¹परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

²“इस्राएल लोकांबरोबर बोल आणि त्यांना सांग.” मी तुम्हाला एक प्रदेश वस्ती करण्यासाठी देत आहे. तुम्ही जेव्हा तिथे प्रवेश कराल तेव्हा

²“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you have come into the land of your habitations, which I give to you,

³तुम्ही परमेश्वराला खास होमार्पणे द्या. त्याच्या सुवासाने परमेश्वरास आनंद होईल. तुम्ही तुमच्या गायी, मेंढ्या आणि बकऱ्या यांचा उपयोग होमार्पण यज्ञ नवस स्वखुशीने द्यावयाच्या देणाग्या किंवा नेहमीच्या यज्ञातला भाग म्हणून उपयोग कराल.

³and will make an offering by fire to Yahweh, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a freewill offering, or in your set feasts, to make a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, of the herd, or of the flock;

⁴“एखादा माणूस जेव्हा त्याची अर्पणे आणतो तेव्हा त्याने परमेश्वराला धान्यसुध्दा अर्पण केले पाहिजे. हे धान्यार्पण आठ कप सपीठ 1/4 हिंनभर तेलात मिसळून केलेले असले पाहिजे.

⁴then he who offers his offering shall offer to Yahweh a meal offering of a tenth part of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of oil:

⁵प्रत्येक वेळी जेव्हा तुम्ही छोटी बकरी/कोकरु अर्पण कराल तेव्हा त्याच्याबरोबर 1/4 कप द्राक्षारस पेयार्पण केला पाहिजे.

⁵and wine for the drink offering, the fourth part of a hin, you shall prepare with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

⁶“जर तुम्ही मेंढा अर्पण करणार असाल तर त्याच्या बरोबर धान्यार्पणही केले पाहिजे. हे धान्यार्पण सोळा कप सपीठ 1/3 हिन तेलात मिसळून दिले पाहिजे.

⁶“‘Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil:

⁷आणि तुम्ही 1/4 कप द्राक्षारस पेयार्पण केला पाहिजे. त्याच्या सुवास परमेश्वराला आनंदित करेल.

⁷and for the drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

⁸“जेव्हा तुम्ही लहान बैल होमार्पण म्हणून अर्पण कराल किंवा शांत्यार्पण म्हणून द्याल किंवा परमेश्वराला दिलेले खास वचन म्हणून अर्पण कराल.

⁸When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to Yahweh;

⁹तेव्हा त्या गोऱ्ह्या बरोबर तुम्ही धान्यार्पणसुध्दा आणले पाहिजे. हे धान्यार्पण 24 कप सपीठ 2 कप तेलात मिसळलेले असले पाहिजे.

⁹then shall he offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenth parts of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil:

¹⁰त्याच्याबरोबर 2 कप 1/2 हिन द्राक्षारस पेयार्पण केला पाहिजे. हे अर्पण होमार्पण असेल त्याचा सुवास परमेश्वराला आनंदित करील.

¹⁰and you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹¹तुम्ही परमेश्वराला जो बैल, मेंढा, मेंढी किंवा बकरी यांचे अर्पण कराल ते याप्रमाणे तयार करायला पाहिजे.

¹¹Thus shall it be done for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats.

¹²तुम्ही जो प्राणी अर्पण कराल त्या प्रत्येका बरोबर हे ही अर्पण करा.

¹²According to the number that you shall prepare, so you shall do to everyone according to their number.

¹³“अशाप्रकारे इस्राएलच्या प्रत्येक नागरिकाने परमेश्वराला आनंदित करण्यासाठी होमार्पण केले पाहिजे.

¹³“‘All who are native-born shall do these things in this way, in offering an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh.

¹⁴परदेशी लोक तुमच्यातच राहतील. परमेश्वराला प्रसन्न करण्यासाठी त्यांनीही या प्रमाणेच होमार्पण केले पाहिजे.

¹⁴If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you, or whoever may be among you throughout your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to Yahweh; as you do, so he shall do.

¹⁵हेच नियम सर्वाना लागू आहेत. इस्राएलचे लोक आणि परदेशी लोक तुमच्या देशात राहतात. त्यांना हे नियम सर्वकाळ लागू राहतील. तुम्ही आणि तुमच्याबरोबर राहणारे इतर लोक परमेश्वरापुढे समान आहात.

¹⁵For the assembly, there shall be one statute for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner, a statute forever throughout your generations: as you are, so shall the foreigner be before Yahweh.

