधील मोठ्या एला वृक्षांप्रमाणे असले तरी देव त्यांना शिक्षा करील.

¹³For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

¹⁴हे गर्विष्ठ लोक उतुंग पर्वत उंच टेकड्या व

¹⁴For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,

¹⁵उंच मनोरे आणि उंच भक्कम भिंतीप्रमाणे असले तरी देव त्यांना शिक्षा करील.

¹⁵For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,

¹⁶हे गर्विष्ठ लोक तार्शीशहून येणाऱ्या प्रचंड मालवाहू जहाजांप्रमाणे (ह्या जहाजांत महत्वाचा माल भरलेला असतो.) असले तरीसुध्दा देव त्यांना शिक्षा करील.

¹⁶For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.

¹⁷त्या वेळी गर्विष्ठांचा गर्व गळून पडेल. ते माना खाली घालतील व फक्त परमेश्वरच ताठ मानेने उभा राहील.

¹⁷The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁸सर्व मूर्ती (खोटे देव) नाहीशा होतील.

¹⁹लोक कडेकपारीच्या मागे व जमिनीच्या भेगांत लपून बसतील. लोकांना परमेश्वर व त्याचे सामर्थ्य ह्यांचे भय वाटेल. जेव्हा परमेश्वर भूकंप घडवून आणील तेव्हा हे असे घडेल.

¹⁹Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²⁰त्या वेळी लोक आपल्याजवळील सोन्याचांदीच्या मूर्ती फेकून देतील. (लोकांनी ह्या मूर्ती पूजेसाठी घडविल्या होत्या.) वटवागुळे व चिचुंद्र्या राहतात अशा बिळांत लोक त्या मूर्ती टाकून देतील.

²⁰In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

²¹मग परमेश्वराला व त्याच्या सामर्थ्याला भिऊन सर्व कडेकपारीत लपतील. हे सर्व परमेश्वराने घडवून आणलेल्या भूकंपाच्या वेळी घडून येईल.

²¹To go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²²जर तुम्हाला स्वत:चे रक्षण करायचे असेल तर तुम्ही दुसऱ्या लोकांवर विश्वास ठेवू नका. शेवटी ती माणसेच आहेत म्हणजेच मर्त्य आहेत. म्हणूनच त्यांना देवाप्रमाणे सामर्थ्यवान समजू नका.

²²Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?
