¹इस्राएल लोक मिसर देशातून निघाल्यावर दुसऱ्या वर्षाच्या दुसऱ्या महिन्याच्या पहिल्या दिवशी सीनाय रानातील दर्शनमंडपात परमेश्वर मोशेशी बोलला; तो म्हणाला,

¹ Yahweh “Yahweh” is God’s proper Name, sometimes rendered “LORD” (all caps) in other translations. spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, in the Tent of Meeting, on the first day of the second month, in the second year after they had come out of the land of Egypt, saying,

²“सर्व इस्राएल लोकांची शिरगणती कर; प्रत्येक पुरुषाचे नांव, त्याचे कूळ आणि त्याच्या वाडवडिलांचे घराणे ह्यांच्यासह त्यांच्या नावांची यादी कर.

²“Take a census of all the congregation of the children of Israel, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, every male, one by one;

³वीस वर्षाचे किंवा त्याहून अधिक वयाचे जितके पुरुष युद्धास लायक असतील त्या सर्वाची त्यांच्या दलाप्रमाणे तू आणि अहरोन मिळून गणती करा.

³from twenty years old and upward, all who are able to go out to war in Israel. You and Aaron shall number them by their divisions.

⁴प्रत्येक वंशातला एकजण तुम्हाला मदत करील तो त्या वंशाचा प्रमुख असेल.

⁴With you there shall be a man of every tribe; everyone head of his fathers’ house.

⁵तुमच्याबरोबर राहून तुम्हाला मदत करणाऱ्यांची नावे ही: रऊबेन वंशातला शदेयुराचा मुलगा अलीसूर;

⁵These are the names of the men who shall stand with you: Of Reuben: Elizur the son of Shedeur.

⁶शिमोन वंशातला सुरीशादैचा मुलगा शलूमियेल;

⁶Of Simeon: Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai.

⁷यहुदा वंशातला अम्मीनादाबाचा मुलगा नहशोन;

⁷Of Judah: Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

⁸इस्साखार वंशातला सुवाराचा मुलगा नथनेल;

⁸Of Issachar: Nethanel the son of Zuar.

⁹जबुलून वंशातला हेलोनाचा मुलगा अलीयाब;

⁹Of Zebulun: Eliab the son of Helon.

¹⁰योसेफ पुत्राच्या वंशात म्हणजे एफ्राइम वंशातला अम्मीहूदाचा मुलगा अलीशामा, आणि मनश्शे वंशातला पदाहसुराचा मुलगा गमलीयेल.

¹⁰Of the children of Joseph: Of Ephraim: Elishama the son of Ammihud. Of Manasseh: Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur.

¹¹बन्यामीन वंशातला गदोनीचा मुलगा अबीदान;

¹¹Of Benjamin: Abidan the son of Gideoni.

¹²दान वंशातला आम्मीशद्दैचा मुलगा अहीएजर;

¹²Of Dan: Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

¹³आशेर वंशातला आक्रानाचा मुलगा पागीयेल;

¹³Of Asher: Pagiel the son of Ochran.

¹⁴गाद वंशातला दगुवेलाचा मुलगा एल्यासाप;

¹⁴Of Gad: Eliasaph the son of Deuel.

¹⁵नफताली वंशातला एनानाचा मुलगा अहीरा;”

¹⁵Of Naphtali: Ahira the son of Enan.”

¹⁶1हे सर्वजण आपापल्या घराण्याचे प्रमुख होते; लोकांनीही त्यांना आपापल्या कुळाचे सरदार म्हणून निवडले.

¹⁶These are those who were called of the congregation, the princes of the tribes of their fathers; they were the heads of the thousands of Israel.

¹⁷प्रमुख म्हणून निवडलेल्या ह्या सर्वांना मोशे व अहरोन ह्यांनी आपल्याबरोबर घेतले;

¹⁷Moses and Aaron took these men who are mentioned by name.

