¹ထိုနောက် ငါးရက်လွန်သောအခါ၊ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မင်း အာနနိသည် တေရတုလုအမည်ရှိသော ရှေ့နေမှစ၍၊ လူအကြီးအကဲတို့နှင့်တကွ ကဲသရိမြို့သို့ သွားကြသဖြင့်၊ ပေါလု၏အကြောင်းကို မြို့ဝန်မင်းထံ၌ လျှောက်ထားကြ၏။

¹After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.

²ပေါလုကိုခေါ်ပြီးမှ၊ တေရတုလုသည် အပြစ်တင်သော စကားကိုလျှောက်ဆိုသည်မှာ၊ မြတ်တော်မူ သောဖေလဇ်မင်း၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ဘုန်းတော်ကို ခိုလှုံ၍ အလွန်ငြိမ်သက်စွာ နေရသဖြင့်၊ ကိုယ်တော် ကြည့်ရှု ပြုစုတော်မူခြင်း ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို ဤလူမျိုးသည် ခံရပါ သည်ဖြစ်၍၊

²When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that excellent measures are coming to this nation,

³အရပ်ရပ်တို့၌ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် အစဉ်မပြတ် ကျေးဇူးတော်ကို အလွန်သိတတ်သော စိတ်နှင့်ခံရပါ၏။

³we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.

⁴အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုယ်တော်ကိုကြာမြင့်စွာ နှောင့်ရှက်ခြင်း အပြစ်နှင့်လွတ်ခြင်းငှါ၊ အကျဉ်းအားဖြင့် လျှောက်သောစကားကို ဖြည်းညှင်းသောစိတ်တော်နှင့် နားထောင်တော်မူမည်အကြောင်း အသနားတော်ခံပါ၏။

⁴But, that I don’t delay you, I entreat you to bear with us and hear a few words.

⁵နာဇရက်ဘာသာဝင်သူတို့တွင် အကြီးလုပ်၍ အရပ်ရပ်တို့၌ ယုဒလူအပေါင်းတို့ကို ထစေခြင်းငှါ နှိုးဆော်သော ဤလူဆိုးကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် တွေ့ကြပါပြီ။

⁵For we have found this man to be a plague, an instigator of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

⁶သူသည် ဗိမာန်တော်ကို ရှုတ်ချခြင်းငှါပြုပါပြီ။ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် သူ့ကိုဘမ်းဆီး၍၊ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ တရား အတိုင်းစီရင်ခြင်းငှါ အလိုရှိကြသည်တွင်၊

⁶He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him. TR adds “We wanted to judge him according to our law,”

⁷စစ်သူကြီးလုသိသည် စစ်သူရဲများနှင့်လာ၍ အကျွန်ုပ်တို့ လက်မှနှုတ်ပြီးလျှင်၊

⁷ TR adds “but the commanding officer, Lysias, came by and with great violence took him out of our hands,”

⁸ TR adds “commanding his accusers to come to you.” By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him.”

⁹ယုဒလူတို့ကလည်း၊ ဤစကားမှန်ပါသည်ဟု ဝန်ခံကြ၏။

⁹The Jews also joined in the attack, affirming that these things were so.

¹⁰မြို့ဝန်မင်းသည် အမှတ်ပေး၍၊ ပေါလုသည် လျှောက်ရသော အခွင့်ကိုရလျှင်၊ ကိုယ်တော်သည် ဤလူမျိုးကို တာရှည်စွာအုပ်စိုးတော်မူသည်ကို အကျွန်ုပ် သိ၍၊ သာယာသောစိတ်နှင့်ကိုယ်အပြစ်ဖြေရာ စကားကို လျှောက်ဝံ့ပါ၏။

¹⁰When the governor had beckoned to him to speak, Paul answered, “Because I know that you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I cheerfully make my defense,

¹¹အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကိုးကွယ်ခြင်းငှါ ယေရုရှလင်မြို့ သို့ တက်သွား၍၊ ယခု တဆယ်နှစ်ရက်သာရှိသည်ကို ကိုယ်တော်သိနိုင်တော်မူ၏။

¹¹seeing that you can recognize that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.

¹²ဗိမာန်တော်၌ တစုံတယောက်သောသူနှင့် အကျွန်ုပ် ဆွေးနွေးငြင်းခုံသည်ကို သူတို့မတွေ့ကြပါ။ တရားစရပ်တို့၌၎င်း၊ မြို့ထဲ၌၎င်း၊ လူများကို မငြိမ်မသက် စေခြင်းငှါ အကျွန်ုပ်နှိုးဆော်သည်ကို သူတို့မတွေ့ကြပါ။

¹²In the temple they didn’t find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues, or in the city.

¹³ယခုတွင်အကျွန်ုပ်ကို အပြစ်တင်သောအမှု၌ သက်သေမပြနိုင် ကြပါ။

¹³Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.