¹⁶याचा अर्थ असा की तुम्ही सारख्याच नियमाचे व विधींचे पालन केले पाहिजे. हे नियम व विधी इस्राएल लोकांसाठी आणि तुमच्यात राहणाऱ्या इतर लोकांसाठी आहेत.”

¹⁶One law and one ordinance shall be for you, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner with you.’”

¹⁷परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

¹⁷Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁸“इस्राएल लोकांना या गोष्टी सांग: मी तुम्हाला दुसऱ्या प्रदेशात नेत आहे.

¹⁸“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land where I bring you,

¹⁹जेव्हा तुम्ही तेथे पिकणारे अन्न खाल तेव्हा त्यातला थोडा भाग परमेश्वराला अर्पण करा.

¹⁹then it shall be that when you eat of the bread of the land, you shall offer up a wave offering to Yahweh.

²⁰तुम्ही धान्य गोळा करुन ते दळाल आणि त्याचे भाकरीसाठी पीठ कराल. त्या पिठाचा पहिला भाग तुम्ही नेहमी परमेश्वराला अर्पण केला पाहिजे. हे मळणीच्या वेळी धान्यार्पण करतात त्याप्रमाणे हे अर्पण केले पाहिजे.

²⁰Of the first of your dough you shall offer up a cake for a wave offering: as the wave offering of the threshing floor, so you shall heave it.

²¹हा नियम सर्वकाळ राहील. त्या पीठाचा पहिला भाग तुम्ही नेहमी परमेश्वराला अर्पण केला पाहिजे.

²¹Of the first of your dough you shall give to Yahweh a wave offering throughout your generations.

²²“जर तुम्ही काही चूक केली आणि परमेश्वराने मोशेला दिलेल्या एखाद्या आज्ञेचे पालन करायला विसरलात तर तुम्ही काय कराल?

²²“‘When you shall err, and not observe all these commandments, which Yahweh has spoken to Moses,

²³परमेश्वराने त्या आज्ञा तुम्हाला मोशे मार्फत दिल्या आहेत ज्या दिवसापासून त्या दिल्या तेव्हापासून त्या लागू आहेत. आणि त्या सदैव राहतील.

²³even all that Yahweh has commanded you by Moses, from the day that Yahweh gave commandment, and onward throughout your generations;

²⁴तेव्हा जर तुम्ही चूक केलीत आणि या आज्ञांचे पालन करायला विसरलात तर तुम्ही काय कराल? जर इस्राएलच्या सर्व लोकांनी मिळून चूक केली तर त्यानी सर्वांनी मिळून एक गोऱ्हा परमेश्वराला होमार्पण केला पाहिजे. त्याचा सुवास परमेश्वराला आनंदित करील. गोऱ्ह्याबरोबर धान्यार्पण आणि पेयार्पण करायला पाहिजे. तुम्ही पापार्पणासाठी बकराही अर्पण केला पाहिजे.

²⁴then it shall be, if it be done unwittingly, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one young bull for a burnt offering, for a pleasant aroma to Yahweh, with the meal offering of it, and the drink offering of it, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering.

²⁵“म्हणून याजकाने लोकांना शुद्ध करण्यासाठी काही गोष्टी केल्या पाहिजेत. त्याने या गोष्टी इस्राएलच्या सर्व लोकांसाठी केल्या पाहिजेत. ते पाप करीत आहेत हे लोकांना माहित नव्हते. पण जेव्हा ते त्यांना समजेल तेव्हा त्यांनी परमेश्वरासाठी भेट आणली. त्यांनी होमार्पण आणि पापार्पण आणले म्हणून लोकांना क्षमा केली जाईल.

²⁵The priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the children of Israel, and they shall be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering made by fire to Yahweh, and their sin offering before Yahweh, for their error:

²⁶इस्राएलाच्या सर्व लोकांना आणि त्यांच्यात राहणाऱ्या इतर लोकांना क्षमा केली जाईल. त्यांना क्षमा करण्यात येईल. कारण आपण चूक करीत आहोत हे त्यांना माहीत नव्हते.

²⁶and all the congregation of the children of Israel shall be forgiven, and the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them; for in respect of all the people it was done unwittingly.

²⁷“पण जर फकत एकाच माणसाने चूक केली तर त्याने एक वर्ष वयाची बकरी आणली पाहिजे. ती बकरी पापासाठी अर्पण केली जाईल.

²⁷“‘If one person sins unwittingly, then he shall offer a female goat a year old for a sin offering.

²⁸याजक त्या माणसाला शुद्ध करण्यासाठी काही गोष्टी करील. त्या माणसाने चूक केली आणि परमेश्वरापुढे पाप केले. पण याजकाने त्याला शुद्ध केले तर त्याला क्षमा केली जाईल.