¹⁸आणि त्यांनी सर्व इस्राएल लोकांना एकत्र जमविले; मग त्यांच्या कुळांप्रमाणे व त्यांच्या घराण्यांप्रमाणे त्यांची नोंद करण्यात आली. वीस किंवा त्यापेक्षा जास्त वय असलेल्यांची यादी करण्यात आली.

¹⁸They assembled all the congregation together on the first day of the second month; and they declared their ancestry by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, one by one.

¹⁹परमेश्वराने मोशेला आज्ञा दिली होती अगदी त्याप्रमाणे त्याने सीनाय रानात त्यांची गणती केली.

¹⁹As Yahweh commanded Moses, so he numbered them in the wilderness of Sinai.

²⁰इस्राएलाचा ज्येष्ठ पुत्र-थोरला मुलगा-रऊबेन ह्याच्या वंशाचे लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी त्यांची गणना करण्यात आली. ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्यापेक्षा अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात दाखल होण्यास लायक होते त्यांची यादी करण्यात आली; त्यांची यादी घराणी आणि कुळे ह्यांच्याप्रमाणे करण्यात आली.

²⁰The children of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²¹ती मोजदाद एकूण शेहेचाळीस हजार पाचशे भरली.

²¹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Reuben, were forty-six thousand five hundred.

²²शिमोन वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्यापेक्षा अधिक क्याचे असून सैन्यात दाखल होण्यास लायक होते त्यांची यादी करण्यात आली;

²²Of the children of Simeon, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, those who were numbered of it, according to the number of the names, one by one, every male from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²³ती मोजदाद एकूण एकुणसाठ हजार तीनशे भरली.

²³those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Simeon, were fifty-nine thousand three hundred.

²⁴गाद वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्यापेक्षा अधिक क्याचे असून सैन्यात दाखल होण्यास लायक होते त्यांची यादी करण्यात आली;

²⁴Of the children of Gad, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²⁵ती मोजदाद एकूण पंचेचाळीसहजार सहाशे पन्नास भरली.

²⁵those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Gad, were forty-five thousand six hundred fifty.

²⁶यहुदा वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्यापेक्षा अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते, त्या सर्वाची नोंद करण्यात आली;

²⁶Of the children of Judah, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²⁷ती मोजदाद एकूण चौऱ्याहत्तर हजार सहाशे भरली.

²⁷those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Judah, were sixty-four thousand six hundred.

²⁸इस्साखार वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वाची नोंद करण्यात आली;

²⁸Of the children of Issachar, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

²⁹ती मोजदाद एकूण चोपन्न हजार चारशे भरली.

²⁹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Issachar, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

³⁰जबुलून वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोद करण्यात आली;

³⁰Of the children of Zebulun, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

³¹ती मोजदाद एकूण सत्तावन्न हजार चारशे भरली.

³¹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Zebulun, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

³²योसेफ पुत्रांपैकी एफ्राइम वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली;

³²Of the children of Joseph, of the children of Ephraim, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

³³3ती मोजदाद एकूण चाळीस हजार पाचशे भरली.

³³those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Ephraim, were forty thousand five hundred.

³⁴मनश्शे वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली;

³⁴Of the children of Manasseh, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

³⁵ती मोजदाद एकूण बत्तीस हजार दोनशे भरली.

³⁵those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Manasseh, were thirty-two thousand two hundred.

³⁶बन्यामीन वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली;

³⁶Of the children of Benjamin, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war;

³⁷ती मोजदाद एकूण पस्तीस हजार चारशे भरली.

³⁷those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Benjamin, were thirty-five thousand four hundred.

³⁸दान वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली;

³⁸Of the children of Dan, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

³⁹ती मोजदाद एकूण बासष्ट हजार सातशे भरली.

³⁹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Dan, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

⁴⁰आशेर वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली;

⁴⁰Of the children of Asher, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

⁴¹ती मोजदाद एकूण एकेचाळीस हजार पाचशे भरली.

⁴¹those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Asher, were forty-one thousand five hundred.