¹⁴သို့သော်လည်း ဒိဌိအယူဟူ၍ သူတို့ခေါ်တတ် သော ဘာသာအတိုင်းအကျွန်ုပ်သည် မိစဉ်ဘဆက် ကိုးကွယ်သော ဘုရားသခင်ကို ကိုးကွယ်သည်ဟု ရှေ့တော်၌ အကျွန်ုပ်ဝန်ခံပါ၏။ ပညတ္တိကျမ်း၊ အနာဂတ္တိ ကျမ်းတို့၌ စီရင်ရေးထားသမျှတို့ကို အကျွန်ုပ်ယုံပါ၏။

¹⁴But this I confess to you, that after the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;

¹⁵ဖြောင့်မတ်သောသူ၊ မဖြောင့်မတ်သော သူရှိ သမျှတို့သည် သေခြင်းမှ ထမြောက်ကြလိမ့်မည်ဟူ၍၊ သူကို့မြော်လင့်သည်နည်းတူ၊ အကျွန်ုပ်လည်း ဘုရား သခင်ကို အမှီပြု၍ မြော်လင့်ပါ၏။

¹⁵having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

¹⁶ထိုကြောင့်၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကိုပြစ်မှားပြီ၊ လူတို့ကို ပြစ်မှားပြီဟု ကိုယ်စိတ်နှလုံးသည်ကိုယ်၌ အပြစ်တင်ခွင့် နှင့် အစဉ်ကင်းလွတ်မည်အကြောင်း အကျွန်ုပ်သည် ကြိုးစားအားထုတ်ပါ၏။

¹⁶Herein I also practice always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.

¹⁷နှစ်ပေါင်းများစွာလွန်သောအခါ၊ အမျိုးသား ချင်းတို့အား စွန့်ကြဲပေးကမ်းခြင်းအမှု၊ ဘုရားသခင်အား ပူဇော်သက္ကာပြုခြင်းအမှုနှင့် အကျွန်ုပ်ရောက်လာသည် တွင်၊

¹⁷Now after some years, I came to bring gifts for the needy to my nation, and offerings;

¹⁸ဗိမာန်တော်၌ လူအစုအဝေးမရှိ၊ ရုန်းရင်းခတ် မျှမပြုဘဲ၊ စင်ကြယ်ခြင်းကိုပြုလျက်ရှိသည်ကို၊ အာရှိ ပြည်ကလာသောယုဒလူ အချို့တို့သည် တွေ့ကြပါ၏။

¹⁸amid which certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, not with a mob, nor with turmoil.

¹⁹ထိုသူတို့သည် အကျွန်ုပ်အပြစ်တင်စရာရှိလျှင်၊ အထံတော် သို့ကိုယ်တိုင်လာ၍အပြစ်တင်အပ်ပါ၏။

¹⁹They ought to have been here before you, and to make accusation, if they had anything against me.

²⁰သို့မဟုတ်အကျွန်ုပ်သည် လွှတ်အရာရှိတို့ ရှေ့မှာ ရှိသောအခါ၊ သေသောသူတို့သည် ထမြောက်ခြင်း အကြောင်းနှင့်၊

²⁰Or else let these men themselves say what injustice they found in me when I stood before the council,

²¹အကျွန်ုပ်သည် သင်တို့ရှေ့၌ ယနေ့စစ်ကြော စီရင်ခြင်းကို ခံရ၏ဟုကြွေးကြော်သော စကားသံ တခွန်း ကိုထားလျှင်၊ အကျွန်ုပ်၌ အဘယ်အပြစ်ကို တွေ့ကြသည် ကို ယခုရှိသော ဤသူတို့သည် ပြောကြပါစေဟု ပေါလု လျှောက်၏။

²¹unless it is for this one thing that I cried standing among them, ‘Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged before you today!’”

²²ဖေလဇ်မင်းကလည်း၊ စစ်သူကြီးလုသိ ရောက်လာသောအခါ၊ သင်တို့အမှုကို ငါစစ်ဦးမည်ဟု ထိုဘာသာကိုသာ၍ နားလည်သောသူဖြစ်လျက်၊ မစီရင် ဘဲ သူတို့ကို လွှတ်လိုက်၏။

²²But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, “When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case.”

²³ပေါလုကို အကျဉ်းမထားဘဲစောင့်၍နေစေ။ သူ၏အဆွေအမျိုးတို့သည် သူ့ထံသို့လာ၍ လုပ်ကျွေး ကြစေဟု တပ်မှူးကိုမှာထား၏။

²³He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody, and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.

²⁴ထိုနောက်များမကြာ၊ ဖေလဇ်မင်းသည် ယုဒ အမျိုးဖြစ်သော မိမိခင်ပွန်းဒြုသိလေနှင့် တကွလာပြီး လျှင်၊ ပေါလုကိုခေါ်၍ ခရစ်တော်ကို ယုံကြည်ခြင်းနှင့်ယှဉ် သော စကားကို နားထောင်လေ၏။

²⁴But after some days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.

²⁵ပေါလုသည် ဖြောင့်မတ်ခြင်းတရားနှင့် ကာမဂုဏ်ချုပ်တည်းခြင်း တရားကို၎င်း၊ နောက်ဖြစ်လတံ့သော စစ်ကြောစီရင်ခြင်းကို၎င်း ဟောပြောလျှင်၊ ဖေလဇ်မင်းသည် ကြောက်လန့်ခြင်းသို့ရောက်၍၊ ယခုသွားဦးလော့။ နောက်မှအဆင်သင့်သောအခါ ငါခေါ်ဦးမည်ဟု ဆို၏။

²⁵As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”

²⁶ပေါလုသည် မိမိလွတ်ရအောင် ငွေပေးမည်ဟု ထိုမင်းသည်ထင်မှတ်လျက်၊ မကြာမကြာပေါလုကို ခေါ်၍ သူနှင့်စကားပြောလေ၏။

²⁶Meanwhile, he also hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore also he sent for him more often, and talked with him.

²⁷နှစ်နှစ်စေ့သောအခါ ပေါကိဖေတ္တုသည် ဖေလဇ်မင်း၏အရာကို ရသဖြင့်၊ ဖေလဇ်မင်းသည် ယုဒ လူတို့အား ကျေးဇူးပြုလိုသောစိတ်နှင့် ပေါလုကို အကျဉ်းထားရစ်စေ၏။

²⁷But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