²⁸The priest shall make atonement for the soul who errs, when he sins unwittingly, before Yahweh, to make atonement for him; and he shall be forgiven.

²⁹जो माणूस चूक करतो आणि पाप करतो त्याच्यासाठी हा नियम आहे. इस्राएलच्या कुटुंबात जन्मलेल्या लोकांसाठी व तुमच्या घरात राहणाऱ्या परदेशी लोकांसाठी सारखेच नियम आहेत.

²⁹You shall have one law for him who does anything unwittingly, for him who is native-born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger who lives as a foreigner among them.

³⁰पण जर एखाद्याने पाप केले आणि आपण चूक करीत आहो हे त्याला कळत असले, तर तो माणूस परमेश्वराविरुद्ध आहे. त्या माणसाला त्याच्या लोकांपासून वेगळे काढून टाकले पाहिजे. इस्राएलाच्या वंशात जन्मलेल्या माणसासाठी किंवा तुमच्यात राहणाऱ्या परदेशी माणसासाठी सारखाच नियम आहे.

³⁰“‘But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, the same blasphemes Yahweh; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

³¹परमेश्वराचा शब्द महत्वाचा आहे असा विचार त्या माणसाने केला नाही आणि त्याने परमेश्वराची आज्ञा मोडली. तर त्या माणसाला तुमच्या समूहापासून वेगळे केलेच पाहिजे. तो माणूस अपराधी आहे आणि त्याला शिक्षा झालीच पाहिजे.”

³¹Because he has despised the word of Yahweh, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.’”

³²या वेळी इस्राएल लोक अजून वाळवंटात रहात होते. एका माणसाला जळणासाठी लाकूड सापडले म्हणून तो ते गोळा करीत होता. परंतु तो शब्बाथचा दिवस होता. इतरांनी त्याला ते करताना पाहिले.

³²While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

³³ज्या लोकांनी त्याला लाकडे गोळा करताना पाहिले त्यांनी त्याला मोशे व अहरोनाकडे आणले आणि सर्व लोक भोवती गोळा झाले.

³³Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.

³⁴त्यांनी त्या माणसाला तिथेच ठेवले कारण त्याला काय शिक्षा द्यायची ते त्यांना माहीत नव्हते.

³⁴They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

³⁵नंतर परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला, “तो माणूस मेला पाहिजे. तेव्हा सर्व लोकांनी त्याच्यावर छावणीबाहेर दगडमार करावा.”

³⁵Yahweh said to Moses, “The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp.”

³⁶म्हणून लोक त्याला छावणीबाहेर घेऊन गेले आणि त्याला दगडमार करुन मारले. परमेश्वराने मोशेला आज्ञा केली त्याप्रमाणे त्यांनी हे केले.

³⁶All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³⁷परमेश्वर मोशेला म्हणाला,

³⁷Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

³⁸“इस्राएल लोकांशी बोल. त्यांना या गोष्टी सांग: माझ्या आज्ञा तुमच्या लक्षात राहाण्यासाठी मी तुम्हाला काहीतरी देईन. दोऱ्याचे खूपसे तुकडे एकत्र बांधा आणि ते तुमच्या कपड्याच्या एका टोकाला बांधून ठेवा. त्या प्रत्येक गोंड्याला एक निळा दोरा बांधा. या गोष्टी तुम्ही नेहमी अंगावर बाळगा.

³⁸“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them that they should make themselves fringes or, tassels (Hebrew tzitzit) in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe or, tassel of each border a cord of blue:

³⁹तुम्ही या गोंड्याकडे बघून परमेश्वराने दिलेल्या सगव्व्या आज्ञा लक्षात ठेवू शकाल. म्हणजे तुम्ही आज्ञा पाळाल. तुम्ही आज्ञा विसरुन काहीही चूक करणार नाही आणि तुमच्या शरीराला व डोव्व्यांना हव्या असलेल्या गोष्टी करणार नाही.

³⁹and it shall be to you for a fringe or, tassel , that you may look on it, and remember all the commandments of Yahweh, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute;

⁴⁰माझ्या सगव्व्या आज्ञा पाळायच्या आहेत हे तुम्ही लक्षात ठेवाल. म्हणजे तुम्ही परमेश्वराचे खास लोक व्हाल.

⁴⁰that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.

⁴¹मी तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे. तुम्हाला मिसर देशातून आणणारा मीच आहे. तुमचा देव होण्यासाठी मी हे केले. मीच तुमचा देव परमेश्वर आहे.”

⁴¹I am Yahweh your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am Yahweh your God.”
