¹ထိုနောက်၊ အာဗြံသည် အသက်ကိုးဆယ်ကိုးနှစ်ရှိသောအခါ၊ ထာဝရဘုရားသည် အာဗြံအားထင်ရှား တော်မူ၍၊ ငါသည် အနန္တတန်ခိုးရှင် ဘုရားသခင်ဖြစ်၏။ ငါ့ရှေ့မှာ သွားလာ၍ စုံလင်ခြင်းရှိလော့။

¹When Abram was ninety-nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram, and said to him, “I am God Almighty. Walk before me, and be blameless.

²ငါ၏ ပဋိညာဉ်ကို သင်နှင့် ငါပြုမည်။ သင့်ကို ငါအလွန်များပြားစေမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

²I will make my covenant between me and you, and will multiply you exceedingly.”

³အာဗြံသည်လည်း ပြပ်ဝပ်လျင်၊ ဘုရားသခင်က၊

³Abram fell on his face. God talked with him, saying,

⁴ငါပြုသော ပဋိညာဉ်သည် သင်၌ရှိ၏။ သင်သည် လူမျိုးအများတို့၏ အဘဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

⁴“As for me, behold, my covenant is with you. You will be the father of a multitude of nations.

⁵နောက်တဖန်သင်၏ အမည်ကို အာဗြံဟုမခေါ်ရ။ သင်၏အမည်ကို အာဗြံဟံဟုခေါ်ရ၏။ အကြောင်းမူကား၊ ငါသည် သင့်ကို များစွာသော လူအမျိုးတို့၏ အဘအရာ၌ ခန့်ထားပြီ။

⁵Neither will your name any more be called Abram, but your name will be Abraham; for I have made you the father of a multitude of nations.

⁶ငါသည် သင့်ကို အလွန်ပွားများစေမည်။ သင်အားဖြင့် လူအမျိုးမျိုးတို့ကို ဖြစ်စေမည်။ သင်၏ အမျိုး အနွှယ်၌လည်း ရှင်ဘုရင်ဖြစ်ရကြလိမ့်မည်။

⁶I will make you exceedingly fruitful, and I will make nations of you. Kings will come out of you.

⁷ငါသည်သင်၏ဘုရား၊ သင့်နောက်၌ သင့်အမျိုးအနွယ်၏ ဘုရားဖြစ်မည်ဟု၊ သင်နှင့်သင်၏ အမျိုးအနွှယ် အစဉ်အဆက်တို့၌၊ ငါ့ပဋိညာဉ်ကို ထာဝရပဋိညာဉ် ဖြစ်စေမည်။

⁷I will establish my covenant between me and you and your seed after you throughout their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God to you and to your seed after you.

⁸သင်သည် ယခုဧည့်သည်ဖြစ်၍နေသော ပြည်တည်းဟူသော၊ ခါနာန်ပြည်တရှောက်လုံးကို၊ သင်အား၎င်း၊ သင့်နောက်၌သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ်အား၎င်း၊ အစဉ်အမြဲ အပိုင်ပေးမည်။ သူတို့၏ ဘုရားလည်း ငါဖြစ်မည်ဟု မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူ၏။

⁸I will give to you, and to your seed after you, the land where you are traveling, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession. I will be their God.”

⁹တဖန်ဘုရားသခင်က၊ သို့ဖြစ်၍ သင်နှင့်တကွသင့်နောက်၌ သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ် အစဉ်အဆက်တို့သည်၊ ငါ၏ပဋိညာဉ် ကို စောင့်ရှောက် ရကြမည်။

⁹God said to Abraham, “As for you, you will keep my covenant, you and your seed after you throughout their generations.

¹⁰သင်နှင့်တကွသင့်နောက်၌ သင်၏အမျိုးအနွယ်သည်၊ ငါ့ရှေ့မှာ စောင့်ရှောက်ရသော ငါ၏ ပဋိညာဉ်ဟူမူကား၊ သင်တို့တွင် သားယောက်ျားတိုင်း အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံရမည်။

¹⁰This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your seed after you. Every male among you shall be circumcised.