⁴²नफताली वंशातील लोक म्हणजे त्यांची कुळे व त्यांच्या वाडवडिलांची घराणी ह्याप्रमाणे जितके पुरुष वीस वर्षाचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक होते त्या सर्वांची नोंद करण्यात आली.

⁴²Of the children of Naphtali, their generations, by their families, by their fathers’ houses, according to the number of the names, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go forth to war;

⁴³ती मोजदाद एकूण त्रेपन्न हजार चारशे भरली.

⁴³those who were numbered of them, of the tribe of Naphtali, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

⁴⁴मोशे, अहरोन आणि इस्राएलांच्या प्रत्येक घराण्यातील एक प्रमुख असे बारा नेते, ह्यांनी ही मोजदाद केली.

⁴⁴These are those who were numbered, whom Moses and Aaron numbered, and the princes of Israel, being twelve men: they were each one for his fathers’ house.

⁴⁵त्यांनी वीस वर्षांचे व त्याहून अधिक वयाचे असून सैन्यात सेवा करण्यास लायक असलेल्या प्रत्येक पुरुषाची त्याच्या वाडवडिलांच्या घराण्याप्रमाणे नोंद केली.

⁴⁵So all those who were numbered of the children of Israel by their fathers’ houses, from twenty years old and upward, all who were able to go out to war in Israel;

⁴⁶ती मोजदाद एकूण सहा लाख तीन हजार पाचशे पन्नास भरली.

⁴⁶even all those who were numbered were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

⁴⁷इस्राएल लोकांबरोबर लेवी कुळांच्या दलातील लोकांची करण्यात आली नाही.

⁴⁷But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not numbered among them.

⁴⁸परमेश्वराने मोशेला सांगितले होते की,

⁴⁸For Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

⁴⁹“लेवी कुळांच्या दलातील लोकांची गणती करु नको किंवा इतर इस्राएल लोकांच्या गणतीत त्यांचा समावेश करुं नको;

⁴⁹“Only the tribe of Levi you shall not number, neither shall you take a census of them among the children of Israel;

⁵⁰लेवी लोकांना सांग की आज्ञापटाच्या पवित्र निवास मंडपाबद्दल ते जबाबदार आहेत; पवित्र निवासमंडप व त्याबरोबर त्यातील सर्व सामानाची त्यांनी काळजी घ्यावी. पवित्रनिवास मंडप व त्यातील सर्व सामान त्यांनी वाहून न्यावे. त्यांनी आपले तंबू पवित्र निवास मंडपाभोवती ठोकावेत आणि त्याची निगा राखावी.

⁵⁰but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

⁵¹जेव्हा जेव्हा पवित्र निवास मंडप हलवावयाचा असेल तेव्हा तेव्हा तो लेवी लोकांनीच उतरावा व तो उभारताना लेवी लोकांनीच तो उभा करावा; त्याची निगा राखणे हे त्यांचेच काम आहे; लेवी कुळापैकी नसलेला कोणी जर पवित्रनिवास मंडपाच्या सेवेचा प्रयत्न करु लागलां तर त्याला जिवे मारावे.

⁵¹When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁵²इस्राएल लोकांपैकी प्रत्येकाने आपापले तंबू आपापल्या दलाप्रमाणे आपापल्या छावणीत आपापल्या कुळाच्या निशाणाजवळ ठोकावेत.

⁵²The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

⁵³परंतु लेवी लोकांनी आपले तंबू पवित्रनिवास मंडपाच्या सभोंवती ठोकावेत; त्यांनी आज्ञापट असलेल्या पवित्र निवासमंडपाचे रक्षण करावे म्हणजे इस्राएल लोकांवर संकट येणार नाही.”

⁵³But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony.”

⁵⁴परमेशवराने मोशेला आज्ञा दिल्याप्रमाणे इस्राएल लोकांनी सर्व काही केले.

⁵⁴Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that Yahweh commanded Moses, so they did.
