1ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့သည် အဲဂုတ္တုပြည်မှ ထွက်သွားသောနောက်၊ တတိယလ တရက်နေ့၌ သိနာတောသို့ ရောက်ကြ၏။
1In the third month after the children of Israel had gone out of the land of Egypt, on that same day they came into the wilderness of Sinai.
2ရေဖိဒိမ်အရပ်က ထွက်သွားပြီးမှ သိနာတောသို့ ရောက်၍၊ ထိုတော၌ တောင်ရှေ့မှာ တပ်ချကြ၏။
2When they had departed from Rephidim, and had come to the wilderness of Sinai, they encamped in the wilderness; and there Israel encamped before the mountain.
3မောရှေသည် ဘုရားသခင့်ထံတော်သို့ တက်သွားလျှင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် တောင်ပေါ်က ခေါ်တော်မူ၍၊ သင်သည် ယာကုပ်အမျိုး၊ ဣသရေလသားတို့အား ပြန်ပြောရသော အမိန့်တော်ဟူမူကား၊
3Moses went up to God, and Yahweh called to him out of the mountain, saying, “This is what you shall tell the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel:
4ငါသည် အဲဂုတ္တုလူတို့၌ ပြုသောအကြောင်း၊ သင်တို့ကို ရွှေလင်းတအတောင်ဖြင့် ထမ်း၍ ကိုယ်ဘို့ သိမ်းယူသောအကြောင်းကို သင်တို့သည် သိမြင်ရကြပြီ။
4‘You have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to myself.
5ထိုကြောင့် ယခုတွင် သင်တို့သည် ငါ့စကားကို အမှန်နားထောင်၍ ငါ့ပဋိညာဉ်ကို စောင့်ရှောက်လျှင် အခြားသောလူမျိုးတကာတို့ထက် သင်တို့သည် ငါပိုင်ထိုက်သော ဘဏ္ဍာတော်ဖြစ်ရကြလိမ့်မည်။ မြေကြီးရှိသမျှ သည် ငါ၏ဥစ္စာဖြစ်၏။
5Now therefore, if you will indeed obey my voice, and keep my covenant, then you shall be my own possession from among all peoples; for all the earth is mine;
6သင်တို့သည်လည်း မင်းစည်းစိမ်ရှိသော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်မျိုး၊ သန့်ရှင်းသောလူမျိုး ဖြစ်ရကြလိမ့်မည် ဟူသော အမိန့်တော်ကို ဣသရေလအမျိုးသားတို့အား ဆင့်ဆိုလော့ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
6and you shall be to me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation.’ These are the words which you shall speak to the children of Israel.”
7မောရှေသည် ပြန်လာ၍ လူတို့တွင် အသက်ကြီးသူတို့ကို ခေါ်ပြီးလျှင်၊ ထာဝရဘုရားမှာထားတော်မူ သော စကားအလုံးစုံတို့ကို ပြန်ပြောလေ၏။
7Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and set before them all these words which Yahweh commanded him.
8လူအပေါင်းတို့ကလည်း ထာဝရဘုရားမိန့်တော်မူသမျှတို့ကို အကျွန်ုပ်တို့သည် ပြုပါမည်ဟု တညီ တညွတ်တည်း ပြန်ပြောကြ၏။ မောရှေသည်လည်း သူတို့၏စကားကို ထာဝရဘုရားအား ပြန်လျှောက်လေ၏။
8All the people answered together, and said, “All that Yahweh has spoken we will do.” Moses reported the words of the people to Yahweh.
9ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း ကြည့်ရှုလော့။ သင်နှင့်ငါပြောသောအခါ လူများတို့သည် ကြား၍ အစဉ်အမြဲ သင့်ကို ယုံမည်အကြောင်း၊ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တိုက်၌ သင့်ဆီသို့ ငါလာမည်ဟု မောရှေအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။ မောရှေသည်လည်း ထာဝရဘုရား၏ စကားတော်ကို လူများတို့အား ပြန်ပြောလေ၏။
9Yahweh said to Moses, “Behold, I come to you in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with you, and may also believe you forever.” Moses told the words of the people to Yahweh.
10ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း လူတို့ရှိရာသို့ သွား၍၊ ယနေ့နှင့်နက်ဖြန်၌ သူတို့ကို သန့်ရှင်းစေလော့။ သူတို့အဝတ်ကို လျှော်စေ၍၊
10Yahweh said to Moses, “Go to the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their garments,
11သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ အသင့်ရှိနေစေလော့။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် လူအပေါင်းတို့ရှေ့၊သိနာတောင်ပေါ်သို့ ဆင်းသက်တော်မူမည်။
11and be ready against the third day; for on the third day Yahweh will come down in the sight of all the people on Mount Sinai.
12လူတို့မကျော်ရသော အဆီးအကာတို့ကို တောင်ပတ်လည်၌ စီရင်၍၊ သင်တို့သည် တောင်ပေါ်သို့ မတက်၊ တောင်ခြေရင်းကို မထိရအောင် သတိပြုကြဟု ပြောလော့။ တောင်ကို ထိမိသောသူမည်သည်ကား၊ ဧကန်အမှန် အသေခံစေ။
12You shall set bounds to the people all around, saying, ‘Be careful that you don’t go up onto the mountain, or touch its border. Whoever touches the mountain shall be surely put to death.