¹¹အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာသည်၊ ငါနှင့်သင်တို့ပြုသော ပဋိညာဉ်၏ လက္ခဏာသက်သေဖြစ်ရလိမ့်မည်။

¹¹You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskin. It will be a token of the covenant between me and you.

¹²သင်တို့ အမျိုးအစဉ်အဆက်တို့၌ သားယောက်ျားတိုင်း၊ ကိုယ်အိမ်၌ဘွားသောသူဖြစ်စေ၊ ကိုယ့် အမျိုးမဟုတ်။ တပါးအမျိုးသား၌ ငွေနှင့်ဝယ်သောသူ ဖြစ်စေ၊ အသက်ရှစ်ရက်မြောက်လျှင်၊ အရေဖျားလှီး မင်္ဂလာကို ခံရမည်။

¹²He who is eight days old will be circumcised among you, every male throughout your generations, he who is born in the house, or bought with money from any foreigner who is not of your seed.

¹³ကိုယ်အိမ်၌ ဘွားသောသူ၊ ကိုယ်ငွေနှင့်ဝယ် သောသူသည်၊ အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံရမည်။ ငါ့ ပဋိညာဉ်လည်း သင်တို့၏အသား၌ ထာဝရပဋိညာဉ် ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။

¹³He who is born in your house, and he who is bought with your money, must be circumcised. My covenant will be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant.

¹⁴အရေဖျားမလှီး၊ အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို မခံသောသားယောက်ျားကို သူ၏ အမျိုးမှပယ်ရှင်းရ၏။ ထိုသူသည် ငါ့ပဋိညာဉ်ကို ဖျက်လေပြီဟု အာဗြံဟံအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁴The uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin, that soul shall be cut off from his people. He has broken my covenant.”

¹⁵တဖန်ဘုရားသခင်က၊ သင်၏မယားစာရဲကို မူကား၊ စာရဲဟူသော အမည်ဖြင့်မခေါ်ရ၊ စာရာဟူသော အမည်ဖြင့်ခေါ်ရ၏။

¹⁵God said to Abraham, “As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but her name will be Sarah.

¹⁶သူ့ကိုငါကောင်းကြီးပေး၍၊ သူ့အားဖြင့်လည်း သင်အား သားကိုပေးမည်။ အကယ်စင်စစ်သူ့ကို ကောင်း ကြီးပေး၍၊ သူသည် လူအမျိုးမျိုးဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ သူ၏အမျိုးအနွယ်၌လည်း အပြည်ပြည်သော ရှင်ဘုရင်ဖြစ်ကြ လိမ့်မည်ဟု၊ အာဗြဟံအား မိန့်တော်မူ၏။

¹⁶I will bless her, and moreover I will give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she will be a mother of nations. Kings of peoples will come from her.”

¹⁷ထိုအခါအာဗြဟံသည် ပြပ်ဝပ်လျက် အသက် တရာရှိသော သူသည် သားကို ရလိမ့်မည်လော။ အသက် ကိုးဆယ်ရှိသော စာရာသည် သားကိုဘွားလိမ့်မည်လော ဟု ရယ်လျက်၊ စိတ်နှလုံးထဲမှာ အောက်မေ့ပြီးလျှင်၊

¹⁷Then Abraham fell on his face, and laughed, and said in his heart, “Will a child be born to him who is one hundred years old? Will Sarah, who is ninety years old, give birth?”

¹⁸ဣရှမေလသည် ရှေ့တော်၌ အသက်ရှင်ပါစေ သောဟု၊ ဘုရားသခင်ကို လျှောက်သောအခါ၊

¹⁸Abraham said to God, “Oh that Ishmael might live before you!”

