¹တဖန်ဒါဝိဒ်က၊ ငါသည် ယောနသန်အတွက် ကျေးဇူးပြုစရာ အခွင့်ရှိစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ရှောလုအဆွေအမျိုး တစုံတယောက် ကျန်ကြွင်းသေးသလောဟု မေးသော်၊

¹David said, “Is there yet any who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?”

²ဇိဘအမည်ရှိသော ရှောလု၏ အဆွေအမျိုးနှင့်ဆိုင်သော ကျွန်တယောက်ကို အထံတော်သို့သွင်း၍ ရှင်ဘုရင်က၊ သင်သည် ဇိဘမှန်သလောဟုမေးလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်မှန်ပါသည်ဟု ပြန်လျှောက်လေ၏။

²There was of the house of Saul a servant whose name was Ziba, and they called him to David; and the king said to him, “Are you Ziba?” He said, “Your servant is he.”

³ရှင်ဘုရင်ကလည်း၊ ဘုရားသခင့်အလိုတော်အတိုင်း ငါကျေးဇူးပြုစရာ အခွင့်ရှိစေခြင်းငှါ၊ ရှောလုအဆွေအမျိုးတစုံ တယောက်မျှမရှိသလောဟု မေးလျှင် ဇိဘက၊ ယောနသန်၌ ခြေဆွံ့သောသားတယောက် ရှိပါသေး၏ဟု လျှောက်သော်၊

³The king said, “Is there not yet any of the house of Saul, that I may show the kindness of God to him?” Ziba said to the king, “Jonathan has yet a son, who is lame of his feet.”

⁴ရှင်ဘုရင်က၊ သူသည်အဘယ်မှာရှိသနည်းဟု မေးပြန်လျှင်၊ ဇိဘက၊ လောဒေဗာရွာ၊ အမျေလသား မာခိရအိမ်၌ ရှိပါသည်ဟု လျှောက်၏။

⁴The king said to him, “Where is he?” Ziba said to the king, “Behold, he is in the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, in Lo Debar.”

⁵ထိုအခါ ဒါဝိဒ်သည် စေလွှတ်၍ ရှောလု၏သားဖြစ်သော ယောနသန်၏သား မေဖိဗောရှက်ကို၊ လောဒေဗာရွာ၊ အမျေလသားမာခိရ အိမ်မှခေါ်ခဲ့၍၊

⁵Then king David sent, and fetched him out of the house of Machir the son of Ammiel, from Lo Debar.

⁶သူသည် အထံတော်သို့ ရောက်သောအခါ ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက် ရှိခိုးလေ၏။ ဒါဝိဒ်ကလည်း၊ မေဖိဗောရှက်ဟုခေါ်လျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ရှိပါသည်ဟုလျှောက်လေ၏။

⁶Mephibosheth, the son of Jonathan, the son of Saul, came to David, and fell on his face, and showed respect. David said, “Mephibosheth.” He answered, “Behold, your servant!”

⁷ဒါဝိဒ်ကလည်း မစိုးရိမ်နှင့်။ သင်၏အဘ ယောနသန်အတွက် ငါသည်သင်၌ ဆက်ဆက်ကျေးဇူးပြုမည်။ သင့်အဘို့ရှောလုပိုင်သမျှသော မြေကို ငါပြန်ပေးမည်။ သင်သည် နေ့တိုင်းအစဉ်ငါ့စားပွဲ၌ စားရမည်ဟုဆိုသော်၊

⁷David said to him, “Don’t be afraid of him; for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your father. You shall eat bread at my table continually.”

⁸မေဖိဗောရှက်က၊ ကျွန်တော်ကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ရသော ခွေးသေကောင်ကို ကိုယ်တော်ကြည့်ရှုရမည်အကြောင်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်သည် အဘယ်သို့သောသူဖြစ်ပါသနည်း ဟု ဦးချ၍ပြန်လျှောက်၏။

⁸He bowed down, and said, “What is your servant, that you should look on such a dead dog as I am?”

⁹ထိုအခါရှင်ဘုရင်သည် ရှောလု၏ကျွန်ဇိဘကို ခေါ်၍၊ ရှောလုနှင့် သူ၏အဆွေအမျိုးများ ပိုင်ထိုက်သမျှ တို့ကို သင့်သခင်၏သားအား ငါပေးပြီ။

⁹Then the king called to Ziba, Saul’s servant, and said to him, “All that pertained to Saul and to all his house have I given to your master’s son.

¹⁰သင်သည်သင်၏သားကျွန်တို့နှင့်တကွ လယ်လုပ်၍ သင့်သခင်၏သားစားစရာဘို့ အသီးအနှံကို သွင်းရမည်။ သို့ရာတွင် သင့်သခင်၏သား မေဖိဗောရှက်သည် နေ့တိုင်းအစဉ် ငါ့စားပွဲ၌ အစာစားရမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ ဇိဘ၌ သားတဆယ်ငါးယောက်နှင့် ကျွန်နှစ်ဆယ်ရှိ၏။

¹⁰You shall till the land for him, you, and your sons, and your servants; and you shall bring in the harvest, that your master’s son may have bread to eat: but Mephibosheth your master’s son shall eat bread always at my table.” Now Ziba had fifteen sons and twenty servants.

¹¹ဇိဘကလည်း၊ ကျွန်တော်သခင်အရှင်မင်းကြီးသည် ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ကို မှာထားတော်မူသမျှအတိုင်း၊ ကိုယ်တော်ကျွန်ပြုပါမည်ဟု နားတော်လျှောက်၏။ ထိုနောက်၊ မေဖိဗောရှက်သည် ရှင်ဘုရင်၏သားရင်းကဲ့သို့ စားပွဲတော်၌ အစာစားရ၏။

¹¹Then Ziba said to the king, “According to all that my lord the king commands his servant, so your shall servant do.” So Mephibosheth ate at the king’s table, like one of the king’s sons.

¹²မေဖိဗောရှက်၌ မိက္ခာအမည်ရှိသော သားငယ်တယောက်ရှိ၏။ ဇိဘအိမ်၌ နေသောသူအပေါင်း တို့သည်လည်း မေဖိဗောရှက်၏ ကျွန်ဖြစ်ကြ၏။

¹²Mephibosheth had a young son, whose name was Mica. All that lived in the house of Ziba were servants to Mephibosheth.

¹³ထိုသို့ မေဖိဗောရှက်သည် ယေရုရှလင်မြို့၌နေ၍ ရှင်ဘုရင်၏စားပွဲတော်၌ နေ့တိုင်းအစဉ်စားရ၏။ ခြေနှစ်ဘက်ဆွံ့သောသူဖြစ်၏။

¹³So Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem; for he ate continually at the king’s table. He was lame in both his feet.