13ထိုသူကို လက်နှင့်မထိရ။ အကယ်စင်စစ် ကျောက်ခဲနှင့်ပစ်ရမည်။ သို့မဟုတ် လှံနှင့်ထိုးရမည်။ လူဖြစ်စေ၊ တိရစ္ဆာန်ဖြစ်စေ၊ အသက်မရှင်ရ။ တံပိုးသည် ကြာကြာမြည်သောအခါ၊ လူများတို့သည် တောင်သို့လာရ ကြမည်ဟု မောရှေအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
13No hand shall touch him, but he shall surely be stoned or shot through; whether it is animal or man, he shall not live.’ When the trumpet sounds long, they shall come up to the mountain.”
14မောရှေသည် တောင်ပေါ်မှ လူတို့ရှိရာသို့ ဆင်းသက်၍၊ သူတို့ကို သန့်ရှင်းစေ၏။ သူတို့သည် မိမိအဝတ်များကို လျှော်ကြ၏။
14Moses went down from the mountain to the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes.
15မောရှေကလည်း၊ သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၌ အသင့်ရှိစေကြလော့။ မယားကို မချဉ်းကြနှင့်ဟု လူတို့အား ဆိုလေ၏။
15He said to the people, “Be ready by the third day. Don’t have sexual relations with a woman.”
16သုံးရက်မြောက်သောနေ့၊ နံနက်အချိန်၌ တောင်ပေါ်မှာ မိုဃ်းချုန်းခြင်း၊ လျပ်ပြက်ခြင်းနှင့်တကွ မိုဃ်းတိမ်တိုက်လွှမ်းမိုး၍ ကြီးသောအသံနှင့် တံပိုးမြည်သဖြင့်၊ တပ်၌ရှိသောလူအပေါင်းတို့သည် တုန်လှုပ်ကြ၏။
16It happened on the third day, when it was morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud on the mountain, and the sound of an exceedingly loud trumpet; and all the people who were in the camp trembled.
17မောရှေသည်လည်း ဘုရားသခင်နှင့် တွေ့စေခြင်းငှာ၊ လူများတို့ကို တပ်ထဲကဆောင်ခဲ့သဖြင့်၊ သူတို့သည် တောင်ခြေရင်းအောက်၌ ရပ်နေကြ၏။
17Moses led the people out of the camp to meet God; and they stood at the lower part of the mountain.
18ထာဝရဘုရားသည် မီးဖြင့်လွှမ်းလျက်၊ သိနာတောင်ပေါ်သို့ ဆင်းသက်တော်မူသောကြောင့်၊ တတောင်လုံး မီးခိုးထွက်လေ၏။ မီးခိုးသည်လည်း မီးဖို၏မီးခိုးကဲ့သို့ တက်၍ တတောင်လုံး ပြင်းစွာလှုပ်လေ၏။
18Mount Sinai, all it, smoked, because Yahweh descended on it in fire; and its smoke ascended like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain quaked greatly.
19တံပိုးမြည်သံသည် ကြာကြာမြည်လျက်၊ အသံတိုး၍ ကြီးသောအခါ၊ မောရှေသည် ခေါ်၍၊ ဘုရားသခင်သည် စကားသံနှင့် ထူးတော်မူ၏။
19When the sound of the trumpet grew louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by a voice.
20ထာဝရဘုရားသည်လည်း သိနာတောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်သို့ ဆင်းသက်၍၊ မောရှေကို တောင်ထိပ်ပေါ်သို့ ခေါ်တော်မူလျှင်၊ မောရှေသည် တက်လေ၏။
20Yahweh came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. Yahweh called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
21ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း၊ လူတို့သည် ကြည့်ရှုခြင်းငှာ ထာဝရဘုရားထံသို့ ကျော်ဝင်၍၊ အများတို့သည် သေကြလိမ့်မည်ဟု စိုးရိမ်စရာရှိသောကြောင့် ဆင်း၍ သတိပေးလော့။
21Yahweh said to Moses, “Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to Yahweh to gaze, and many of them perish.
22ထာဝရဘုရားထံသို့ ချဉ်းကပ်သော ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်တို့သည်လည်း၊ ကိုယ်ကိုကိုယ် သန့်ရှင်းစေရမည်။ သို့မဟုတ် ထာဝရဘုရားသည် ဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မူမည်ဟု မောရှေအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
22Let the priests also, who come near to Yahweh, sanctify themselves, lest Yahweh break forth on them.”
23မောရှေကလည်း၊ လူတို့သည် သိနာတောင်သို့ မတက်နိုင်ကြပါ။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ မကျော်ရသော အဆီးအကာတို့ကို တောင်ပတ်လည်၌ စီရင်၍၊ သန့်ရှင်းစေလော့ဟု မှာထားတော်မူပြီဟု ထာဝရဘုရားအား ပြန်လျှောက်လေ၏။
23Moses said to Yahweh, “The people can’t come up to Mount Sinai, for you warned us, saying, ‘Set bounds around the mountain, and sanctify it.’”
24ထာဝရဘုရားကလည်း၊ ဆင်းသွားလော့။ သင်နှင့်အာရုန်သာလျှင် တက်ရမည်။ ယဇ်ပုရောဟိတ်များ၊ လူများတို့သည် ထာဝရဘုရားထံသို့ တက်ခြင်းငှာ မကျော်မဝင်စေနှင့်။ သို့မဟုတ် သူတို့ကို ဒဏ်ခတ်တော်မူမည် ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။
24Yahweh said to him, “Go down and you shall bring Aaron up with you, but don’t let the priests and the people break through to come up to Yahweh, lest he break forth on them.”
25မောရှေသည်လည်း လူများတို့ရှိရာသို့ ဆင်း၍ ကြားပြောလေ၏။
25So Moses went down to the people, and told them.