¹⁹ဘုရားသခင်က၊ သင်၏မယားစာရာသည် သင်အားသားကိုဘွားလိမ့်မည်။ ထိုသားကိုလည်း ဣဇာက်အမည်ဖြင့် မှည့်ရမည်။ သူ၌၎င်း သူ့နောက်မှ သူ၏ အမျိုးအနွယ်၌၎င်း ငါ၏ပဋိညာဉ်ကို ထာဝရ ပဋိညာဉ် ဖြစ်စေမည်။

¹⁹God said, “No, but Sarah, your wife, will bear you a son. You shall call his name Isaac. Isaac means “he laughs.” I will establish my covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his seed after him.

²⁰ဣရှမေလအမှု၌ကား၊ သင်၏စကားကို ငါနားထောင်၏။ သူ့ကို ငါကောင်းကြီးပေး၏။ သူ့အနွှယ်ကို တိုးပွားစေ၍ သူ့ကို အလွှန်များပြားစေမည်။ သူသည် မင်းသားဆယ်နှစ်ပါးတို့၏အဘ ဖြစ်လိမ့်မည်။ ကြီးသော လူမျိုးဖြစ်စေခြင်းငှါလည်း ငါပြုမည်။

²⁰As for Ishmael, I have heard you. Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly. He will become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation.

²¹သို့သော်လည်း၊ နောင်နှစ်၊ ချိန်းချက်သောအချိန်တွင်၊ စာရာသည် သင်အားဘွားလတံ့သော သားဣဇာက်၌၊ ငါ၏ပဋိညာဉ်ကို ငါတည်စေမည်ဟု မိန့်တော်မူပြီးလျှင်၊

²¹But my covenant I establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this set time next year.”

²²မိန့်မြွက်တော်မူသံငြိမ်း၍ ဘုရားသခင်သည် အာဗြံဟံမှ တက်ကြွတော်မူ၏။

²²When he finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

²³အာဗြဟံသည်လည်း၊ သားဣမေလမှစ၍၊ ကိုယ်အိမ်၌ ဘွားသော သူအပေါင်း၊ ကိုယ်ငွေနှင့် ဝယ်သော သူအပေါင်းတည်းဟူသော၊ အာဗြဟံအိမ်နှင့်ဆိုင်သော ယောက်ျားအပေါင်းတို့ကို ယူ၍၊ ဘုရားသခင် မိန့်တော်မူ သည်အတိုင်း၊ တနေ့ခြင်းတွင် အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို ပေးလေ၏။

²³Abraham took Ishmael his son, all who were born in his house, and all who were bought with his money; every male among the men of Abraham’s house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin in the same day, as God had said to him.

²⁴အာဗြဟံသည် ကိုယ်တိုင်အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံသောအခါ၊ အသက်ကိုးဆယ်ကိုးနှစ်ရှိ၏။

²⁴Abraham was ninety-nine years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

²⁵သားဣရှမေလသည် အရေဖျားလှီး မင်္ဂလာကို ခံသောအခါ၊ အသက်တဆယ်သုံးနှစ်ရှိ၏။

²⁵Ishmael, his son, was thirteen years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

²⁶တနေ့ခြင်းတွင် အာဗြဟံနှင့်သား ဣရှမေလ သည် အရေဖျားလှီးမင်္ဂလာကို ခံလေ၏။

²⁶In the same day both Abraham and Ishmael, his son, were circumcised.

²⁷သူ၏အိမ်၌ ဘွားသောသူ တပါးအမျိုးသား၌ သူ၏ငွေနှင့် ဝယ်သောသူ၊ သူ၏အိမ်နှင့်ဆိုင်သော ယောက်ျားအပေါင်းတို့သည်၊ သူနှင့်အတူ အရေဖျားလှီး မင်္ဂလာကို ခံကြလေ၏။

²⁷All the men of his house, those born in the house, and those bought with money of a foreigner, were circumcised with him.
