¹Paul and Timothy, servants of Jesus Christ; To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers or, superintendents, or bishops and servants Or, deacons :

²देव आपला पिता आणि आपला प्रभु येशू ख्रिस्त याजपासून तुम्हांस कृपा असो.

²Grace to you, and peace from God, our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.

³प्रत्येक वेळी जेव्हा मी तुमची आठवण करतो, तेव्हा देवाचे आभार मानतो.

³I thank my God whenever I remember you,

⁴नेहमीच तुमच्यासाठी केलेल्या प्रत्येक प्रार्थनेच्यावेळी मी आनंदाने प्रार्थना करतो.

⁴always in every request of mine on behalf of you all making my requests with joy,

⁵कारण अगदी पहिल्या दिवसांपासून ते आजपर्यंत सुवार्तेच्या कामात तुमचा सहभाग आहे.

⁵for your partnership The word translated “partnership” (koinonia) also means “fellowship” and “sharing.” in furtherance of the Good News from the first day until now;

⁶मला याची खात्री आहे की, ज्या देवाने तुमच्यामध्ये अशा प्रकारचे चांगले कार्य सुरु केले आहे, तो ख्रिस्त येशू येण्याच्या वेळेपर्यंत ते पूर्ण करीत आणीला.

⁶being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.

⁷तुम्हा सर्वाविषयी असा विचार करणे मला योग्य वाटते कारण तुम्ही माझ्या हृदयात आहात. आणि मी तुरुंगात असतानाच केवळ नव्हे तर जेव्हा मी सुवार्तेचे सत्य ठासून सिद्ध करीत होतो, तेव्हा ही देवाने जी कृपा मला दिली आहे त्यात तुम्हीसुद्धा माझ्याबरोबर वाटेकरी होता.

⁷It is even right for me to think this way on behalf of all of you, because I have you in my heart, because, both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the Good News, you all are partakers with me of grace.

⁸For God is my witness, how I long after all of you in the tender mercies of Christ Jesus.

⁹आणि माझी हीच प्रार्थना आहे: की तुमचे प्रेम अधिकाधिक वाढत जाईल पूर्ण ज्ञान व सर्व प्रकारच्या समजबुद्धीने वाढत जाईल.

⁹This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment;

¹⁰मी अशी प्रार्थना करतो की, तुमच्याठायी हे गुण असावेत, यासाठी की जे शुद्ध व निर्दोष ते तुम्ही निवडावे, आणि अशा प्रकारे ख्रिस्ताच्या येण्याच्या दिवासासाठी तुम्ही शुद्ध व निर्दोष असावे,

¹⁰so that you may approve the things that are excellent; that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ;

¹¹आणि देवाच्या गौरवासाठी, स्तुति साठी आणि नीतिमत्त्वाचे फळ देण्यासाठी भरुन जावे.

¹¹being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

¹²Now I desire to have you know, brothers, The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” that the things which happened to me have turned out rather to the progress of the Good News;

¹³याचा परिणाम असा झाला की, राजवाड्याच्या सर्व पहारेकऱ्यांना व येथे असणाऱ्या सर्वांना हे माहीत झाले की, मी ख्रिस्ताला अनुसरतो म्हणून मला तुरुंगवास भोगावा लागत आहे.

¹³so that it became evident to the whole palace or, praetorian guard, and to all the rest, that my bonds are in Christ;

¹⁴शिवाय, पुष्कळशा बांधवांना माझ्या तुरुंगवासामुळे उत्तेजन मिळाले. व ते बोलण्यात ख्रिस्तामध्ये अधिकाधिक धीट होत चालले आहेत व न भिता संदेश देत आहेत.

¹⁴and that most of the brothers in the Lord, being confident through my bonds, are more abundantly bold to speak the word of God without fear.

¹⁵हे खरे आहे की त्याच्यातील काही जण हेव्याने व वैरभावने ख्रिस्ताचा संदेश देतात, पण इतर चांगल्या भावनेने ख्रिस्ताचा संदेश देतात.

¹⁵Some indeed preach Christ even out of envy and strife, and some also out of good will.

¹⁶हे लोक प्रेमापोटी असे करतात, कारण त्यांना माहीत आहे की, सुवार्तेचे समर्यन करण्यासाठी देवाने मला येथे ठेवले आहे.

¹⁶The former insincerely preach Christ from selfish ambition, thinking that they add affliction to my chains;

¹⁷पण दुसरे ख्रिस्ताची घोषणा स्वार्थी ध्येयाने करतात आणि प्रामाणिकपणे करीत नाहीत, कारण त्यांना वाटते की, मी तुरुंगात असताना मला त्रास देणे त्यांना शक्य होईल.

¹⁷but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the Good News.

¹⁸What does it matter? Only that in every way, whether in pretense or in truth, Christ is proclaimed. I rejoice in this, yes, and will rejoice.

¹⁹For I know that this will turn out to my salvation, through your supplication and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,

²⁰हे माझ्या उत्सुक अपेक्षेप्रमाणे व आशेप्रमाणे आहे, कारण मला खात्री आहे, की, माझी निराशा होणार नाही, पण आता नेहमीसारखे माझ्या सर्व धैर्याने माझ्या जगण्याने किंवा मरण्याने ख्रिस्ताचा माझ्या शरीराद्वारे महिमा होईल.

²⁰according to my earnest expectation and hope, that I will in no way be disappointed, but with all boldness, as always, now also Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

²¹कारण माझ्यासाठी जगणे म्हणजे ख्रिस्त आणि मरणे म्हणजे लाभ आहे.

²¹For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

²²पण जर मी या शरीरातच राहिलो तर त्याचा अर्थ असा की, माझ्या कामाचे फळ, आनंद मी अनुभवीन. मला माहीत नाही की मी काय निवडीन.

²²But if I live on in the flesh, this will bring fruit from my work; yet I don’t know what I will choose.

²³या दोन पर्यायातून निवडण्यासाठी माझ्यावर मोठा दबाव आहे. माझी अशी इच्छा आहे की, या जीवनातून जाऊन ख्रिस्ताबरोबर असावे कारण ते फार फार चांगले होईल.

²³But I am in a dilemma between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.

²⁴पण तुमच्यासाठी या शरीरात राहणे हे माझ्यासाठी अधिक आवश्यक आहे.

²⁴Yet, to remain in the flesh is more needful for your sake.

²⁵आणि मला याची खात्री असल्याने मला माहीत आहे की मी येथेच राहीन व तुमच्याबरोबर असेन.

²⁵Having this confidence, I know that I will remain, yes, and remain with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith,

²⁶यासाठी की तुमच्याबरोबर पुन्हा असण्याचा परिणाम म्हणून तुम्हांला अभिमान बाळगण्यास अधिक योग्य कारण मिळेल.

²⁶that your rejoicing may abound in Christ Jesus in me through my presence with you again.

²⁷Only let your way of life be worthy of the Good News of Christ, that, whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your state, that you stand firm in one spirit, with one soul striving for the faith of the Good News;

²⁸and in nothing frightened by the adversaries, which is for them a proof of destruction, but to you of salvation, and that from God.

²⁹Because it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer on his behalf,

³⁰माझ्यामध्ये चाललेले युंद्ध तुम्ही अनुभवलेले आहे आणि पाहिले आहे आताही ते माझ्यामध्ये चालले असल्याचे तुम्ही ऐकत आहात.

³⁰having the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear is in me.
